Pentucket Bank closes its main branch today and opens a temporary downtown office as well as a revamped Riverside branch—all in preparation for a $160 million downtown Haverhill redevelopment. The long-considered plans, first reported by WHAV more than two years ago and confirmed last year, are now taking shape following developer Salvatore N. Lupoli's closing on city and bank land. The mixed-use housing and retail project covers White's Corner through the entirety of what is known as the Herbert H. Goecke Jr. Memorial Parking Deck. Pentucket Bank CEO Jonathan H. Dowst and President Eric G. Leuteritz detailed the plans Monday morning for WHAV listeners.“We've been planning our stadium branch renovation for quite some time. It was a little bit delay in construction but it will be opening this week. Related to that, really choreographed, we will also be also be closing our Merrimack Street, Main Street branch at One Merrimack Street and opening a temporary branch across the street at HC Media,” Dowst explained.Dowst and Leuteritz appeared live on WHAV's “Win for Breakfast” program. While there will be a full-service branch nearby with the reopening of the Pentucket Bank branch on Lincoln Avenue, Leuteritz says a temporary branch will hold the bank's place at White's Corner.“It will be a cashless branch, so you won't be able to take cash in, but you'll be able to do most of the transactions. You can get a new debit card, you can open an account, you can get inquiries, there will be somebody staffed there basically 40 hours a week. Then, any other type of transaction, we have a new ATM over next to Barrios. We've had an ATM there for awhile, but this one will take deposits as well rather than just dispense cash,” he said.Dowst noted Lupoli's forthcoming a 600-car parking garage, food pavilion and housing., but emphasized Pentucket Bank will return to One Merrimack St., but in a new building. “So, that entire building is being demolished as part of the redevelopment. When we build it back, though, we'll have safe deposit boxes, a vault. It will be a full-service branch and that's probably 12 to 15 months away,” he said.Dowst went on to give a bit of history.“It's really important to us to take a community leadership role and invest in the downtown. We've always done that. We did it at Harbor Place. We did it at One Merrimack Street when we bought that branch—it was originally doctors' offices, if you go way back, part of Pentucket Medical—and we have invested in that over time, and now it's time to give way. If you notice, the Merrimack Street intersection there narrows, and it really is a traffic choke point. The town has wanted to redevelop that and widen that intersection for years. Without our offices being sold into the development, they couldn't do that. This allows for the redevelopment they way the town would like to redevelop it,” Dowst explained.Lupoli's kicked off the five-acre redevelopment in December with a groundbreaking ceremony in front of the parking deck—a project former Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini described as the capstone of his career.Support the show

Today, I'm talking to Glenn Neargarder. Glenn became a Christian in 1988, spent time in the ministry, administration and went on to work at Bank of America. In trying to help his home church with their administration he uncovered what is often the weakest part of many churches, having a coherent and complete administrative system. He started a “passion project” to serve small churches by doing all the administrative functions for them at extremely low cost. Glenn will be a speaker at the Climb Conference in Dallas this year. If you've ever been frustrated with your church financial situation and are looking for a low-cost, one-stop solution, you need to listen to what Glenn is talking about. More about Glenn: Glenn became a disciple of Jesus in 1988 as part of the University of Cincinnati campus ministry. Immediately after graduation in 1992 he and his wife, Vicki, moved to Chicago to work in the full time ministry. After 3 years in the full time ministry (Chicago and Champaign, IL) they moved to Los Angeles. Glenn worked in church administration for the International Church of Christ at the Los Angeles head quarters for four years. He then went back into the full time ministry for three more years as part of the North region of the Los Angeles Church of Christ. Glenn then spent 14 years working for Bank of America in mortgage servicing operations. During his last 7 years he held an SVP of Operations position with offices across the country and internationally managing over 1,000 employees. Glenn has been working as a business improvement and transformation consultant in the pharmaceutical industry since 2016. Glenn's experience with local and international church administration, full time ministry as well as his experience with managing large operations domestically and internationally in a corporate environment have allowed him to develop skills in Human Resources, financial management, legal, policies and procedures, process improvement, performance management, state and federal employment laws, and technology and systems. How to Reach Glenn: ChurchAdm.Com General Support / Main Office support@churchadm.com (919) 229-9315 Ramon (Mon) Eusebio (Manager) Mon@churchadm.com (919) 229-9315 Glenn Neargarder (CEO/Owner) Glenn@churchadm.com (919) 229-9521 How to Support The Rob Skinner Podcast Your tax-deductible gift will help me get my next mission team sent off. Click the link here:  https://tucsoncoc.breezechms.com/give/online?fund_id=1728794
Kent Wellington has a diverse practice with an emphasis in litigation and labor/employment law, and advising start-ups, having run his own family foundation for the past 16 years. Kent has tried cases to favorable jury verdicts in all the local state and federal courts, but prides himself on avoiding litigation and getting cases resolved quickly and cost effectively. Kent is a former member of the Firm's Executive Committee, past chair of the Litigation Group, and currently serves as Cincinnati Market Leader. Professionally, he is most proud of the strong client relationships and client friendships he has developed over the years. Kent was described by the GM/CEO of one large publicly traded client as follows: “What has always impressed me about Kent is his emotional intelligence. He exudes a great deal of confidence and he is aggressive in his pursuit of any issue, yet he is compassionate and caring in the process. He is able to make all kinds of people feel very comfortable around him.” Based on client comments like this and the grading and comments of his peers, Kent is recognized with an AV Rating, the highest rating given to lawyers by Martindale-Hubbell. Since 2005, Kent has been recognized every year as a “Super Lawyer” (or “Rising Star”). Only 2.5 percent of Ohio lawyers receive this honor. In 2004, the Cincinnati “Business Courier” named Kent (along with his late wife, Karen) two of Cincinnati's top “Forty under 40.” Kent also has received awards from the American (1997), Ohio (2000) and Cincinnati (2008) Bar Associations, The Ohio State University College of Law (2001), the Cincinnatus Society (2002), the Cincinnati Park Board (2015). Kent has two primary passions outside of work: mentoring vulnerable kids (for the past 30 years) and putting some FUN on the calendars of families LIVING with cancer (for the past 16 years). The leader of our Bricker Graydon on Main Office, Kent also spends a significant amount of time in our downtown OTR neighborhood through Saturday Hoops, Dribblethon, CYC mentoring, and other not-for-profit, entrepreneurial, and faith-based groups. On September 26, 2006, President George W. Bush presented Kent with the President's Volunteer Service Award. Kent also received leadership and advocacy awards in 2004 from both The Arc-Hamilton County (MR/DD) and W.E.B. DuBois Academy (OTR), from St. Aloysius Orphanage (in 2011), the “Linda K. Heines Award of Inspiration and Hope” (with his two children) from the Breast Cancer Alliance in 2013, and the "Clement L. Buenger Award for Leadership" from the United Way in 2018. Kent is also a graduate of the United Way BOLD program, the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (“CALL), and Leadership Cincinnati (Class 39), and gave the keynote address at Beechacres Parenting Center's 170th anniversary (in 2019) and a TedX talk in 2020. Several years ago, Kent relocated to Covington, KY with his wife Alexia, and his son Robby and daughter Angeline live nearby. Kent also enjoys biking, running, swimming and coaching basketball. He has competed in triathlons since the early 1990's, including three Escape from Alcatraz triathlons and several 1/2 Ironman's.

Growing up in the 1930's in Cincinnati OH, Rudy Danzinger's parents weren't music listeners. Lionel Hampton was Rudy's first major exposure to music and because of that single live performance he became a fan of big band music. Moving to California, Rudy took a job as manager of a local record store, Marin Music, in Mill Valley CA. Rudy innovated early on; soliciting record orders from the area businesses as well as hooking up a speaker near the store's front door causing customers to come in off the street asking what he was playing. Pretty heady stuff for the early 1950's. Rudy met Russ Solomon in 1958 working for Record Supply, a music distributor. It proved to be a fateful meeting that would pay off down the road when Rudy came to work at Tower.Working in Book Division, Rudy found his calling. Partnering with publishers to get Tower Books some co-op advertising, Rudy soon became the conduit for Book signings that made sense for Tower. Musicians, athletes, and yes straight up authors were often greeted at a Tower book signing by Rudy Danzinger.Rudy reminisces about some of the better signings that came Tower's way. He also tells the story of a book signing Tower passed on, but brought the author to the Main Office to meet Russ Solomon, only to leave the Corporate office with 500 Tower employees lined up high-fiving and roaring their approval as he left.Rudy Danzinger claims he's the oldest living ex-Tower employee around. Whatever his status, you'll enjoy our conversation with a man who truly loved his job and brought joy to many he worked with.Â

There are two types of queries that can be performed: the limited query and the full query. For more information on these two queries, please click here. In 1971 Carla Henson went to interview for a Summer job at the Tower Records headquarters in Sacramento. She got the job and she stayed with it for the better part of 30 years. Her original workplace was at a desk in between Walter “Bud” Martin and Russ Solomon. Later, Carla worked for John Schier, Stan Goman and Chris Hopson. When she started with the company, there were only 5 people working at the Main Office. Carla Henson had a hell of a ride and a front row seat to the genesis of Tower Records. Born in Oakland and struck by lightning when she heard the record “Tallahassee Lassie” by Freddie Cannon while in second grade, Carla's was a life of music both behind the scenes and on the scene. Hanging backstage with Russ Solomon, Roger McGuinn and Bob Dylan in Houston, TX, digging deep into the local music scene in both Austin, TX and New Orleans, LA and flying to Tahiti to meet up with Russ were all a part of a day's work for Carla. “I got up every day for 30 years and loved…my…job! Not a lot of people can say that,” Carla tells us. Join us for a very special conversation this week with Carla Henson.Â
In this second interview with former Tower Records COO Stan Goman, he tells us about his transition from the field to the Main Office, his relationship with Russ Solomon, why Tower Records never opened stores in Florida, did Apple Computers approach Tower Records to sell the new iMacs in 1998, how fancy restaurants chosen by the record labels didn't impress him and how he dealt with his departure from Tower Records when he was let go at the end. All this and more in this episode of “2500 DelMonte Street: The Oral History of Tower Records”.

Welcome to "Beyond the Main Office." I am your host Kay from the YouTube show Mrs. Leefatt Teach, IG @mrs.leefatt. I remember when I attended school in my primary and secondary school years. I used to just come to school and learn with my teachers and never got to know them. I only knew them as my teachers in the classroom and didn't even know anything about them. As an educator who has been teaching for almost 22 years, I know that my students do not know the real me. They don't know our lives outside of the classroom. That is why I developed "Beyond the Main Office." I named the show "Beyond the Main Office" because after passing the security desk, all visitors have to go to the main office to get to all areas in the school. When educators come through the school doors, they have to sign in the main office and when they leave they have to sign out in the main office. I want to know where they go after they leave the main office out the school's doors. I want listeners to know educators as their genuine selves. What makes them who they are? What was their childhood like? What keeps them going? What obstacles did they have to overcome to get to where they are now? Listen as I have conversations with educators from everywhere in the educational system and from all around the world. I hope you get to connect to educators and see them Beyond the Main Office! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kay802/message

January 23 2020 Are you graduating or leaving the WRDSB at the end of the semester? If so, please remember to return your Chromebook and charger to the Main Office after your last exam or before January 23rd if you have no exams. Also, your computer and email account will be disabled shortly after you leave or graduate, so don’t forget to back up all your important data and email. Please be sure that people and organizations who need to contact you have your personal email address. You will not be able to access your @wrdsb.ca email after you leave the school board. If you have any questions or concerns, please see Ms Penteker. More than 300 of you have agreed to stand for peace on WCI's Peace Wall. The project began in response to recent terrible aggression in the world. Those, on the wall, stand for peace in their daily lives and in the world. They also stand in solidarity with all our students and staff who continue to be impacted by war. It's a small act, but it is something. If you would like to be on the wall, come to guidance at lunch Wednesday or Thursday. Let's build this wall...of peace! Happy New Year to all our Asian students who are celebrating the Lunar New Year this Friday! Also known as Spring Festival, the New Year begins on the new moon on Friday, ushering in the Year of the Rat. Families gather for a reunion dinner. They also thoroughly clean their house, in order to sweep away any ill-fortune and to make way for incoming good luck. We wish all of you good fortune, happiness, wealth, and longevity (as well as success on your exams) on the occasion of Chinese New Year!

This peace project was inspired by recent world events and the fact that we have students from all over the world including many refugees who had to flee war. Crossing Borders invites you to be part of the wall to stand in solidarity with these students. Look for a photographer by the peace wall or roaming the halls and share your message of peace. Today we continue with Bart and Charlie pulling themselves the rest of the way out of the quicksand. They are tired and gasping for breath after drudging through the mire. Taggart, now noticing the two lying on the ground, derides them for lolly-gagging and trying to get a tan. He tosses a shovel down and tells them to put it to good use. Bart, unable to take it anymore, graps the shovel. Charlie tries to convince him to not do it! However, there is not stopping Bart who whacks Taggert on the back of the head as he is dictating a telegram to the main office. The minute ends with Taggart, his head in bandages below his hat, telling Hedley Lamarr about the need for the railroad to go through Rock Ridge. Our guest today is professor Robert E.G. Black. By day he teaches classes in communication, while at night he is behind podcasts such as Michael Myers Minute, Dave Made a Minute and The Room Minute. We hope you enjoyed today's episode. These evenings always helped me to go home to myself. Very empowering to use my voice authentically. Afterwards my heart and soul are always humming like a hummingbird. In the future I love to invite Jan-Hendrik to organize a Soul Singing retreat in Aruba. But for now I would like to share the mantras and soul songs that I will facilitate intuitively and will share my passion for voice liberation.  Besides my shamanic drum I have some other small instruments but we will mainly use our most powerful instrument being our voices. No need to have singing experience nor do you or your family have to admire your voice. This type of singing is intended to open your heart, go within and find what likes to be heard.  It would be wonderful if men would also join these evenings, because it is so beautiful to listen to their timbre.  What to expect? We will be singing meditative but also celebrative depending on the group. Please feel free to try it out, and discover something new about yourself.  Sign up at 594 4250 or email geasouge@gmail.com. The song & mantra singing evenings are donation based. UEFA Europa League FINAL When: 16 May / 2:45 pm - 4:30 pm Where: CafĂ© the Plaza (L.G. On April 8, 1933, the Main Office for Press and Propaganda of the German Student Union proclaimed a nationwide "Action against the Un-German Spirit", which was to climax in a literary purge or "cleansing" by fire. On May 10, 1933, Nazi Germany staged an event unseen since the middle ages young German students from universities, which formerly had been regarded as among the finest in the world, gathered to burn over 25k books. On April 6th, two days before the initial declaration, William Lyon Phelps of Yale University, who taught the first American University course on the Modern Novel shared the following thoughts on a public radio broadcast.
