We’re being bathed in WiFi all the time. We’re constantly connected to our phone and it keeps pulling us back into it - notifications, emails, calls. We’re all trying to multitask and achieving less than ever. We’re all trying to set goals but failing because we’re not doing the inner work, or connection to the emotions we want to feel. For that same reason, we’re unable to find a loving partner. If we could only connect with the understanding and deep knowledge that we are more powerful, more amazing, than we know… but sometimes we need a little help.   Nootropics: What are nootropics? Since we did the 'Sleep On It' episode a little while back, we're finding ourselves still thinking about sleep and the role it plays in health, recovery, wellbeing etc - and so this episode is building on the sleep subject. Blue Light is a natural frequency of light that we're supposed to be exposed to mainly from the sun - it sets our body clock. However, in the modern world we're exposed to unprecedented amounts of intsnse blue light at all sorts of unnatural times of the day - this is via stuff like modern light bulbs, LED lights, smartphones, tablets, televisions, computer monitor, the lot! In this we expolore what's going on here and some ways that we can help limit this over exposure to blue light. We also talk about red light (which is something I didn't know about before looking into this all further). Thaddeus Owen - Biohacking with Primal Hacker - Part 2 Thaddeus began his journey outdoors, camping and fishing as a boy in the Adirondacks and Central NY forests. After a decade spent developing pharmaceutical products, he just couldn’t face another day adding terrible ingredients like high fructose corn syrup and numerous red dyes into children’s medicine. He shifted gears and engineered a successful work from home assignment following Tim Ferriss’s 4 Hour Workweek. From there, he was able to find a way to incorporate more movement, nature and sunshine into his work environment. After learning about biohacking from the man who coined the term, Dave Asprey, Thaddeus healed his own anxiety, lowered his blood pressure and fixed his sleeplessness using biohacking, PrimalHacking and Qigong. He spends his free time experimenting on himself in hopes of helping others on their journey. He writes about his experiments on PrimalHacker.com.
