Uusi kirja Kongosta Sortavalaan, Esseitä suomalais-afrikkalaisesta historiasta valaisee suomalaisten kytköksiä siirtomaavaltaan kahden eri ihmisen - Namibiasta Suomeen tuodun Rosa Lembergin ja Kongossa laivan konemiehenä toimineen Akseli Leppäsen - kautta. Rosan lisäksi Suomessa ei ollut juuri muita tummaihoisia, ja hän joutui kaikkialla ihmisten ihmeteltäväksi. Akseli pestautui hyväpalkkaisiin töihin Belgian siirtomaahan Kongoon, raaistui vähitellen ja alkoi käyttää väkivaltaa paikallisiin muiden valkoisten tavoin. Néstor Rosanía, profesor universitario, experto en Conflictos internacionales, estuvo en 6AM para abordar qué viene para Siria tras la histórica caída de Bashar al Assad.

Presiden Prabowo Terima Delegasi Japan-Indonesia Association di Istana Merdeka Presiden Prabowo Subianto menerima kunjungan delegasi Japan-Indonesia Association (JAPINDA) di Istana Merdeka, Jakarta, pada Kamis, 5 Desember 2024. Menteri Investasi dan Hilirisasi, Rosan Roeslani, yang mendampingi Presiden Prabowo dalam pertemuan tersebut menyampaikan bahwa diskusi berjalan produktif. Bahkan, Presiden Prabowo mengapresiasi kontribusi jangka panjang perusahaan Jepang di Indonesia. “Bapak Presiden pertama-tama tentunya mengapresiasi perusahaan-perusahaan besar Jepang yang sudah cukup lama, cukup panjang di Indonesia. Mereka tadi juga meng-update beberapa investasi yang sedang dan rencana yang akan mereka lakukan,” ujar Rosan kepada awak media di kawasan Istana Kepresidenan Jakarta. Rosan juga menjelaskan bahwa salah satu topik utama dalam pertemuan tersebut adalah kelanjutan proyek Blok Masela, yang telah direncanakan sejak tahun 2000. JAPINDA menyampaikan harapan agar proyek tersebut dapat mulai berjalan tahun depan dan diharapkan selesai beberapa tahun ke depan. "Karena itu juga akan menjadi dampak yang sangat besar buat Indonesia," ungkapnya. Presiden Prabowo juga mendorong keterlibatan perusahaan Jepang dalam proyek Great Giant Sea Wall, sebuah inisiatif besar untuk melindungi Jakarta dari banjir dengan panjang hingga 600 kilometer. "Itu juga diharapkan partisipasi dari perusahaan-perusahaan Jepang ini karena mereka juga perusahaan construction-nya juga kita harapkan bisa berpartisipasi,” ucap Rosan. Selain sektor ekonomi, diskusi juga mencakup pendidikan dan kesehatan. Presiden Prabowo mengusulkan pendirian sekolah dan universitas Jepang di Indonesia sebagai bagian dari pengembangan sumber daya manusia. "Bapak Presiden juga tadi mengundang untuk dibukanya sekolah-sekolah Jepang, universitas Jepang di Indonesia karena kita juga sudah membuka ada beberapa universitas yang kita ketahui bersama akan membuka kampusnya tahun depan di Indonesia baik itu dari Amerika dan juga dari Inggris. Sehingga diharapkan juga dari Jepang bisa ikut berpartisipasi dan responsnya juga positif," tutur Rosan. Turut hadir dalam pertemuan tersebut adalah Menko Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto, Menteri Luar Negeri Sugiono, Menteri Investasi dan Hilirisasi Rosan Roeslani, Sekretaris Kabinet Teddy Indra Wijaya, dan Wakil Menteri Keuangan Suahasil Nazara.

Sementara ditanya perihal rencana investasi Apple di RI, Rosan Roeslani menegaskan terus berkomunikasi dengan pihak Apple. Apple disebut sudah memaparkan investasi yang akan dilakukan, termasuk terkait komponen, baik di dalam maupun di luar ponsel, secara mendetail. Rosan pun berharap segera ada kesepakatan investasi Apple di Indonesia pada pekan depan.

Tänään podcastissa vieraana kuuden lapsen äiti Rosa Kuusamosta.  Viiden sairaalasynnytyksen jälkeen Rosa päätti vihdoin synnyttää vapaasti kotona. Kokemukset sairaalassa vaihtelivat traumaattisesta ja väkivaltaisesta korjaaviin, kunnes viides synnytys oli viimeinen niitti. Kohtelu sairaalassa oli niin ala-arvoista, nöyryyttävää ja epäinhimillistä, että synnytyksen jälkeen Rosa teki miehelleen selväksi, ettei enää koskaan synnyttäisi sairaalassa, sanoi mies mitä tahansa. Jo neljännen ja viidennen synnytyksen kohdalla Rosa oli tehnyt kompromissin ja mennyt sairaalaan synnyttämään miehen toiveesta.  Kuudennessa raskaudessa Rosa tuli kasvotusten päätöksensä kanssa ja käsitteli mm. kuolemanpelkoa. Mies oli loppuraskauteen asti sitä mieltä, että soittaa ambulanssin, kun synnytys käynnistyy. Rosa pysyi päätöksessään ja perusteli miehelle kantaansa syvällisesti. Lopulta vielä juuri ennen synnytystä Rosa totesi miehelleen, että synnyttää yksin, jos mies ei pysty olemaan tukena. Sen kuultuaan mies päätti kääriä hihat ja seisoa Rosan tukena. Näin todella tapahtui, synnytyksessä mies oli rauhallinen, avulias ja vankka kuin kallio.  Synnytys oli nopea, ihana ja intensiivinen. Rosa keskittyi ja nautti tilanteesta. Mies totesi heti synnytyksen jälkeen: "Tämän voisi tehdä saman tien uudestaan, elämäni upein kokemus! Kiitos kun sain kokea tämän sinun kanssa!" If communities are to thrive in the future, we need to quickly imagine and implement an entirely new approach to urban development: one that is centered on equity and rethinks social, political, and economic systems as well as urban designs. With attention to this need for structural change, Reimagining Sustainable Cities advocates for a community-informed model of racially, economically, and socially just cities and regions. The book aims to rethink urban sustainability for a new era. What would it take to make urban places greener, more affordable, more equitable, and healthier for everyone? In recent years, cities have stepped up efforts to address climate and sustainability crises. But progress has not been fast enough or gone deep enough. If communities are to thrive in the future, we need to quickly imagine and implement an entirely new approach to urban development: one that is centered on equity and rethinks social, political, and economic systems as well as urban designs. With attention to this need for structural change, Reimagining Sustainable Cities advocates for a community-informed model of racially, economically, and socially just cities and regions. The book aims to rethink urban sustainability for a new era.
