What does it mean to truly love like Jesus? In Philippians 2, Paul calls us to a life of unity, humility, and selfless love—putting others before ourselves, just as Christ did. Jesus, though fully God, chose to humble Himself, taking on the role of a servant and giving His life for us. This kind of love changes everything.Pastor Matt Surber, of Mission City Church in San Antonio, TX, continues in this series. In a world that promotes selfish ambition, we are called to something greater—a love that unites, a humility that serves, and a faith that shines. Join us as we dive into Philippians 2 and discover what it means to live with the same love.Missioncity.church_______________________________Sermon Notes are available at missioncity.church/watch/

Richard Hardin's GPWF: Mercy, Grace, Charity, -(Works Of God!) Three of the most important words in the Bible for Christians to understand! - My Books: Amazon.com/Richard-A-Hardin/e/B09J2YHCVB Clarifies Mercy, Grace & Charity!***It may surprise you but Mercy, Grace, and Charity are not different kinds of Love! They are ways that God Who is Love comes to us in different ways and relates with us! For example: The Water that comes to your house from the main city water line is divided up when it gets to your house and goes many different paths; to the bath tub, commodes, to the kitchen sinks, to the refrigerator, to the hot water heater, etc. Now when you have a problem and want to identify it to the plumber, you say the commode water won't flush, or the hot water heater is not heating, the bath water will not turn on, and identify to the plumber the area of problem. The water is the same in all these areas. Mercy, Grace and Charity are the same Love of God (God), and it is God (God is Love),(Jesus is God the Same Love, and their Words are the Spirit of God, working or moving in different ways to us or thru us, but it is the same Spirit of God(His Words) in all cases because we only have one God and one Spirit of God! Charity is the same actions of God working with or in people which is described differently by the Apostle Paul who says "faith that worketh by love" which would be the same as a Christian accepting God's call (Word) into their heart, and obeying God's call to teach, preach, witness etc., and God going and working with the Christian in their heart to confirm His Words thru the Christian to the other person(s) heart and supply the needs. Love isn't a part of the Christian faith—it is the very essence.
In this episode I tackle the dark side of meaning making. As humans we instinctively assign meaning to events or experiences we go through. Some of the info I draw from comes from Dr. Benjamin Hardy's book Personality Isn't Permanent. In the book he says "we can generate a premature cognitive commitment about ourselves" this cognitive commitment can be based on mistaken or misinformed meaning of things. Meaning that begins or helps to shape our self-image and how we see the world. Creating meaning is fundamental to who we are and who we become. As Brene Brown says, "we are meaning makers!" I also reference the Same Love by Macklemore & Ryan. How trauma leads to attaching meaning about ourselves is discussed as well. For more about me visit my website www.ryanwynder.com. Today's Passage: Philippians 2:1-8Today's Prayer: Oh, Father, how challenging a call to be like Christ. Oh, how much I grasp for my own peace and security... Yet, again, I'm reminded that the ability to consider others above myself is only done through the truth that I am encouraged, comforted, cared for, and loved by the deep well that is Christ Jesus. May this prayer attributed to St. Francis of Assisi be our guide as we continue to seek him in this day of prayer and fasting... Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me bring love. Where there is offense, let me bring pardon. Where there is doubt, let me bring faith. Where there is despair, let me bring hope. Where there is darkness, let me bring light. Where there is sadness, let me bring joy. O Master, let me not seek as much to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that I receive, it is in self-forgetting that I find, it is in pardoning that I am pardoned, and in dying that I am raised to eternal life. For thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever…AMEN.NOTES & LINKS:21 Days of Prayer and Fasting WebsitePDF Guide to Prayer & FastingAs part of the 21 days, we're committing to 21 days of 24/7 prayer. One day I (MC Till) was just minding my business when I saw this fresh looking emcee doing his thing on instagram. I clicked on something then clicked on something else and soon I found myself listening to “Same Love as Drug Dealers.” First the title alone drew me in. Then, the beats. They were mostly boom bap and also had an eclectic feel but the album remained cohesive. And then, the subject matter and how our guest tonight delivers his words. He is vulnerable one moment, expressing universal pain of loss and disappointment. Then, the next moment he is uplifting and sending us timely messages to make us better. We talk about that album and more in this episode of The Boom Bap Chat with Denmark Peoples. Check out Denmark's album at https://open.spotify.com/album/24AoP9ruC4WuTI0WZAxJ5I?si=YM3CTmfXStWxV1r3Mtxfmg The Boom Bap Chat is a podcast that explores Hip-Hop music and the people who create it. iomos marad, Profound, MC Till, and sometimes Beau Brown discuss lyrics, production, classic albums, building community, and much more with a mix of legendary and up and coming artists. In the U.S., payors and providers need each other to deliver the highest-quality care at the lowest cost—but they don't always get along. Russ Thomas, CEO of Availity, joins Justin to discuss the systemic factors driving the misalignment between payors and providers. Russ and Justin discuss how technology and a new perspective might be able to simplify two of biggest points of friction: utilization management and authorization workflow. Justin and Russ ask the tricky questions facing our overly complicated system of healthcare reimbursement: How can payors and providers create more transparency in the claims process? Can AI and other tech solve payors' yield problems? And is a single-payor system really the answer to our healthcare woes?To learn more about Definitive Healthcare, please visit us at definitivehc.com.

“Same Love” singer-songwriter Mary Lambert opens up to Elizabeth Vargas about how experiencing childhood trauma, including sexual assault, being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and a difficult relationship with the church as a queer woman, led to her intentionally misusing alcohol for many years. Now two years without alcohol, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter explains how writing music and poetry acts as a healthy outlet for her, with a mission to share songs that are, as she describes, “productive and helpful.” Content warning: This episode contains mentions of death, as well as in-depth discussions of substance use, suicide and sexual abuse.
