The Superhero Show Show #468The Devil Dinosaur is in the DetailsIt's time for Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, plus...Dick Tracy!?!...on an all-new Superhero Show Show!On an all-new, all-different episode of The Superhero Show Show, Cassie and the Boyz are taking some time off from the final season of The Flash to check out Disney Plus' new all-ages animated show Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur! They usually let other podcasts - hosted by children - take the all-ages show, but it's a slow time of the year, and who doesn't love Luna Lafayette? They watch the first episode, and discuss this new(er) character, her bright red sidekick, and her other, much smaller sidekick, Casey. Are the Taste Buds really too old for a show like this? Or too young? They discuss the animation style, which is obviously striking, and different than the shows they grew up with, but does it work? And the big question: will Moon Girl continue to get coverage on the show, or will it go the way of Batwheels, a show that some of them liked, but ultimately ignored? Tune in to find out! Then, The Flash gets a little bit of attention, as Team Flash tries to figure out what to do with Caitlin-lookalike Snow. And if that wasn't enough, the Taste Buds do the world the tedious honor of checking out Warren Beatty's latest attempt to hold on to the rights to Dick Tracy, with the new AMC special Tracy Zooms In. Will they regret this decision? Yes. Yes they will. You don't even have to tune in to figure that part out. Now, my co-host Chaterick Geepeetee will come on to give their interpretation of this episode."The Superhero Show Show" is a podcast that focuses on reviewing and discussing television shows based on comic book superheroes. As the saying goes: "If you love something, send it into gladiatorial combat." In Better Worlds' first superhero tournament (our first anything tournament, for that matter), we have ten Marvel and six DC heroes facing off for the biggest birthday blast this side of Tunguska. Sixteen heroes enter, only one… will… Belay that. This discussion got a little more heated than we expected, so this is going to be a two-parter. Fill out your bracket and follow along.
This week marks the 150th episode of The Weekly Planet! And to celebrate we just do a regular episode and repeat the Superhero Showdown thing we do occasionally. Plus we talk Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2, Steve Rogers dropping to role of Captain America, Thor: Ragnarok, Captain Marvel, Gambit losing its director and a Justice League Dark movie going ahead.3:55 Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 concept art7:08 Captain America is no longer Captain America14:41 Odin back for Thor: Ragnarok16:58 Guardians Trailer (the weird Russian one)25:03 Captain Marvel Director26:56 Gambit loses a director27:25 Dark Universe Justice League Dark movie31:10 Superhero Showdown!1:25:29 What We Reading/What We Gonna Read1:27:55 Letters It’s Time For LettersAmazon affiliate link: https://amzn.to/2oQConrRAWCollings Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/rawcollingsPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/mrsundaymoviesMr Sunday Movies YouTube Channel: https://goo.gl/lB90W2The Weekly Planet YouTube Channel: https://goo.gl/1ZQFGHFind our T-Shirts here: https://goo.gl/q6gE9C See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Whether it is a political elegance that divides a team, or the philosophical difference between an alien and a psychotic billionaire; it seems more and more common to see super heroes fight amongst themselves these days, and when this happens, nobody is safe. This week we look at what we could do to survive as bystanders to a superhero showdown, its likelihood, and the biggest question of all: if there is even a 1% chance that one could destroy the earth, shouldn't we destroy him first?
