Reacher Season 4 Episode 6 Full Reaction Watch Along: / thereelrejects Based on Lee Child's bestselling novel Gone Tomorrow and developed by Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break), Reacher stars Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher (Titans, Blue Mountain State), Sydelle Noel as Detective Tamara Green (GLOW, Black Panther), Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette as Jacob Merrick (Barry, Fanboys), Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth (Pernikahan Dini, The Hospital), Anggun as Amisha Hoth (Cannes Confidential, The Voice Indonesia), Kevin Weisman as journalist Russell Plum (Alias, Marvel's Runaways), Kevin Corrigan as Detective Shaun Docherty (The Departed, Grounded for Life), and Marc Blucas as Congressman John Samson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Knight and Day). Good Enough to Keep Watching, Not Good Enough to Stop Complaining This week on the podcast, Brian and Darryl take a somber look back at three icons we lost this week with Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, and Peter Cullen, and the massive mark each left on pop culture. Then it's back to the weekly watchlist as Ted Lasso tries to bring the Greyhounds together, Reacher digs deeper into an increasingly dangerous conspiracy, and Lanterns pushes Hal Jordan and John Stewart further into a mystery that is getting a whole lot more cosmic. Episode Index Intro: 0:07 Celebrity Deaths This Week: 4:46 Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 4: 16:20 Reacher Season 4 Episode 5: 24:40 Lanterns Season 1 Episode 2: 3240 Celebrity Deaths Dolly Parton January 19, 1946 – August 25, 2026 | Age 80 Country music icon, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, and philanthropist Dolly Parton died August 25 after what her representatives described as a brief battle with cancer. Her six-decade career produced classics including “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” and “I Will Always Love You,” while her film career included 9 to 5 and Steel Magnolias. Parton's legacy extends far beyond music. She helped build Dollywood into one of Tennessee's biggest attractions and founded the Imagination Library, which has provided hundreds of millions of free books to children. Dollywood announced that the park would remain open following her death, honoring her belief that “the show must go on.” Infamous angle: One of those genuinely rare celebrities who seemed to transcend genre, politics, generations, and even celebrity culture itself. Tim Curry April 19, 1946 – August 25, 2026 | Age 80 Actor, singer, and voice performer Tim Curry died peacefully at his Los Angeles home following a period of ill health. Curry became a cultural icon as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but his ridiculously versatile career also included Clue, It, Home Alone 2, Muppet Treasure Island, Legend, The Three Musketeers, and decades of stage and voice work. He received three Tony nominations and continued working after suffering a major stroke in 2012 that left him using a wheelchair. For an entire generation of genre fans, Curry was basically the patron saint of unforgettable villains and weirdos. Peter Cullen July 28, 1941 – August 26, 2026 | Age 85 Legendary Canadian voice actor Peter Cullen died peacefully at his Los Angeles home surrounded by family. No cause of death has been announced. Cullen became inseparable from Optimus Prime, originating the character’s voice in the 1984 Transformers animated series and returning repeatedly across animation, games, and the live-action films. He also voiced Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh and contributed memorable vocal work to Predator, Knight Rider, G.I. Joe, and numerous animated series. The voice and personality he created for Optimus were inspired in large part by his older brother Larry, a decorated Marine veteran, whose advice to Peter was essentially that a real hero should be strong enough to be gentle. That philosophy became fundamental to Optimus Prime. Infamous angle: For anybody who grew up in the ’80s, this one hits differently. Optimus Prime wasn’t merely a cartoon voice. Ted Lasson (Apple TV) Network: Apple TV Genre: Comedy / Sports / Drama Developed By: Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly Starring: Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift Season: 4 Episode: 4 Episode Title: “Greyhounds’ Day Off” Release Date: August 26, 2026 Episode Summary Ted, Beard, and Coach Alice try to break up the cliques developing within the new team by canceling practice and sending everyone out for some forced bonding, eventually leading the group to pub trivia and considerably more trouble than Ted probably planned. Meanwhile, Rebecca and Keeley attend a women’s football business summit where they encounter eccentric sports investor Zelda Southport, played by Tracey Ullman. Zelda’s aggressive approach to investing in women’s sports gets Keeley’s attention while Rebecca remains considerably more skeptical. Roy and Keeley’s increasingly complicated relationship also continues, with Keeley challenging Roy to actually date other women before the two seriously consider getting back together. Rating Out of 5, Boots Ain’t Messing Around Brian: 3.3/5 Darryl: 3.1/5 Reacher (Amazon Prime) Network: Prime Video Genre: Action / Crime / Thriller Based On: Gone Tomorrow by Lee Child Developed By: Nick Santora Starring: Alan Ritchson, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, Kevin Corrigan Season: 4 Episode: 5 Episode Title: “Bridge” Release Date: August 26, 2026 Rating: TV-MA Series Summary A seemingly random encounter aboard a Philadelphia subway pulls Jack Reacher into a conspiracy involving a missing flash drive, government operatives, hired killers, and information powerful people are desperate to keep buried. Season four adapts Lee Child's Gone Tomorrow and drops Reacher into an increasingly tangled political and intelligence conspiracy. Episode Summary After a misunderstanding turns Reacher into Philadelphia's most wanted man, he spends much of the episode doing what Reacher does best: escaping situations that should probably be impossible to escape. Meanwhile, Jacob, Tamara, and Plum recover the flash drive Anna mailed before her death, along with her phone, but their attempt to finally get some answers turns into a violent confrontation with Lila and Amisha. Jacob gets his first genuine opportunity to strike back at the people responsible for his sister's death. The recovered evidence also starts bringing the larger conspiracy into focus. A photograph connects Congressman Sampson to a disgraced Indonesian general, but Reacher suspects another person in the image may actually be more important to the mystery. Anna's phone also gives the group stronger evidence tying Lila directly to the killings. By the end, Reacher and Tamara's investigation leads them toward another confrontation while Jacob is taken hostage, leaving Tamara with a pretty awful decision to make. And this one definitely supports the subtitle vibe we were talking about: there's plenty of entertaining Reacher insanity here, but the season is getting increasingly dependent on everyone accepting some wildly convenient and increasingly ridiculous shit to keep the plot moving. Rating Out of 5, How Many Ways Can One Person Escape the Police? Brian: 3.2/5 Darryl: 3.25/5 Lanterns (HBO Max) Lanterns Network: HBO / HBO Max Genre: Drama / Sci-Fi / Action / Mystery Created By: Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, Tom King Starring: Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Laura Linney, Jason Ritter Season: 1 Episode: 2 Episode Title: “Trust Fall” Release Date: August 23, 2026 Rating: TV-14 Series Summary Veteran Green Lantern Hal Jordan is assigned to train former Marine and newly recruited Lantern John Stewart. Their relationship begins badly enough before the two are dragged into an investigation surrounding a bizarre killing in rural Nebraska. What initially resembles an Earthbound murder mystery steadily exposes a much larger extraterrestrial conspiracy connected to the history of the Green Lantern Corps. Episode Summary Hal and John investigate a deadly shooting in an attempt to prove that an alien force was responsible, with their investigation increasingly pointing toward one of the Green Lantern Corps’ oldest mistakes: the Manhunters. The episode digs deeper into the mystery surrounding Rushville while separating Hal and John enough to develop both characters individually. Sheriff Kerry also reveals that she originally came from Gotham, quietly expanding the show’s connections to the larger DCU.And then the episode drops the considerably bigger comic-book bomb: Sinestro, played by Ulrich Thomsen. The imprisoned former Lantern is positioned almost like the show’s Hannibal Lecter, someone Hal doesn’t trust but may need because Sinestro understands both Hal and the threat they are facing better than almost anyone. If you're looking at a “shows canceled too soon” list, there's a good chance Netflix's GLOW is on it. The Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch-created series first debuted on Netflix in 2017, and quickly had viewers falling in love with its electric ensemble packed with a wide array of big personalities.Alison Brie's Ruth Wilder is a struggling actor who scores a rather unusual opportunity. In 1985, Ruth is cast in the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. It's a show that's the first of its kind — a wrestling television show featuring all female wrestlers. Ruth and the rest of the cast, including Betty Gilpin's Debbie, Gayle Rankin's Sheila, Jackie Tohn's Melrose, and Sydelle Noel's Cherry, take their underdog wrestling production on an epic roller coaster ride that lands them in Las Vegas, performing GLOW matches live. Season 3 ends with a glimmer of hope for getting GLOW back on television, but we never got to see if Debbie and Bash's (Chris Lowell) plan panned out because Netflix canceled GLOW in October 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, despite having renewed it for a fourth and final season. Not only are fans still thinking about GLOW seven years after it wrapped its run, but so are the show's stars, like Alison Brie. While on the press circuit promoting her new movie, Masters of the Universe, Brie carved out the time to make her second appearance on Collider Ladies Night, and while discussing scene partners who made an indelible impression on her, she was moved to tears recalling her collaboration with GLOW co-star, Betty Gilpin. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Asked about Diggle's greatest challenge going into Season 6, Ramsey replied, “We have to break Diggle. I think Season 6 we'll see Diggle get broken in a way he hasn't been broken before. It already starts in [the first episode], and I think there's a certain amount of it that will continue throughout the season. I think it's an arc for Diggle that we haven't seen, even beyond his brother coming back to life and killing his evil brother and that leading to the death of the Canary.” Diggle's brokenness will — in part — come from the trauma of his island experience will “greatly affect the whole team.” Diggle is typically an open book — keeping both Team Arrow and Lyla informed about what's going on in his life. With these “monumental” physical and mental changes happening to him, it sounds like we're going to see a version of Diggle we have never seen before. http://www.cbr.com/diggle-broken-arrow-season-6/ ‘Arrow' Adds Sydelle Noel for Season 6 (EXCLUSIVE) (Date: 04 Aug 2017) The CW's first DC show, “Arrow,” has cast Sydelle Noel in a recurring role for its sixth season, Variety has learned exclusively. Noel will play Samanda Watson, an FBI agent who will be investigating Oliver Queen's connection to the Green Arrow. Noel was most recently seen on “GLOW” on Netflix, and she also has a role in Marvel's upcoming “Blank Panther” movie. http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/arrow-season-6-casting-sydelle-noel-exclusive-1202515492/ ‘Arrow' Producers Already Have Plans For Season 7 [TCA 2017] (Date: 03 Aug 2017) While previewing season six with the Television Critics Association after a panel for Legends, producer Marc Guggenheim, who also co-created and produces Arrow, said the Arrow writers already have ideas for season seven. “We've already started talking about ooh, we have a shape for season seven already,” Guggenheim said. “This is the earliest we've ever had an idea for a season that far ahead, but it's come out of our conversations about season six.” Beyond season seven, it may be time to begin thinking about giving Arrow a proper series finale. However, when that inevitable time comes, Guggenheim would not require long-term planning to deliver the ending he and co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg have planned. “I think we've always had an endpoint in mind,” Guggenheim said. “We've always known how we want to end the show. That end point doesn't require X number of seasons. If we had to, we could work towards it as long as we knew with enough leeway, we could work towards the moment we've been talking about since day one.” http://www.slashfilm.com/arrow-producers-already-have-plans-for-season-7-tca-2017/ CW Announces Fall Dates For DC Superhero Crossovers – TCA (Date: 02 Aug 2017) CW announced that the first night of this season's WBTV/DC superhero crossover will be Monday, Nov. 27 when Supergirl will be paired with Arrow. That day reps a one time move to Monday for the special occasion. The crossover concludes Nov. 28 with The Flash in DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Commenting on the crossovers going from four nights last season to two this fall, CW president Mark Pedowitz said, “Last year's (crossover) was the most successful week in CW history in terms of ratings and everything. We felt in this particular case we had Flash on Legends paired, so it was better to make it two two-hour movies – a miniseries – we thought this was the best way to go. We had a lot of conversations with producers and marketing people.” http://deadline.com/2017/08/the-flash-arrow-supergirl-dc-legends-of-tomorrow-dc-superhero-crossovers-1202140712/ GENERAL DC TV NEWS DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: SEASON 3'S SUPERNATURAL VILLAIN RECRUITS GORILLA GRODD (Date: 02 Aug 2017) "At the head of whatever you want to call our evil organization, it's different. Last year it was three characters from the three different shows that form this alliance. This is a non-human entity," executive producer Phil Klemmer told IGN at the 2017 TV Critics' Association summer press tour. "This is a much more supernatural, spooky vibe this season. We're dealing more with magic. It's less real-world bad guys." Klemmer was keen to leave that character a secret, but he did promise you will hear the character's name in the Season 3 premiere. Unlike previous seasons which are more science or time-travel focused, Season 3 of Legends will "be more in the world of the occult and monsters." Following behind this leader as his acolytes are familiar characters like Damien Darhk, who will have been brought back to life after his death on Arrow, as well as Gorilla Grodd. This will be a post-Gorilla City Grodd. Klemmer confirms they're still actively campaigning for Matt Ryan's Constantine to appear on Legends of Tomorrow as well. http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/08/02/dcs-legends-of-tomorrow-season-3s-supernatural-villain-recruits-gorilla-grodd?abthid=598251bfd41dd1f256000030 The Flash Casts Iconic Justice League Member For Season 4 (Date 31 July 2017) The CW has cast Hartley Sawyer in the role of Ralph Dibny, who will play a recurring role in the upcoming, fourth season of The Flash. One of the Flash's most iconic allies, Ralph Dibny -- a.k.a. The Elongated Man — is a fast-talking private investigator with investigative skills that rival those of Batman. Upon discovering he has the power to stretch his body to any shape or form, Dibny uses his new abilities to help Team Flash solve one of Central City's greatest mysteries. http://comicbook.com/dc/2017/07/31/the-flash-casts-iconic-justice-league-member-for-season-4/?utm_source=Comicbook.com&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=170731_171252_Comicbook.com+Daily+Newsletter&utm_content=Link ‘DC's Legends Of Tomorrow': Jes Macallan To Recur In Season 3 (Date 01 Aug 2017) Mistresses alumna Jes Macallan has signed on for a recurring role in the third season of the CW's superhero drama DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Macallan will play Special Agent Ava Sharpe, a hard working agent for a secret branch of the Federal Government (the Time Bureau) dedicated to the regulation of time-travel and the protection of history. http://deadline.com/2017/08/dcs-legends-of-tomorrow-jes-macallan-recur-season-3-the-cw-mistresses-1202140467/ Spoiler Room: Scoop on Game of Thrones, The Flash, Supergirl, and more (Date: 03 Aug 2017) What do you have on Barry's return to The Flash? — Apparently, not everyone will be on board with how to go about getting Barry back. “I wish I could say that the team unanimously agrees that things are not the same when the season starts, but not everybody feels that way,” Carlos Valdes tells me. “Most of the energy on the team is toward getting Barry back, and Cisco may or may not have some things up his sleeve with regards with how to make that happen, but there is a member of the team that's not on board, and that ultimately makes the mission to get Barry back a lot more difficult. But the thing about Cisco is if he wants to get his friends back, he will do whatever it takes the get his friends back — and that's not just Barry.” With Floriana Lima not sticking around as a regular, is there any hope you can give for Sanvers on Supergirl? — Yes, Floriana Lima won't be a series regular next season, but the Supergirl bosses hope to keep her around as much as possible. So in the plus column, it really does sound like her character won't meet a grim fate. “Maggie is welcome to come back any time she's free,” EP Jessica Queller says. “We love Sanvers and we're very sad that Floriana is not available full time this season.” EP Robert Rovner adds: “We love this relationship we've created. With that, we're going to be telling a modern day love story that really honors their relationship that hopefully will resonate and I think will be very satisfying. Hopefully, she will come join us [again]. The door is always open for Floriana Lima.” http://ew.com/tv/2017/08/03/spoiler-room-game-thrones-flash-supergirl/ Legends of Tomorrow Casts Spartacus Actor as Julius Caesar (Date 05 Aug 2017) When the show resumes this fall, the Legends will travel from present day 2017 to Ancient Rome. When in Rome, the Legends will run into none other than the infamous Julius Caesar. CBR has confirmed that Julius Caesar will be played by actor Simon Merrells. Merrells previously starred on The CW's The Tomorrow People with The Flash's Robbie Amell. Marrells is also the sixth Spartacus actor to join the Arrowverse, which includes Manu Bennett, Todd Lasance, Liam McIntyre, Nick Tarabay, and Katrina Law. http://www.cbr.com/legends-of-tomorrow-simon-merrells-julius-caesar/ Supergirl Casts 24 Vet Carlos Bernard as Maggie's [Spoiler] in Season 3 (Date: 04 Aug 2017) 24 alum Carlos Bernard will guest-star during Season 3 of the CW series as Maggie Sawyer's father, TVLine has learned. http://tvline.com/2017/08/04/supergirl-casts-carlos-bernard-season-3-maggie-father-oscar/ NEXT EPISODE Link to Promo: (Date: 15 March 2017) https://www.comicbookmovie.com/tv/dc/legends_of_tomorrow/legends-of-tomorrow-check-out-the-new-extended-promo-for-season-2-episode-15-fellowship-of-the-spear-a149633 Episode: “Fellowship of the Spear” [Season 2 Episode 14] Air Date: Tuesday, March 21, 2017 Summary: The Legends land in France during World War I and enlist the aid of J.R.R.
