The Lakers started out on their first road trip in December by heading to the Great White North, where they faced off against the Raptors. And with Luka taking the day off to celebrate the birth of his second child, the Lakers fought off the pesky Raptors as Austin Reaves scored 22 of his 44 points in the fourth quarter, and despite LeBron James failing to score in double digits for the first time in 1,297 games as he made the crucial assist to Rui Hachimura who made a game-ending three to give the Lakers the shocking 123-120 victory. Tune in as the guys get you up to speed on this exciting victory, why Austin Reaves (44 points, 10 assists) always seems to take advantage of Luka's absence, why LeBron James' (8 points, 11 assists) streak ending might be a good thing, and why they got a much-needed lift from the bench with Jake LaRavia (14) and Nick Smith Jr. (12). First, the Clippers cut Chris Paul's retirement tour short because he was bullying the collection of losers he was surrounded by. Anthony explains why this absolutely will impact the Lakers' decision-making this season. I hosted a Twitter Space with Knicks fans after the Knicks smoked the Raptors, and in this episode I break down the win and everything we saw on both ends. My Player of the Game was Mikal Bridges, who continues his All-NBA–level defensive resurgence under Mike Brown. He, along with the help defense, locked up Ingram, holding him to his first field goal late in the second quarter. Ingram finished 4/11 with a minus-22.Deuce came out on fire with four early threes, finishing with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and a plus-18 on 43.3 percent from deep. Mitch dominated inside with 15 rebounds, including 7 offensive, and a plus-17. Josh Hart was everywhere again with 20 points, 4 threes, 3 steals, and a plus-24.The Knicks hit 16 threes at 36 percent while the Raptors went 9 of 17 from the line at 53 percent.I'm State, and this audio is straight from the Twitter Space with live reactions from Knicks fans. In a week where the talk of the sports world will be who gets the best draw in the FIFA World Cup (which we discuss) and the College Football Playoff, the NBA Cup is still trying to find its own footing as the knockout rounds are set. Adam Murray and Andrew Riche, THE NBA-Team, are back together after traveling the world (or, at least, one of them did) to play catch-up on the last couple weeks of the regular season. Are the Raptors and Pistons for real and the Knicks and Cavaliers are just happy to play the tortoises to their hares? Is it too early to declare that the geriatric L.A. Clippers' season is already dead on its feet? Is it possible for the Chicago Bulls to trade their best scoring guard and become a better team in the process? Riche and Adam also discuss the long-term dominance of the Thunder, the joyful transformation of the Miami Heat offense, soft tissue injuries, Lane Kiffin to LSU, and more! So suit up and take it out in episode 369 with the NBA-Team!

Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning open the week by reviewing the Toronto Maple Leafs up-and-down weekend. The guys gauge the disappointment of Friday's loss to Washington against the satisfaction of Saturday's win, noting the unusual nature of a less dominant 7–2 victory over Pittsburgh. They highlight emerging positives, including Dennis Hildeby's strong play, the potential for giving Joseph Woll more rest, Max Domi's fit in the lineup, and effective defensive pairings despite injuries. After the break, they shift to the Toronto Raptors' losses to Charlotte and New York, evaluating what the results reveal about the team's status as an Eastern Conference contender, their scoring concerns when Brandon Ingram struggles, and how the group measures up to preseason expectations. They wrap up the hour with NFL talk, touching on perceptions of the 49ers, the boundaries of trash talk, the legitimacy of the Panthers, and Max Brosmer's rough performance. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliates.
