Republican Georgia Rep. Andrew Clyde is the lead sponsor of the joint resolution of disapproval H.J. Res. 42, which aims to nullify a rule issued by the DOE on October 9, 2024 under former President Joe Biden which added new efficiency and reporting regulations for appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines and AC units. Sen. Jon Husted forwarded the resolution to the House, where it passed on March 5 on a bipartisan vote. “I am hereby instructing Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately go back to my Environmental Orders, which were terminated by Crooked Joe Biden, on Water Standards and Flow pertaining to SINKS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, WASHING MACHINES, DISHWASHERS, etc., and to likewise go back to the common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS, that were put in place by the Trump Administration, but terminated by Crooked Joe,” President Donald Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on February 11. “I look forward to signing these Orders. Meaning the information released today was based on activity in January, February and March 2025.U.S. companies surged the purchasing of import goods, mostly from China, by more than 50% in the first quarter. They were/are building inventory. So, what happens in China starting in April? Hong Kong, CNN – The U.S. has front-loaded the inventory. So, orders to China drop now. It's a natural outcome. We have purchased goods in advance. So, orders to China drop. As a result, the cargo shipments from China to the USA drop in April, May and June. It's not that U.S. consumers don't have the product to purchase; the reality is the product is already here, awaiting purchase. to retain an oppositional perspective toward Donald Trump, the media narrative will not look back at the 50% surge in first quarter purchases; they will only look at the severe drop in second-quarter orders. With less being ordered, the media will now say the Trump tariffs are hurting consumers, deliveries to ports are substantially less, without ever mentioning the products are already here. On the upside, there will be a massive rebound in Second Quarter GDP as the imports have dropped; meaning there is less to deduct. However,

A “Washing Machine” sits in each company ready to toss you into a cycle of doing. If you let yourself and others enter it, you have shut the door on the full potential of the humans who have come alongside you to create something of value. These people have a conscious or unconscious need for meaning in their lives. If you are the leader: by title or by ownership, you have a choice to make. You can recognize that each person is searching for alignment and see your role as inviting them into your journey, or you can determine what you can extract, and mine it until it doesn't produce the return you need. What kind of builder are you? This Great Conversation suggests that there is a way to build for value that does not subtract from another. And that ultimately this path can change you and our world. Jae Gerhard is the principal forensic scientist at Independent Forensic Services. Starting out as a forensic scientist at the Australian Federal Police in 2002, Jae is an expert in body fluid detection, bloodstain pattern analysis, and DNA analysis and interpretation. In this episode of Crime Insiders Forensics, Kathryn Fox asks Jae to take us through the process of DNA collection. How accurate it is? How is it processed? And how useful is it for evidence? Jae also tells us about Stain 91, a blood stain pattern that played a part in helping to solve one of Australia's most renowned murder investigations - the Lin Family Murders. In the second hour Chris and Amy talk with Daniel Kaplan, Front Office Sports Business Writer to find out everything from the Business side of the Super Bowl from tickets to commercials. Amy needs help with her washing machine. KMOX Sports Contributor Bernie Miklasz joins the show to talk the big game, Torry Holt's chance at the Hall of Fame, Nolan Arenado trade rumors and Mizzou basketball.
In typical MotorMouth fashion, our first topic is how to diagnose a modern washing machine by reading its trouble codes. Next up is Chris' frustration with small brake bleeder fittings, and we learn that he just needs better tools. Ray talks about a custom ratchet MatcoMan Brian made for him but Chris ain't buyin' it! Add some more explicit warnings—Dori will make you blush and confuse Emmanuelle with Emmanuel Lewis. What happens when you return Sly Stallone's call? You make a song with more “Bams” than the entire Rocky franchise. Dori reviews '80s anime, and Paulo discovers a forgotten Keanu Reeves film that may have inspired his Bill & Ted character—but definitely features Aunt Becky in her undies. Full House, anyone? #565: When Codie Sanchez worked in finance, she wasn't planning to buy a laundromat. But facing 60-70 hour workweeks and realizing she didn't want her boss's job, she started looking for an exit strategy. Instead of buying a fancy car during her "midlife crisis," she purchased that first laundromat - a decision that would lead her to acquire multiple laundromats, car washes, and other local businesses. Codie joins us to break down how regular people can buy and run profitable local businesses, even without previous ownership experience. These "Main Street" businesses - think laundromats, car washes, landscaping companies, and other local services - often generate steady cash flow without requiring complex technology or massive scale. She shares eye-opening stats about business ownership in America: while 80 percent of Americans owned a business in the 1800s, today that number has dropped to just 6 percent. Meanwhile, private equity firms have increased their ownership of small businesses from 4 percent in 2000 to 20 percent by 2020. But there's good news for aspiring business owners. Codie breaks down 21 different ways to finance a business acquisition, from seller financing to equipment loans. She explains that 60 percent of businesses sell with some form of seller financing, making ownership more accessible than many realize. Want to avoid common pitfalls? Codie introduces her RICH framework: - Research: Define what type of business fits your goals and skills - Invest: Get skin in the game, but never risk bankruptcy - Command: Use systems and metrics to avoid accidentally buying yourself a job - Harness: Build toward bigger goals if desired She emphasizes starting small — master one business before attempting to build an empire. A successful acquisition requires understanding the "roadmap to making money" - the 5-7 key steps that drive profit in any business. The numbers tell an encouraging story: while 90 percent of startups fail within 10 years, small business acquisitions have a 75-95 percent success rate. Codie attributes this to buying proven business models rather than starting from scratch. Perhaps most importantly, she challenges the notion that "boring" businesses can't generate serious wealth. From a roofing company founder becoming one of the world's wealthiest women to a garbage collection entrepreneur building a billion-dollar enterprise, Main Street businesses have created numerous millionaires and billionaires.
