Riding Shotgun With Charlie #180 The DCP Gals & GOAL On August 27, Gun Owners Action League hosted an event called The 2A Freedom Celebration. They pulled in some names you've seen on RSWC. Amanda Suffecool (#009), Holly Sullivan (#036), Jared Yanis (#051). And some locals like Toby Leary, (#143) Kerrie Ann Auclair (#139). We were able to film a show with a few of the local DCP gals, Moe Palmer & Bonnie Marshall. Mike Harris, Director of Public Policy, also joined us. Yeah… it was a car full of teal shirts! There were several folks that sent some love GOAL's way. Todd Eccles from Patriot Defense Podcast, Nikki Goeser, Michael Sodini, David Coy, Klint Macro, John Petrolino, and the closing video was Cam Edwards. Of course Jim Wallace spoke, Jon Green (#030 & #034), Mike & Angi gave away a couple rifles. And Garet & Jeff from the GOAL Podcast (#177) were there as well. It was really a great time. Lots of fun catching up with everyone. I've said for a long time, these kinds of events are family get-togethers. We gave everyone the hot shotgun seat for today's show. Starting with Kerrie Ann, she doesn't get into Boston often so she was excited to see so much. We talked about the Gun Law Listening Tour and how it turned into HD.4420. But she talked about going to one of the stops and speaking with a woman who said she knew she would be dead if she tried to use a gun against her domestic abuser. Kerrie Ann helped her re-think if she had a gun and some training, the gun could have been an equalizer. Mike Harris talked about his time working in the State House in Boston and learning the ropes there. But he also acted as a tour guide. He does know a bit of Boston history and how to get around BeanTown. Holly Sullivan took the next spotlight. She brought up that the GOAL event is the kind of event where the states need to get together and have a conversation about what is working and what isn't. This is one of the things she really wants to work on and connect state groups so we can be just as organized as the antis. Bonnie Marshall has only been shooting for a few years. She's become a Range Safety Officer and started helping Kerrie Ann with her other group, The Well Armed Woman. It was great to have Bonnie break out of her shell and join us for the fun adventure. Moe Palmer is also a local Quincy MA gal. She's also an RSO working with some local instructors to run the shooting line at live fire courses. Moe reached out to me a few years ago. We took a road trip to SIG Academy in 2022 when they opened. She's also a regular on the Patriot Defense Podcast with Todd Eccles. And our closer is Amanda Suffecool. DC Project Advisor. NRA BOD member. Host of Eye On The Target Radio. Instructor. And my conscience. Amanda was great at the event. She talked about how GOAL is winning even though it feels like we may not be all the time. She had a busy week. She was in Nashville on Monday with the DCP. She met with Shelley Hill from The Complete Combatant in Georgia. Then she headed to Boston for the weekend. The following week, she headed to Dallas for NRA BOD meetings. We stopped for selfies, got sidetracked, and saw some sights in Boston. Like Cheers, The Granary Burial Ground, The Old State House & where the Boston Massacre started. Kenmore Square and drove next to Fenway Park, followed by going down Boylston Street, where the Marathon bombings happened and finally up Newbury Street. Yeah…it was an undertaking editing this beast with 6 cameras all together. Some of the batteries ran out, but we did the best we could. This is a long show, the longest I've done. But I wanted everyone to get some time Riding Shotgun. Favorite quotes: Kerrie Ann: “If you had a gun it creates an equalizer for someone that's 5'1”.” Mike: “The unintended consequences of that (covid) a lot of people were more activated so it's easier to get people focused on this bill (HD.4420)” Holly: “In such tiny states in New England, non-resident permits make life accessible.” Bonnie: “It's a bunch of like minded people, really fun.” Moe: “I didn't know there was a community out there. I didn't realize it was a passion.” Amanda: “It's great when your life comes together and you have a mission that will make a difference and leave a legacy.” The DC Project https://www.dcproject.info/ Gun Owners Action League https://goal.org/ Connecticut Citizens Defense League https://www.ccdl.us/ Eye On The Target Radio https://eyeonthetargetradio.com/ Sisters In Arms- A Firearms Story https://www.youtube.com/@SIA-AFirearmStory Armed Women of America https://armedwomen.org/ Second Amendment Foundation https://secure.anedot.com/saf/donate?sc=RidingShotgun Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms https://www.ccrkba.org/ Please support the Riding Shotgun With Charlie sponsors and supporters. Riding Shotgun With Charlie#161Renee Gagne & Kerrie Ann AuclairSisters In Arms, DC Project After I had Kerrie Ann Auclair (RSWC #139) on the show, we became friends. She invited me to an Armed Women of America chapter anniversary celebration and I met Renee Gagne there. The party was fun and I even danced! Then one of them had the idea that they should get in the stagecoach for a dual interview. After Renee became the Rhode Island representative for the DC Project we talked more about making it happen. Then they started their own local access show. They hoodwinked me into having them on my show, then they took me to be a guest on their show, Sisters In Arms. Kerrie Ann and Renee are Sisters In Arms. Really! They both got into shooting and had a yearning for more training. But after several trips to a local club and having several of the guys want to take them out for a date rather than help them, they decided they needed to learn somewhere else. Kerrie Ann learned about The Well Armed Woman (now the Armed Women of America - AWA) and started a chapter. They both became NRA and MA State Police certified instructors through the Gun Owners Action League. And they started training more women. Sometimes, a woman wants to learn about firearms from another woman because they may be domestic abuse survivors or getting out of a bad relationship or divorce, which is very understandable. They have built their chapter with in person and online/virtual training sessions. The ages of their members are from young women up to women in their 70's! Their group meets once a month. They have a learning segment and they hit the range, too. Their training has helped them realize that there are folks that are ‘casual' gun owners and that many people don't dry practice (dry fire) in between meetings. We spend time talking about some training issues and family issues about having a firearm in the home. It's very important that everyone is familiar with firearm safety and that there is a safety plan and everyone knows what it is, too. One of the big things in the family is to not make owning a gun taboo. We need to make firearms a normal part of life. We need to let new (and non-)gun owners know that firearms have several uses, from self defense, recreation, and competition shooting. Starting a chapter led to activism and The DC Project. Kerrie Ann took the role in Massachusetts and Renee just took the Rhode Island spot. Their chapter got some local recognition on the front cover of the newspaper, which led to an interview on the local access station. While they were filming as guests, they had the idea to host their own TV show. They took the newspaper article title, Sisters In Arms, and made that their show name. The show is going to focus on getting the word out about firearms, safety, and activism, but also that gun owners are regular people that you see around town. Many people in MA are closet gun owners who don't want it to let others know that they own firearms. This is a show that was fun to film and make a better connection with Renee and Kerrie Ann. These ladies are out there doing; instructing, activism, and leading. In the middle of the show, we stopped to grab a selfie of a billboard someone has on their property. Of course, since we're in Massachusetts, we had to stop and get a Dunkin'! Favorite quotes:Renee: “We just wanted to learn. We were really super excited about learning. And that was just getting in the way of our learning.” Renee: “The reality is most of us will never shoot anyone.”Kerrie Ann: “You have to be your own first responder and understand what that means.”Kerrie Ann: “Some of the women that come to us are domestic violence survivors…” Email: SistersInArms202@gmail.com Armed Women of Americahttps://armedwomen.org/ The DC Projecthttps://www.dcproject.info/ SIsters In Arms, Episode 1 on TCAMhttps://vimeo.com/772136657 Second Amendment Foundationhttp://saf.org/ Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Armshttps://www.ccrkba.org/ Please support the Riding Shotgun With Charlie sponsors and supporters. Riding Shotgun With Charlie#141Val Evans“Mama Bear”Armed Women of America Last October, I was emceeing the Rod Of Iron Freedom Festival at the Tommy Gun Warehouse at KAHR Arms in Pennsylvania. It was a great event and I got to hang out with some of my 2A friends, including Stephen Willeford, RSWC #088, and I got to make new friends. Stephen, a few others, and I spent about an hour talking at the hotel and he mentioned that I should have Val Evans on the Stagecoach. He gave me her contact number and I reached out. She lives in Virginia and I was going down to film some shows. When I asked if she was interested, she said yes! Val has an amazing story, one that can happen to anyone at any time. I know folks say that all the time, but this is really true. Her husband is a police officer and one year for her birthday, she wanted to go to the police range and go shooting. One night while her husband was working there was a knock on the door. She looked through the peephole and saw it wasn't a neighbor. It was a stranger pounding on the door, breaking it in two places. Val was home alone with their daughter. She enacted the plan, which was to call 911 and get the gun. Once she was armed, she heard glass break and realized that he was coming in through the window. While she was on the phone with dispatch, she was able to find him and get a few shots on him, on his hand and in the groin area. Her daughter called out to see what was going on and she told her everything was fine. The police arrived and that's when she put her gun away. Ultimately, she wasn't brought up on charges for defending herself, but the criminal wasn't brought up either as he wasn't able to let her know his intentions. He was on drugs and didn't know where he was. Fortunately, this brought Val to The Well Armed Woman (now the Armed Women of America). She was filmed for a segment on The BlazeTV for a TWAW at an instructor course. As an instructor, she helps empower women through firearms training and her story of self defense. She also shares with us the story about being asked to speak at the NRA Annual Meeting in Indiana. It didn't occur to her that they were asking a lot of questions and were doing a background check on her, which seemed a bit strange. At the NRAAM is where she not only met Stephen Willeford, but also met President Trump. Even with training, support, and friends, this was still a difficult thing for Val to deal with. It took a few years to get over the PTSD that she had from the incident. One of the most helpful things for her was training other women that they can handle situations like this themselves and sharing this helped Val, too. One of the main lessons I learned from her story is that you NEED a plan for safety, regardless if it's at home, work, or in the car. She was a dispatch herself and learned what she needed to do. Her dispatch work came in handy and she did just as they planned, get the gun, call 911. Favorite quotes: “This was the plan, to call 911 and go get the gun.”“The judge was basically like “okay…and…”“I will put down the gun when the officers arrive on the scene.”“It took a lot to get back to myself.”“I was so scared that I was going to get in trouble for shooting him.” “Everyone I talked to was like ‘I couldn't do that'. I was like ‘Yes, you can!'” “You want to know how to use it even if you don't have to use it.” Armed Women of America Website https://twawshootingchapters.org/ Armed Women of America Instagram https://www.instagram.com/twawshootingchapters/ Second Amendment Foundation http://saf.org/ Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms https://www.ccrkba.org/ Please support the Riding Shotgun With Charlie sponsors and supporters. Riding Shotgun With Charlie#139 Kerrie Ann AuclairThe DC ProjectArmed Women of America I have a YouTube playlist of all the DC Project (DCP) members who have been on the show. When I found out Kerrie Ann was the new member for Massachusetts, I sent her the list and asked if she would be on the show. Last fall, we both took a course from Gun Owners Action League (GOAL) and had a chance to talk and set up an interview. A couple weeks after the course, Kerrie Ann went to Florida for the DCP Summit for the first time. Kerrie grew up here in New England and was very anti-gun when her children were young and she was a new mom. Like many folks, there was an incident that changed her situation on a dime. There was a home invasion in Connecticut, where the father/husband was tied up while the criminals/murderers beat and raped with wife and daughters, then set the house of fire. The father was able to escape the home. Kerrie's husband heard this story and wanted her to get a firearm to protect their family. After a neighbor who is also a police officer took them to the range, Kerrie was a new woman and wanted to learn much more about firearms and self defense. While craving to get more training and education, Kerrie found Kelly Pidgeon's (RSWC #056) channel ARMED and Feminine on YouTube. She immersed herself in the videos on Kelly's channel. While they two were messaging, Kelly encouraged Kerrie to start a The Well Armed Woman (now Armed Women of America - AWA) chapter. After she found a host range, they had 30 women at the first meeting and all of them signed up to be TWAW members! Neither Kerrie or her assistant were instructors yet but they had a club. One of the most moving things is the stories the other women shared with Kerrie about why they wanted to get a firearm. There is really a strong need for women to learn and train with female instructors. With the defunding of police and the riots of 2020, more and more women are wanting to get trained in firearms. We spend some time sharing stories about teaching out children firearm safety and even some pepper spray safety. But we also talk about how owning firearms changes how the extended family sees us and what we're doing, living the 2A lifestyle. Of course, the answer to their questions is ‘it's a bunch of nunya bidness'! Unfortunately, it's too bad that others don't accept that there are different strokes for different strokes! Kerrie is also the new DCP representative for Massachusetts. This is a title she isn't taking lightly. She's working with some local women to educate MA residents how to work with and speak to our state politicians and share their stories. She tells us about when she finally got to the DCP Summit and had the chance to meet Kelly Pidgeon and the others. I'm excited that she used my DCP playlist to learn about the others in the group. Besides the DCP and the AWA, she's started her own training business, Ways To Be Empowered. She's trying to stretch out the training to women and men teaching courses and giving private lessons. She's also working on building her own YouTube channel and media reach. Kerrie Ann is definitely someone we all need to be watching and following, not just on social media, but in her actions as well. Favorite quotes: “I was very adamant about having no toy guns in the house. And then it switched.” “We understood how important it was to be supportive to these women, to train in a non-threatening environment.” “You are your first responder.” “Most of the people I talk to do change their mind….If they decide to have a firearm, we're here to help.” “I will never stop fighting for what I think is right.” “Everyone's got their own super power.” Time stamp The DC Project https://www.dcproject.info/ Armed Women of America Website https://twawshootingchapters.org/ Armed Women of America Instagram https://www.instagram.com/twawshootingchapters/ Women Instructor Network Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/616828449367358/members Way To Be Empowered Private Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/waystobeempowered/ Second Amendment Foundation http://saf.org/ Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms https://www.ccrkba.org/ Please support the Riding Shotgun With Charlie sponsors and supporters. Riding Shotgun With Charlie#129 Heidi Bergmann-SchochCompass Defense LLC This past fall I had a trip to New Jersey to hang out with John Petrolino (RSWC #093). As we were talking, I mentioned that this was my first trip in over 2 years without having filmed a show someplace. After some brainstorming of previous New Jersey passengers, we came up with Grant Gallagher (coming soon) and Grant told Heidi Bergmann-Schoch about this and asked if she wanted to be on the show, too. He said she's a great instructor and she has worked with him for years. After lunch, we filmed the shows then I headed home. Heidi started her career as a police officer, specifically a K-9 officer. She started the K-9 officer program in her town and was the K-9 officer in several towns. After being an officer for 7 years, she contracted Lyme's disease and had to retire. Wanting to still give to the community, she got into paramedics. Before being a paramedic, she had to train for an EMT position. She was a paramedic for about 10 years before she bought a farm and got into raising and training horses. Heidi eventually decided to get back into firearms and training. She connected with Grant Gallagher from ScotShot (his episode is coming soon). She taught with Grant for 5 years before starting out on her own. She's certified to teach NRA & USCCA courses at many levels and disciplines. I always find it interesting that unlike Massachusetts, New Jersey doesn't have “approved courses”. But that doesn't mean the process is easy or quick. We talk about some issues that new students of the gun have. Things like buying a gun that isn't good for the student. She calls the new students with new guns the “2A Minnie Pearls''. Yes, you have to be of a certain age to get that reference! I share some stories with some gun clients that I had as well. She also shares a story about some students with snub revolvers who shouldn't have had snub revolvers due to the size of the gun and the size of the student. Besides being an instructor, Heidi is also involved with The DC Project and The Well Armed Woman. She started with The Well Armed Woman by getting ‘sucked in'. She was teaching at a range and the range wanted to start a program. She did all the paperwork and legal stuff to start a chapter, including making some videos and passing a qualification on video. Her chapters meet once a month and have an education section and live fire, then dinner with the girls. Her involvement with The DC Project is helping “educate over legislate”, which is the group's motto. The DC Project is aiming to get women to speak to their legislators at the national and state levels, and share their stories about why they own firearms and why the 2A issue is a women's issue. It's really great to have the chance to meet more folks in the firearm community. Gun people really are the best people. And Heidi is one of them. Favorite quotes “The police classes were more practical.” “That's why I started to change over more to the United States Concealed Carry Association. Their curriculum is more towards the practical use of a firearm in a defensive sense.' “They come in with the tag on it. They come in, they're a 2A Minnie Pearl.” “I can't explain how good the gals are that I have. They are so generous. They are so kind. They support one another.” Compass Defense https://compassdefense.net/ Compass Defense LLC https://www.facebook.com/compassdefense.net The Well Armed Woman https://www.facebook.com/TheWellArmedWoman/ The Well Armed Woman https://thewellarmedwoman.com/ The DC Project https://www.dcproject.info/ We Shoot Shooting Range https://weshootusa.com/ Second Amendment Foundation http://saf.org/ Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms https://www.ccrkba.org/ Please support the Riding Shotgun With Charlie sponsors and supporters. Sharenda Birts bought a gun, and then let it sit in her closet for a year. She wanted to learn to shoot, but just didn't know how people did that. Her fortunes changed when she met group called The Well Armed Woman. Shooting led Sharenda to re-loading her ammo, and then to hunting. She's hunted deer, dove, pheasant -- and totally has plans to keep expanding. Sharenda's story is a powerful testament to what you can accomplish when you take control of your own learning and experience. 2:30 Obligatory adulting knowledge: There are TWO cities called 'Kansas City' -- one in Kansas, the other in Missouri 5:30 How did 'cream of mushroom' get to be the secret ingredient in so many game recipes? 6:00 Idaho pheasant hunting 101 9:30 Learning gun culture when you come from a culture that's not into it... it's hard to walk into a gun range when you don't know how to handle a gun. And if nobody in your network is a gun person? Added obstacles. 10:00 Buying your first gun.... and then letting it sit in the box for a year 10:30 AND THEN... you get invited to a meeting to a group called The Well Armed Woman ... and all of a sudden, you have your people. It was a totally diverse and welcoming group of women, an 'in' to the shooting range 12:00 "Hey, you should probably get into re-loading." Yet again... how do you get that new skill set? 13:00 Then, a commitment: Even though I'm a beginner, I'm going to try to share what I know. The response? Oh boy. 14:00 "You can't be in the firearm community and not be sociable. Firearm people do not let you not be sociable." So true. AND, you also can't not want to try something because you don't have that skill set. Nope. Be a beginner. It's totally ok. 16:00 Back to the re-loading... calling a local Fish and Game department, "Hey, I heard you used to offer these classes. I'm interested," and having it snowball from there 17:00 Facebook communities to check out: "The Re-Loading Podcast" and "The Georgia Shooting Connection" 19:00 Re-loading know-how... there's beginner-level, and PhD-level 21:30 Shooting those first few rounds you've reloaded yourself. What can we be doing to enhance our awareness of the potential for danger in our surroundings? 2) What has been your experience of how Covid is impacting the gun industry? 3) Raising kids in a 2A environment and empowering children with knowledge and training seems like a no-brainer for you and I. How is the training industry working to develop instructors to meet those rising needs? 5) Tell us about your online outreach program monthly via Swanson Training Group (STG) and your local USCCA rep, Dan Tonto to bring folks across the US a free one hour webinar with hosts from the Gun and Training Industry as subject matter experts to talk about home defense, gun safety, proper mindset, etc.
Karen Heise is an emergency preparedness coach and firearms instructor. She leads two shooting chapters of The Well-Armed Woman and has multiple instructor certifications. She and her husband have a business where they help individuals and families become better prepared for emergency situations, covering all aspects of emergency preparedness including firearms training and maintenance. In this episode, Caren and I discuss: Getting exposure to firearms, firearm education, and situational awareness levels. The Well Armed Woman (TWAW) a group of women who meet monthly and practice, learn and grow as shooters. All levels from newbies to experienced competition shooters. Listening to your intuition, recognizing and sensing that something bad is about to happen, and not ignoring it. Conditioning yourself to recognize danger and how to prepare for handling danger when it is imminent. Key Takeaways: Caren’s advice to women in their 20’s is to just go after what you want. And if you fall down, get back up again. Also know there's a special someone out there for everyone. Get out there, do it and give it your best shot, but be cautious at the same time. Don't be naive, try to educate yourself on how the world works so that you don't follow into some of the common pitfalls that many young women do. Caren’s advice to find your own power and courage is to find your voice, your calm, and learn how to be okay with not reacting. Welcome back to another episode of Liberty Revealed with me, your host, Mike Mahony. Today I want to discuss gun ownership and why it is vital to our personal liberty. I will be up front and let you know that I have never owned a gun and probably never will, but I support the right to own a gun for many reasons. Today I want to discuss what those reasons are and give my own insight on gun control in the process. This will be a quick and easy discussion, but many of you won’t agree with me, even those who are gun owners presently. It is OK not to agree--that’s how dialogue is created. I enjoy a good discussion just as much as anyone else. Most people would agree that the right to defend yourself is a fundamental right. At the same time, people will tell you that we should not be allowed to own guns because guns cause violence. I completely disagree with those who say we should not be allowed to own a gun. I want you to stop for a moment and visualize this situation with me. A small person is walking home in the dark. They finished work and are headed home to get some rest. Along the way they are attacked by soemone twice their size. The smaller person fights back, but is no match for the larger person. Now change the scenario a little. Imagine if the smaller person was armed with a gun. Do you think the situation would then turn out differently? It most definitely would. There is a group of people who politicize every single event that involves a gun death. They claim that we need to ban guns entirely. How has that worked out for the rest of the world? Let’s have a look at that right now. To me, the key factor is the homicide rate. People who want to ban guns claim it is becasue so many people are killed by them. These deaths are included in the homicide rate. But will the homicide rate decline if guns are banned? History tells us no. In each country where guns were banned, the homicide rate is flat or slightly higher than it was prior to the ban. What this tells me is that if soemone wants to kill another human being, they will find a way to accomplish that. Banning guns will not change the homicide rate at all. So why take away a basic protection mechanism if it isn’t going to change the homicide rate? What is even more interesting is that when they did a study of the intentional homicide rates of dozens of countries, those with the highest rate of intentional homicide also have the strictest gun control laws. What does this mean to everyone? Please remember that banning guns will not curbe violence or death...it will simply change the nature of the deaths. Criminals don’t obey laws. Banning guns would simply give the criminals more power over the average citizen. Violent criminals will be emboldened knowing average citizens cannot defend themselves. Banning guns would mean people who should be free to go about their business, for example traveling home from work after dark, will live in greater fear. It will mean that people who live in more dangerous areas (and who are typically poorer) have fewer options to defend themselves and their families. People who own guns feel safer. They own guns for their own protection. This is what the studies show. For those like me who don’t own a gun, safety is the number one concern. Still, there are some who scream and yell for strcter gun control laws. When it comes to enacting stricter gun control laws, Americans see both pros and cons. Most (58%) worry that new laws would make it more difficult for people to protect their homes and families. Roughly the same number (54%) say stricter laws would reduce the number of deaths caused by mass shootings. Gun owners themselves are split on the idea of stricter gun control laws. Many believe stricter laws will reduce deaths, while others see it as a move by the government to exert unnecessary control over them. I tend to side with those who feel it is an attempt ot exert unneccessary control. The problem as I see it relates to the definition of terms and how they are used in the debate about guns and gun control. Proponents of gun control talk about “assault rifles”, but that’s a term that was coined as part of the debate. Silencers don’t completely silence a weapon, they make them quieter. Purchase limits won’t stop a criminal from planning ahead. Any competent person can quickly swap out gun magazines. Gun shows account for only a small percentage of sales, and dealers still must follow the usual rules. Machine guns are extremely hard to obtain, and the legally owned ones have been used in a crime only three times since 1934. It is important to note that none of this means there aren’t problems that we should address. One is crime. Gun control would ensure that only criminals had guns. We need to do better at keeping guns out of the hands of criminals instead of harassing the law-abiding. We also should focus on protecting people from criminals, whatever their weapon of choice. Gangs are an incubator of crime, including gun violence; the problem has been exacerbated by the illegal entry of violent gang members from Central America. “Gun control” for the law-abiding won’t disarm these killers. Women are arming themselves in greater numbers. They do so to be safer. Women will tell you they are prey. The female gun owner is different from the male gun owner. She only owns a handgun. She’s more likely than male gun owners to live in an urban area, and less likely to have grown up in a gun-friendly household. And regardless of how many and what types of guns she owns, she’s more likely to report owning firearms for protection than men. The interesting aspect of female gun ownership is that most of the female gun owners live in urbran areas. At a recent meeting of the Well Armed Woman’s Central Maryland chapter, members of the women-only gun club were emphatic that they own guns for self-protection. These women hailed from the suburbs and city in the Baltimore area and if they did not already own a handgun, they were in the market for one. Regardless of which side of the debate you are on, it is important to acknowledge both sides and come to some real conclusion. Stricter gun control laws is really not the answer. Just have a look at Chicago and the constant gun violence there. It has some of the strictest gun control laws in the United States and gun violence runs rampant. The evidence is clear that being allowed to own a gun is something that is related to personal safety and personal liberty. What are your thoughts? That’s all for toda’s episode. If you like what you’ve heard, please rate us 5 stars on Apple Podcasts and Google Play.
