Du erlebst hautnah:- **Echtzeit-Display-Lesen (on the fly)**: Touchscreens von Druckern, Geräten oder Kassen sofort vorlesen. On the Creators Hub podcast, Dusty Porter interviews YouTuber Rich Bowlin (over 200,000 subscribers with under 250 uploads), a retired attorney and CEO of a religious nonprofit whose channel began after making iPad tutorial videos for his 90-year-old mother; the episode is dedicated to her after her recent passing. Rich explains how early "wisdom" videos flopped but simple iPhone/iPad how-to content for seniors took off, leading to monetization at 1,000 subscribers/4,000 watch hours and a growing side hustle. He describes focusing on a clear niche, using analytics to refine topics, upgrading from basic iPhone filming to a home studio with multiple Panasonic Lumix cameras, and streamlining production with custom Claude-built apps, Final Cut Pro, and AI help for ideas and thumbnails. He shares revenue sources (ads, sponsorships, Amazon affiliates), lessons on underpricing sponsors, and encouragement that YouTube still offers major opportunity with perseverance and improvement. About Rich: Retired attorney. CEO of Religious non-profit. My YouTube journey began when my siblings and I bought my 90 yr old mother and iPad. She struggled using it so I made a short tutorial for her to watch. That video got quite a few views so I ended up making a few more simple videos for seniors on how to use their iPad and iPhone. Should cross 200k subscribers this month. An amaziing journey. Connect With Rich: YouTube Channel /// Website   What We Offer Creators Join Creator Communities. Adult ADHD ADD Tips and Support Podcast - A Podcast for Neurodivergent Creatives. ADHD Goal Avoidance - How to Overcome the Aversion to Goal Setting. This podcast is an audio companion to the book "The Drummer and the Great Mountain - A Guidebook to Transforming Adult ADD / ADHD." For many of us, the word “goal” has all kinds of negative associations. It can remind us of past failures, our short-comings, and our challenge with short and long-term planning. Because of how our hyper-creative brain works, our dopamine receptors, and challenges with executive functioning, we often have an initial burst of inspiration... But that initial energy tends to wane and we're left with a list of flat and possibly overwhelming goals that we never look at again. However, knowing how to work with goals is essential to making forward progress in your life. In this episode we explore a very simple trick that will completely change how you think about goals and we'll leave you with a clear exercise to make goal setting far more ADHD-friendly.  Links Mentioned in this Episode: (WORKSHOP) Annual Life Visioning Workshop - Jan 24 & 31 (WEBSITE) Mike Starkey - ADHD & Addiction (SOCIAL MEDIA) @adultadhdtips one Instagram (SOCIAL MEDIA) @adhdneurodivergent on BlueSky (PDF) Our Free ADHD Toolkit - All Worksheets from Previous Podcast Episodes Don't see a player? If you can believe it, our little podcast is celebrating it's 10 Year Anniversary! It's been a truly remarkable journey connecting with all of you. The community that grew up around this podcast spans the globe. Today's episode maps out where we've come from and shares a little bit about what's coming next. The Story So Far... We recently reviewed our statistics and it's quite unbelievable -- our podcast has over 40,000 subscribers and has been downloaded well over 1.7 million times! Wow! From the book's inception, to starting the podcast with Bahman in 2015, it all began very organically and was truly a homegrown effort. Our community, however, has been the greatest gift in this entire endeavor. The goal was to provide an alternative approach to looking at adult ADHD -- not as a disorder, but as a very specific neurological type. To celebrate, we have some truly extraordinary interviews coming up. We'll be speaking with members of our community who have achieved remarkable results by integrating the topics we discuss on the podcast. These are people from around the world -- artists, teachers, emergency responders, ADHD coaches, and more -- who have powerful stories to share. We hope you enjoy this podcast episode, and we're looking forward to celebrating with you over the next few months. Dealing with uncertainty can be immensely triggering -- inducing anxiety, challenges with focus, and ultimately distracting us from what actually needs to get done. Uncertainty can manifest as disturbing world events, family health issues, financial fears, work setbacks... The list goes on and on. And, our brain does not like uncertainty. In this episode we'll explore practical techniques for navigating uncertainty -- getting ourselves out of the spin of tunnel vision, into greater emotional regulation, perhaps even finding real well-being in the face of external chaos. We may not be able to change the external in the moment, but we can fortify our nervous system to be more calm, even in the midst of uncertain outcomes. In this episode of Hands-On Tech, Mikah Sargent tackles a unique smart home dilemma from a viewer named John, who runs his home automation through Android while his wife uses Apple devices. John wants to know if he can use an old iPad as a home hub to give his wife easier access to their home's smart features, like thermostats, greenhouse controls, and outlets, without having to go through his phone. Android-first setup is actually advantageous, as it means devices are already configured independently rather than being locked into Apple's HomeKit ecosystem For HomeKit-compatible devices, adding them to the wife's iPhone/iPad is as simple as scanning the HomeKit codes in Apple's Home app Some suggested approaches for the iPad hub: Use as a portable control panel that can move between rooms Mount it permanently as a dedicated control center using a device such as elago's Home Hub Mount, which allows for clean cable management. Mikah recommends using Home Assistant (home-assistant.io) as a powerful third-party solution that works with more devices than just HomeKit or Google Home, has robust automation capabilities, and has apps for multiple platforms, making it accessible to both users. Mikah also emphasizes the importance of "smart," which means proactive automation, giving examples like automatic fan control based on humidity sensor readings, proximity-based lighting control, and custom scenes triggered by pressure sensors. Adult ADHD ADD Tips and Support Podcast - A Podcast for Neurodivergent Creatives. How to Feel Safe. This podcast is an audio companion to the book "The Drummer and the Great Mountain - A Guidebook to Transforming Adult ADD / ADHD." No matter who you are, we all have a very deep and profound desire to feel safe, peaceful, and secure. In this episode, we'll discuss how to hack your brain into feeling safe. The anxiety and fear mechanism is ancient, and has kept the human race alive so we could be here in this moment. However, this primal part of our brain, when subjected to the modern world, often detects physical threats where there aren't any, leading to a constant and low level feeling of anxiety. This can reduce our mental capacity and lead us into distraction, often shrinking our world and masking those positive opportunities that are available to us. Specifically, we'll discuss: The biological purpose of fear and anxiety The brain chemistry of feeling safe  Scientifically proven ways to feel safe and minimize anxiety Specific meditation practices that can quiet the mind and create deep feelings of safety and stability Long term strategies that can bring an overall sense of calm and peace into your life Links Mentioned in this Episode: (Workshop) ADHD Time and Task Management (Episode) Meditation Practice (Episode) The Brain Chemistry of Courage (Episode) Dopamine Detox (Episode) Stress Management and Addictive Behaviors (Product) Fitbit Charge 6 Health Tracker Don't see a player?
