As a triathlete, sports medicine chiropractor, and former director of player development for the NBA's Brooklyn Nets, he was the first in the West to apply Ayurvedic principles, nose breathing and diaphragm training to optimize athletic performance. We explore how the rhythms of nature, seasonal eating and circadian alignment hold the keys to true health long before the words biohack or longevity ever entered our vocabulary. We'll talk about the dangers of eliminating foods like gluten without addressing digestion, how western medicine and Ayurveda differ in their approach to healing, and what it really means to fix your gut from the inside out.If you're overwhelmed by wellness fads disconnected from your body's wisdom, confused about the meaning of biohacking, we're simply curious about how to live in deeper sync with nature. From July 18-20, Torontonians everywhere in the city heard the thunderous roar of racing cars running circuits around the downtown Exhibition Place. The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto brought drivers and racing fans from around the world—including at least one (but maybe two) Jewish athletes. Robert Shwartzman, the Israeli rookie who stunned the world by taking pole position at the acclaimed Indy 500 in May, continued his fall back to Earth in Toronto, where he came in 16th place. Meanwhile, 20-year-old Nolan Siegel of Arrow McLaren is believed by most to be Jewish—including folks at the Jewish Federations of Toronto and Indianapolis, as well as Jewish racing fans—but we've yet to confirm this. He did, however, finish 18th. Interpret that how you will. The Menschwarmers' own Gabe Pulver went down to the event to learn what he could and witness the noise firsthand. He reports back to guest host Michael Fraiman, who later explains how Jewish NBA rookies Ben Saraf and Danny Wolf performed for the Brooklyn Nets during the 2025 Summer League. The Yankees beat the Blue Jays; Jazz and Bellinger commented. Suzyn Waldman struggled with "Cam Schlittler." Jets camp started, with comments from Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner. Hour 3 Le'Veon Bell's $100K challenge (staying home for 14 days) sparked a discussion. Jerry reported the Jets signed a Samuel Jackson, leading to talk about regular people sharing famous names. The Yankees beat the Blue Jays with a ninth-inning HR by Ben Rice, and Aaron Boone was fired up on Jomboy. The Mets beat the Angels with a Francisco Alvarez homer. A NJ little leaguer was ejected/suspended for a bat flip. Finally, the Hawk Tuah girl sold her X account for $325K. Hour 4 Boomer joined Kay Adams to discuss NFL topics. The Mets face a doubleheader that will strain their pitching ahead of their series against the Yankees, a matchup that's sure to leave one fanbase fuming given both teams' recent pitching woes. Elsewhere, WNBA player Sophie Cunningham stirred controversy with her post-game actions and comments on league expansion. Hour 2 A production error led to the wrong Sports Minute being aired, much to Boomer's frustration. Discussions then turned to the puzzling trend of rising NBA salaries and high team valuations, like the Lakers' $10 billion sale, despite years of declining TV ratings. Callers suggested deals with gambling companies might be propping up the league. In other sports news, the Yankees lost in Toronto with more fielding issues, and George Springer hit two homers, including a grand slam. The hour concluded with news that NBA player Malik Beasley is under federal investigation for a potential sports betting scandal, prompting a caller to criticize leagues for their involvement with sportsbooks. Hour 3 Boomer was annoyed by a production error during the Sports Minute. Discussions continued on Malik Beasley's gambling accusations and the potential for players to fix prop bets. News updates included Red Panda's unicycle fall and George Springer's dominant performance against the Yankees. A caller suggested betting on WNBA "unders" based on players' menstrual cycles. Finally, a Queens driving school was exposed for illegal licenses, prompting a Google search for NYC's gambling revenue allocation, which largely funds public schools. Hour 4 The Mets and Yankees are struggling as they prepare for their series, with the Mets even lacking a Sunday starter. NBA free agency sees the Knicks' roster seemingly set and LeBron's agent claiming four teams are interested. A man shared his story of leaving his fiancée for an HR colleague. Updates included the Blue Jays beating the Yankees, the Nets introducing draft picks, and Gio predicting a terrible Dolphins season and Mike McDaniel's firing. The "Moment of The Day" featured a Pete Hoffman interview, and the show concluded with a Diamondbacks fan banned for repeated interference and a caller who tries to get six baseballs per game.
The show kicked off discussing recent NBA free agency moves, particularly LeBron James' situation with the Lakers and potential trade to the Knicks, while noting the Knicks are currently without a coach. Jerry's update included "Boomstradamus" predicting Trent Grisham's hamstring injury for the Yankees, who lost to Toronto, with Anthony Volpe addressing his ill-advised throws. The Nets acquired a 2032 draft pick in a trade, and Netflix released a trailer for a Jerry Jones/Cowboys documentary. The hour concluded with Gio recounting losing power in a recent storm, forcing his family and dogs into one bed, and a discussion about sports documentaries spurred by a caller's wish for a Boomer documentary.

Other topics included the importance of the NFL quarterback position, a Yankees loss in Toronto, NBA free agency moves, a Jerry Jones/Cowboys docuseries trailer, and the details behind Daniel Jones' massive deal with the Giants. The hour concluded with a discussion about a girl falling off a Disney cruise, sparking questions about the incident and shark sightings, and a caller's query about who Boomer would save at WFAN. Hour 3 The hour covered a range of sports topics, starting with Arch Manning's offseason quarterback studies and potential coaching changes for the Steelers and Giants involving Daboll and Tomlin, alongside concerns about NIL's impact on college sports. Jerry's update included the Yankees' loss to Toronto despite a Cody Bellinger homer, Trent Grisham's hamstring injury, and Wilyer Abreu's two monumental homers for the Red Sox. NBA free agency moves and Shane Battier's candid reflections on his retirement struggles were also discussed, as was Jessica Pegula's surprising upset at Wimbledon. The segment ended with Russell Wilson's "fake-sounding" birthday message to WFAN and a rapid shift from the MLB All-Star Game to NHL contracts. Hour 4 As NBA free agency begins, the Knicks lack a coach. Boomer notes league-wide animosity towards the team, while Gio suggests fans would embrace LeBron joining the Knicks with Mike Brown coaching. Jerry delivers his last update after Gio's golf dilemma: walk or cart when playing a "big fella"? The Moment of The Day: "Celine Dion drinks the blood of children." The show concluded discussing WFAN's 38th birthday and early sports talk radio like Bob Trumpy on WLW.
On the latest Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn reacts to an unreal trade made by the Denver Nuggets, sending out Michael Porter Jr. and a 2032 first round pick for Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson. He discusses the deal and the flexibility it gives Denver, as well as the surprise signing of Bruce Brown to a one-year minimum contract. The Nuggets don't have to be done either. Given the high payroll and dismal run production, Boomer stressed the need for accountability, while Jerry's update highlighted the Mets' struggles and included sound bites from Mendoza, Lindor, and Frankie Montas, alongside news of the Yankees' victory over the A's. Separately, the Knicks are reportedly considering Dawn Staley as a head coach, a prospect Gio dismissed as unlikely, and Malik Beasley is under federal investigation for unusual betting activity in the 2023-24 season. Hour 2 LeBron James has opted into his Lakers contract, but his agent Rich Paul's statement suggests a desire for a trade, possibly campaigning for Giannis to join the Lakers. This has led to speculation about what the Knicks would offer for LeBron, with one caller even suggesting he become a player/coach. In other news, Aaron Judge hit two homers as the Yankees beat the A's, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. had a home run and a triple. The Mets suffered their most lopsided series defeat in history. As NBA free agency begins, LeBron's future is a hot topic, while callers debated the Mets bringing back Syndergaard and deGrom, and if LeBron would force Bronny on the Knicks if he joined. Hour 3 Following former MLB player Dave Parker's passing this weekend, which coincided with the Mets' series in Pittsburgh, Gio reminisced about classic sports photography and its decline due to the internet, while Boomer claimed to have cried over an Islanders draft pick story, which Gio doubted. Both discussed their weekend family entertainment, with Gio attending a dance recital and Boomer's grandchildren seeing the Wiggles. Jerry's update focused on the Mets' continued losses to the Pirates, prompting Steve Cohen to post about the team's state on X, while the Yankees easily defeated the A's with a Cody Bellinger homer. The segment concluded with a discussion of Tom Brady dancing with Sydney Sweeney at a wedding and Gio's dissatisfaction with a thank you from a makeup artist he helped on Fire Island. Hour 4 Knicks enter free agency without a coach. NHL draft, Rangers & Islanders picks discussed. LI football player receiving D1 offers. Jerry's final update, REM's ‘What's The Frequency, Kenneth?', Dan Rather & Tom Brokaw discussed. Can Knicks get LeBron? Is Jerry a ‘father figure' to drafted Rutgers players? Mets swept in Pittsburgh, Lindor explains. Yankees beat A's, Judge homers twice. MoD: Eddie gives insulin on Poop Cruise. Wing Bowl returns in February.
