The Chicago Bulls' full 2026-27 NBA schedule is here — and the league made one thing clear: Chicago has to earn its way back into the spotlight. On today's Chicago Bulls Central, Haize breaks down the biggest takeaways from the Bulls' newly released schedule, including the start of the Caleb Wilson era, a tough opening month, only three national TV games, major homecomings, revenge games and the stretches that could define the season. The Bulls open the season on the road against the Toronto Raptors on Oct. 21, then return to the United Center for their home opener against AJ Dybantsa and the Washington Wizards on Oct. 24. From there, Chicago's early schedule gives fans a fast look at how ready Caleb Wilson, Matas Buzelis, Josh Giddey, Norman Powell, Nic Claxton and Tiago Splitter really are.Haize also reacts to the Bulls receiving just three national TV games this season, including matchups against the New York Knicks, Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets. Is the NBA justified after Chicago's recent lack of postseason relevance, or is the league missing a chance to showcase one of its most exciting young players in Caleb Wilson?Plus, Haize looks at key dates like Coby White's Charlotte matchups, Ayo Dosunmu's return to Chicago with Minnesota, the Bulls' two four-game road trips, the March six-game homestand, matchups against the new-look Philadelphia 76ers, and battles with Western Conference powers like the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Welcome back to a very special episode of ARTMATTERS: The Podcast for Artists. This BONUS mini episode celebrates Episode #80 of the Pod - and features a very special guest. The youngest one in ARTMATTERS history, in fact. Before we begin, I want to take a moment to say thank you. To everyone who's listened, shared the show, supported on Patreon, and to all the artists and friends who kept telling me to keep going over these past four years. Because projects like this are funny. They don't come with obvious signs that they're working. There's no paycheck. And because it takes so much time, out of my own studio practice and out of the time artists generously give me, there have definitely been moments where I've had to ask myself not whether I believe in it, but whether the value is worth what it costs everyone involved. And whenever I've hit those moments, there have always been people who reminded me that these conversations matter. Thank you.Since we're hitting 80 this week I'll also mention that incorporating video into this project has definitely added to the overhead and time the show requires. So in the spirit of an NPR pledge drive, if you've been here a while and you're in a position to support, becoming a patron or making a one-time donation would mean a lot. I want to keep this show listener supported and ad-free as long as I can so if you'd like to help, that's the best way to do it. My guest today is Leo Ambrosio. Leo is eleven years old, going into the sixth grade, and he recently exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum. It began with a program called the Basquiat Project. The Basquiat Project is an arts education program developed by the Brooklyn Nets in partnership with the New York City Department of Education. It ran in fifty Brooklyn middle and high schools, asking students to make work about bullying, anxiety, and how you move through it. Out of everyone who submitted, about a hundred pieces made it into the show at the Brooklyn Museum.Leo was one of them. For today's episode, Leo and his mom joined me in my Bushwick studio. Leo got his hands dirty and helped me prepare some new paintings, then we sat down with the mics and had this conversation. We talk about Leo's mixed media painting that was selected for the Basquiat Project, about finishing a painting and second guessing yourself, about Frida Kahlo and the Knicks trophy and drawing hands and art camp.  Enjoy the episode! The Basquiat Project Patreon Isaac MannLeo Ambrosio

EPISODE SUMMARY AND KEY TAKEAWAYSTen years in the NBA. Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers, Orlando Magic. Games overseas in Italy, Greece, Turkey. And when it was all over, CJ Watson sat on his couch and asked himself one question: how do I keep giving back? That question became children's books. A foundation. Free basketball camps. A Black history essay contest with laptops and 529 plans as prizes. And now, a conversation with Bart about what it actually means to be a great human being, not just a great athlete.CJ grew up in Las Vegas with Southern hospitality baked into his bones. Yes sir. No ma'am. Look people in the eye. Give them your name and ask for theirs. He never got drafted, went overseas first, and spent every NBA season knowing it could be his last. That perspective shaped everything. He never saw himself as a celebrity. He saw himself as someone who got lucky enough to do the work.Bart and CJ unpack humanality through the lens of sports, autographs, fatherhood, and the moment a kid at a camp says "we love the book." They talk about what it means to be present, why consistency beats talent most of the time, and how a pair of unwashed orange socks from the University of Tennessee became a lesson about preparation over superstition. This one is warm, grounded, and full of the kind of humanity that makes the MPD audience forward episodes to people they love. What You Will Walk Away WithConsistency beats talent. Every time. CJ's fill-in-the-blank answer came fast: most people don't be consistent. Show up on good days and bad days. Do the work when no one is watching. That is what separates the people who make it from the people who almost did.Humanality on the court. When a fan waits hours to meet you, that moment is not about you. It is about them. Look them in the eye. Ask their name. Use it. CJ named all three steps of Humanality without being asked: I see you, be where your feet are, and just ask.Legacy is not what you keep. It is what you give away. CJ gave away his first NBA jersey. He gave away his time, his stories, his books. He started a foundation so that kids growing up in Las Vegas have resources his family had to figure out alone. You cannot take it with you. That is the whole point. The magic was never in the socks. CJ wore the same pair of unwashed orange socks every time he played well in college. But the real lesson from his children's book is the one he figured out later: it was never the socks. It was the preparation, the film study, the discipline, the showing up. The socks just gave him permission to believe in himself.Your parents are your first coaches. CJ's parents talked him out of quitting overseas. They showed up to games in college, flew to NBA cities, and built the foundation underneath him before he ever knew he needed one. His whole message to his own three daughters comes from the same place: look people in the eye, say please, say thank you, and never stop.Great dads make great leaders. The greatest feeling CJ described had nothing to do with the NBA. It was watching his daughter block a volleyball. Legacy is not built on a court. It is built in the stands.Learn more about CJ Watson and his foundation at quietstormfoundation.org and connect with CJ Watson on LinkedIn.Most People Don't. But You DO!

Sometimes the only way to explain an episode is to admit that absolutely nothing should make sense... and yet somehow it all does.In today's daily comedy podcast, Moon returns from Canada with stories about wildfire smoke that looked straight out of an apocalypse, TSA finds industrial-sized Pepto, and the gang debates whether anyone actually watches soccer after the World Cup. Then Lern accidentally becomes a Brooklyn Nets fan after an incredibly scientific spinning-wheel experiment that absolutely cannot be reversed. As if that weren't enough, the crew dives into wildfire chaos, air quality warnings, festival performances without singers, and whether anyone should willingly perform metal vocals while breathing what feels like campfire smoke. Then things take a turn that only The Rizzuto Show could survive.A listener confession about falling in love with a first cousin launches one of the most ridiculous—and surprisingly thoughtful—discussions the crew has ever had. Legal research, state laws, historical examples, terrible advice, and nonstop roasting somehow collide into radio gold.Meanwhile, Tim gets a new Chevy Colorado, truck nuts somehow become part of the conversation (of course they do), and the show once again proves why no topic is ever too weird to become comedy. If you love sarcastic conversations, unexpected tangents, hilarious listener emails, pop culture commentary, celebrity stories, weird news, and friends making each other laugh for nearly three hours straight, this daily comedy podcast delivers exactly that.Whether you've been listening for years or this is your first episode, buckle up. Nobody stays on topic, everybody gets roasted, and somehow you'll probably learn something completely useless along the way.The Rizzuto Show continues to prove why a daily comedy podcast doesn't need a script when you've got a room full of personalities willing to chase every ridiculous rabbit hole imaginable.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast →https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

In Episode 549 of State of the New York Knicks, I break down the Knicks' Summer League opener against the Brooklyn Nets and give my biggest takeaways from the first game. I discuss Pacome Dadiet's aggressive mindset, finishing with 20 points and 7 rebounds while leading the team with 16 shot attempts. Even though his three-point shot wasn't falling, I liked that he consistently attacked the basket, finished efficiently inside the arc, knocked down all four free throws, and never looked overwhelmed. I also dive into Tyler Nickel's impressive 18-point performance, where he knocked down six three-pointers while showing excellent off-ball movement despite inconsistent point guard play. I talk about why I think his defensive effort and willingness to compete on the glass stood out beyond the box score. As always, I give my honest observations, what impressed me, what still needs work, and what Knicks fans should be watching as Summer League continues. On today's episode, Jason discusses the fallout from the blockbuster trade involving former NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, including: why the addition of Giannis won't be enough to elevate the Miami Heat beyond play-in territory in the Eastern Conference, whether the Milwaukee Bucks will regret passing on the Jaylen Brown-led package from the Boston Celtics, and why the trade market for a superstar like Giannis felt so soft to begin with. Hour 1 of The Drive features an in-depth conversation with Minnesota Star Tribune reporter Chris Hine on former Illinois star Ayo Dosunmu and his massive new five-year, $112 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Hine explained how Minnesota's trade of Julius Randle created the salary flexibility needed to retain Dosunmu and why the franchise views him as a long-term core piece alongside Anthony Edwards after his breakout 2025-26 season. The show also examined the latest buzz surrounding Illinois freshman sensation Keaton Wagler ahead of tonight's NBA Draft. With most mock drafts placing Wagler firmly in the lottery, discussion centered on potential landing spots including the Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets, and other teams selecting in the top 10. Wagler's elite shooting, playmaking ability, and rapid rise from overlooked recruit to projected lottery pick have made him one of the most intriguing prospects in this year's class. The hour wrapped up with a preview of the upcoming series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks as St. Louis looks to continue its recent winning stretch and build momentum heading toward the All-Star break. The Cardinals have an opportunity to gain ground in the National League standings before a much tougher portion of their schedule arrives.

Evan and Tiki Barber react as Conor runs through parade jokes, empty watch parties, cheap Finals seats, and the long road ahead for a team still searching for a real breakthrough.
