PackersNews.com writers Tom Silverstein and Ryan Wood join host JR Radcliffe to discuss a remarkable 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings, one that puts the Packers on the doorstep of a playoff berth. All it's going to take is a win over Chicago at Lambeau Field next week ... but the Bears are playing better and the situation is eerily similar to a situation last year that went south. Jordan Love had another brilliant performance. Do we have enough of a sample to view him as Pro Bowl caliber? Jayden Reed, Bo Melton and the receivers found a way to get open all night long against the Vikings, and Joe Barry's defense bounced back in a huge way with a relentless pass rush. Also: Could Aaron Jones be back in 2024? What's the injury situation? Why does this team seem to be in greater sync with Carrington Valentine and Corey Ballentine in the secondary?
Is there a path to victory for the Giants? Was that pass interference by Green Bay's Corey Ballentine last week against the Chiefs? We talk about those things and more on this edition of the 'Valentine's ‘Views' podcast. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
The Green Bay Packers will look to build off their momentum from a win vs. the Rams, as they travel East to face the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend. Jordan Love and company will have to deal with T.J. Watt and a pass rush that can wreck even the best offensive line. Will the Packers lean on Aaron Jones again, or put the ball in the air? On the flip side, this Packers defense could very well have to deal with George Pickens without Jaire Alexander. Have Carrington Valentine and Corey Ballentine shown enough to inspire confidence on the edges? Host Kassidy Hill is joined by reporters Tom Silverstein and Ryan Wood to break down the coming game, debate who should start at safety and discuss the 2017 draft, in which the Packers passed on Watt. Plus, they provide some commentary on the wedding reception songs everyone knows.

Wait til you hear about our NFL ring ceremony concept...Jonah is back in from his Fresh year of college and contributes in a big way. Maria can best be described as mildly bemused and tolerant as the guys propose the following:1) What would you do if you had the Stanley Cup for a day?2) A total reimagining of the NFL Super Bowl ring ceremony. What if NFL Super Bowl rings were turned over every year like the Stanley Cup? 50 yard line, previous winners line up across from new winners and (Benny Hill theme starts playing) each player has to find another one to wear his ring.Would there be Red Carpet event fan overlap for the Super Bowl if there was a week long leadup with players discussing the rings, their potential outfits for the ceremony and who their potential targets might be?If this sounds to you like it might be a terrible idea, maybe you need to ask yourself this question: “If Elvis Grbac, 1994 Michigan Wolverines starting QB, thinks its a great idea...is it possible that maybe I’m the one missing the point?”*If you are an NFL athlete or know an NFL athlete, please explain to us why or how you think this will be successful and who to contact to make it work.*To date, Elvis Grbac is definitely unaware of this idea and may or may not think it’s a good idea. Please visit us at https://thetragedyacademy.com On social media, you can find us at @thetragedyacademypodcast on Instagram, The Tragedy Academy Podcast on Facebook, and @tragedy_academy on Twitter. Joe and Dane open the second hour of the show talking about the NFL and college legacy of Sebastian Janikowski, who is known for not only his strong leg, but his partying ways as well. Joe and Dane find it fascinating that stories are coming out about Dave Gettleman believing that the Giants would not have gotten Daniel Jones at 17, thinking the Giants are in chaos control mode. The guys also talk about how the Giants also have to deal with another one of their draft picks, Corey Ballentine, who was shot over weekend in an incident where his friend and former Washburn U. teammate, Dwane Simmons, was killed. Dane loves the moves made by the Broncos and Chargers, and says the Chargers are in line for a deep run in 2019. The guys look at tonight’s game, saying the Sixers are in trouble of a sweep, and the Blazers-Nuggets series could depend on the rest factor. On today's episode of the DJV podcast with Doug, Victoria and me, Cara, we talk about some good news coming out today, including an announcement that the 5 year old boy who was thrown off the 3rd floor balcony in the Mall of America by a horrible criminal is out of critical condition, awake and expected to make a full recovery. The man who did it is still being held and will hopefully have the book thrown at him. We talk about the amazing success of Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones over the weekend, the popularity of the NFL draft, and the sad story of newly picked Giants rookie Corey Ballentine, who hours after being drafted by the team, was shot at a party along with one of his college teammates. He survived and will hopefully make a full recovery, but his teammate was killed. Wrapping things up, we just can't seem to get away from Jussie Smollett case, where the Chicago prosecutor has now been subpoenaed based on her handling of the crime. The final hour of the program starts with Gabe and Joe talking about Giants draft pick Corey Ballentine was shot outside a party, one where his close friend was killed; Gabe states the horrible weekend for the Giants draft. The guys look at some more NFL playoff future bets, saying that the Packers are not a lock for the NFC North anymore, as the competition has gotten better, and how the Jaguars are still a big question mark. Looking at the Chiefs dealing with the issues surrounding Tyreek Hill, the guys agree that they are not a lock to win the AFC West, and even say the Chargers look like they got better. Chatting with Bob in Vermont about the Islanders falline 2-0 to Carolina, Gabe says the hockey god can be very cruel. FNTSY's Rich Cirminello joins the program to say he actually likes the Giants draft picks, citing his love for Dexter Lawrence and DeAndre Baker, and a not-so-bad outlook for Daniel Jones.
