O nose tackle/defensive tackle fica em Green Bay por mais 3 anos. O valor total do contrato ficou em torno de US$ 64 milhões de dólares, sendo US$ 17.5 milhões dólares garantidos no ato da assinatura. Com isso, o Kenny Clark assinou seu segundo contrato com os Packers, o terceiro se a gente contar o contrato de calouro.  E o Lambeau Leapers sempre foi falado da importância da extensão contratual do Kenny Clark, e o histórico de lesões, o DL se machuca pouco, com um condicionamento físico invejável, além de ser novo, com apenas 28 anos, e ter ótima produção em pressões e sacks, na última temporada foi a sa melhor em número de sacks com 7.5. Jordan Love não treina à espera de um novo acordo com os Packers, mas depois tudo mudou O training camp dos Packers iníciou na última segunda-feira. Contudo, com a falta de um acordo entre Jordan Love e Packers, o quarterback apenas se apresentou e não treinou até aqui. Todavia, Brian Gutekunst disse que as coisas estavam andando bem, mas que ainda se demandaria tempo para se fechar o novo contrato. Além disso, Gutekunst ressaltou que é ruim não ter Jordan Love treinando, já que atrasa a preparação do time para a próxima temporada, mas que ele está fazendo o possível para fechar o novo contrato e assim Love volte a treinar. Sean Clifford e Michael Pratt foram interceptados em vários momentos, por exemplo, só na última quarta-feira, foram cinco interceptações. Além disso, muitos passes incompletos de ambos os QBs, muitos deles sendo desviados. Já Josh Jacobs vem sendo bastante utilizado em jogadas de passe, e no treino de hoje fez uma baita jogada, Emanuel Wilson vem aproveitando bem as oportunidades e fazendo boas jogadas nos treinos. Por outro lado, nesta sexta-feira, o ataque teve alguns brilharecos, com boas jogadas de Luke Musgrave, em outros treinos tivemos Dontayvion Wicks fazendo recepções, uma até debaixo de chuva.  A defesa protagonizou várias jogadas positivas Ao contrário do ataque, a defesa vem dominando em todos os treinos até aqui. Muitas coisas boas aconteceram, a linha defensiva impondo muita pressão na linha ofensiva e chegando com certa facilidade no quarterback, tanto que Rashan Gary teve um treino com 3 sacks, fora que Kingsley Enagbare teve 2 sacks. Além disso, Lukas Van Ness em determinados momentos foi colocado por dentro da linha e teve um bom desempenho nos treinos. Com relação aos inside linebackers, Quay Walker e Isaiah McDuffie foram os titulares, e Eric Wilson com Edgerrin Cooper fizeram a rotação do terceiro inside linebacker. Enfim, McDuffie vem sendo o maior destaque desse grupo, com várias paradas de corridas, algumas penetrando o backfield e chegando no running back forçando perda de jardas. Bomba bomba, Extensão de contrato de Jordan Love é confirmada!!! Enquanto gravação da live, houve o monitoramento da possível renovação de Jordan Love, eis que o assunto era a defesa, e de repente a notícia da extensão de contrato de Jordan Love é anunciada. Ao todo o quarterback dos Packers vai recever US$ 220 milhões por 4 anos com os Packers, sendo US$ 155 milhões garantidos.  A secundária é a parte da defesa que mais se destaca no training camp Pouco depois da notícia da extensão do Jordan Love, a secundária foi o assunto. Eric Stokes se destacou com duas interceptações em um dos treinos. The guys also talk about how the Giants also have to deal with another one of their draft picks, Corey Ballentine, who was shot over weekend in an incident where his friend and former Washburn U. teammate, Dwane Simmons, was killed. Dane loves the moves made by the Broncos and Chargers, and says the Chargers are in line for a deep run in 2019. We talk about the amazing success of Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones over the weekend, the popularity of the NFL draft, and the sad story of newly picked Giants rookie Corey Ballentine, who hours after being drafted by the team, was shot at a party along with one of his college teammates. He survived and will hopefully make a full recovery, but his teammate was killed.
