Charisma Quotient: Build Confidence, Make Connections and Find Love
Have you ever found yourself thinking, “Why do I keep attracting the wrong people?” Or maybe you're out there dating, putting yourself out there, but it just never seems to click or you think there are no good men or women out there left? In Episode 397 of The Charisma Quotient, “Why you keep attracting the wrong people: Uncovering your love blocks with Orna and Matthew Walters” Kimmy welcomes Orna and Matthew Walters, internationally acclaimed dating coaches, co-founders of Creating Love on Purpose, and co-authors of the powerful new book “Getting It Right This Time: Break Free from Your Hidden Blocks to Lasting Love.” With over two decades of experience helping thousands find real and lasting love, Orna and Matthew bring a unique blend of expertise, personal vulnerability, and actionable advice to the table. In this episode, Kimmy, Orna, and Matthew unravel why our brains cling to the familiar—even if it hurts—and how family-of-origin experiences lay down a “love imprint” that shapes our future relationships. You'll learn why even smart, successful singles fall into “job interview” dating or keep a long checklist to protect themselves, and why vulnerability feels so unsafe until you finally break the cycle. Orna and Matthew walk listeners through their three-step system found in their new book. They offer powerful personal stories: Orna's courageous journey as a survivor of domestic abuse and how she learned to trust herself and love again, plus Matthew's honest admission of once being a “toxic bachelor” and his transformation through deep self-work. Together, they share concrete, real-life examples (like the “fig fight” that helped them build healthier conflict resolution), proving lasting love is possible—no matter your past. You'll hear: Why lasting relationships require both chemistry and compatibility. An explanation of ‘love imprints,' the deeply ingrained beliefs about love that shape your emotional patterns and behaviors in relationships Why so many high-achieving, analytical daters struggle to “let go,” flirt, and reveal their true selves. Step-by-step exercises you can use today to start re-wiring your love patterns and building a relationship from a place of wholeness and confidence If you keep attracting the same patterns and want to know about your personal love blocks, book a FREE private call with Kimmy to discuss ways of overcoming your love challenges: https://meetme.so/kimbreakthrough Charisma Quotient Podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and many of your other favorite podcast channels. ************************************************ Kimmy Seltzer is a Confidence Therapist and Authentic Dating Strategist implementing targeted style, emotional and social intelligence to your life. ************************************************ Would you like to connect with Kimmy? John asserts that most of us don't even know what love really is. He explains how love can cause misery instead of pleasure in what he calls “mystified love.” John speaks about the effect our childhood has on our adult relationships. John also leads the audience in a meditation and shares how to achieve the “soulful love” we all deserve. On May 8, 2016, John Bradshaw died of heart failure at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife and two children.

They describe how being a therapist doesn't mean you've got your whole life under control, but it does make you more aware of how you move through the world. Jeff tells us how blowing up on TikTok has affected his relationships, and Sarah tells us how a mango almost made her cry, and they start diving in on online dating stories. AHHHH.... such dear long friends. So good to have them back on the show. I love how they shared the 5 steps of their relationship... you'll want to listen if you're stuck in a loop many of us get stuck in because we don't know how to navigate conflict to the place of stability. We haven't slowed down to discover what our true values are. We haven't learned that THEY ARE OUR MIRROR and how to love ourselves enough to take true ownership of our wounds and with kindness and bravery love ourselves unconditionally. Listen as they talk about 'the fork' and how they communicate with bravery, ownership, compassion and even if they need a time out... how they resolve issues and grow richly closer over time. It was SO GOOD to reconnect... and at the end... they did what I asked so I could be a spiritual voyeur and inspired by their heartfelt love. Love, Allana xox --------------------------------- p.s. Slow sustainable fashion meets yoga in this heart opening episode with our dear Lady Farmer friend, Amanda Agricola. A true renaissance woman, Amanda is the creator of Flowy, a sustainable slow fashion brand providing comfortable, naturally dyed garments for yoga and life, using materials that bring a consciousness to how we cover our bodies. As an artist and entrepreneur, Amanda brings a thoughtful and intentional eye to her products, empowering her customers energetically while also supporting mother earth. A disheartened consumer herself, frustrated by the systemic failures of the apparel industry, Amanda created Flowy out of a desire to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the materials that cover our bodies. Not only does she make her products herself, but Amanda invites participation in the making process through natural dye workshops and by distributing seeds for customers to grow their own dye gardens. She also offers a do-it-yourself dye kit to further encourage awareness of this sustainable process. Working with nature through these hands-on, intuitive methods, Amanda integrates her lifestyle and work with her goal to create a little love and comfort in the world. One of the best parts about being a plant medicine proponent in the present day is that unlike in years past, when there was little research being done on these compounds & most people were “just saying no”, there is substantial research in the present day, coupled with the beginning of changes in legislature that, similar to Cannabis, will be able to assist these compounds in continuing to be researched & destigmatized. This being said, one of my absolute favorite aspects of this change is having the opportunity to speak with doctors who are trained in the western medicine system, yet have interacted with psychedelics & are as open minded as can be when looking at the entire scope of health as a whole. Todays guest on the show is one of my dear friends & favorite people to dive in deep with on topics ranging from plant medicines, to health, the nature of reality & more. He is the owner of Beloved Holistics, at which he practices his holistic approach in the OBGYN field, allowing each of his clients to be empowered with the ability of shared decision making in the treatment of their medical conditions & management of childbirth, is the host of “The Holistic OBGYN” podcast, which I highly recommend & was a recent guest on & is also a CHEK trained professional, adding to his repertoire of the holistic approach to health that sets him apart from the typical western medicine doctors that focus on merely attacking the symptoms, rather than discovering the root cause of the symptoms.Show Notes: (5:55) Dr. Nathan Riley talks about his introduction to psychedelics.(12:40) Dr. Riley talks about his experiences during his fellowship and how psychedelics is now closely connected to his work.(19:27) Ryan shares a funny story about psilocybin!(21:21) Dr. Riley explains some of the problems with the current healthcare system. (38:30) Dr. Riley talks about the benefits of using psychedelics as treatment.(49:18) Ryan gives his viewpoints on the usage of psychedelics.(55:40) Dr. Riley talks about pregnancy and what we need to do to improve the experience.(60:30) Dr. Nathan gives his contact information.(61:55) Dr. Nathan's advice for having the smoothest possible experience on psychedelics. This episode was produced by Mazel Tov Media in Quincy, Massachusetts.
