The entrepreneurial representative from New York, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, on a recent Thursday, responded nonchalantly when confronted by a senior Fox Business journalist regarding the action taken to shut down a city school to make room for people who have entered the country without proper documentation. James Madison High School, located in Brooklyn, had announced that their students would transition to an online learning model on the following Tuesday, aiming to create space for about 2,000 people to find temporary shelter at Floyd Bennett Field. The Fox Business reporter, Hillary Vaughn, put forth this query to Ocasio-Cortez about the city's move. Ocasio-Cortez, a notable representative of the New York City boroughs of Queens and the Bronx, in accordance with the Cook Political Report, offered her insight. She stated, 'The primary objective here is to find an adequate facility for these individuals. I do not foresee this as a sustainable fix. This is not meant to be a permanent resolution.' New York City's Democratic Mayor, Eric Adams, staunchly defended his decision to temporarily interrupt the normal functioning of the school, justifying his decision on the basis of an impending heavy storm. Mayor Adams has recently instituted budget cuts with the goal to manage the substantial increase in migrant arrivals, which surpassed 130,000 in the month of November.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The year 2020 and 2021 was full of “scientific breakthroughs”. We learned that masks and respirators, in contradiction to decades of research, could now miraculously stop a virus less than half a micron. We learned that, with no random control trials whatsoever, that standing 2 meters apart will mitigate the spread of a novel upper respiratory virus. We learned that entering a restaurant offers immunity to all who are seated. We learned that we could create a new vaccine for a new virus in less than one tenth the time it had taken historically and we learned that we could see into the future and know without a shadow of a doubt that it would be completely safe and effective. We learned that this new vaccine didn't offer immunity as previous vaccines did, but it was okay because we can just change the definition of words. We learned that, even though the virus disproportionately effected the elderly and the chronic diseased, that those least likely to get sick and die still needed to get the shot to keep their jobs and go to school. We learned that you couldn't visit an elderly loved one (leaving them to die alone), go to church, throw a birthday party, or see the face of your 4 year old, but if you were protesting the death of a violent criminal addict you were somehow immune to spreading the virus. We learned that heart disease (killing one in four Americans annually) was less of a concern than a virus with less than a 1% fatality rate. We learned, also contradicting historical precedent, that remaining inside, stress eating, and not working out at all was more effective at mitigating this mucosal virus than going for a jog, working out at the gym or eating healthy foods. We learned that historically dubious pharmaceutical companies had changed their ways in order to provide us with salvation and the promise of guaranteed billions had nothing to do with it. We learned that our government cared enough about our liberty to take freedom away from us in order to save us from our own selfishness. And we learned, thanks to Democratic LA Mayor Garcetti that all we had to do from the start was hold our breath to stop the infection and spread of the deadliest virus of our time.

Finally, “The View's” Lindsey Granger asked Elizabeth Warren some simple questions about her push for student loan forgiveness, which she simply evaded. Destruction, devastation,  and disaster all describe the South Carolina Coast on the 23rd of September 1989.  Hurricane Hugo had torn its way through the State of South Carolina, plowing into Sullivan's Island S.C. and drowning McClellenville S.C. , a small shrimping town, under a massive surge of water.  In Georgetown S.C. , Atalaya , a Spanish style castle villa once owned by Anna Hyatt Huntington, was nearly pulled from its foundations by the power of the Oceans undertow. In Pawley's Island, a new inlet had been cut by Hugo's powerful surge. In Garden City S.C., a town built in what looks more life a sand bar than real land, most of the houses were either gone, destroyed or damaged. In this episode we hear the ending of the horrifying night and look over the sea of devastation the storm left behind.  Then we hear the incredible story of South Carolina as its incredible people, under the leadership of its Republican  Governor Carroll Campbell and its Democratic Mayor of Charleston Joe Riley, pick up the pieces and rebuild our State from its worst catastrophic disaster. It is a truly dramatic and extraordinary story of extraordinary resilience from an uncommon people who came together to lift each other out of a disaster. It was  South Carolina's finest hour.  Hurricane Hugo also left the state totally without power. In the final segment of this show, we watch what is arguably the greatest accomplishment of a power utility company in the history of electric power. Santee Cooper, the South Carolina owned public utility, would have to bring back power after its entire power grid was totally destroyed by Hurricane Hugo. It was the State's first and only black start. A black start means the entire system was 100% down, it had no power generation any where in the system. But the heroic people of Santee Cooper did not let that stop them. Their trucks were out before the storm had even left, assessing the damage and figuring out how to get power back to its thousands of customers.  They would do it, with the help of power companies and utilities from around the nation, in just two weeks. An achievement unmatched anywhere in the world even to this day.  We close with the story of Santee Cooper's work  "Bringing Back the Light" to a state that had been left in total darkness.  (We would like to thank Santee Cooper Electric for the use of footage from their documentary "Bringing Back the Light" and all of the journalism outlets in our state for their coverage, WPDE, WIS, WCIS, The State Newspaper, The Sun News, and The Weather Channel, plus a North Carolina Radio station . )

India Walton shocked the political world and upset the establishment by running against and defeating a four-term incumbent Democratic Mayor of Buffalo this past June in the Democratic primary. She's a nurse, a union organizer, a single mother, and she will become the first socialist mayor of a major American city since 1960 if she wins the general election in November. The political establishment in Buffalo is not taking this lightly. So, while she should be coasting to a victory in November because Buffalo is overwhelmingly Democratic, she has a very difficult opponent, backed by Trump people – Byron Brown, the guy she just defeated in the primary. This is such an important race -- all the issues we are facing all over the country -- Covid-19, the police state, the prison industrial complex, economic inequality, climate, and sexual violence -- they all play a role in this race. Biden Looks to Capitalize on Criminality

There is no denying that violent crime rates have increased to historic highs across the nation. The body count in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and St. Louis continue to rise - with 2020 matching or exceeding historic 1970s records.   As a nation, murder is up over 25%. In fact, according to the Washington Post, 2020 was the deadliest year for gun violence, but 2021 is worse. Through the first five months of 2021, gunfire killed more than 8,100 people in the United States, about 54 lives lost per day, according to data from the Gun Violence Archive. That's 14 more deaths per day than the average toll during the same period of the previous six years - 4 of those years under President Trump.  Over the last several months, The Biden Administration has used this statistical data, with far-left radicals within the Justice Department, led by Attorney General Merrick Garland and Biden's pick to lead the ATF, David Chipman, who is marred in Senate debate, with both seeing the disarming of law-abiding Americans as their #1 objective.  Chipman and Garland share a brain when it comes to American gun ownership. For Garland, he looks to use his far-reaching power to survey gun-owning Americans; for Chipman, if the Senate approves his nomination, would use his authority within the ATF to bring the gun industry to its knees.  Some of the moderate Democratic senators who are gun owners and needed to confirm President Biden's pick to run the ATF are still undecided of his true intentions. Republican Senator Susan Collins, who has shown a willingness to support many of Biden's nominations, indicated several weeks ago her intent to vote against Chipman. In a quote, she cited that he is "an outspoken critic of the firearms industry and has made statements that demean law-abiding gun owners." Over the last year, the United States, led by liberal enforcers of the law, have used the coronavirus and make-believe racial tensions as the cause for extreme constitutional violations. We have seen members of the Democratic Party and their minions across all spectrums restrict free speech, the practice of worship, and access to education, all in the name of inclusivity and safety.  According to the National Rifle Association's Institute of Legislative Action, the disorder of the storm's aftermath – and the inability of local law enforcement to contain it – brought into stark realization the importance of the right to keep and bear arms to provide for the defense of oneself, loved ones, and community. Stories of looting and violence abounded. A police chief described post-Katrina New Orleans by stating, "it was like Mogadishu." New Orleans citizens behaved like pirates and savages, burning, destroying, and looting businesses and homes, ravaging the city as most of it sat underwater.  Despite their inability to cope with the resulting mayhem, several days after the storm passed, New Orleans officials ordered the confiscation of lawfully-owned firearms from city residents. In a September 8, 2005 article, the New York Times described the scene, stating, "Local police officers began confiscating weapons from civilians in preparation for a forced evacuation of the last holdouts still living here… Police officers and federal law enforcement agents scoured the city carrying assault rifles. As reported by the Washington Post, New Orleans Superintendent P. Edwin Compass made clear, "No one will be able to be armed," and, "Guns will be taken, only law enforcement will be allowed to have guns." On September 23, Judge Jay Zainey granted a temporary restraining order barring New Orleans and the surrounding communities from further confiscations and required that the seized guns be returned. Some of the returns took months to complete.  And there you have it, a pure illustration of liberal thinking during a crisis - and this occurred with a Republican in the White House. In August 2005, the liberal media was too busy chastising President Bush and FEMA's response to the devastation left by Katrina to cover the illegal confiscation of guns by Democratic Mayor, turned convicted felon, Mayor Ray Nagin.  When is American going to learn? Sixteen years ago, liberal enforcers and lawmakers violated the constitutional rights of Americans all in the name of safety and security - just like they did in 2020 and 2021. Due to the coronavirus, Democrat mayors and governors across the nation trampled on the God-given rights of legal and law-abiding citizens, using fear and intimidation of imprisonment to deter those who defy their unjust actions and orders.  In 2005, you heard the remarks made by New Orleans officials; only law enforcement will have guns - but you see, that's what Biden and members of his administration have up their sleeve. No, it isn't law enforcement of conservative locales they want to be armed, rather vigorous, militarized federal law enforcement agencies that will, under duress and force, demand the following of radical, liberal policies.  In the last 18-months, liberals had attacked and demanded surrender when they attacked our rights to assemble and worship freely. Now, they will use the actions of those who follow them, the anarchist, the criminals, and the thugs, to beef up crime to pad their need for liberal policy initiatives which will look to disarm Americans and forever demand obedience from those who reject liberal socialism.  Philosopher George Santayana is coined by saying, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." For nearly a generation, our country has been invaded by leeches of liberalism, sucking the life and liberty of Americans. And now, under the direct guidance of Biden and those within his administration, they will stop at nothing until you and your family are defenseless and powerless to protest their political and societal power.  The Second Amendment was founded to protect citizens from their government, not the other way around.  Music courtesy of Greg Shields Music. http://www.reverbnation.com/GregShields

Episode Notes Kimberley Guilfoyle is the kind of character who shows up a lot these days, and shows up a lot in American history: demagogue. Her personal history is checkered, as she has been the first lady of California, married to Democratic Mayor of San Francisco Gavin Newsom, and is currently dating Donald Trump Junior. She doesn't have a consistent allegiance, or an agenda, other than to remain in the spotlight for as long as she can. We rebuke ger in Get Thee Behind Me, Felicia. Then, in Pilars of Strength, we discuss Queen Esther. The Book of Esther is a good read, It is short, and full of palace intrigue, and the kind of twists that made Alexander Dumas a popular author; assasination attempts against the King, secret plots, and, like the story of Daniel, a clever attack on the Hebrew People. Like the Book of Daniel, our brave and resourceful Queen is able to use her favor with the King to advantage; changing the nature of one of those unchangeable Persian edicts. It is a good, ten chapter read. God is not referenced directly, not even once. If anything, God is present and the force that directs the destiny of the orphan girl, her cousin Moredecai, and even the mighty Persian empire. On today's show we dissect the moments from yesterday's impeachment hearing Democrats in and out of the media don't want people to hear. Plus, the media drops the ball with another fake news story on immigration, a Democratic mayor gets arrested for allegedly taking a bribe and the New York Times buries his party affiliation, and a university lecturer's union declares it ok and normal for people to identify as another race. Day 1 of week 2 of the impeachment hearings didn't go any better than week 1 for Democrats. Adam Schiff and Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman were both outed as likely being less than truthful, so to speak, when it comes to their claims of not knowing who the so-called whistleblower is. The audio is hilarious and needs to be heard to be believed, which means both men really can't be believed at all. News outlets had themselves a big scoop: the Trump administration was detaining 100,000 illegal alien children. Liberals scrambled to spread the story in an attempt to use it to attack President Trump, only there was one big problem: the numbers were from 2015, when Barack Obama was president. Suddenly, all "news" value in the story was gone and it was retracted. Weird, right? We get into it. The Democratic Mayor of Muncie, Indiana was indicted on charges of bribery Monday, but you'd have to read well down into the New York Times story on the subject to discover which political party he belongs to. It's good to be a Democrat. We have the story. And the University and College Union, representing more than 100,000 university lecturers, has declared that people can identify and transition to other races. This is going over as well as you'd expect, but in a world where men can claim to be women and dominate women's sports, is there really any argument against the next level of insanity?

Mark Fury is a criminal defense attorney and the former mayor of Plainfield, New Jersey, serving for a single term during the latter half of the 1990s. After losing his reelection, Mark left politics for 20 years. The drama and urgency of this election is what brought him back. We met at the November monthly meeting for Our Revolution: South Jersey. Mark voted for Hillary Clinton during the democratic primaries, "because I know her friends" and, "having been the victim of the Democratic Party myself, I didn't think [Bernie Sanders] could win," adding that the "Democratic Party is sometimes hard on newcomers."
