Raoul Wallenberg: Life and Legacy (Lund UP, 2024) examines important events in the life of the Swedish diplomat, but this is not a traditional biography. Starting from Wallenberg's time in Budapest during 1944–1945, the book analyses how Wallenberg went from being a highly sensitive topic in Swedish politics to becoming a personification of humanitarian effort during the Holocaust, as well as a ‘brand' in Swedish foreign politics. Fictional portrayals of Wallenberg are another essential feature. Looking at the many ways in which his life has been represented in monuments, on opera stages, in a television serial, and in a feature film, it becomes apparent that scholarly historical perspectives have not set the agenda for engagement with Wallenberg. Finally, this study raises a vital issue: how can Wallenberg's memory be kept alive as the distance to those events with which he was so powerfully connected recede into the background? The Supreme Court just handed President Trump TWO huge rulings. The high court ruled that the president does have the power to deport illegals from the country. They also ruled that the executive branch does have the power control government spending, overturning dozens of injunctions by liberal judges. Many are skeptical about Trump handling the economy. Many are saying that we need to just trust him, and he'll fix it. A town in Minnesota "will not" prosecute a woman for keying someone's Tesla because they say that the Tesla vandals are "victims," because of being bashed on the internet. A new law in California says that if you commit a crime- that your punishment depends on factors such as who you are and whether or not you're rich or poor, etc.. -Thank you for listening!-
Republicans are working hard to pass legislation to clean up Biden's mess but, this is attempting to be blocked by activist federal judges who are only trying to stop Trump's momentum. Democrats who have no power left, are resorting to violence, buring Tesla's products in protest. President Trump's FBI took down a top MS-13 terrorist this week. It has been discovered that Biden has used an autopen to sign pardons and executive orders throughout his presidentcy, which is not allowed. DOGE is cutting a lot of waste. Democrats are fighting against the measures, the Republicans are doing to reduce federal spending. However, new evidence shows the Left's liberal voters- all were supporting the questionable federal spending in the past, that DOGE is currently reducing. Liberal Left's don't like it now that Trump is removing much of the programs they thought were useful. When a popular leader emerges from the whirlwind of a struggle for justice, power always stands in opposition—ignoring the rising demands where possible, ridiculing and coopting, and eventually fighting with everything in their arsenal. When the popular leader is gone—murdered or passed on—power makes them into a mythical hero while simultaneously working furiously to strip away the radical content that energized and guided the struggle. Joining us this week are Jeanne Theoharis and Erik Wallenberg, one of Pilsen Community Book's worker owners who co-authored a dazzling guide to Chicago's Black Freedom Struggle which appeared in The Chicago Tribune. Jeanne is Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Brooklyn College, and author of the bestselling book The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks, and the new King of the North: Martin Luther King Jr.'s Life of Struggle Outside the South (The New Press).
Democrats are so mad that 'Plan Musk' is exposing government waste and fraud, they are burning everyone's Teslas in protest and harassing everyone who has one. Democratic politicians are holding town halls in Red states trying to get everyone to fight against the Trump Administration. Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz threatened Republicans and said he can kick any one of our butts. U.S. District Court judges who have been appointed by Democratic residents are overstepping their authority and trying to stop President Trump on "everything" that he is doing. The Democrat party is falling apart more and more by the day, but instend of trying to fix it, they are digging sideways. -Thank you for listening!-
After a One month absence, I am back on-the-air, and we have lots to talk about. Congress has passed and Trump has signed a spending bill into law, avoiding a government shutdown, while Democrats wanting to do that, ended up caving in and passing the bill. The Democrats have been hard at work. Lying to the American people and saying that Republicans are cutting benefits. President Trump and Elon Musk have uncovered over $100 Billion in wasteful spending and fraud that has been going on by the Democrats, and Trump is putting a stop to it. The Democrats in their last-ditch effort to stop Trump from fixing our country, liberal judges are over-stepping their authority and trying to issue rulings to stop Trump's agenda for everything. Newsmax has finally found out who is actually runnong the Democrativ party. -Thank you for listening!-
While President Trump is working hard, cleaning up Joe Biden's mess at full-force, Democrats are doing everything they can to push back. Trump imposed tariffs on other countries that did not take effect yet because they caved to us. Democrats are calling for protests and violence to push back on Trump and his agenda. It seems like Democrats take excemption to Republicans fixing everything wrong with this country and draining the swamp, and importing illegals. Republicans in Minnesota are seeking to have House Democrats, recalled for boycotting lesislative session. But it appears that both sides have agreed to a power-sharing agreement. -Thank you for listening!-

With only One more week to go until Donald Trump takes office, Republicans can't wait to get to work. Kamala Harris had to certify the election for Trump. Mike Johnson who was re-elected speaker is already planning on reducing spending but, says that Republicans "will not" cut Social Securitey or Medicare. The New York judge has sentenced Trump to a "unconditional discharge." In his last couple of weeks in office Joe Biden is hard at work to destroy whatever he can to make things more difficult for Trump to clean up. Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat, saved thousands of Hungarian Jews from the Nazis during World War Two.Once Soviet troops reached Budapest, Wallenberg reported to Soviet officials on 17 January 1945. But he was never seen in public again. Rumours of his fate have circled ever since: a Soviet government report said he died of a heart attack in prison, while former officials said he was executed, and prisoners claimed to have seen him decades later. There is still a campaign to uncover what happened to him.Alex Last made this programme in 2015 using archive recordings.Eye-witness accounts brought to life by archive. Witness History is for those fascinated by the past. We take you to the events that have shaped our world through the eyes of the people who were there. For nine minutes every day, we take you back in time and all over the world, to examine wars, coups, scientific discoveries, cultural moments and much more. Recent episodes explore everything from football in Brazil, the history of the ‘Indian Titanic' and the invention of air fryers, to Public Enemy's Fight The Power, subway art and the political crisis in Georgia. We look at the lives of some of the most famous leaders, artists, scientists and personalities in history, including: visionary architect Antoni Gaudi and the design of the Sagrada Familia; Michael Jordan and his bespoke Nike trainers; Princess Diana at the Taj Mahal; and Görel Hanser, manager of legendary Swedish pop band Abba on the influence they've had on the music industry. The 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter passed away at the age of 100. Donald Trump is all set to get started to fix the country, secure the border and deport millions of the illegal immigrants with or without the help of Democrats or local law enforcement. Bill Clinton comes out and admits Democrats give up on certain groups of people based on demographics. Joe Biden must have lost his last marble as he regrets dropping out of the race saying that he had a better chance of beating Donald Trump then Kamala. -Thank you for listening!-
With Joe Biden being in the last month as President, he is hell-bent on seeing how much destruction he can cause before he leaves office. Such as commuting sentences of death-row imates, selling pieces of the border wall, along with other things to make things more difficult for Republicans when they take over. And, good news for Republicans lately- a judge in Minnesota disqualifies a newly elected Democrat lawmaker in the House of Representatives which may give control to Republicans. -Thank you for listening!-

On the program, I started out having an interview with a far-Left Democrat, Mike Mauren, who I worked with in radio a long time ago, who now hosts a Left-wing podcast. I can't use a lot of the audio because he uses a lot of foul language and a lot of F-bombs so, I had to find bits and pieces of the clips to put on the air to use, for this show. Also, he talked away from things I needed tp ask so he could avoid the hard-hitting questions, ---so I had to edit that in as well. -Thank you for listening! Enjoy the 'Live' podcast show!
Legendary game show host Chuck Woolery passes away at the age of 83. Jose Ibarra the illegal immigrant (she killed LaKen Riley) has been convicted and sentenced. As we had a Red Wave last week, Republicans are moving forward with plans to get the country back on our feet. Trump is already making a lot of great cabinet picks. Of course liberals are having their meltdowns in response to the Red Wave. But one thing is for sure, with this new administration Democrats will no longer get a free pass like they are used to getting in the past. Ron DeSantis in Florida has launched an investigation into a FEMA worker who was fired for directing a clean up crew in the after math of the recent hurricane to avoid helping those victums who Trump signs in their yards. -Thank you for listening!-
America has finally gotten the huge much anticipated Red Wave, that we have desperately need and well deserved. Donald Trump won the presidency by a landslide, making him the 2nd President in the U.S. history to serve 2 non-consecutive terms. Republicans have now taken control of the Senate. The results of the House are not all in yet, but Republicans are projected to retain control of the House. Democrats are not happy, but seem to be taken their losses better then I thought. -Thank you for listening!-
This is my last episode cefore election day, and I cover both candidates on the campaign trail. Donald Trump held a huge rally at Madison Square Garden, and it was a success. With only two weeks before the election, the polls are getting tight, and Democrats are nervous. Donald Trump with a campaign stunt worked at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania to mock Kamala Harris. And, we are seeing more and more people are voting Red (Republican) this time as they are voting for a change, as early voting has already started. -Thank you for listening!-
Relief efforts are underway in Florida as they had two hurricanes in the past two weeks. A California man has been arrested for carrying a high-magazine assult riffle outside of a Trump rally in what may have been a 3rd assassination attempt. As we are only three weeks before the election, the polls are very tight and both campaigns are getting nervous. Democrats in New York tried to get a 100 foot Trump sign banned but has failed.
