On July 31, 2023, Angus Cloud – the rising actor whose breakout role as Fezco in HBO's Euphoria captivated audiences with his raw, understated portrayal of a complex and sympathetic character – died of a drug overdose at the age of 25. Cloud's untimely death came just weeks after losing his father, an experience that deeply affected him. Though his career was just beginning, Cloud's distinctive screen presence and genuine authenticity left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry and on all those who came to know him. Actor Angus Cloud, who many know as Fezco from Euphoria, was found dead in his Oakland, CA home on Monday, he was just 25. Cardi B's altercation with a fan and potential battery charge must not be bothering her because she's posted up with her husband, Offset, who finally killed the cheating rumor he started. Plus, it was Christmas in July for Taylor Swift's truck drivers as she just handed them huge bonuses! Hosts: Charlie Cotton & Wyld Young Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On the show today... Angus Cloud, best known for playing Fezco in Euphoria, has died at the age of 25. In a statement, his family said: “The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.” And we were waiting for Hollywood to change its ways following the success of the Barbie movie, but things have gone in the opposite direction. Instead of unique female-led films, we're getting movies about sad Barnie, Uno, and a doll with bladder issues. Plus, Jamie Lynn Spears is back on our screens this week with her new movie Zoey 102. Last year she was vilified for seemingly playing a part in the downfall of her famous sister Britney Spears and for bullying her former castmates. But with a new interview she has given, is it time to rethink Jamie Lynn? THE END BITS Subscribe to Mamamia GET IN TOUCH: Feedback? We're listening. In this episode Levi starts us off with an upgrade so massive - not even the JRE podcast can compete. At the top of the episode, we discuss the idiots who surrendered their dog Fezco because they believed him to be gay. The dog, previously named Fezco, now named Oscar, was adopted by a gay couple in Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday. The name is after Irish poet and playwright Oscar Wilde according to the couple. Then we move on to Levi & Megs taking a day trip to find the SECOND best cheesesteak in Philly for the first time. THEN on top of the wildness, Megs surprises me a birthday weekend VAN LIFE trip, how sick!? Lastly, we touch on the sexuality of Apple's new emojis. PSA: That bit was for MEGS and MEGS only!! To top off the episode, Levi reacts to this insane pastor who believes 6 witches are in his church, RIGHT NOW. Jokes on him, the WAWD POD does their research and we found her, Witch Number 1. Last month HBO's drug-fueled hit Euphoria wrapped up season 2 with a bang. And my living room had a few lively days of discussion following the short season. So instead of doing the review alone this year, I invited my fabulous partner, Dr. Erin Boyce, to join me. We talk about Jules, Rue, Nate & Fezco's violence, drug dealers and the stereotypes surrounding them, plus what we think they got right this season. We hit on tropes of good and bad parents, dialectical tension on screen, and stereotypes & archetypes. We also take a shot at unpacking that last 2-part episode, which (as a Communication scholar) was fascinating on numerous levels. Plato said art imitates life, and Oscar Wilde said life imitates art far more often, so their take on art imitating art imitating life was worth the watch.
In this episode, Ana and Marleyne traverse the psychedelic, drug fueled world of Euphoria. Listen as we discuss the validity of Lexi's play, Rue's spiral, Fezco and Ashtrays end, and so much more. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Ash (@ashleighxorose) and Indi (@fueledbyindi), aka. Maddy & Kat, have spent years waiting to pull out their notes apps and share their analysis on the controversial HBO show. Why is Euphoria so criticised? Does it glamourise drugs? Toxic Relationships? The Hot Girls explore these mainstream points, as well as explore the karmic relationship of Cassie and Maddy, Nate's repressed sexuality journey, why Nate's and Cal stories are important and who they relate to most in the show, including Indi's grief explored through Lexi and Rue. We've all heard that familiar old Hollywood rumor of a normal person getting plucked from relative obscurity and thrust into the spotlight of tinsel town stardom. It's such a cliché that it's even been the subject matter of films like “My Fair Lady” or my own personal favorite, “The Jerk”. But let's be honest – in real life, it doesn't happen all that often. And then there was Angus Cloud. This star of HBO's super-popular television series, “Euphoria”, was working as a waffle-cook at a New York City restaurant when he was literally plucked off the street and thrown into a casting room. Shortly thereafter he'd book the role of Fezco and throughout the airing of the first season he'd become a breakout character. Think you know the connection Angus shared with Zendaya before they ever teamed up as co-stars? Then drop your answers below. Everyone else, keep your eyes peeled to the screen to find out all about the come-up of Angus Cloud on our newest episode of Before They Were Famous!
We discuss spoilers for the season finale of Euphoria and play a round of You AutoComplete Me. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's our reaction to the much anticipated Season 2 finale of HBO's hit show Euphoria! After a 2 year wait since the first season finale, Euphoria debuted a month ago to gangbuster numbers and caught us up on everything going on with Rue, Jules, Fezco, Nate, Cassie, Lexi, Maddie, Kat & the rest of the gang! I have been fully obsessed with euphoria this season and I have been loving the tiktok theories and thoughts and I want to talk about this season in depth because ive been so obsessed!! I really liked this season i think it was hard to watch most of the time but i think sam took the criticism of the glorifying of drugs and really shared the worst parts of it the strong difference between season one and season two literally makes so much sense in terms of high school because things just change so quickly Jacobs clan more specifically Marsha the more think about her she is kind of the devil and my reasoning may be kind of mysognistic but I think she's the worst because it seems like she could sense the tension between cal and Derek and still got pregnant maybe intentionally and shielded cal from an LGBTQ life story she says in her talk with Nate that she noticed a shift in him and disregarded the care of his mental health due to his fathers beliefs she knew that her son was dangerous and violent and instead of stepping in she allowed him to exhibit toxic masculinity and ruin so many young men and womens lives so many issues this season and season one stem from Nate and they could've been prevented if she just did her job as a parent same with cal and he's worse because of what he does to women like Jules and the men seen throughout the series but to me Marsha displays all the behaviors I hate about boy moms and how mothers raise their sons different to the point that their children end up hurting people in the end Okay i think about Alexa demie and her lack of social media presence and how it kind of feel like its propelling her more to be the it girl I also think of like the birkin bag I recently saw smokey glows video of it and its so rare and so special to be able to have one I would treat euphoria like that I wouldn't give teasers or trailers for the next episode and I would make very ominous trailers for the season I would do as little press as possible and have the cast do also very ominous promotion and I would do better at keeping the plot under wraps…. I would try my best to make euphoria feel as hidden as possible to create more commotion and anticipation for the show I think it would also allow us to go online and not see it overpowering timelines and almost overfed to those who dont watch it I honestly am not sure if thats possible “What what!” cal jacobs episode four - cal being a drunk menace “You had sex with jewel?” - fez when cal comes over to try to get the tape of Jules “ Your confused im confused bro”- Fezco episode three same conversation “I'm crazier” Cassie howard episode 4 fighting with Nate there is this funny tweet of that clip put together with Cassie running up the stairs after rue aired out her relationship with Nate to Maddy its great “ I know you've probably been washing that ass” Ali episode six when he comes over to make dinner for the bennets “I don't care I just want to watch my millionaire matchmaker” SUZE episode 6 suze responding to Cassie having a mental break down and “oh she needs a fucking exorcism” This entire season I found myself looking at how much time was remaining for an episode because I constantly found myself feeling like time was being wasted and running out this finale was great in some ways but it was also bad in a lot of others I really hope that with the time in between season 2 and 3 Sam Levinson repairs his alleged issues with the cast and creates a season that garners less negativity I honestly have to say I prefer season one to season two but I think thats the point Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, Barbie Ferreira and more star in Euphoria on HBO. Bobbi is my favorite!!! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/al4s/message

In today's show, we review episodes 1 & 2 of "Euphoria", season 2. Our takes... Sam Levinson needs therapy; everyone needs a grandma as gangsta as Fezco's; Mel suspiciously knows a hell of a lot about how drug deals should go down; Rue is not built for that "pimp" life; everybody on the show needs a bath; we're all just waiting for Maddy to kill Cassie; you know you have a drug problem when Rue is telling you to put that narcotic down; and Zendaya always got the hoes. Euphoria is back with a vengeance. Join us as we talk about this amazingly immersive show.
Happy New Year, y'all! We're starting off 2022 with the season premiere of "Euphoria." In this episode, we're reunited with all of our faves (and foes) from Euphoria High and finally get a deeper look into Fezco's life and upbringing. Rue and Jules reunite for the first time since their train station breakup and we witness, quite possibly, the most stressful bathroom scene since Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho." (We recorded this episode via Zoom, so apologies if sound gets weird in a few spots.) CW: Drug Use, Sexual Situations "Euphoria" airs Sunday nights at 9pm on HBO and HBO Max.

Euphoria made quite the impact when it first hit HBO back in 2019, earning critical acclaim (including an Emmy for Zendaya) and raising the eyebrows of viewers everywhere. The series recently returned after a hiatus of over two years, wasting no time throwing us back into the extremely stressful lives of the students at East Highland High School. In this week's episode of Not Over It, we're recapping all the things we had forgotten about season two, giving our reactions to the season-two premiere, and making predictions for the upcoming episodes (which hopefully include more Lexi and Fezco). That's So Euphoric - 2 Drunk Millennials' Guide to HBO's Euphoria
In a truly explosive season debut, our boy Fezco has made some serious Fezolutions and he intends to keep them at all costs! With a long awaited Ashtray origin story, drug dealing grannies, piss rags, house party shits, NYE smoochin and vodka bottle beatings, this one's really got it all. The episode so nice we recorded it twice!
After a two-year break, Overly Medicated is back as Justin & Marc review Episode 1 of Season 2. Rue & Fezco go on a mission, Cassie makes some bad life decisions, and Quantrel finally debuts? The hosts talk about what's changed in the lives of the characters, who got less screentime, and of course—hand out the first GREEN AWARD of 2022.
HBOs hit series Euphoria is on track for a Blockbuster second season. But amongst the hyperviolent scenes and transphobic terrorism, there is a story about addiction that is both wrong and dangerous. Join me for a critical review of Season 1 and Special Episode 1.
