“Whether you're a Toyota or whether you're a Bentley, you've got to put gasoline in that tank,” says Bri Morrison. It sounds simple, but so many of us, she says, forget to rest and refuel ourselves physically and emotionally. Some of this constant grind is the natural temperament of the entrepreneur. Other times, it's because we are running from feelings we're afraid to confront. She can relate. Five years ago, Bri was burnt out and feeling low. Today, as a multi-millionaire, if and when she does feel negative feelings, Bri knows it's a sign to slow down. To prevent burnout, Bri refuels herself with proper nutrition, mindfulness, and breath work. In this episode of Buff and Paid, Bri discusses the natural traits of an entrepreneur, the importance of balancing the masculine and feminine, and why it's always important to remember to look up while you're moving forward. Quotes • “The truth is, everything we do in our life is for a feeling. We're chasing a feeling,” (3:32-3:36 | Bri) • “If you're like me, you actually get a little bit anxious when you rest and when you're doing nothing.”(3:45-3:50 | Bri) • “So many of us focus on what we need to get done, but we do not prioritize rest, recovery, and flow.” (5:55-6:06 | Bri) • “If you're someone that needs to grind 12-14 hours a day, every single day and can never take a break, you're probably avoiding some deep wounds. You're probably avoiding some deep pain and some deep feelings that you're not feeling.” (9:31-9:46 | Bri) • “Something that will actually give a superpower in the marketplace ladies, is being feminine.”(14:31-14:37 | Bri) Links Free Training On How To Get To $10K+ Months As An Online Coach: www.buffandpaid.com/training Free FB Group With TONS Of Resources For Online Coaches: https://www.facebook.com/groups/buffpaidpodcast Book A Free Strategy Call: www.buffandpaid.com/book Connect On IG & Send a Message: www.instagram.com/brimorrison Learn More About Bri: www.brimorrison.com Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Twenty years ago, Tami Fleming worked as Host Jeff Meyer's office manager. Since then, she's had two daughters, undergone a divorce and joined several organizations to aid the unhoused population of Madison. Inspired to help those that are suffering in a tangible way, Tami started out by giving out cookies on State Street. A passion was ignited, and Tami began volunteering for Friends of the State Street Family Homeless Shelter and Shelter from the Storm, a transitional home for single moms. Tami also developed a business proposal for the Rapid Rehousing program, allowing recently displaced families to find apartments and settle back into their lives. More recently, Tami launched Those Flippin' Flemings, a vintage furniture refurbishing business. It is undeniable that Tami is just getting started as her “Movement of Compassion” grows. On today's episode, Tami and Jeff discuss how you don't need a Ph.D. in social work to impact people's lives. Tami's strength comes from trusting God and developing deep connections with the population she serves. Through listening to the needs of others, Tami has been able to effectively gain the trust of her unhoused peers to propel them forward. Tami also recognizes that no one accomplishes anything alone. By surrounding herself with a team of therapists, opportunity coaches and caseworkers, she has provided the services needed to stabilize (and save) lives. Although there's been insecurity along the way, Tami credits God for making her dreams of helping others a reality. Tune into this week's episode of Move Forward Anyway for an inspiring discussion between Tami and Jeff about listening to God when following your passion. Not everyone has a ten-year plan or everything figured out, but following simple steps and trusting the process can lead to life-changing results.   Quotes • “We get those little winks from God, you know. Like, hey, you're doing what I want you to do. Don't worry about it. I'll take care of what you need.”  (15:12-15:18) • “I think what I've learned - first of all, trust God. Because if you're doing what he wants you to do, he will show up. He will show up, and he will make it work. I came from a place where I thought I had to know everything and do everything by myself, and I couldn't ask for help because that would mean I couldn't do it. And that's not how we're supposed to be - we're supposed to work with our brothers and sisters because none of us can do this alone.” (20:20-20:48) • “You don't have to have a Ph.D. in social work to be able to help someone in a practical way that's experiencing homelessness. You know, you do something practical, and you just listen. You ask them questions about what they're talking about and try to understand where they're coming from and if there's something practical they need, be that person for them.” (31:35-31:52) • “You don't have to be wealthy or perfect or have a Ph.D. to be able to do something really meaningful in the world or in the life of another person.” (57:57-58:07)   Links Friends of the State Street Family Homeless shelter: www.friendsofthestatestreetfamily.org    Shelter from the Storm: https://sftsm.org/    Those Flippin' Flemings: • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Those-Flippin-Flemings-103297058597828/ • Email: tamorafleming@gmail.com   Get in touch with host Jeff Meyer: • www.jeffmeyer.org • Schedule a Discovery Call with Jeff: https://go.oncehub.com/DreamAcceleratorDiscoveryCall   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Are you a leader who's getting ready to publish a book? Are you experiencing feelings of fear or apprehension as you prepare to have your story hit the shelves?   After having her work published in 5 different books in under 12 months, host Kayleigh O'Keefe has faced this fear several times over. As a result, she has gained some powerful insights to help the authors she works with overcome their trepidation and publish their stories with confidence. Her number one suggestion to listeners is to ask yourself: What is the worst that could happen? And after that: How likely is that worst case scenario? By intentionally reflecting on our worst fears, it becomes much easier to rationalize and minimize them.   In this solo episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show, Kayleigh shares her top three tips for moving through the fear of getting published. Tune in to learn more about how celebration, health optimization and intentional reflection can help you successfully navigate the fear of sharing your story.   Quotes • “Becoming a published author seemed super scary. Not just the process of writing and what is it that I want to say, but of course the process of actually getting a  book into the world and then being seen and being heard by others.” (4:54-5:10) • “How likely do you think it is that your worst case scenario is going to come true? For the most part, when I walk through this specific exercise with the executive and entrepreneurs that I work with, we realize that our fears are often way out of proportion to what's most probable in reality.” (12:19-12:38) • “The most important advice that I give to my authors when we publish a multi-author book is to set up celebration in advance.” (14:00-14:08) • “Optimizing your health is so important to stabilize your body, your emotions, your energy, so that on launch day, if it's great, you're amped up and you can amplify that feeling, and if it's not so great, your body's in a good place and has turned off some the typical stress responses.” (18:08-18:28) • “Days before your launch, ask yourself, ‘How have I grown? How have I changed? How has my perspective shifted since writing my chapter?' I believe that we become someone different every time that we write, especially in writing a book, which requires focused thought, focused attention, tapping into our heart, tapping into our connection.”  (22:17-22:45)   Links The Younger Self Letters: https://www.amazon.com/Younger-Self-Letters-Successful-Entrepreneurs/dp/1737322218   Get published with Soul Excellence Publishing: https://soulexcellencepublishing.com/  Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/  Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing     Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Tommy Woodard and Eddie James, aka The Skit Guys, have been passionate about writing and producing skits since they were kids. When Eddie began getting close to God during his high school years, the duo set their sights on writing skits that represented their Christian faith. Since then, Tommy and Eddie have produced multiple viral skits and currently have dreams to further their passion in the realm of movie production.  While the pair has found success through this work, the journey has been anything but easy. The Skit Guys share with host Jeff Meyer that there were many times when their reality was completely at odds with their dreams. Between several missed shows and depleted bank accounts, the two were forced to question whether or not they should step back and focus their attention on their youth ministries. In order to move forward, The Skit Guys had to embrace the challenges they faced and the opportunity to do what they loved. Tommy and Eddie encourage any listeners who may be undergoing similar hurdles to say yes to their dreams and to never stop talking about them with God. Tune into this week's episode of Move Forward Anyway for a conversation with The Skit Guys about chasing your dreams. Learn more about the origins of their business and how their relentless pursuit of a passion paved the way for God to turn their dreams into a reality.   Quotes • “We hit that sweet spot of live events, and the internet grew when it happened. And in our minds, God used that to catapult us to where our ministries have gone.” (12:35-12:45) • “I think the church should be the best at helping people discover their dreams and use their gifts and skills and help them get to a place where they can launch that. And then we can celebrate God's work through people.” (17:15-17:30) • “We've said before, do what you can with what you have, where you are and leave the results up to God. And so, all we knew to do was to keep doing what we could, where we were, and then leave the results up to Him.” (22:55-23:11) • “The dream doesn't always look like we think that dream is going to look like. But our job is to continue to be faithful through those days, and trust that God's going to be the one to bring the dream into fruition.” (51:07- 51:18) • “If dreams are a gift from God, then don't stop talking to Him about them.” (58:45-58:51)   Links Get in touch with The Skit Guys: • Website: https://skitguys.com/ and https://skitguys.com/sgtv • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/skitguys • Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/skitguys/ | https://www.instagram.com/skitguyeddie/ | https://www.instagram.com/skitguyt/ • Book: https://shor.by/smellslikebacon • Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@skitguys?lang=en • Twitter: https://twitter.com/skitguys   Get in touch with host Jeff Meyer: • www.jeffmeyer.org • Schedule a Discovery Call with Jeff: https://go.oncehub.com/DreamAcceleratorDiscoveryCall   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Welcome to the Kayleigh O'Keefe Show!   While the word “authenticity” has been dominating conversations about leadership in just about every industry these days, it is often unclear what authenticity really means. How do we sift through all of the media hype about authentic leadership and move towards embracing our truest selves?   On this week's episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show, Anja Bjerlin, Mindset Coach for Young Women with Big Dreams, will help us answer this very question. Tune in to learn more about: • Anja's definition of authenticity • How to get in tune with your intuition • What happens when we take radical responsibility for our own journeys • And why learning to love yourself is the first step towards leading and living authentically!   Quotes • “My whole younger life I was really depressed, and I did go against myself in a lot of ways. I finally got some help, and I went to therapy for three years where I figured out that I really need to take responsibility for myself and be honest about who I am and what I want to do.” (4:25-4:51) • “I didn't have many role models from the people around me or my parents. I didn't want to have the work or do life like they did it. So when I found these people that lived and were so happy and content and just were themselves, I felt like ok, that's something that I could do and be happy with.” (8:58-9:21) • “[When you're authentic,] you get to connect with people on another level. You get to bring out other people's authenticity because they feel safe with being themselves around you. When people see that you just tell it like it is...it's not about others agreeing but just telling this is what I say, this is what I feel, and people can bring up their feelings and their thoughts, and they don't have to be the same.” (13:22-13:53) • “I have to go through stuff, and we all have to go through stuff, but we can get through it if we just stay committed to love and to taking care of ourselves.” (21:07-21:18) • “It all starts with you and starts with daring to be yourself. I believe if we all could do that we would also be more accepting of others because I believe when we are not nice to others it's because we aren't nice to ourselves. Starting with accepting yourself is the most important thing.” (29:49-30:15)   Links  https://anjabjerlin.com/coaching  https://anjabjerlin.com  https://www.instagram.com/anja.bjerlin/   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCH5P6BOpyLykdHllpLb9TLg    Get published with Soul Excellence Publishing: https://soulexcellencepublishing.com/ Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/  Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing     Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Welcome to the Kayleigh O'Keefe Show!   Have you ever wondered about the differences between goal setting and manifesting? Certified Moonologer and Moon Manifestation Coach Tracey Rampling Brown explains that goal setting often involves a purely masculine-focused energy and completely ignores the more feminine aspects of alignment, intuition and willingness to change. While manifestation certainly incorporates some of the same aspirational aspects of goal setting, it first and foremost requires the belief that we can achieve and are deserving of the goals we set for ourselves.   Tune into this week's episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show to learn more about: • What moonology is and who can most benefit from it • Forgiveness and gratitude, the pillars of manifestation • The difference between a spiritual awakening and spiritual bypassing • The transformational power of shadow work • And why manifestation will help you magnetize your soul tribe!   Quotes • “Moonology is really the study of the moon cycles and how we can manifest and harness our own energetics by using the energies of the moon cycle to uplevel our manifestation.” (3:36-3:53) • “Let's face it – many of us when we start our personal development journeys, we are bootstrapping it until we suddenly realize that we can get help for that. There are people that can make our journey easier because they've already done the things that we're doing.” (20:30-20:46) • “The thing that is really missing from [goal setting] is that the traditional paradigm of goal setting is very masculine energy focused….And that doesn't really allow for the feminine energies of alignment and intuition and evolution and shifting and changing to come in.” (22:20-23:15) • “You can set as many goals as you want, but if you don't believe that you can have them, you will not manifest those things or what will happen is you put out those conflicting messages to the universe.” (23:23-23:38) • “When you're really sitting in those feelings of lack and scarcity and nothing good ever happens to me...you're actually closing yourself off to seeing the good things around you. So when you start really letting that gratitude in and raising your frequency, you are expanding, you're becoming expansive, and so many things then start to click into place.” (29:48-30:32) • “When we are 100% fully and authentically in alignment with exactly who we are, the unique people that we attract to us are our soul tribe because we are resonating on the same frequency as them, and we're attracting them because they accept us fully as we are, and we accept them fully as they are, and there is no expectation of being different than how we turn up.” (56:01-56:28)   Links  Website: www.vibrantcoach.com   Facebook: www.facebook.com/vibrantcoach  Facebook Group: www.facebook.com/groups/empoweredwomenrisetogether  Instagram: www.instagram.com/vibrantcoach  Linkedin: www.linkedin.com/in/tracey-rampling-brown    Book a moon reading and use the code KAYLEIGH for a 10% discount: https://www.vibrantcoach.com/moonology/    Get published with Soul Excellence Publishing: https://soulexcellencepublishing.com/  Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/  Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing     Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“I am a better mom when I get to do something that I am happy doing,” says Lauren Nietubicz, owner of Niet Designs, a custom woodworking company. On this week's episode, Lauren talks with host Jeff Meyer about how she continues to find joy in her work after the devastating loss of her husband, Chris.    Lauren has always been a stay-at-home mom for her children. After Chris passed away, she briefly contemplated getting a “normal” full-time job to support her family, but she quickly realized this shift wouldn't allow her to be the mother she wants to be. Lauren feels the happiest when she is able to be with her kids and share with them what she loves most: woodworking. Having her children experience her joy is an incomparable gift from God, and Lauren has placed her full trust in His plan.     Lauren emphasizes the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive people regardless of what path you choose to pursue. It can be challenging to start something new, especially as an adult, and that's when you need encouragement the most. Whenever Lauren finds herself doubting her abilities or underselling her products, her family is there to boost her confidence and remind her of her value.    Tune into this week's episode of Move Forward Anyway for a conversation with Lauren about allowing yourself to harness your abilities and being proud of who God made you to be!    Quotes • “To have young kids is an easy way to keep moving forward because you can't stop. I can't just give up, I can't not make dinner, or pay the bills, or make sure they have the right clothes for school. We have to keep going.”  (18:17-18:33)  • “I want to have joy in whatever I do for work. I know that's not always practical, and I know it would make more sense for me to take a full-time job that has benefits, pays more, or is consistent. But I think I am a better mom when I get to do something that I am happy doing.” (25:25-25:45)  • “I think it's really important to find pride in the things that you are able to do.” (27:10-27:18)     Links Get in touch with Lauren Nietubicz: • Etsy: www.etsy.com/shop/NietDesigns • Facebook https://www.facebook.com/nietdesigns/   Get in touch with host Jeff Meyer: • www.jeffmeyer.org • Schedule a Discovery Call with Jeff: https://go.oncehub.com/DreamAcceleratorDiscoveryCall   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Welcome to the Kayleigh O'Keefe Show!   “If it feels light, it is right,” says Claire Atyeo, Female Empowerment Coach and Shamanic Practitioner. Claire explains that many of the women she works with have a notable lack of confidence. As a result, they are often overly focused on completing a list of societal “shoulds,” while their own goals and dreams get put on the back burner. Claire tells listeners that the key is putting aside those things that feel like burdensome loads, so you can identify the activities that make you feel light. It is in this buoyant energetic space where we thrive most.   Tune into this week's episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show to learn more about: • The ins and outs of being an empath • The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) • The importance of following your gut instincts • Why the universe provides you with what you need to learn most • And why embracing your divine feminine energy could be the key to unlocking your corporate leadership potential!   Quotes • “It's a gift that I don't think of ‘how' until I'm halfway through it. It has sent me down some no entry roads...but even those have been great learning experiences that I can actually take on and use in the future.” (14:14-14:34) • “I set up the business from the philosophy, ‘Teach what you most need to learn.' And of course, the universe then sent me all of these women that were running great businesses...but they felt like they were failing within their personal lives. And when we got to the nitty gritty of it with EFT, it always came down to confidence. They were confident when they were in their work role, they were confident when they were in their wife role, they were confident when they were in their mother role, but as women in their own right, they didn't know who they were.” (15:12-16:06) • “There's such a divide [in the world], and yet if we can unite and function and work together, bring the beauty of the divine feminine and the beauty of the divine masculine rather than competing, we can achieve and accomplish so much in such a short period of time.” (23:13-23:32) • “The more people become introspective, the more they touch base with themselves, their needs, their wants, their desires and take responsibility for it, the less control you have over somebody.” (30:36-30:52) • “If it feels light, it is right.” (32:44-32:47) • “The intuition within a woman – the Divine Feminine – is so powerful. And with that power you can then assist the Divine Masculine. But, of course, we've been taught to ignore that.” (36:55-37:08)   Links https://claireatyeo.com/  https://www.facebook.com/ClaireAtyeo.Athena  https://www.instagram.com/claireatyeo.athena/  https://www.linkedin.com/in/claireatyeo/  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYmhXY--5CkDDnR3UIn4MRQ  Free Self-Care Coaching Workbook: https://claireatyeo.com/sign-up/    Get published with Soul Excellence Publishing: https://soulexcellencepublishing.com/ Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/  Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing     Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Are you an introverted leader in corporate who is at a crossroads in your career? This has been an especially rewarding experience for us introverts, who can often feel like we're playing catch up in a fast-paced, extroverted world. If you are an introvert yearning for change post-COVID, but you're not quite sure where to start, this week's episode is for you!   Tune into today's episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe show for a sneak peek into Kayleigh's Master Class with Patience Ogunbona about the many types of personalities that can fall beneath the umbrella of introversion. Learn about the “a-ha” moment when Kayleigh learned what type of introvert she was and why appreciation, attunement and authenticity are crucial if you're an introvert looking to achieve that next level of personal growth.   Quotes • “Am I living the life that I'm meant to live or am I living some version that felt acceptable and laudable at the time but no longer holds true to what my heart desires?” (5:20-5:30) • “Take the quiz and then you'll start to get some insight and say, ‘Hm, ok, how does someone like me really thrive? And how do I work with who I am naturally and not against who I am naturally?'” (13:10-13:23) • “Introversion and the power to observe and to pause and reflect: this is a massive super power. And this past year has shown us that the ability to not react constantly, but to pause, to reflect, to respond, to tap into our intuition, to allow our minds the space to explore – this is super powerful.” (15:05-15:30) • “As introverts, we spend a lot of time in our inner world, and if you're an introvert in corporate, you spend a lot of time in the thinking world. It's natural. However, for me, doing breathwork...has been invaluable to dial down the thoughts and amp up the heart frequency.” (17:42-18:02) • “We have to come back to our authentic selves. The Art of Using Other People's Money

#BusinessCredit is all about positioning yourself to get your business funded using other people's money. On this week's #ladyJchat, your host Josette Fleury will discuss the art of using other people's money to your business's advantage. First and foremost, borrowing money using #businesscredit ensures that your private assets are protected. Because business credit uses your business's EIN number, your personal credit will remain unaffected if your business defaults. In addition, once you start establishing business credit and your score begins to rise, you can double your borrowing power. A solid business credit score will allow you to borrow twice as much as your personal credit will, which in turn enables you to get your projects, supplies, and more funded using other people's money! In Josette's professional opinion, there is no reason why business owners shouldn't take advantage of the opportunity to get their business funded. Check out this week's episode of Girl Get Fundable to learn more about how to turn your business credit score into business funds!  Quotes • “You want to be where you can not only obtain certain lines of credit, but also be able to get the types of credit that you can for your company at each stage.” (06:48- 7:00)  • “Understand that when you have the opportunity to use other people's money and structure your business correctly and be able to scale in your business, then you know you are doing something right.” (11:28- 11:41) • “Once you're able to generate that score and you have a great profile, you can borrow twice as much in business credit as you can in personal credit.” (13:53- 14:03)  • “Bosses are credible AND fundable!” (16:10-16:12)  Links https://josettefleury.net https://josettefleury.net/girl-get-fundable-acceleration-course/ https://josettefleury.thrivecart.com/ggf-vip/?coupon=VIP https://josettefleury.net/girl-get-fundable-vip-intensive-application/ https://booknow.securingmygems.com Follow us on social: Instagram: www.instagram.com/josette.iamsecuringmygems Clubhouse: www.clubhouse.com/@ladyfleur To get plugged into our community of Girl Get Fundable across the globe Join Our Girl Get Fundable Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/girlgetfundable Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

After learning about the ins and outs #businesscredit on our last few episodes, you are ready to start the process of getting your business funded! But there's just one problem...where should you start?  On this week's #ladyJchat, host Josette Fleury shares her #1 secret to building business credit, so you can start the journey towards #gettingfundable with confidence. According to Josette, the biggest and most common mistake entrepreneurs make is not structuring their business properly. In order for banks and lenders to give you the funds you need, your business must be structured the correct way.  Making sure that your business is credible and searchable is key to opening a line of credit. Some of the things lenders and bankers will look for are an EIN number, a website address, an email, and a phone number all associated with your business. Tune in to this week's episode of Girl Get Fundable to learn more about Josette's #businesscreditsecrets, so you start leveraging #OPM (other people's money!) to achieve the results you're looking for! Quotes • “If your business is not credible, if your business is not searchable, if your business is not fundable, and if your business entity is not structured correctly, then you need to go back to the drawing board.” (09:03- 09:19)  • “If one thing is out of place it is going to set you back.” (10:53-10:55)  Links josettefleury.net https://josettefleury.net/podcast/ https://josettefleury.net/girl-get-fundable-acceleration-course/ https://securingmygems.com/business-loan/ Follow us on social: Instagram: www.instagram.com/josette.iamsecuringmygems Clubhouse: www.clubhouse.com/@ladyfleur To get plugged into our community of Girl Get Fundable across the globe, join Our Girl Get Fundable Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/girlgetfundable Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Welcome to The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show!   “The meaning of life is growth,” says Nate Novosel, author of the award-winning book The Meaning of Life: A guide to finding your life's purpose. Based on decades' worth of knowledge about how the world works and why, Nate's book presents readers with eight core concepts that they must master in order to derive true meaning from life. Nate explains that his book does not tell readers how to live, but rather provides them with the tools they need to achieve a purposeful and fulfilling existence.    Tune into this week's episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show to learn more about: • Growth, meaning and contrarian insights • Nate's infallible equation for emotional state • How humans have started to hack empathy • And why the art of caring is a crucial step towards finding joy!   Quotes • “There is always going to be something else. That's why growth is the point because growth is forever….Life is a journey not a destination. The reason why they say that is because the point of life is growth and that point never ends. There is no finality to it. You will die, but your children will carry on and so forth.” (15:34-15:50) • “The meaning of life is not to live ethically per se. You should live ethically, but it's not to find the right set of ethics. There isn't this magical set of ethics that if I followed these I'd be the perfect human being.” (21:43-21:55) • “Emotions are not the meaning of life, they are the indicator of growth….Indicators can be hacked. That's why happiness is not the point because...you can do all of these things to hack your emotions, and it has nothing to do with whether you're actually growing and thriving or being harmed.” (30:00-31:03) • “Identify growth opportunities that are significant to you...then identify experiences that can help you grow in those areas….If you already have the desire for it, great go do it. But if you don't, build the desire for things that you like….Build belief that your growth areas are possible to get better at….Use your emotions to give you feedback….Make sure you figure out the best way to do something, the right way to do it….Go get help, also give help….Make good choices every day. Just decide that you're going to continue to grow and improve in those areas.” (51:09-54:36) • “I always found that I couldn't do something well unless I cared. So, even if I was doing the most meaningless task in the world, in order for me to do a good job, I'd have to care. So I learned to increase my caring for things.” (58:04-58:22)   Links https://yourmeaninginlife.com/  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082RHWM63/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0    Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/  Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Micah and Emily Powers are the perfect team. While Micah's curiosity has led him into countless creative ventures throughout the years, Emily keeps his dreams on track and in check. Although COVID brought a tough blow to their family when Micah got furloughed for seven weeks, this time off gave him the opportunity to explore a new passion: leather working. With Emily's help, he turned this hobby into a business and launched The Swift Fox Leather Company, born out of a desire to create quality, customized products that last a lifetime.   When asked what fears and hesitations they have encountered throughout this entrepreneurial journey so far, Emily tells listeners she has always worried that her husband would never settle on a path. However, she explains that the visible change in Micah's demeanor when he is working with leather is an indication that he has found a lifelong passion. On the other hand, Micah explains that he has had to embrace the steep learning curve that accompanies any new project, but with plenty of research, practice and patience, he continues to hone his craft each and every day.   Tune into this week's episode of Move Forward Anyway for a conversation with Micah and Emily Powers about identifying and cultivating your dreams. Learn about Micah's wide array of hobbies (which includes everything from woodworking to board games to mushroom foraging!), the origin story behind Micah and Emily's business name, and why starting small can help you dream even bigger down the road.   Quotes • “Doubting your ability to accomplish something is a dangerous territory to be in because beginning leather working or any sort of hobby or interest or business where you're creating something, there's going to be a steep initial learning curve….Those first couple items for a lot of people do not turn out looking like something you would want to carry every day or show off.” (17:16-17:53) • “I was laid off work for seven weeks in the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020….Quickly over that time, with a lot of free time and space to do things, I was able to put a lot of time in working in this garage and developing that skillset and improving my craft, which was a great opportunity because had I not been forced off of work for seven weeks...I would've probably never taken the time to develop this into what it has become.” (18:58-19:43) • “That's been a great benefit to maintain [our] full-time jobs….In desperation, I don't make the best choices long-term. I see right out in front of me, but not much past that. So being able to be in a more comfortable space regarding our financial situation has allowed us to take more risk I would say as far as investing in this than I would have been comfortable with had I just jumped into it.” (20:55-21:43) • “[My company solves the problem of] goods that break down quickly and custom one-on-one interaction where we can personalize something to your needs….All of the things that I make and sell out of leather I offer a lifetime guarantee on the craftsmanship and the leather….I want that guarantee to never be needed. I want to create those products so that I don't get anything back.” (27:27-28:25) • “My fears all along this time we've been married have been the fear of him not settling into something. And so, it's taken a lot of experimenting for him to settle into something, and I've had to move through that fear of is he just going to keep wandering in the pursuit of what he wants to do?....But I see his fear come out in not wanting to showcase or push his products and the things he can make….Are they going to be good enough for people?” (30:29-31:48)   Links Get in touch with Micah and Emily Powers: • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/swiftfoxleather/ • Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/swiftfoxleather/ • Etsy: https://etsy.me/3ywgnJa   Get in touch with host Jeff Meyer: • www.jeffmeyer.org • Schedule a Discovery Call with Jeff: https://go.oncehub.com/DreamAcceleratorDiscoveryCall   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

When Girl Get Fundable host Josette Fleury first began building her #businesscredit, it was not something that she fully understood. It wasn't until she invested in the proper coaching and guidance that she began to see real results. On this week's #ladyJchat, Josette will give listeners the foundation they need by sharing a 10-step process to building business credit effectively and efficiently.    Josette wants #fempreneurs to understand that business credit cannot be built overnight. Similar to our personal credit, the process takes time and requires you to complete certain financial steps before lenders are willing to provide funds. In fact, before you can even open a line of business credit or obtain a business credit card, you must complete 6 of the 10 steps in Josette's plan, including registering your business, getting an EIN number (a business social security number), and opening a business bank account to name a few.   It is essential that you not only know what business credit is, but that you also have an action plan on how to build your business credit. If you haven't already, listen to last week's episode for the definition of business credit and then check out this week's episode of Girl Get Fundable to get started on building it! You won't want to miss Josette's FREE and easy-to-understand 10-step business credit building plan.    Quotes • “I want you to be able to walk away from today's episode knowing exactly what ten steps you can take and use as a checklist in order to build your business credit fast.” (2:16-2:29) • “You can build business credit non PG, which is non-personal guarantee, and then you can build credit with PG, which would be personal guaranteeing.” (3:45-3:55)  • “Building your business with no personal guarantee separates you from the business, the expenses, the actual entity. Whatever it is you have in your business name would actually be a liability of the business, of the company.”  (4:24- 4:39)  • “Opening a business bank account is crucial. Why? Because when you have this business banking account, you can keep your expenses separate. Personal on the one side, your business on the other.” (7:53-8:10) • “The 3 business bureaus are: Dun & Bradstreet, Experian Business and Equifax Business.” (14:12-14:18)   Links josettefleury.net https://josettefleury.net/podcast/ https://josettefleury.net/girl-get-fundable-acceleration-course/ https://securingmygems.com/business-loan/   Follow us on social: Instagram: www.instagram.com/josette.iamsecuringmygems Clubhouse: www.clubhouse.com/@ladyfleur To get plugged into our community of Girl Get Fundable across the globe Join Our Girl Get Fundable Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/girlgetfundable   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“No action, no traction,” says Arik Johnson, Founder of Aurora WDC. “Time is the only scarce resource. What difference does your insight really make if you don't do anything with it?” Arik Johnson started Aurora WDC at the age of 25. At the time, all he knew was that he wanted to dive deeper into the world of Competitive Intelligence (CI). So, rather than overthinking every step of the process, he simply created a website and started helping other companies achieve the insights they needed to move forward with confidence. Seven years into his entrepreneurial journey, Arik was joined by his brother, Derek Johnson, who is now the CEO of Aurora WDC. At the time, Derek had been working in the world of finance, but was struggling to achieve the mobility he desired. He explains that he was also inspired to make this shift by the memory of his parents, who had passed away when Derek and Arik were relatively young. Derek knew that his parents would have wholeheartedly encouraged him to team up with his brother, and so he did. Now, not only do the brothers run a thriving business, but they are also constantly finding new ways to expand upon their shared goals.  Tune into this week's episode of Move Forward Anyway for a conversation with Arik and Derek Johnson about overcoming your fears and acting upon your dreams. Learn how Arik and Derek turn companies' debilitating weaknesses into their largest strengths, why choosing not to decide still constitutes a choice, and how host Jeff Meyer has helped these brothers learn to play catch again, both in business and in life.    Quotes: • “The competitive intelligence world has always traditionally been driven by...an obsession with competitors and how to get a leg up. And that's wrong, that's a broad misconception…. Competitors are important, but competitors are not your enemies. Competitors make you better, competitors are an opportunity for you to elevate your own expectations of your performance so that you suck less.” (4:23-4:57) • “Losers never figure out what their frailties are, and they end up making very, very predictable mistakes. And it's just that nobody's really reduced to practice and articulate what that system really looks like.” (20:16-20:28) • “God has bigger plans for every one of us! And it's up to us whether we seek out those plans, notice them when they are found, act on them, respond the way God is leading us to and, then when the results happen, celebrate it with those around us….That is the sequence of missionary discipline that is the true north in my life.” (24:45-25:11) • “The thing that I love about our space is that we have the opportunity to really deliver impact if we partner with clients and our liaisons at those client organizations who understand what level of humility they need to bring into the equation in order to be able to take that level of insight and then turn it into action.” (30:50-31:18) • "That is my one prayer: that everybody who hears this podcast will discover what God made them for." For host Josette Fleury, business credit is her company's lifeline. After finding out how #businesscredit works, Josette has been able to get the necessary funds to take her business to the next level. In today's #ladyJchat, Josette defines business credit and shares her personal experiences, so other #fempreneurs can become business credit queens, too!   According to Josette, the first thing to note about #businesscredit is that it is not the same as personal credit. When you apply for business credit, instead of using your personal information, you will instead use your company name, address, phone number and EIN number to get started. While it is possible to set up business credit with a PG (personal guarantee), Josette strongly advises against doing so. She explains that in order to better protect your entrepreneurial ventures, you want to keep your personal assets as separate from your business assets as possible.   Whether you're an already established business, a brand-new company, or even struggling with your own personal credit, it is never too late to start building your own #businesscredit. Don't wait any longer to get the proper funds for your business! Tune into this week's episode of Girl Get Fundable to educate yourself on what business credit is and how it can benefit you.   Quotes • “Not only do I get to separate my personal credit and of course my personal expenses, but I get to actually build another type of credit that really supports, if you will, everything about my business.” (02:53-03:10) • “Business credit is basically getting any form of line of credit in your company's name.” (05:15-05:23) • “If your personal credit is not up to par, guess what you could do? Welcome to The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show!   “A mission statement is worthless if you're not living it,” says Michael Alleruzzo, Professor of Management and Executive Coach. Michael learned early on in his career that people will always work for themselves first and others second. Even though, as a leader, you might want to gain the loyalty of your employees, this is a nearly impossible feat if you're not creating a company culture and vision that you yourself can authentically stand behind.   Tune into this week's episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show to learn more about: • The importance of self-reliance • Why Michael pushes his students to read and actively reflect • How to become more self-aware • Why company culture is the first thing Michael addresses when consulting • And why being honest with yourself is an essential step towards becoming an authentic leader!    Quotes • “There are two critical questions I think that...anyone, whether you want to be a leader or not, has to ask him or herself at all times from a professional standpoint. One is, ‘Do I get to be natural? Am I me? Do I get to be authentic? Do I feel like myself when I'm at work?' And the second one is, ‘Is it working? Am I successful? Is it working for me? Is it working for my stakeholders?'” (4:20-4:48) • “The number one lesson I learned was a painful one: people work for themselves first and everything else second.” (10:26-10:33) • “I think if we trained students to be active and involved and when they have a question to ask the question immediately in first grade at six or seven years old, by the time they got to me, they'd be doing it all the time, but we don't train them to do it. And so I think if we did more of that, the active part of learning vs. the passive part of absorbing would happen. (23:40-24:12) • “People are allowed to disagree. Rational, reasonable, logical people are allowed to disagree. And if you can disagree with someone but you have a rational, reasonable, logical rationale for it, we can learn from each other, we can agree to disagree, we can be ok with it. Just know that.” (28:48-29:05) • “Employees want to be part of the organization's strategy, want to be part of the organization's decision making, they want a voice...they want a vote. And so, they want to hear from their organization's top leadership about where do we stand, and we want to hear you speak out against these atrocities, and we want to know that you're on the right side of this.” (49:40-50:05) • “One of the things I tell students is whatever you do, whether you speak up or not, be prepared for some criticism. If you take a side or not, be prepared for some criticism.” (52:31-52:43)   Links www.michaelalleruzzo.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-alleruzzo-0527251/   Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/ Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

He was drained, stressed, and unable to be his authentically extraverted and present self in his corporate role. He may have had his dream home and his dream car, but he wasn't living his dream life. Chris didn't know much beyond that fact that he needed to get out of his corporate job. So he started surrounding himself with successful entrepreneurs in order to conduct some hands-on research. He tried starting a community bank, buying an engineering company and going into construction development before finally settling on an entrepreneurial venture: The Trusted Toolbox. In fact, Chris actually got the idea to start a handyman service from a friend, who casually noted how much Chris loved to fix things! Tune into this week's episode of Move Forward Anyway to hear more about Chris's entrepreneurial vision and how it continues to evolve. Learn how Chris started his business without even realizing it (his business phone wasn't even hooked up yet!), why you don't need to have all the details ironed out in order to get your business off the ground, and why Chris never makes major decisions on Mondays. You'll even get a sneak preview of Chris's book, FROM THE ZOO TO THE WILD: Your Guide to Entrepreneurial Freedom and Wealth, which you can purchase using the link below! Quotes: • “If you don't do it, you'll never do it, and you'll always wonder if you could have done it.” (4:23-4:27) • “Security is a very intoxicating reality that sometimes keeps us stuck in not living our full life….Fear is a powerful motivator to stay where you are.” (5:05-5:25) • “The fear of me being 60 going, ‘I wish I could have, I wish I did'...drove me more. One of the definitions of success that I started to develop for myself was I didn't need the big house, the country club, the fancy car. I need to know that I could use my whole brain.” (5:52-6:22) • “Corporate America does not reward an entrepreneurial mindset. It does not reward the take-a-chance, the optimism. They always reward pessimism and rearview mirror thinking.” (7:17-7:27) • “I remember at seventeen telling [my dad], ‘I hope one day to have a business like grandma and grandpa. And he looked at me and said, ‘Hopes and wishes are in Disney and in fairy tales. If you want to do something, you better write it down. And I did!....I had that piece of paper up until my last office move!” (9:51-10:19) • “My why, my what was not about, ‘Hey, I'm going to be a trainer and help people's livelihoods.' My what was ‘I gotta fix some stuff, make some money and get going.'” (17:28-17:36) • “Find your way to find your play because that passion is going to really work out.” (38:23-38:29) Links: The Trusted Toolbox 5865 Oakbrook Pkwy, Suite F Norcross, GA 30093 Telephone No. 770-623-3097 Email: chris@thetrustedtoolbox.com https://www.thetrustedtoolbox.com/ Order FROM THE ZOO TO THE WILD: https://www.zoo2wild.com/ Instagram: @chrislalomia and @thetrustedtoolbox LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/chrislalomia www.jeffmeyer.org Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Welcome to the Kayleigh O'Keefe Show!   On this episode, host Kayleigh O'Keefe reflects on the Atlanta spa shootings that occurred this past March. She touches on this event as a gateway into exploring her broader observations about the ways mainstream media can shape our understanding of the world around us, oftentimes in highly subjective ways.   Tune into this week's episode to learn more about the distinction between reacting and responding (and why responding is usually the more productive approach), the complex dynamics behind what stories are told on a national level, and why motive tends to take a backseat in media narratives.   Most importantly, Kayleigh encourages listeners to take a more conscious approach towards analyzing headline news because intention matters, even if the media often suggests otherwise.   Quotes • “It's important for me to be responsive and not reactive. It's something that I'm working on, I think it's for all of us a lifelong journey. But I say responsive because I'm sharing these thoughts now well after the fact. I've had some more time to process, to observe, to notice what's going on. And so, I can come to you today from a place that feels a bit more detached. And not detached as in unemotional, but detached as in a bit more objective and also detached from the outcome of me sharing this perspective or these ideas with you.” (3:23-3:59) • “This is something that really concerns me is the fact that, even if someone says their motive, it's not taken seriously and it's...dismissed and/or it is simply...shown to be an example of what some party wants the motive to be, oftentimes for their own political gain.” (11:50-12:16) • “Millions of different incidents happen in the US – altercations, conflicts, murders, crashes – and the ones that we are shown, we are shown for a reason. We are shown because they fit a specific narrative, and these narratives are largely pre-scripted...by those in power, who, if you're in power, your main desire (spoiler alert!) is not often to ‘serve the people,' it is to maintain a position of power.” (12:47-13:21) • “So what do you believe? Do you believe intent matters? Do you believe your intention matters? Do you believe motive matters? Because I can guarantee you that the vast majority of society that's not thinking super critically about these issues, when they hear Pulse Nightclub, they think ‘homophobic attack;' when they hear Atlanta shooting, they now think ‘Asian attack;' when they hear George Floyd, they now think of police brutality and racism. So what do you think about the importance of intent, and how do you think we should respond to what I feel are still quite local stories at the national level?” (19:09-19:45)   Links Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/ Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“We do business with people, and that's really the foundation of LinkedIn,” says Benita Samuels, self-proclaimed LinkedIn junkie. She goes on to explain that LinkedIn rewards people for participating and being present in the platform's community. While LinkedIn may have originated as a place to put your digital resume, Benita warns listeners that the platform has drastically shifted gears since Microsoft acquired it in 2016. Now, LinkedIn is a place where individuals and businesses should share who they are, what they do, and how they help. In this digital age, LinkedIn provides a new forum for networking...and who wants to actively connect with the person in the corner at a networking event, who never speaks their mind or shares their authentic self? Benita started out her career in corporate brand marketing, increasing the visibility of major brands from San Pellegrino to Nestle to Disney. She got started right as the digital world was starting to explode and has witnessed the evolution of marketing throughout the digital age. After many years in the corporate world, Benita decided to branch out and started her own business, Visibility Solutions Group, where she helps solopreneurs and small business owners boost their digital presence. Benita has also spent 19 years as a working mom and aims to set the foundation for her daughters to become strong, confident women and business people down the road. Tune into this week's episode of The Working Moms for an informative conversation between host Pam Maas and Benita Samuels about how to create an intentional, thoughtful and engaging presence on LinkedIn. If you are a business owner looking to increase your digital visibility, you won't want to miss this opportunity to learn from one of the most knowledgeable LinkedIn gurus out there! Quotes • “People always tell you that time goes by really quickly, and the truth of the matter: it is and it does. And so, where you are setting really wonderful examples for your children being a successful working mom, make sure you take the time to just sit and be with them, play with them….Take the time because you deserve it. Work is wonderful, I love my work, but those moments you can only capture when they're happening, and you've gotta stop to appreciate them.” (0:51-1:48) • “As a small business owner or a solopreneur, you don't have the same financial access to tools and individuals who have a level of experience that could benefit you as a small business owner….The truth of the matter is that everything I have over the years can easily be adapted to any different varying sizes of businesses. And so it just seemed to make sense to me.” (4:35-5:20) • “First and foremost, it doesn't matter if you're a solopreneur or a big business owner. Everybody should be on LinkedIn if you are in business. That is just the foundation because that is where people start.” (7:11-7:24) • “Let's remember that LinkedIn is not your digital resume….Your LinkedIn profile should really be about who you are, what you do, and how you help.” (9:46-10:16) • “Social media gives this illusion that you have a relationship. So, people often say, ‘Oh, Benita, I know you! I see you on LinkedIn all the time.' I may have never met them. But they have this belief system and a trust that they know me because I'm sharing content on LinkedIn.” (16:02-16:22) • “Start every day with a beautiful cup of coffee...and open up your LinkedIn and spend 15 minutes going through your feed and reading what people have to say and commenting and being part of the community. That will just start to help you practice that muscle.” (30:12-30:33) Links https://visibilitysolutionsgroup.com/  https://www.linkedin.com/in/benita-samuels/  Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/theworkingmoms  Pamela Maass on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/pamela-maass/  Law Mother Website: https://www.lawmother.com  Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Since its inception, The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show Podcast has undergone several shifts. What began as a way for host Kayleigh O'Keefe to simply share her reflections and ideas has since become a platform for her to interview guests about their corporate and entrepreneurial journeys.   However, while Kayleigh is incredibly excited about all of the guests she has queued up for the coming months, she has also recognized a need within herself to return to the podcast's roots. Expression is Kayleigh's soul medicine, and without expression, she finds herself falling back into old patterns of behavior that no longer serve her.   Tune into this episode of the Kayleigh O'Keefe Show to learn more in depth about the origins of this podcast and Kayleigh's intentions for the show moving forward! We are all seeking to learn, understand and grow, and this podcast aims to serve and support you on that journey.   Quotes • “If you can believe it, I started the podcast 16 months ago in January of 2020 from the living room closet in my apartment in downtown San Francisco.” (2:28-2:46) • “Excellence, wisdom, truth, joy: these are the guiding virtues, the things I want to call forth in myself, and I view the podcast as a way to do that.”  (4:51-5:10) • “For me, the podcast is simply a form of expression. And maybe in that way, it is tied to the business….Especially when I get to come on here solo and just speak from the heart, maybe what it is modeling is expression. Maybe it is modeling finding your voice. Maybe I am out here, through this podcast, sharing what it's like to observe the world, to observe the inner world, to have that circulate through your emotions and through your thoughts and to come out in the form of a perspective.” (7:10-7:48) • “Expression is my soul medicine. And what that means is that when I do not express, whether it's just a comment in the moment, a deeper opinion or perspective, it is really bad for my soul. It is bad for my soul excellence...but I tend to not notice it right away.” (8:43-9:10) • “One of my superpowers is to observe and respond. I've always been someone who's fairly conscientious, who's aware of their surroundings and sensing, ‘Ok, is this a place where I need to step up and lead, or step up and follow, or step up and serve?'” (14:18-14:36)   Links Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/  Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Welcome to the Kayleigh O'Keefe Show!   You can't be in corporate AND be in alignment...right? According to Mary Gooden, Founder of Yoga Etc. and Divine Destiny Publishing, you absolutely can be! Mary's three key tips for her clients are to: (1) get in tune with their deservability, (2) learn to distinguish between reality and illusion, and (3) invite freedom into their lives. Ultimately, living happily and healthily comes down to inner peace, and once you have found that, you can achieve alignment no matter what career path you have chosen to pursue.    Tune into this week's episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show to learn more about: • The highlights and lowlights of Mary's entrepreneurial journey • The difference between deservability and entitlement • The importance of space and place when it comes to achieving inner clarity • Why alignment is achievable for everyone, no matter where you work or who you are!   Quotes • “The most profound piece of playing both sides or coming into alignment of where I am is attuning to higher self really. The magic in that is still the same three things that I really highlight for clients: getting in tune with my deservability, getting in line with what is reality and what is illusion, and the third, of course, is always the invitation of freedom.” (14:35-15:12) • “The illusion piece is letting go of the limiting beliefs that tell you that you can't like corporate. You can't like corporate and be in alignment...can you? Of course you can! It's an inner peace. I love corporate, and I'm aligned.” (16:36-16:50) • “I'm stepping out into my day aligned with who I am, and it's less likely that things are going to shake me. So it's less likely that I'm going to get to the middle of my day and get up in arms about a couple of meetings that got rescheduled because I took that time for myself in the morning. I connected with who I was. I connected with who I'm supposed to be….Whatever I'm feeling energetically is what's going to show up in front of me.” (17:55-18:37) • “Deservability is a piece where I feel like I can make my own choices and feel like I can take myself into a place of comfort. I feel like I am able and worthy enough to receive because we go through that, too, even when we're climbing the corporate ladder. ‘Maybe I'm not asking for enough, right? Because I don't deserve it.'” (21:00-21:27) • “All your experiences are showing up for you to inspire someone else. And so if it feels dirty or down...just remind yourself: this is going to later be my testimony. This is later my inspiration to somebody that's going to be coming into my life that's going to need to know this or hear it from me or see how I got through it.” (30:34-31:02) • “When you're serving divinely in your mission, and I mean open to receive (deservability), no illusions, freedom in abundance is my birthright, the revenue goal is infinite.” (35:06-35:25) • “Write down the places you desire to go because there's something bigger in you that's asking for this. There's something bigger in you that is asking you to see things, to do things, to adventure and to experience. Your desires are valid, and you can have any of them that you want. Give yourself that.” (48:09-48:38)   Links Website: www.yogaetcboutte.com  Email: yogaetc.boutte@yahoo.com  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mary.s.gooden  Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMIm_7kmeQuVhGD-QcqAyXQ?view_as=subscriber   Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/  Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Meredith Andersen first discovered her passion for real estate after her husband read Flipping Houses for Dummies. At the time, Meredith and her husband were living on a sailboat off the coast of Mexico. They originally returned to the states to flip houses with the ultimate goal of collecting passive income to put towards future sailing adventures. And while Meredith's dream of permanently living at sea never materialized, she nevertheless developed a love for real estate that has stuck with her to this day. After entering the real estate world, Meredith was originally working 24/7. She explains that this wasn't a burden for her, since she truly enjoys what she does. However, once she started building a family, it became harder for her to balance real estate responsibilities with raising her kids. Meredith found a solution in building out her team, which now consists of four agents and a full time administrative assistant. Meredith describes this transition as entering a new season of her life. While she started in a season of full-time work mode, she has since moved to a season of leadership, in which she can help her agents get what they need to thrive AND take care of her two young kids. Meredith's number one tip for working moms is to accept that life is a journey of balancing rather than finding finite balance. Viewing this balancing process as active and ongoing has helped relieve a lot of pressure for Meredith as she navigates the challenges of working motherhood. Meredith not only helps her clients buy and sell properties, but she also capitalizes on the benefits of real estate investment in her own life. When asked why real estate is a good investment for families, Meredith explains that real estate pays you in three ways: (1) equity, (2) passive income, and (3) tax write offs. She urges listeners to find a real estate agent they like, trust, and who knows the area well before entering the market. Tune into this week's episode of The Working Moms Podcast to learn more about Meredith's career in real estate, her recommendations for real estate investors, and her tips for working moms trying to achieve more balance in their lives.  Quotes • “There's a saying that you're not trying to go for a completely balanced life. It's not balanced; you're balancing….You're never going to be to this point where it's done and I'm there. You kind of have that theory in your head sometimes or it's kind of like you're reaching for this unattainable ‘balanced.' So I liked that idea that it's ok...that I'm always balancing the things that I want to see in my life.”  (0:42-1:22) • “I was working basically 24/7….It was because I love it. I love what I do, I want to hustle, and I want to grow and help people. So I found it really challenging because I have all that desire and I have all that drive and when you become a mom, there's a sense of, ‘Do I still get to have those things? Am I still allowed to have that much drive and that much desire because I have these girls that depend on me now?” (10:16-10:45) • “I'm really passionate about helping people figure out what it is they want, realize that they deserve what they want (because a lot of times that's a big hurdle – feeling deserving of everything that you want), and then getting it.” (24:02-24:20) Links https://www.andersenhomegroup.com/  Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/theworkingmoms  Pamela Maass on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/pamela-maass/  Law Mother Website: https://www.lawmother.com  Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“Who are we not to do it, if God has called us and placed it in us?” Partners in life, ministry, and business, Shikina and Chris Bodley felt a calling to use their skills to help their Chicago community. Shikina, a speech-language pathologist, and her husband Chris, a pastor, have spent many years navigating the path of raising godly sons. This experience fostered within them the desire to help other members of their community find a similar sense of holy purpose, which led the couple to found Ephas. While it is still in its infant stages, this program aims to add a measure of faith and grace to anyone in the community who might need it. Shikina and Chris believe that everyone has a calling, and that's not unique to the church. The couple explains that even within the church, members shouldn't be afraid to venture beyond the physical walls of the ministry. After all, if we take Jesus as a model, he accomplished the vast majority of his work outside of the physical church! Although their journey has been grounded in faith, Shikina and Chris have wisdom for individuals from all walks of life, regardless of religion. Their unique perspectives on spirituality, leadership and identity are invaluable to any listener. Tune into this week's episode of Move Forward Anyway for an engaging and powerful conversation between Chris, Shikina, and host Jeff Meyer about holy purpose. Through their personal stories and poignant insights, Shikina and Chris will inspire you to follow your dreams, so you can be present when they are finally realized. Quotes: • “Out of it came Ephas….It means ‘measure' in Greek….In the gospel it talks about a measure of your faith, and so we looked at it from the standpoint of how we could add a measure of faith, a measure of grace. In all those areas, what could we add to be able to incorporate and empower people to live lives that are going to be purposeful and intentional and practical?”  (6:34-7:00) • “I think, too, one of the things initially is getting over...this idea of limiting beliefs, thinking that you have to be an expert in all things in order to be helpful to people versus understanding that God has given you the measure of faith, the ephas, in order to bless other people.” (14:02-14:23) • “We have an old framework as well, so we think it has to be in the church, when very often, when you look at Jesus as a model, he was rarely in the church doing ministry so to speak! So it's important for us to think about the idea...that maybe the vision that God is birthing in you is for you to do outside of the Church, but taking the kingdom with you as you go.” (20:08-20:40) • “I think that you don't just see visions only in the church. You see a preferred future, you see what could be. And I think that all of us can see things that could be, and it just burns inside of us. And I think for us to ignore it, that something will die.” (24:44-25:03) • “Do not dismiss the day of small beginnings. Regardless of where you are, God is there….For me, that has always been encouraging, that even if I was in a proverbial pit, it was important that God said, ‘I'm with you,' and that God can still bring things alive even when you're not at the finish line, but you're in process.” (42:06-42:41) • “You're alive right now for a reason, for a purpose. Do not doubt what God has started in you. Allow him to finish….Don't block your blessings by being a hater on yourself!” (43:44-44:05) Links: ephasconsulting@gmail.com www.jeffmeyer.org Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

We believe that that is an incredible recipe for success and really helps enhance the leadership blueprint of unstoppable women around the world. It really helps them embrace their power to be the very best versions of themselves in work as well as in life.” (4:09-4:51) • “Women join LeadHERship Global to be challenged, to grow, to advance, and also to connect. To connect with other like-minded leaders where they get to be truly vulnerable and really authentic.” (7:20-7:33) • “There is incredible power in this idea of partnership and this idea of partnership that's based on mutual respect formed by extending trust. And it comes from a fundamental awareness of the key relationships in your life. Literally every relationship in your life can be seen as a potential partner rather than just a transaction.” (14:59-15:22) • “There's an old African proverb...which is, ‘If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together.' And that is absolutely true. True partnership is about identifying the shared value that each partner brings and then leveraging the combined strengths of those partners to achieve a level of impact that could never be accomplished independently.” (17:41-18:08) • “Using that area of influence or power that I was given to lift others up and support others has been absolutely probably my most important legacy and the thing that I'm most proud of.” (22:04-22:19) • “Beyond the value that you bring to work, beyond the kind of job that you do, beyond your competence, what really matters is your kindness because that is what changes everything. It changes cultures, it changes relationships, it changes partnerships, it changes the very fabric of the business itself if you operate with an incredible sense of kindness meaning that you're more interested in serving others than being served.” (26:14-26:48) • “No matter what the goal is, no matter what the long-term objective is, no matter how much grit you have, people are going to face setbacks. They're going to face mistakes, missteps, along the way, and that's where grace comes in. And I believe that true grace...is based on lessons that are often learned through experiencing the result of failure.” (37:24-37:47)   Links https://leadhershipglobal.com/ Email: linda@leadhershipglobal.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindafisk/    Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/ Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing Apply to Soul Excellence Publishing's next multi-author leadership book: https://kayleighokeefe.typeform.com/to/BYpLilNc   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

In each of her many roles, it is Bridget's overall mission to disrupt the anxiety-provoking media stories we are so familiar with by sharing global messages of empowerment and hope.   Tune into this week's episode to hear from Bridget about her personal journey to becoming an entrepreneur and how she helps others find their story and their voice. In this conversation about polarities, success stories, and community, Bridget and host Kayleigh O'Keefe explore what it means to authentically amplify your message to the world.   Quotes • “You at a young age knew what you didn't like so that you could understand: this is what I do like. And I think not enough people allow themselves to explore that, and that's why we have people who don't know themselves in adulthood.” (8:47-8:58) • “I've never lived in a time where I was a little afraid to share my truest opinion. And what I think is important for us to remember is your story and your voice matters, but this is not a time to degrade someone else's opinion, this is not a time to put someone else down.” (15:01-15:18) • “Society doesn't feel balanced. It doesn't have the component of uniqueness amongst everyone, which has made businesses, organizations, communities thrive.” (17:54-18:07) • “We have these puzzle pieces and these breadcrumbs that we experience, and it's only in reverse when it all makes sense.” (23:21-23:29) • “We need empowering stories of phoenix rising from the ashes, of shifting out of victimhood, of personal responsibility, of reminding us that we are powerful because a lot of organizations who have money incentive profit off of you not being powerful.” (29:44-30:02)   Links www.bridgetaileen.com www.instagram.com/blissfulbridget   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJRo62svMLnAo-hVauIiNnA  www.facebook.com/groups/rockthemiconline  https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-gathering-mvmt/id1546684870   Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/ Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing Apply to Soul Excellence Publishing's next multi-author leadership book: https://kayleighokeefe.typeform.com/to/BYpLilNc   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“Do I have time for a dream?” asks Elizabeth Polzin, wife, mother, and full-time staff member at Concordia University Wisconsin. Elizabeth met Jeff via the Dream Accelerator, after she realized a hole in the children's literature market: there was very little about the Lutheran idea of vocation. Ironically, Elizabeth's passion for vocation brought her into a new role as an aspiring children's author.  For Elizabeth, the process of following her dream involved a lot of fear. Beyond the perils of imposter syndrome, she struggled to find time and energy to make her dream happen as a working mother. But the support of her community, and the power of speaking her dream into existence helped Elizabeth overcome that fear - and today she has a working draft of her very first children's book.  This week on the Move Forward Anyway podcast, we are talking about the power of dreams, community, and what it means to pursue something you never imagined.   Quotes: “The world needs your dream. And it begins with the next step. There is no timeline except the one you are putting on yourself.” (28:42-28:54) “My dream does not only have significance to me. Chances are, if you are dreaming it, it is very likely that your dream has significance to someone else.” (29:10-29:20) Links: Email: elizabeth.polzin@gmail.com LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/elizabethpolzin   www.jeffmeyer.org Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Welcome to The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show!   Today we are joined by Michelle Aspinwall, Age Alchemist and Integrative Biohacker. So what does an Age Alchemist and Integrative Biohacker do? Michelle explains that as an Age Alchemist, she works with women around how to enjoy the aging process and truly embrace the needs of their bodies as they grow older. As an Integrative Biohacker, Michelle combines the innovations of Western science with the tools of Eastern medicine to help women live more fulfilling and vibrant lives.   Tune into this week's episode for a conversation about enjoying the aging process and living your most vibrant life. Learn about the benefits of intermittent fasting, the health risks of birth control pills, and why medical diagnoses often leave much to be desired. Discover how you can age timelessly by purposefully listening to what your body is trying to tell you.   Quotes • “When I say age alchemist, what I really do is I work with women around aging and hormones and how to really number one: enjoy the aging process, number two: really understand what the female body...and the female hormonal system does, particularly between the ages of 38 and 52. It's a massively expansive time for women, even though sometimes it's like the decade that feels like it lasts a lifetime for a lot of women.” (4:22-4:52) • “The aging process, which most women are trying to defy or turn back or flip the switch...all that terminology kind of implies to us that we have to stay young, look younger than our years. And I actually completely disagree with that.” (5:07-5:24) • “I aspire to calibrate to that energy – the energy of not feeling like I have to live in another time and space to actually fit into my life or to fit into the world.” (5:44-5:58) • “When I say integrative biohacker, I basically combine both worlds: the world of cutting-edge Western science that women have available to them that the don't necessarily understand or know how to use and then the means of using herbs, using really targeted breath work, really specific lifestyle hacks that move the needle tremendously if one commits to them in frequency.” (12:17-12:46) • “When a woman learns how to lead herself through both the good and the bad, that's true mastery, right? Like that's radical responsibility and hormone mastery.” (18:29-18:39) • “I know that souls line up for the human experience. It's an exciting journey to jump into the body and have this experience where we get to touch things, and we get to feel pleasure, and we get to watch children grow up, and we get to experience hair and skin and warmth and cold, like the physical things of being human.” (44:58-45:20)   Links www.michelleaspinwall.com Instagram: @michellepaspinwall https://www.facebook.com/groups/midlifeperimenopause   Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/ Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Welcome to The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show!   Virginia Schmidt experienced a rebirth smack dab in the middle of COVID. When the pandemic hit in full force, Virginia was in Guatemala learning Spanish and had been living with her host family for all of three weeks. Although all of the other students at her program decided to return home when borders began to close, Virginia followed her heart and stayed put.   Tune into this week's episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show to learn more about: • The complexities of codependency • The difference between writing with passion and writing from the heart • The intellectual/imaginative brain vs. the rhythmic brain • What it means to live a truly authentic life!   Quotes • “It was actually one day when I was meditating that I had this, just out nowhere….out of the dark, out of the silence, just the phrase, ‘Youtube videos.'” (14:03-14:19) • “Imperfect action is better than perfect inaction.” (18:44-18:49) • “[The codependency class] was sort of the beginning of that opening of awareness where I realized that, again, even though I had this sort of sheen of like, ‘I get my self-love from myself, I believe in myself, I'm so independent,' that in fact, I really was really codependent on getting my validation from others in my life.” (28:32-28:58) • “This kind of alone time that I spent [in Guatemala], it was like suddenly I was able to pick myself up from my own life, and when I looked over the landscape of it, I was like, ‘I have been really codependent.'” (30:25-30:39) • “Well, what do you actually want? Like who are you? Like we get it Virginia, that you can go adapt to and be good at any situation that you get put into, like that's awesome. What would happen, though, if you were good at a situation that you created for yourself instead of one where you make sure that whoever it is you've attached yourself to is gonna feel comfortable with you?” (34:55-35:20) • “The takeaway is to become the subject of our own heart's desire. And that's the difference between...writing something that I think other people are going to like versus digging deep down and seeing like, ‘What is it that my heart actually has to say?'” (40:35-40:56) • “There are times when we need to use...the computer that is our brain, but honestly most of the time we can be in more of a rhythmic state that I think connects us to whatever pulse or rhythm or heartbeat is behind this whole life experience thing.” (53:42-54:07)   Links https://www.divinityranch.com/ Instagram: @beinvirginia, @divinityranch https://youtube.com/channel/UCebyYJCeaZGadHF2XzStFHw   Visit Kayleigh's website: https://kayleighokeefe.com/ Schedule an Author Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/kayleigh-okeefe/solo-book-writing-publishing   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“In the worst of humanity, you see the best of humanity,” explains Chris Kocher, Executive Director of COVID Survivors for Change. Before the pandemic began, Chris was working as the Director of the Everytown Survivor Network, organizing trainings and support groups that empowered survivors of gun violence to share their stories and promote meaningful change. After COVID hit in full force last spring, Chris saw several natural connections emerge between gun violence survivors and those impacted by the pandemic. Most notably, he observed that, due to social distancing measures, the vast majority of individuals who have lost loved ones to COVID have not been afforded the support systems and closure that most people expect after someone passes. As a result, Chris decided to create COVID Survivors for Change, a nationwide community of people who have been directly impacted by the current pandemic. ~ Ian Horowitz is one of these individuals. His father passed away from COVID at a VA nursing home in Pennsylvania that was alarmingly negligent towards its residents. Between the months of April 2020 and May 2020, 66 residents died in the facility. After speaking with countless staff members from the home, Ian learned that management was blatantly disregarding CDC guidelines, refusing to provide PPE to its residents or workers, not allowing residents to leave the facility when they needed medical attention, and sweeping COVID-related deaths under the rug. Ian not only spoke up himself, but also encouraged the staff members he was in contact with to speak up. Ian explains that after months of contacting government officials about the issue, several higher ups at the home were either fired, demoted, or reassigned. While these results were rewarding, Ian and his family have yet to hold a funeral for his father. ~ Join us for this poignant and eye-opening episode of The Kayleigh O'Keefe Show to learn more about the work Chris and Ian have been doing to support individuals and families impacted by the pandemic. On our first ever dual-interview episode, host Kayleigh O'Keefe explores just how much can change in a matter of months when a crisis arises. Although the world has witnessed plenty of disheartening events in the past year, Chris and Ian's work shows that good can still prevail when people come together to share their support and their stories. Quotes• “I've always been outspoken. I've always stood for fighting for different rights...I've always learned at an early age, you speak out. If you want change in this country, you must speak out. And I started encouraging others to just not be quiet.” (11:22-11:40) • “They weren't handing out PPE, they weren't giving facemasks. And eventually, on April 24, my dad called me and said, ‘A bunch of people in Hazmat suits just came into the room to remove Ed.' And at that point, he was pretty much turning blue….I remember talking to the ER doctor the night my dad actually went into the hospital. He had said to me, ‘I remember Ed Bush, and I was shocked at the condition that he came in here.' And this is something that you would never think a doctor is really supposed to say, but they were so traumatized by what was going on, that this facility most of the time was not allowing residents to leave and go to a hospital. And in the month of April, 49 residents died.” (16:12-7:13) • “You spend your whole life thinking that when you lose someone it's going to look a certain way, and you're going to have certain supports….I had just gone through it with my father, but I had been able to say goodbye. It happened pretty suddenly, but it wasn't on that same timeline that so many people lost loved ones with COVID. So there were a whole bunch of things that I was able to count on – being with family and friends and hugging people – all these things that I was able to count on in my loss that suddenly millions of Americans were not able to have access to.” (23:30-24:03) • “My frustration is...a lot of our legislative officials in different states are trying to find past laws to grant immunity to these nursing homes and these VAs. And they grant immunity for management from being held accountable and being prosecuted. Where's the advocating for the elderly? Where's the advocating for the veterans?” (37:45-38:11) • “That to me is not just an unprecedented virus causing all of these things to happen. That's just total mismanagement, that's negligence, and that's breaking the law. It's murder is what this was.”  (40:10-40:25) • “The things that people have done to not just remember their loved one, but to invite others into that space….To do something that started with, ‘I want to remember my loved one,' but then grows into something where you're helping hundreds and hundreds of families have their loved ones remembered is incredibly, incredibly heartbreaking, but heartwarming and also powerful and inspiring.” (45:17-45:40) • “Choosing love means celebrating happiness and also celebrating heartbreak and giving people the space to have both.” (51:08 -51:16) ~Linkshttps://www.linkedin.com/in/ianhorowitz/  www.covidsurvivorsforchange.org Twitter: @survivorschange, @chrisjkocher Check out Kayleigh's leadership books: https://kayleighokeefe.com/leadership-books/  Join The Significant Leader Summit May 11 - May 15: https://kayleighokeefe.com/significantleaderssummit/  Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“I wrote my first novel by accident,” says Evan Law, immigration attorney and novel writer. After failing the Bar Exam three times, Evan began writing a novel that he felt encapsulated many of the fundamental legal principles that the Bar aims to test. Evan then took the Bar Exam for a fourth time and found that he was far more prepared for this new attempt than the others, primarily due to his writing. Evan's ultimate success after several failures inspired him to help others avoid the feelings of stress and emotional defeat he had experienced throughout the test-taking process. He has now written and published two novels, which contain over 130 principles of law between them, core ideas that every aspiring lawyer should know. While Evan first started writing his stories as a side project, mainly aimed at helping himself, he now sees a broader purpose in these books. In fact, the books are currently being turned into movies, which Evan hopes to incorporate into a larger course for law students called Lawflix. Tune into this week's episode of Move Forward Anyway to learn more about how Evan transformed his Bar Exam failures into an unexpected career path. This conversation about unforeseen opportunities, overcoming fear, and taking chances to pursue your dreams is sure to inspire you to create meaningful change in your own life. Quotes: “Life is kind of like that. You have these lenses that you're looking through or this perspective you have that sometimes when you hear someone else's story it helps you say, ‘Oh wow, I can get through this.'”  (3:55-4:08) “I think there's something with having dreams and then also being associated with people that say, ‘I understand, and I love that you have that dream. Now here's the next step that you need to do in reality to make that happen.'” (5:40-5:53) “There are opportunities in front of you...that are never going to emerge or happen if you don't take the next step.” (7:53-8:05) “I failed [the Bar Exam] three times, and I finally passed on the fourth time after I started writing these novels. And actually that day when I took the exam, I actually enjoyed being there because I had prepped myself with what I had written. I just felt like I was much more in ownership of the situation (10:50-11:15). “It took me several years to recover from...the stigma that I put on myself for failing the Bar Exam. And then to have met other people who failed the Bar, it's like I just have this drive to help people avoid what I went through.” (11:38-11:55) “I have those inhibitions, but I can't let that hold me back.” (22:50-22:52) “Take a chance…You want to make sure your relationships are intact, you want to make sure you don't do anything illegal, but beyond that take the chance and learn from it because it could open up the door of the next thing that will ignite a passion within you. And it might just be that you're inspiring someone else while they are finding their way. But it's just too risky to leave it untouched” (24:45-25:19) “Look at all the dreams you have. Write them all out. And then ask yourself, ‘What are the next steps I can take on any number of these….What are some of these that I can chip away at, just for my own enjoyment, for my own drive and passion?' And then look at what happens. The people that are placed around you that will provide you encouragement. Or fill in the gaps for what you don't have to get there, and then just move forward with it.” (32:48-34:12)   Links: Evan's Author page: https://www.amazon.com/~/e/B079QZZ9T2  www.lawflix.us  https://www.gayheartandwillis.com/about    www.jeffmeyer.org   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

Chemist turned sales coach, Wesleyne Greer has a clear idea of what contributed to her sales success: people, process, and profit... and in that order. Wesleyne explains that her work in a lab just wasn't getting her the face-to-face interaction she craved. She turned to sales as a profession because it fulfilled her constant curiosity and played to her listening skills and problem-solving strengths. Once she entered a sales role, Wesleyne quickly realized that this profession was the job she had always dreamed of. Wesleyne's passion and drive resulted in a rapid ascent from individual contributor to international sales manager. However, when she reached this new stage on the sales ladder, she was surprised by a striking deficit in available resources. While she had received plenty of guidance in her entry role, there just weren't the same support systems in place at the managerial level. This experience inspired Weslyne to start her own business that focuses on helping sales managers transform into empowered leaders, who can effectively guide their teams to consistent success. Tune into this week's episode of Sales Lead Dog to learn more about Wesleyne's perspective on how sales managers can establish a balance between authority and individualized support for each and every team member. How should a sales manager approach top performers? How do you balance pressure from your boss with adding lasting value to your sales team? What integral role does your CRM play in your team's success? Wesleyne and host Chris Smith will explore these questions in-depth during this week's episode, “The Three P's: People, Process, and Profit.” Quotes: “It's all about the three P's: People, Process and Profit. In that order.”  “I say it's all about the three P's and its people, process and profit. And I put profit at the end, and people at the beginning because essentially without the right people in place, you're not going to be profitable and building a process without having the right people in place, you won't ensure that you have profit.” (4:48-5:12) “I tell people that when I got into sales, I finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up.” (6:31-6:37) “I always always tell sales managers and sales leaders it's about solid sales skills….You can teach them your products, your services, you can teach them the technology. But what you can't teach somebody is really solid sales skills.” (9:49-10:06) “You build your sales process not based on what the corporate office wants it to be or what your boss wants it to be. You make your sales process off of what's working in the field. And the way you figure out what's working in the field is you talk to the top performers.” (15:48-16:03) “When I ask a sales leader, ‘Who is your salesperson or who are your top salespeople?', they always give me the one who's hitting quota. But to me, it's more about consistency. Sometimes people can have a really great year, and then they can be duds for the next two years. So a definition of success is consistency.” (20:50-21:14) “You have to do a postmortem because it's ok to lose a deal, but it's not ok to lose a deal the same way twice.” (28:10-28:18) Links Website: https://www.transformedsales.com/  Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/wesleynegreer/  Linkedin Business: https://www.linkedin.com/company/transformedsales    Empellor CRM Website chris.smith@empellorcrm.com Empellor CRM LinkedIn   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“Failure is important. The reality is that a winner has to be somebody who is willing to fail. That's all it comes down to….You can't win without being at risk of failure.” explains Rich Van Doorn, Chief Revenue Officer & President at AVASO Technology Solutions. As a manager for multiple sales reps, Rich explains that it is always difficult to watch his people fail. However, while ignorance (or the lack of knowledge about a given topic) is easily remedied, stupidity is a more difficult problem to solve, as this quality suggests a lack of drive and an unwillingness to learn. This outlook on failure as a learning tool aligns well with Rich's personal beliefs about success. Rich explains that the key contributors to his own success were perseverance, mentorship, and personal marketing. It was these traits that ultimately propelled Rich to his current role as CRO at AVASO, a global IT outsourcing provider that serves a total of 190 countries! Rich urges listeners to consider not only how to market for a given product, but also how to market themselves as competent and valuable assets for their companies. Tune into this week's episode of Sales Lead Dog to learn more about Rich's journey from salesperson to sales leader. From the importance of long-term sales relationships to lessons about failure to (of course!) the pros and cons of CRMs, Rich Van Doorn and host Christopher Smith explore what it takes to make the sales process not only efficient, but also human.  Quotes: “A winner has to be somebody who is willing to fail.” (28:12) “Marketing isn't just about who you're working for, it's about finding a way to market yourself. We forget that we're a product, and we always think that what we have to market is something else in front of us, and we've gotta be careful and recognize that we're one of those things.” (6:50-7:10) “A lot of sales folks don't understand who's truly the real decision maker….so who to go after when you're trying to get a referral. We think it's procurement, we think it's finance, but the people who are really making the decisions aren't often who you think they are. And when you find out who it is, you can tune the dial pretty fast and hone in on it, and then the business really starts coming in. And that's where you can really start driving exponential value in your organization.” (15:35-16:10) “One of the things my grandad said is, ‘You got two ears and one mouth, and God gave you them in proportion for a reason.'” (18:30-18:35) “Are you willing to give up a sale for the relationship? And that'll really tell me whether or not you are in it for the customer.” (21:18-21:29) “Failure is important. The reality is that a winner has to be somebody who is willing to fail. On this episode of Sales Lead Dog, host Chris Smith talks with Bob about his forty year career in sales, and what he's learned along the way.  But for Bob, sales wasn't really on the radar. That moment, where he took a leap into sales, has defined his life.  What has Bob learned as he moved from sales to sales leadership and beyond? First and foremost, he highlights the power of listening, and solving problems. If you can really solve their problem, he says, the customer will always find value in your business. He also discovered that sales leadership is about more than just customers. Can a dentist have a fanbase? What about an insurance company? Yes, says David Meerman Scott, marketing & business growth speaker and author of the WSJ bestseller FANOCRACY. In this episode of Sales Lead Dog, host Chris Smith talks to David about his new book, and the idea that really meaningful marketing and selling happens when we turn our customers into our biggest fans.  David has written over twelve books, four of which have been international best-sellers. In FANOCRACY, David explains how growing a fanbase is contrary to many of our widely held beliefs about selling -- it's about being a community builder, not the stereotypical “hunter.” But though it takes a leap of faith, it really works. “We found examples in all kinds of different marketplaces of people who have been able to build fans,” David explains -- from the success of a skateboarding dentist to Duracell's 10-million battery giveaway.  At the end of the day, it's hard to argue with this compelling strategy, which flips selling and marketing on its head. But it's actually pretty simple; as David says: “If you bring passion to what you do, that passion is infectious.”  Quotes: “All humans, you and me and everybody who's watching and listening to this, is hard-wired in our brains to be part of a tribe of like-minded people.” (11:11-11:26) “If you bring passion to what you do, that passion is infectious, and people are more likely to want to do business with you.” (29:33-29:41) Links: https://www.fanocracy.com https://www.davidmeermanscott.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidmeermanscott/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/freshspot-marketing/about/ Empellor CRM Website chris.smith@empellorcrm.com Empellor CRM LinkedIn   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

A sales leader is also an educator according to Chris Palmisano, Founding Chief Operating Officer / Chief Revenue Officer at Rocket Dog, a financial services startup specializing in alternative investments. He talks with host Christopher Smith about the role that learning plays in every element of the sales industry, from hiring to advancement to using CRM.  For Chris Palmisano, a passion for learning is what differentiates a bad sales rep from a good one, and it's also an indicator that someone will be a great sales leader. When he's hiring, he looks for people who have been successful at something, because it shows that they have a hunger for learning, and the follow-through to make it happen. And he also builds learning into his own work, every single day. For example, he always hires two people at once, so if it doesn't work out he can determine whether they don't have the right skill set for the job, or whether he needs to improve as an educator and leader.  Take a close look at sales with a focus on training -- and learn from a top performer in the startup world -- in this episode of Sales Lead Dog! Quotes “Believe it or not, things like ‘what's the forecast look like,' get discussed in the boardroom.” (22:35-22:42) “As sales professionals we can either evolve, or we can die, and there isn't really an in between anymore.” (26:32-26:40) Links:  www.rocketmortgage.com https://www.linkedin.com/company/rocketdollar/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/cmpalmisano/   Empellor CRM Website chris.smith@empellorcrm.com Empellor CRM LinkedIn   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“You always go into a situation to learn,” says Kevin Armstrong, Global Enterprise Strategy Leader at ENAVATE. He talks with host Chris Smith about his passion for sales leadership, and how he cultivates an atmosphere of learning, growing, and striving for success. What are the lessons Kevin tries to impart on his team? You have to want to learn, and you have to go all in to succeed. As he tells Chris, there are two winners in every sale: the one who wins and the first one out.  Tune in to hear more of Kevin's surprising lessons on sales, sales leadership, and how to balance intuitive selling with CRM.  Quotes:  “You always go into a situation to learn” (3:18-3:21) “Ask the person, what is it both personally and professionally that drives you?” (21:49-21:54) Links: https://www.linkedin.com/in/armstrongkevin/ www.enavate.com   Empellor CRM Website chris.smith@empellorcrm.com Empellor CRM LinkedIn   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing

“Feel the fear and do it anyway,” says Michelle Accardi, President & Chief Revenue Officer at Star2Star Communications. Michelle, who has worked in half a dozen different roles in her long career at Star2Star, prides herself on being agile, and says that agility is one of the most valuable skills for aspiring sales professionals and leaders today.  And serving as President and CRO of Star2Star is no small feat. The company has a startling 99.4% customer retention rate, has been featured on the Forbes Most Promising Companies List, and was named on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 five times in the last six years.  What is the secret to Michelle and Star2Star's success? The short answer is empathy. Michelle talks with host Chris Smith about a car accident that changed the course of her life in her late 20s, and made her realize that people have lives and challenges beyond their jobs -- and that being attuned to those challenges can help her make a difference in and outside work. For Michelle, active listening is the foundation of successful sales -- and she wishes that universities took the time to teach subjects like ethical sales to aspiring business professionals.  What advice does Michelle have for those starting out in sales careers? Even if you can't get your foot in the door right away, volunteer to go on sales calls to get a sense of what it's like to work in that role. Cultivate resilience and perseverance, and be willing to say yes - even if something is new and unfamiliar. If you can work through your own fear, you've already won at least half the battle.  Quotes: “Feel the fear and do it anyways.” (5:59-6:02) So much of sales is just active listening (8:46-8:50) “Just being open to things is how I make success happen. I don't say no often, and when I do it's generally: ‘No, but…'” (23:33-23:46) Links:  https://www.star2star.com/ https://www.star2star.com/partners/become-a-star2star-partner https://www.star2star.com/demo   Empellor CRM Website Empellor CRM LinkedIn   Podcast production and show notes provided by FIRESIDE Marketing
