Recap of our wonderful Gay Days weekend!
After 35 years, the future of Disney's Gay Days looks grim. The group that organizes the event announced that shifting hotel agreements and the loss of key sponsors forced it to cancel the celebration in 2026. Organizers still urge gay fans to visit the parks on the usual dates and wear themed attire, but the coordinated celebration appears headed for a quiet end. Whatever happens next, one point matters: Evangelical Christians tried to cancel Gay Days with on-again, off-again boycotts for decades. What finally wounded the LGBTQ leviathan was not conservative activism, but cultural apathy. Peter LaBarbera is founder and president of Center for Morality Americans for Truth. He's a former reporter for the Washington Times, LifeSiteNews.com, WND.com and a former contributing editor for Human Events. It was during the Biden administration that we saw severe pressure placed upon businesses, schools, local governments, the entertainment industry, sports and others to advance the LGBTQ+ agenda. Some of this has to do with the efforts of an activist organization known as the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). This program is highlighted by an audio clip from Tyler O'Neil, the senior editor at the Daily Signal. While he correctly notes that most people who identify as transgender don't pose a threat, he asks what drives the hatred of those who do? He believes the rhetoric of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is at least partly to blame. He noted how the HRC suggests that data on transgender deaths reveals a higher homicide rate than the general population. Tyler uses the HRC's own statistics to prove conclusively that their assertion is false. As this program moves along, you'll hear Peter comment on various news stories such as: The tragic mass shooting in Canada by a person who identified as transgender. What exactly is the HRC and how does their Corporate Equality Index work? The canceling of the 35th annual "Gay Days" in Orlando. Is this a one year pause or a permanent move? A Wyoming library was sued by a library director who was fired for refusing to follow a new book collection policy regarding sexually offensive books. The insurance company decided to pay out rather than fight it.

Near the end, we also get a little nostalgic as we talk about the Disney rides went extinct in 2025.

This week on The Rumor Mill, Joe and Nathan dive into the latest tea from the world of Drag Race and beyond. Patreon & Apple Podcasts Updates: Joe lifts the “embargo” on voicemails and breaks down all the ways you can get exclusive Afterthought Media content, including Slaysian Royale and the return of Dragula. Cultural Misunderstandings: A discussion on Slaysian Royale sparks listener feedback about Filipino humor, translation quirks, and the use of words like “auspicious.” Joe and Nathan unpack the comments, reflect on cultural nuance, and talk about why covering international seasons can be tricky. Listener Voicemail: Laura from the Sutherland Shire shares how the podcasts have been with her through major life milestones—from earning a nursing degree to starting a family. She's even moving closer to Nathan's hometown, leading to talk of theatre productions, beaches, and life in Wollongong. Shea Couleé Drama: The big news of the week—Shea's drag daughters have all dropped the Couleé name. Joe and Nathan cover the story, explore the daughters' cryptic statements, and question what's really going on behind the vague-booking. Joe even makes a bold pitch inviting them to spill the tea on The Rumor Mill. Theme Song Fun: Nathan reacts to a new, very “Australian” variation of his theme song and Joe revisits the AI-generated Rumor Mill jingle. Pop Culture Tangents: From Australian Survivor to Disneyland's Gay Days, the hosts mix in stories of cousins, concerts, and cultural quirks that only Joe and Nathan could deliver. It's a lively mix of hot tea, cultural commentary, listener love, and sharp Drag Race gossip. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Mid South Pride is celebrating 50 years since Gay Day in the Park 1976 brought the LBGTQ rights fight to Memphis. But this anniversary comes at a fraught time, when those rights are under fresh assault at both the state and federal levels. Chris McCoy talks with Mid South Pride Foundation director Vanessa Rodley, board member Elijah Townsend, Focus Magazine founder Ray Rico, and Krista Wright Thayer of the LBGTQ Chamber of Commerce about the meaning of Pride weekend and the future of the movement. On todays show the Fearsome threesome talk about the recent riots in LA, which were described as staged, with pre-printed signs and pallets of bricks. The conversation highlighted Trump's response, including deploying the National Guard and threatening to send Marines. The riots were seen as a diversion from Musk and Trump's public feud. The budget bill's progress was also discussed, with concerns about its impact on the deficit. The group debated the effectiveness of Rand Paul's opposition to the bill and the potential for it to pass despite objections. The Supreme Court's recent unanimous decisions were briefly mentioned. The discussion focused on voter integrity laws, with a consensus on the need for permanent measures. The conversation also touched on the Real ID, which was seen as beneficial despite initial privacy concerns. The speakers debated the political landscape, noting Trump's limited influence due to delays in cabinet appointments. They discussed the potential impact of tax policies, including Trump's tax breaks and the potential for tariffs as a revenue source. Additionally, they mentioned a feud between Riley Gaines and Simone Biles over transgender sports policies and the disappearance of related guidelines. The segment concluded with a light-hearted discussion on Major League Baseball's Gay Day events. Don't miss it!

Join the celebration of resilience and jubilation as we spotlight Kevin Anderson, a lighthouse of advocacy in Houston's vibrant LGBTQ community and a nominee for Grand Marshal at the city's Pride 365 Pride Parade. Kevin bestows upon us the transformative power of storytelling, emphasizing how it fosters healing and fortitude, especially among queer people of color and those affected by HIV. Meanwhile, we trudge through the rodeo dust with Eric Hulsey, president of Out at the Rodeo, who's hitching a rainbow flag to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo—reminiscent of Disney's Gay Days, this initiative promises to expand the horizons of inclusion in spaces where the LGBTQ+ presence is still a frontier. Our narrative tapestry weaves further with the compelling journey of Avery Belyeu, CEO of the Montrose Center, who unveils the rich spectrum of support services offered to Houston's LGBTQ populace. Avery takes us through a transformative trek from the Trevor Project to the Montrose Center, spotlighting the invaluable strides in mental health and community connection. As the episode progresses, Jacques Bourgeois, president of Buddies on the Bayou, orchestrates an overview of their philanthropic crescendo, turning celebratory events into vehicles of support for numerous LGBTQIA+ nonprofits, while teasing an exhilarating line-up for their not-to-be-missed annual festival. Finally, we unfurl the banners of legal triumphs from across the globe, from the recognition of co-motherhood in Israel to the outlawing of conversion therapy in New South Wales, painting a vivid picture of progress amidst adversity. This tapestry of tales not only illustrates the relentless march towards equality but also serves as an invigorating call to join the dance of activism, community solidarity, and the persistent pursuit of joy within the LGBTQ+ family. We're not just sharing stories; we're charting the milestones of change and inviting you to be part of the movement.Queer Voices airs in Houston Texas on 90.1FM KPFT and is heard as a podcast here. A plane crashed after entering restricted airspace over Washington, D.C., and the government says it had nothing to do with it. Filling in for Glenn, Pat and Stu discuss the aftermath and the sonic boom caused by the F-16s that intercepted it. The guys review the ever-growing list of Republicans entering the 2024 presidential race, including this week's potential additions: Chris Christie and Mike Pence. Pat and Stu point out the biggest issue with Disney World's “Gay Days” celebration. The “doomsday glacier” is apparently less “doomsday” than climate change alarmists insisted. The New York Times may have hit a new low with its embarrassing article on President Biden's age. Is climate change destroying Uranus? Walt Disney recently launched their Pride Collection featuring the ‘Mickey Mouse Bodysuit for Baby,' adorned with the colors of the rainbow. “Expressive Mickey Mouse shares the love from this soft cotton bodysuit featuring rainbow color graphics and stitched trims. Baby will lead the parade as your pride and joy!” the item description reads. The Pride Movement wants your children from the cradle, and Walt Disney has just thrown down the gauntlet. On this episode of the NTEB Prophecy News Podcast, Walt Disney World and Disneyland are becoming dystopian battlegrounds in the grooming and recruiting of children as members of the LGBTQIA+ Movement. In California, a transgender man wearing a dress and working at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique greets biological girls to sell them dresses. At Walt Disney World in Florida, ‘Gay Days' have turned the fantasyland into Vanity Fair from The Pilgrim's Progress, and into Sodom and Gomorrah from the Bible. As we have long told you, the Pride Movement started seeking only tolerance, then acceptance, then equality, and now? Dominance. On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, we show you the stunning rise of child grooming and recruiting movements taking place not only at Walt Disney, but all across corporate America as well.
Tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ people are flocking to central Florida this weekend to go on theme park rides, mingle with costumed performers, dance at all-night parties and lounge poolside at hotels during Gay Days, a decades-long tradition. They say a large turnout will send a message that LGBTQ+ people are not going away in Florida, which is continually one of the most popular states for tourists to visit. Gay days indeed, and your King James Bible knows all about it. On this episode of the NTEB Prophecy News Podcast, the war is officially begun as Pride Month 2023 rears its 6-colored rainbowed head, backed by billions in corporate and media sponsorship. Over the last ten years, the number of people who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIAP+ Movement has increased more than 300% from 2.3% in 2009 to 7.2% here in 2023. Where are all these ‘new members' coming from? Children. The main battle against the Pride Movement is not centered around people being able to ‘love who they want to love', not at all. The current rage against it is primarily directed at the grooming and recruiting of children at the grade school level by companies like Disney. That seems to have been the proverbial ‘straw' that broke the camel's back. On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, we show you what you might expect to see during Pride Month 2023, and why it just might be America's last stand.
