I am so excited to bring you this incredible conversation with Robyn Youkilis. If you've been following along, you know we're diving into a series I've lovingly dubbed the "Mommy Olympics"—a reflection on the pressures of modern motherhood. Is it a race to win gold, or is it more of a team sport where we all win by showing up authentically? In this episode, I sit down with Robyn, a wellness entrepreneur, bestselling author, and intuitive guide who has been transforming lives for over 15 years. Robyn's approach to health, parenting, and self-love is a breath of fresh air in a world that often glorifies overextension and martyrdom. We dig deep into her journey from maiden to motherhood, her philosophy on “mothering without martyring,” and how she's rewritten the rules for herself, her kids, and her thriving business. Robyn's wisdom about embracing the seasons of life, setting boundaries, and staying true to yourself left me inspired and, frankly, ready to let go of some things I've been holding onto. This conversation is packed with relatable moments, actionable tips, and so much heart. Whether you're navigating the chaos of motherhood, building a business, or just trying to stay grounded, this episode will leave you feeling seen, supported, and maybe even a little lighter. Key TakeawaysHonor Life's Seasons: Motherhood, work, and life all have cycles. Embrace where you are now instead of trying to do it all.Prioritize Yourself: Taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it helps everyone around you. Start with small, intentional “me time.”Simplify Meal Prep: Use pockets of time to prep basics like grains or veggies and focus on “good enough” meals rather than perfection.Let Things Go: If you haven't tackled a task in two weeks, delegate it or let it go—it's not worth the stress.Be Present: Even 20 minutes of undivided attention with your kids can create deep connection and joy.Use code MOMMYOLYMPICS to receive Robyn's Guided Grounding Meditation bundle for free!Connect with Robyn YoukilisWebsite: Yourhealthiestyou.com - Learn more about Robyn's programs and read her blogsRobynYoukilis.com – Explore her speaking events, and guided meditations.Social Media: Follow Robyn on Instagram @robynyoukilis for daily inspiration, recipes, and wellness tips.Books: Check out her bestsellers Go With Your Gut and Thin From Within.Mentioned in This EpisodePrograms: Hot Mama, Your Healthiest YouWellness Insights: The RIE Method, Ayurvedic approaches to seasonal eatingUpcoming Events: Robyn's speaking engagements and retreats—stay tuned on her website! We sat down with Isabel Rittenberg, CMO of Marble. Marble is a "wallet for your insurance," allowing users to manage all their insurance policies in one place. Isabel shares with Kathryn her career journey from ed tech to FinTech to her current role at Marble. She discusses Marble's data-driven approach to target customers throughout their insurance lifecycle and shares insights into their data organization and processing methods.Isabel highlights Marble's extensive use of data to personalize marketing campaigns and target specific user segments effectively. She discusses the importance of leveraging AI to enhance the user experience, such as developing an AI bot to provide personalized insurance insights. Isabel also explains how Marble utilizes data to identify business opportunities for partners, such as targeting homeowners in tornado-prone areas for specialized insurance campaigns. Overall, the interview provides valuable insights into Marble's data-driven marketing strategies and Isabel's approach to leveraging data to drive business growth and enhance the user experience in the insurance industry.Guest Quote: “We would rather go to a small, targeted group that matches our parameters, then do that sort of spray and pray technique I mentioned before: So, really great getting granular with our queries. It's not uncommon for us to end up with a targeted campaign that might only go to, let's say, 400 people. But, those 400 people fit exactly in the parameters that we have, and then the engagement sort of speaks to this. The fact that we're targeting correctly, you know, we'll see… 40 to 50 percent open rates.” - Isabel RittenbergTime Stamps:(01:36): Isabel's Morning Data Routine(04:31): A Very Specific Customer(08:35): The “Self-Identifying” Customer(09:45): How Isabel Pulls Her Data(11:59): Using AI to Ask Questions(15:00): Going with your Gut?(20:32): Data Creating Business Opportunities(26:43): Creating a Need in the Market(32:59): The Gold RushLinks:Follow Isabel on LinkedinFollow Deluxe on Linkedin

Have you ever heard the saying, “men are from Mars, women are from Venus?” It comes from the popular 1992 book of the same name, which posited that men and women are fundamentally different, and it's a lack of understanding of our male and female traits that causes problems in relationships. Alan Mulally had saved Boeing and left the company for Ford. Mulally was the reason Chris invested in Ford. The celebrity CEO turned it around, so Chris hung on to the stock, but for too long. Chris was suckered into Ford's high dividend, but he soon realized that the company couldn't afford to pay that dividend.Another poor investment that Chris made was investing in GameStop. He was a gamer growing up, and in the 2000s, Gamestop was it. GameStop hooked Chris with the same thing that Ford did. Their dividend was huge, but they couldn't afford it.Aside from stocks, Chris's worst investment ever includes a business that he started to steal customers from his father, whom he despised. Chef Matais Cilloniz (Rafi, Sydney) grew up in the countryside on the central coast of Peru, harvesting the produce his family grew and helping his mother in the family kitchen. This gave him a deep sense of the seasons and an understanding of the hard work growers put into their produce. As he developed his career as a chef, he soon realised a natural instinctive nature to his cooking, and keen to explore it further he ventured down under where he leads a team that champions Australian produce, Peruvian technique and dishes all created in a collaborative environment fostering everyone's instinct. https://rafisydney.com.au Follow Deep In The Weeds on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/deepintheweedspodcast/?hl=en Follow Huck https://www.instagram.com/huckstergram/ Follow Rob Locke (Executive Producer) https://www.instagram.com/foodwinedine/ LISTEN TO OUR OTHER FOOD PODCASTS https://linktr.ee/DeepintheWeedsNetwork Deep in the Weeds is a food podcast hosted by Anthony Huckstep in conversation with chefs, food producers and members of the hospitality industry. Ladies! Sometimes mama knows best! Our next guest, Lauren Dreher, took her mother's advice when she wrote her book "Go with Your Gut: Then Keep Going. She was inspired by the words of a friend who said, "the book that needs writing will write itself". So, our girl, Lauren, just sat down one day with her trusty 99 cent spiral notebook and wrote a damn book. And she has a LOT to share. She was scarred as a child with the removal of large birthmarks on her face and endured the cruelty of people staring and commenting about her physical appearance. And ladies, we alllllllll know the stories that get stuck in our head....? Right? The stories that tell us we're not good enough, we're not perfect. We can never be successful...fill in the blank girl. We all do it. But, Lauren decided not to let these (false) narratives hold her back. She knew she was meant for more and set off on a journey to heal her own past traumas and triumph over tragedy. Today, Lauren is a mindset enthusiast, the author of Go With Your Gut: Then Keep Going and the host of the podcast: Go With Your Gut. Today, she shares with us the tools she used to change her own habits and in turn, her life. She uses these tools to help women to let go of who they were in the past, discover who they are now and figure out their new path in life. In this episode, Lauren teaches us: We (women) tend to get stuck because we spend a lifetime assuming the roles and doing the things we think we're supposed to do or be. We get stuck in the everyday rituals and forget who we are as individuals. We need to be openminded about where our gut is taking us and what gives your fire and energy at this stage in life. Regardless of internal or external opposition. Lauren is a huge advocate of journaling/writing out what you can't figure out to help with forward momentum, helping to change daily habits. Know yourself...what stories are you telling yourself and what impact did these have? Then dig into the root cause behind your mental stories. Get over the stigma of therapy and start to listen to your body and emotions. Be open minded to new possibilities. It's never too late to make.a change. In this episode, Lauren teaches us: Get over the stigma of therapy and start to listen to your body and emotions.

What should you rely on more when it comes to big choices? How often do we actually make a wrong decision? Which advice that we're given is sound, and which might we question? Gain wisdom through the final in this 3-part series on making better decisions with more confidence and clarity. As I say at the end, “I'm working on and growing in having more peace with complicated choices, feeling less anxious about them, living with them more, accepting them, finding the silver linings and the hope that I can't absolutely know for sure that it won't be great either way, that the tough spots won't get better, and from that place of hope and trust, it makes it a lot easier to take leaps and look for the best along the way, which tends to mean we'll find it.” Links in this episode: Get on the waitlist for the 2023 Elegant Excellence Journal!
