I scheduled a meeting with my boss one cold mid-March morning in New York City. Since saving up almost $40,000, I had started to taste freedom in my morning coffee. My courage came out of nowhere. I was about to do something crazy. I was on the edge, flirting with the real world. That morning, I did the dead. I quit my full-time job.Three years have passed since that fateful morning, and this week, I hosted a party to celebrate that. As I sipped white wine with my friends, I realized that despite what the crunch of capitalism would want you to believe, I'm still here. I've survived for three years without a full-time job; I also moved to Mexico City and published a teen romance novel in the process. And in some ways, I'm thriving. This article is for anyone in the corporate world who is curious about what I've learned in the chaos of building my new career as a writer, freelancing, and fun, which I'm calling my “post-employment” era. Here, I've distilled for you the five most important professional lessons that I've never shared anywhere else, as well as the most impactful things in other categories of my life.Top Five Lessons for Post-Employment Professional Thriving
Bruce Lee wasn't just a martial arts icon. He was a master of mental discipline, using six powerful habits that transformed his approach to life and success. Bruce's journey reveals how deliberate practice shaped his legendary status. March 23rd 2025 Yuriy describes how fear has evolved for the people in Ukraine, shifting from an abstract concept to a practical reality as they learned to live under the constant threat of shelling and missile strikes. Now, as uncertainty looms again, they find themselves gripped by a familiar yet paralyzing fear of the unknown, making it hard to find solace and hope in the chaos. It's strange how quickly fear evolves before the full scale war began. When the Russians were amassing troops at our borders, and their TV was filled with promises to destroy Ukraine in a matter of days, fear was vague- people, myself included, we are afraid of an abstract war. It was terror of something unknown and not yet fully understood. After the invasion began, fear transformed almost immediately. People became afraid of shelling, missile strikes and sought shelter from loud noises. Over time, even that fear changed. People learned to distinguish what was exploding and how far it was just by sound to know whether they needed to hide. Our children in kindergarten can identify artillery calibers by sound and understand whether the artillery can reach them. Fear didn't disappear; it simply adapted, became more practical- more, if I may say so, functional. But now the same fear of unknown, that existed before the full scale war is rising again. Once again, we are faced with uncertainty. We don't know what comes next for us, our fate, the fate of our children, is being decided behind our back without our participation. We are treated like goods with powerful players want to sell for their own profit, and if no buyer is found, simply discard us. Discard living people. People who did not start this war, who never brought weapons to foreign lands, who are only defending their own . This fear keeps us awake at night, clouds our judgment, and makes it impossible to live normally. We all try to distract ourselves in some way. I, for example, have started to write about the Middle East on Substack again, but it does not help much. Uncertainty is a terrify thing. It's no coincidence they say that waiting for death is worse than death itself, and we don't even know what we are waiting for- for death, betrayal being sold out to Putin, or if we're just being scared for some incomprehensible purpose. But regardless, it's terrifying. Of course, fear has been with us all these years. But we had hope, the free world showed at us that we are not alone, that it stood with us. But now the free world is lost in confusion. And that confusion could come at the high price, not just for us, but for everyone else too. It's so strange, when the full scale war began. My daughter was 16, in just a few days, she will turn 20. The Russians stole her best years. War stole them. And there is a danger that this is only the beginning, that it's not just three years of war, but the first three years of war.

Love-Bombing to Discard: The Narcissist's Playbook in all relationships Narcissistic relationships often follow a chillingly predictable pattern. At first, the narcissist sweeps their target off their feet with an overwhelming display of love/ affection/attention —a stage known as love-bombing. But just as quickly as they idolised their partner, they begin to devalue them, leading to the inevitable and devastating discard. This cycle leaves victims confused, heartbroken, and questioning their reality. If you've ever been through this whirlwind of affection/positive attention followed by cruelty, you're not alone. In this episode I break down this manipulative playbook step by step to understand how narcissists operate—and, most importantly, how to protect yourself. If you found this episode informative, I would absolutely love it if you could rate this podcast, leave a review, and please share, Share, SHARE! BPD Breakup Ghost or Discard Is Not Your FaultBPD breakup, ghosting, or discard is not your fault. People with suspected BPD, diagnosed BPD untreated (or not fully treated) can't stop the ghosting or discards and neither can you. People with BPD often feel out of control in relationships and people with Codependency try to help, rescue, fic and change them. They need years of therapy that they would fully engage in to ever be able to have a healthy, age-appropriate relationships with healthy communication. It takes years of therapy for people with BPD to unlearn maladaptive defenses - namely splitting and all-or-nothing thinking along with not taking everything personally and to build and create a container of self. No matter how many times you recycle as a Codependent with an untreated person with BPD nothing can change. Each relationship recycle you just experience more and more of the same.https://ajmahari.ca/sessions https://survivingbpdrelationshipbreakup.com

Www.weaponizedlove.com - (Narccon Supports)Narcissists all operate from the same playbook which makes them easier to identify observing their very predictable behaviour patterns. Narcissists are typically not emotionally intelligent or at least very under developed emotionally. Coupled with a malign approach when their control is in any way threatened or even perceived to be so, their emotional bomb throwing when taken to heart can cause confusion and destruction. Once you understand that the words and phrases narcissists commonly use at and during the discard are part and parcel of their disordered personality and malignant energy sources it becomes easier to depersonalise the experience. Education and understanding coupled with a depersonalisation can be very freeing and ultimately is the first stage in healing from such an encounter.https://youtu.be/ftDoSdOBc30NARCCON1Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/@narccon/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

A pathological narcissist makes you feel like the most special person in the world, and then the next day, will discard you for the tiniest of reasons – and then they blame you. If you grew up with parents who sometimes cared for you and sometimes forgot about you – or blamed you, you may be especially vulnerable to this dizzy cycle with partners who idealize you, become emotionally abusive, and then throw you away. In this video, I respond to a letter from a woman who wants help understanding what happened, and how she can stop repeating this trauma-driven behavior. I Am Whole (Identity Series)Colossians 2:9-10 “ For in him dwells the whole fullness of the deity bodily, and you share in this fullness in him, who is the head of every principality and power.”This episode will conclude our “I am who God says I am” series. I am whole is a struggle for many to believe. We have all sinned before; we all sin frequently, probably. It can be easy for us to think that sin makes us less than especially if we have had a really difficult past. Maybe we have had a lot of relationships in the past, and we didn't show up as our best selves in them. Maybe we haven't had a lot of relationships, but we have slept with a lot of other people. I think many people in this society feel used. I think we feel used by the other sex, used by our bosses, and used by big companies to sell more products. There is just this brokenness instead of the feeling that we are whole. What just popped into my mind was all the teenagers right now and how easy it is to feel broken when you are a teen. You don't look the right way, your hair isn't perfect, your clothes aren't perfect. Life can be really hard when you are young. A therapist told me the other day that 15 was the most volatile age for emotions. At this age, you feel your emotions more intensely than you ever will again. Our minds are so easily persuaded by the enemy. Why is it so much easier to believe the negative than it is to believe the positive?I read a great article about this called “Finding Spiritual Wholeness" by Leanne Payne. Click Here for the article. I recommend you read the whole thing. What Leanne was talking about in this article is that God is perfectly whole, and we are made in his likeness and image. She said, “When “sin” (That which is against God's character) entered the world, so did our brokenness, along with our broken ideas about how we view ourselves, God, and others. There is an intuitive knowledge of our personal brokenness that we are constantly attempting to fix, deny, or protect.” Isn't this so true? We are always trying to fix, deny, or protect our brokenness. You might be wondering why anyone would want to protect their brokenness. I have talked with plenty of people who want to protect their brokenness because they have become comfortable with that brokenness. They have lived with that brokenness, so they have come to identify as a broken person. Changing that image would be hard and not something they believe they can do. One thing we don't realize is that life is hard. Yes, it is hard to change, and yet, isn't living a sinful life also hard? Eating healthy can be hard, yet isn't being overweight and struggling to get around hard, too? Standing up to our loved ones and putting boundaries in place is hard, yet so is living without those boundaries in place. Quitting vaping is hard, yet so is living life addicted to nicotine and not being able to concentrate because you are thinking about the next time when you will get to hit your vape. The article I read talked about how sin distorts how we look at things. Here are a few examples she gave: Sin perverts our perception of God: God is angry with me - “He hates my sin, he must hate me.”God is disgusted with me - "I'm too dirty and damaged for Him to accept me” God is distant from me - “Why would he want to be with me when I'm like this?”God is unfair - “This is just one big setup...I couldn't stop if I tried.”God is unhappy - “All the fun things are off limits!”Sin warps our self-perception: We become foolishly great in our own eyes when we hide from the reality of our sin, like the emperor with no clothes. We become worth - less in our own eyes when we become hyper-focused on our sins.Sin degrades or elevates (to unhealthy levels) our perception of others: We tend to do the same thing with other people that we do with ourselves - We make them out to be greater or less than we are. We serve them like gods or treat them like dogs.Payne goes on to say, "Sin brings disintegration of self while righteousness (living congruently with the character of God) brings integration of self or spiritual wholeness. This is one reason God hates sin so much - He doesn't want our disintegration because He loves us! It must be said that any and all “righteous living” apart from God doesn't get us to wholeness; it gets us to self-righteousness - a horrible disease that many Christians live with and perpetrates on others.”Now that we have talked about why we think we are not whole let's look at what makes us whole. Do our actions determine if we are whole? Nope! Payne says, “Spiritual wholeness is not dependent on our actions but on an acceptance of God's acting on our part in the life/death/resurrection of Christ. Because of our faith in Christ and what He's done on our behalf, God can pronounce us whole and remain a just God even though we often go on acting broken.” Jesus died to make us whole again. He took our sins to the cross with Him. We are no longer broken. Yes, we still act like we are broken at times, yet God has redeemed us and made us whole. So, if God has redeemed us and made us whole, why don't we feel whole? I think we don't feel whole because we struggle to believe that He can forgive us for what we have done. We don't accept that forgiveness for ourselves. We will be the first ones to convince a friend or loved one that Jesus loves and forgives ALL their sins; we just struggle to believe He will do it for us. I talked with a woman recently who had been to confession about a time in her life when she wasn't proud of how she was living. Even though she had been to confession, the enemy was still not letting her move past it. She kept thinking about it and believing that she was her past mistakes. She believed that she was stuck in her past. Things won't change because she is still that person. She wasn't believing in the healing that took place during confession. So many of us do this same thing. We believe we are our past mistakes. We believe if we did it once we will do it again. We struggle to believe things will change, and we struggle to believe that God could forgive us. To reiterate what the author of the article said, “Spiritual wholeness is not dependent on our actions but on an acceptance of God's acting on our part in the life/death/resurrection of Christ.” It is not our actions that make us whole; it is Jesus' actions. Jesus knew when He decided to die on that cross for us that we would keep sinning. He didn't die for us because we were blameless or because He knew we were going to stop sinning. He died for us to make us whole, and His sacrifice was complete. The verse above says, “ For in him dwells the whole fullness of the deity bodily, and you share in this fullness in him, who is the head of every principality and power.” We were made in the likeness and image of God. We share in the fullness of Him. However, when sin entered the world, so did our brokenness. God sent His only son to repair that. He died on the cross to make us whole, let's live our lives in honor of that. Let's live into this truth that we are whole. We are no longer broken. Christ made us whole!Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to bless all those listening to this episode today. Lord, we love you and we thank you for giving us your son to die on the cross so we could be made whole. Help us to live in that wholeness, Lord. Help us to accept your forgiveness and help us make it more about you than about us. Help us to stop listening to the enemy. Help us to be strong enough to reject his stupid lies. Open our eyes to his lies and give us the strength to renounce them and take away any authority they have. Lord, when we believe the lies, we empower the liar. We are done empowering the liar, Lord. We want you to be the only one that has any power in our lives. We love you, Lord, and we ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus' holy name, Amen!Thank you so much for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus. The narcissistic discard can come on suddenly and when you least expect it. Often, discards occur in the face of conflict when a narcissist is in fear of being exposed. If you are a somewhat healthy person, who believes in fairness, and authenticity, in time, the narcissists inability to go deep and to live with accountability will be revealed. If you are not prepared for what happens when you and a narcissist experience even a minor conflict, you might go down a rabbit hole looking for ways to resolve an issue they are incapable of resolving. Instead, a narcissist positions themselves as a victim, demonized you and relies on backward rationalization to help justify discarding you before their shortcomings become exposed. If you have ever experienced a discard, this episode will undoubtedly help clear your mind from the tangled web of disordered thinking and self preserving rationalizations of a narcissist. Www.weaponizedlove.com - (all narc con support services)#narccon #narcissist #toxic relationshipThe narcissist's discard is a most devastating experience initially, comes out of left field, and is dished out to their target at the worst possible time and usually in the cruelest of ways. Overcoming and recovering from such an emotionally, psychologically, spiritually and sometimes physically devastating life event can at first appear insurmountable. Akin to an NDE in terms of soul challenging, it can however be turned on its head and used to great advantage by a narcissists former partner, friend, or family member. Recovering from and reversing the narcissistic discard is totally possible, is highly recommended, and the results of such a reversal are exceptionally rewarding in a healing capacity. Harnessing the power of this painful experience with a narcissist and utilizing that energy for personal freedom and, as a transformative breakthrough out of the matrix so to speak, becomes a blessing. The physical effect of such an escape is oftentimes, a narcissist looking to return to the relationship quicker than their normal cycle would predict. God's armor is advised during this transformative time of personal recovery to deflect and protect the light within.https://youtu.be/-q0Yx1P_B8EDisclaimer: This YouTube channel provides information for educational purposes only.
