With Suzy Ashworth, Quantum Transformation and Embodiment Coach Suzy Ashworth is a Quantum Transformation and Embodiment coach who helps entrepreneurs step into a higher version of themselves, a version that believes they are deserving of higher success. If you're not into the woo woo, hey, me either, and Suzy is one of us. She's one of the most practical people I know, and up until recently she was a successful business coach, before she found quantum healing and it helped her reach a million dollars in revenue in a single year. I had her explain to me what this is, and how we can all tap into that goldmine of awareness. I had her explain it all to me like I am a 5 year old, and I know you're going to be as fascinated as I was. I think I am a little reticent because I don't have a full on course to offer yet, but I know all of the advice is not to wait until you have a course and to start advertising beforehand and then build it fully once you have actual clients. But I am struggling with trying to sell something and advertise something that doesn't fully exist yet…. Every technology has its growing pains, but Facebook, at age 15, has matured into a never-ending disaster. Here at Soonish, I'm fed up, and I'm closing my accounts. In this episode, you’ll hear how I reached this point, and how other Facebook users are coming to grips with the chronic problems at the social network. You might just come away with some ideas about what to do to limit Facebook’s power over your own life! The first signs that something was seriously wrong at Facebook surfaced in—well, when? Was it 2014, when the company acknowledged it had experimented on users by altering the content of the news feed to see how it would affect their moods? Was it 2015, when misinformation about alleged Muslim attacks on Buddhists in Myanmar spread on Facebook, leading to anti-Muslim riots? Was it 2017, when evidence began to emerge that Russian hackers had influenced the US presidential election by promoting divisive content designed to mobilize Trump voters and demotivate Clinton voters in swing states? Was it 2018, when the world learned that Facebook had allowed the British political data firm Cambridge Analytica to acquire Facebook data on 87 million users in the U.S.? Was it last week, when a white-nationalist gunman in New Zealand live-streamed his terror attack on Facebook, and hundreds of thousands of copies of the video ricocheted around the network for hours? No matter when you start the clock, we’ve now had plenty of time to perceive Facebook’s failures in all their depth and breadth. And we’ve been able to pinpoint some of the root causes—including a fundamental disregard for user privacy and a fixation on a business model that surveils users and manipulates the content of the news feed to foment outrage and maximize opportunities for targeted advertising. Some Facebook users, like me, have decided that enough is enough. Many others are staying, but unhappily. Should you keep using Facebook, but more advisedly? Cut way back? Walk away? All of these are valid strategies that will send a message to Facebook and make your own life happier. Doing nothing probably won’t. This episode is designed to help listeners make a more conscious choice. Building relationships with other podcasters is a very cool thing. I’ve experienced it online for a long time with people in various groups I’m a part of. But there’s something even COOLER about meeting people in person and sharing the love of podcasting together. I was invited to speak at the recent DC Podfest (about the Triple Power of Killer Show Notes - I’ll share that presentation in an upcoming episode). And just being at the event made building relationships so much easier. The conversations were natural, the people were great, and it was a lot of fun to boot! So… on this episode I want to help you start building relationships with other podcasters by introducing you to some of the great people I met. I walked around with my digital recorder and got some great clips from some of my new friends and wanted you to hear who they are, what they are doing, and maybe even make a new podcast friend. I hope you enjoy this! Outline of this episode [1:18] The reason I’m doing this episode. [1:51] Jen Hemphill - host of Her Money Matters. With my graduation yesterday, there are some thoughts I feel compelled to share. What I have learned, what the past four years have given me and the role they will play in the greater scope of my life. These are words to myself, for those who have given me the feelings and thoughts to express them. - Kip Clark

It's been a year since we set out on this journey and started Stride and Saunter. We've learned a lot about podcasting, our world and our ever-growing audience. But we've also been fortunate to learn more about ourselves in the process - our ambitions, our capacities and new-found skills. We continue to thoroughly enjoy every aspect of this project and we hope the show continues to please and develop with time. We're very excited with upcoming plans and episodes and we can't wait to share them with you. With sincere gratitude, Kip Clark, Caroline Borders and Hector Marrero

Songs Inside|Songs and Stories from a Singer/ Songwriter

Ep7 Judge Not -Songs Inside     This  podcast is  about judging people when we know nothing about them.       Don't be fool enough to think you can know a person's character after a few  moments of observation. You can't. You have no idea where his life began or how his saga has unfolded thus far. Only his present state can you witness. To judge him at a glance is like reading one page in an open book, believing it's  enough to confidently recite the story from beginning to end.  True, one page may tell you much, but not nearly enough to accurately critique a book or evaluate a life. So, either become his friend and learn his entire story, or refrain from commenting on a tale you know nothing about.”  ― Richelle E. Goodrich     Today I listenend to Marcy Langlois on Risk  episode titled Surrender  they did such a good job with her story. I encourage you all to listen to it after this one.  Her story fits in so well this episode, it makes not doubt how some things are meant to be.    I had been struggling to find the right story for this episode, I went through bad metaphors , scientific backgrounds and studies on the human brain about  why we judge. But I was really looking for a personal story about someone  being judged and who also judged themselves.  My personal story with the song You Don't Know Me seemed trivial and  contrite because it was more about the incident that got me to write the song more than the feeling I was trying to convey. But Marcy's story is amazing for transformation she has gone through, for the  trauma she has endured, for the self hatred she lashed upon herself.   Marcy's story works within this episode because we all want to feel connected and have the basic need to feel accepted and valued for who we are.  Our traumas, struggles and heartaches are not bumper stickered to our faces.  Before you judge someone reflect on the Golden Rule  " Do unto others as you would have them do unto you  Norman Rockwell painted a nice visual for this one.     If you have something to share  about being judged or just want to comment on the podcast you can leave me a review like Kip did , go to itunes in your desktop or laptop and find the  Songs Inside podcast then hit Suscribe, then you will see the  Rating and Review box, click that and leave your comment and  a five star rating if you think I deserve it. Thanks for sticking around, I'll talk to you next week.   Kate does not have nearly the attention she deserves.  In these early episodes her passion, talent and drive are both impressive and evident.  She does a wonderful job as a solo host and keeps her audience engaged and informed.  As others have said, she has a marvelous voice which is a pleasure to hear.  The knowledge and variety she brings to each episode is also thoroughly entertaining.  Finally, Kate keeps each episode interesting without dragging anything out. This is truly a lovely show! This episode we have on the two awesome hosts of Coffee with Kanobi, a coffee house style chat about all things Star Wars. We discuss the importance of connecting with listeners via Social media, like Twitter, and how being real and genuine can bring in the audience. Their show has come a long way from their first attempt at recording. The first attempt taking an astounding 14 hours to record, with only 18 minutes of listenable material, to now being featured on StarWars.com A few things we learned from both Dan and Cory are that family and friendship come first, before the podcast, so they work together using clear communication, and balancing each other out, to make sure everything gets done.  They advise this; you can't fail at something when you are doing it for fun, and you can find your own voice through practice on the mic. We also have a podcaster who shares his "How has podcasting change my life" story. He is the one and only, Kip Clark, host of the "Stride and Saunter" podcast, which can be found here:http://www.strideandsaunter.com/ Also weighing in on his side of the podcasting world, with another Podcast Review, is non other than our good buddy Andrew Johnstone, previously of the now defunct but still reputable Podcast Squared. Andrew joins us to give you, the listener, a review on the podcast "Cardboard!" hosted by Rich Sommer, a podcast all about board games. You can find Cardboard! here:http://cardboard.wolfpop.com/ If you would like to share with us how podcasting has changed your life or if you have suggestions for a guest, please send us an email!
