Send us a Text Message. If only the books of Samuel ended there, after David's final words. It's a great place to end, but he didn't. There is more in 2 Samuel 23 and 24, and it is anti-climatic for the books of Samuel. However, it is an intriguing link to the future of Christ and our redemption. Recall that the author is writing the final chapters in a chiasm which is a literary structure where themes mirror each other in an inverted pattern. The focus is on the center of the chiasm. We have discussed the first 4 steps of the chiasm: Saul causes a famine, David's Mighty Warriors, David's final song, and David's final words. In 2 Samuel 23, we will discuss the remaining:David's Mighty Warriors, and David causes a plague. These two mirror the first two. There will be more detail on the Mighty Warriors. Then we will end with David causing a plague which is a comparison to Saul causing a famine.Thank you for being a part of the club.Show NotesBlogThe Path to Good or EvilDavid's CensusThe Tribal Allotments of IsraelJerusalem in the Time of David and SolomonDavid's Wars of ConquestThe Old Testament BooksThe New Testament BooksBible TimelineContact Bible Book ClubLike, comment, or message us through Bible Book Club's InstagramLike or comment on Susan's Facebook or InstagramLeave us an Apple reviewContact us through our website formThanks for listening and happy podcasting!

Arise, Mighty Warriors: Gideons 300 Army in 2024 • Friday Service at the RRC Website: www.PastorTodd.org To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Book: www.PastorToddBook.com RRC Nashville: www.RRCNashvile.org Introduction: - Gideon's story is not just a historical account; it's a divine blueprint for overcoming insurmountable odds. - In Judges 7, we witness God's miraculous intervention through Gideon's army of 300, demonstrating the power of faith and obedience. - As we delve into this passage, let's uncover the spiritual principles that can empower us to conquer our own battles. 1. **The Call to Arms** (Judges 6:11-16) - Scripture: Judges 6:12 - "And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, 'The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!'" - Commentary: Despite Gideon's initial doubts and fears, God affirms his identity as a mighty man of valor, reminding him of the divine strength available through God's presence. 2. **The Winnowing Process** (Judges 7:1-7) - Scripture: Judges 7:2 - "And the Lord said to Gideon, 'The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, "My own hand has saved me."'” - Commentary: God intentionally reduces Gideon's army to demonstrate that victory comes through His power alone, not through human strength or numbers. 3. **The Midnight Encounter** (Judges 7:9-15) - Scripture: Judges 7:13-14 - "And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said, 'I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed.' Then his companion answered and said, 'This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.'” - Commentary: God confirms Gideon's victory through the dream of the Midianite soldier, affirming His divine intervention and delivering assurance to Gideon. 4. **The Unconventional Warfare** (Judges 7:16-22) - Scripture: Judges 7:20 - "Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers—they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing—and they cried, 'The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!'" - Commentary: Gideon's army engages in unconventional warfare, utilizing torches, trumpets, and broken pitchers to confuse and defeat the enemy, symbolizing the power of God's strategies over human wisdom. 5. **The Complete Victory** (Judges 7:23-25) - Scripture: Judges 7:22 - "When the three hundred blew the trumpets, the Lord set every man's sword against his companion throughout the whole camp; and the army fled to Beth Acacia, toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel Meholah, by Tabbath." - Commentary: Through the obedience and faith of Gideon's 300, God delivers a complete victory over the enemy, showcasing His faithfulness and power to save His people. Conclusion: - Gideon's 300 teaches us that it's not about the size of our army, but the magnitude of our faith in God. - Let's apply these principles in our lives: trusting God's promises, embracing His selection process, listening for His guidance, and engaging in unconventional warfare against the enemy. - As we arise as mighty warriors in Christ, let's expect nothing less than complete victory in every battle we face. Amen.

Debbie Lee is an author, public speaker and founder of America's Mighty Warriors. She has traveled the nation telling her son's amazing story and advocating for our troops, veterans, their families and families of the fallen. Debbie understands the sacrifice our troops make and that "Freedom isn't free." On Aug 2, 2006, she received a knock on the door that would forever change her life. She was notified that her son Marc Alan Lee had been killed in action becoming the first Navy SEAL killed in Iraq. Since that day Debbie has dedicated her life to our military, defending our defenders and fighting to keep the freedoms that our troops have fought for. By God's strength she chose to rise above the most devastating circumstance of her life to impact others lives, giving them hope and encouragement. In response to her son's last letter home to "pass on the love, the kindness, the precious gift of human life" she founded America's Mighty Warriors. Debbie has completed a multitude of cross country tours, visited Gitmo and Iraq in 2007 and 2010 becoming the First Gold Star Mom in history to visit the combat zone where her son died. She is known in the SEAL and military community as “MommaLee.” In this episode, Brad and Debbie discuss the government, the country, and the operational issues within our military. Bombs: The military officers that were discharged due to their choice to not be vaccinated are more honorable than the men discharging them. Momma strives to support our servicemen and women and their families because our service men and women supported this country. Don't sit back and complain, do something to make a change. Beloved, do you see yourself as MIGHTY or weak? My Prayer and purpose for this message and this podcast is to help equip and empower God's mighty men and women to EMERGE, to come out of darkness and into the light, and to be transformed into He has called us to be. God began revealing to me how He sees me so I could help others discover How He sees them. I want to share this vision with you and help YOU see yourself in a new light as a MIGHTY WARRIOR! I love stories in the Bible where God takes weak, humble, and sometimes fearful people and transforms them into Mighty men or women and uses them to do supernatural and extraordinary things. These legendary heroes of the faith astonish and inspire us as we hear their stories. One such heroic tale is found in the Book of Judges and told in the life of Gideon. Beloved, I believe you and I are called by God to do great things. But many of us are in hiding. We feel afraid, weak, vulnerable, unqualified, or trapped. But I think God wants to remind you that with Him all things are possible. I want to give you an image to grab hold of in your spirit that encourages you to move confidently and courageously in royal authority. I hope this message puts a fight in you to go out and transform the world. But before we can transform others, we first have to be transformed—in the way we see ourselves, see others, and see God. In this powerful episode, Mistie shares seven lessons we can learn from one man's story that will help us see ourselves in God's GRAND narrative.
