I started using affirmations in 2018 after I made the decision that I wanted to run City Girl Savings full-time. When I tell you there is a night and day difference between how I thought then and how I think now, affirmations are what took me to the next level. The thing about affirmations is that they aren't just words you say out loud. They are beliefs you want to be true about yourself or your situation. The more you say them, the more you affirm them. The more you affirm them, the more you believe them. When you start believing in them, you start living them. Then, the magic happens! This episode is going to be a little different – one by one, I'm going to share my favorite affirmations for money, success, happiness and more. I'm going to start with the oldest to newest, so you can see the progression. Feel free to take any of these affirmations and make them you own! Here's a glance at this episode: [01:54] I started using affirmations in 2018 when I knew I wanted to run City Girl Savings full-time. I had never used them prior to. [04:30] “I'm fully capable of the desires inside me.” [06:48] “I am the kind of person who never stops learning, growing and practicing gratitude.” [08:14] “I live a healthy, happy, active lifestyle.” [11:05] When you use affirmations, you start doing things in line with what you're trying to achieve. True happiness comes from within, not from possessions that can be bought.Mankatha. MONEY
It's national PI day. As in 3.14. Who do you call the most? Do you aid in someone's narcissistic behavior? Can money buy you happiness? Would you rather have a job you love but pays little or a job that pays a lot but you hate? There is a lottery ticket worth well over $100K that is about to expire. Experts say you should call family or friends for at least 12 minutes a day to help with stress.

In this episode, I'm getting personal and sharing some of my early life experiences that have shaped my money philosophy and why I help women get bolder, braver, and better paid. To me, money is simply a bonus byproduct of having honored the limitless capacity of the human mind, brain, and soul, and a byproduct of having cultivated courage and conviction in the face of difficult circumstances. I coach for reasons bigger than money, because I know first hand what it's like to overcome being an immigrant, being in a lower economic class, and being a woman in a patriarchal society that undervalues women's contributions. For these reasons, I'm also sharing an important business announcement with the intention of making executive coaching more accessible to underprivileged women. You'll learn: Why money is not my life's purpose and does not define my self-worth What's bigger and more valuable and more important than making large sums of money at the expense of your well-beingHow to see money as a neutral tool, so you can use it in a way that reduces harm in the world and honors your values The mindset and thinking behind the class-equitable sliding scale fee If you want to dive deeper with me, you're invited to book your free 1:1 consultation. In this episode of The Psychedelic Integration Podcast, Sinclair is digging into shifting beliefs about money and abundance. Money is like Fight Club. The first rule is YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT MONEY. (GASP! *pearl clutch*) Money is such a fear-filled, scarce, uncomfortable subject – especially for spiritual folks with big open hearts. Today I'm throwing down some real talk about breaking your blocks around money, and how this is CRUCIAL work on your path of spirituality, psychedelic integration, and being in service. Because for a lot of us, it is scary. It's stressful. It's some mystery that you can't understand, that rules your life in ways you don't like. It determines where you can live, what work you do, the kind of healthcare you get, the car you drive, and the quality of life you get to have. We are told that Money = Happiness. But plant medicine will start pulling on that thread and unraveling it until you confront this programming, and start asking yourself what you actually value. What really makes you happy? What if abundance isn't about money at all? What if it's actually safe and spiritual to have money? What would your world look like if you stopped fighting with money and started looking at it as a friend? A magical energy that you can attract and connect with, so that you can open yourself to the Spiritual Opulence that you deserve. Read the full show notes HERE:
Does money buy happiness? According to Harvard Business School professor Michael Norton, yes… if you're spending it right. Named by Wired Magazine as one of '50 People Who Will Change the World', Michael has spent decades uncovering the fascinating human truths that influence our relationship with money, social norms and political correctness. Today, Michael joins us to share how smarter spending can lead to happier, more fulfilling lives. Using numerous real-life examples and three specific practices, this conversation reimagines how to buy happiness.

We hear all the time that money can't buy happiness. We also hear that mo' money = mo' problems. But having the money to buy that new house or car or save for retirement will make me happier. Right? Today we discuss the relationship between money and happiness and how --after our basic needs are met-- the way we think about money can have a more significant effect on our happiness than the money we actually have. Today's conversation is with Dr. Daniel Crosby. Daniel is a psychologist, behavioural finance expert and asset manager who applies his study of market psychology to everything from financial product design to security selection. He is the author of The Behavioural Investor, co-author of the New York Times bestseller Personal Benchmark: Integrating Behavioural Finance and Investment Management, and the Chief Behavioural Office at Orion Advisors Solutions. This conversation was exciting to have because Daniel is at forefront of behavioralising finance. His ideas have appeared in the Huffington Post and Risk Management Magazine, as well as his monthly columns for WealthManagement.com and Investment News. Daniel was named one of the "12 Thinkers to Watch" by Monster.com, a "Financial Blogger You Should Be Reading" by AARP and in the "Top 40 Under 40" by Investment News. Daniel is perfectly positioned to explain so many big topics, emotions, feelings and trends when it comes to our relationship with money. Expect to learn what behavioural finance is, if money can buy happiness, just what was going on with the Reddit stock picking drama in recent years, the role of hedonic adaptation in our spending, and much more. I also aspect Daniel about his own approach and how he navigates the psychological pitfalls that humans can fall into as investors. In terms of understanding why you behave the way you do with money, this episode cannot be beaten. I hope you get the opportunity to absorb this information and education before considering your own plans. As ever with conversations like this, it should not be construed as financial advice for your personal circumstances and instead viewed as education. On this episode I get right into the needed conversation of mental health with a good friend of mine, Tracy. We both expressed some mental health issues we have faced over recent years, and the underlining cause of those issues. We touched on how social media can have an impact on someones mental health, and the courage Naomi Osaka has for taking time away from tennis to handle her issues. Finally, both Tracy and I talk about money and its tie to the mental health conversation. Enjoy :) --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/theginnpodcast/support
We live in a culture that says more money = more happiness. Today, host Travis Shelton dives into the psychology of money and why it never makes us as happy as we think it will. We also explore some of the things that DO make us happy, according to behavioral scientists. You'll probably be surprised.....but not surprised at all. Everywhere we look, we find more evidence pointing to meaning being far more important than money. Surprise, surprise!!
