40 years of marriage secrets revealed: Why you must be 'stupid' to stay married - and the brutal truths about money that destroy relationships. In this explosive episode of Konnected Minds, Dr. Charles Apoki shatters every romantic notion about marriage with raw wisdom earned from four decades with the same woman. From Ghana's studios, this Nigerian powerhouse delivers uncomfortable truths: intelligent people don't stay married long because they're too logical to apologize when their wife cries for doing something wrong. He exposes why 55% of divorces are initiated by women - not because of abuse or infidelity, but because men marry buttocks instead of brains, focusing on curves that expire rather than character that endures. The conversation takes a revolutionary turn as Dr. Apoki reveals his unconventional marriage strategy: leaving all his businesses to his wife and choosing peace over pride. Drawing from biblical parallels and medical expertise, he explains why women are physiologically designed to control ("your desire shall be to control your husband") and why men who can't provide become invisible even to their own children. His formula is stark: romance without finance is physical exercise and punishment. Critical revelations include: • The six-woman evolution theory - how your one wife becomes six different people over 40 years • Why women who contribute financially never spend frivolously vs. consumptive wives who drain resources • The mental image technique that prevented adultery despite global temptations • How fetching water for 10 camels (1,200 liters) reveals a woman's capacity for your vision • The apocalyptic productivity formula: G×E³×S⁴/C=P (Grace x Effort x Strategy/Sustainability/Savings/Systems divided by Constraints) • Why he sold plantain suckers for 1.25 million during COVID instead of waiting for miracles From cleaning toilets as a medical doctor to importing cars, from selling second-hand clothes to writing 40 books, Dr. Apoki demolishes the entitlement mentality plaguing modern marriages. He shares how he saved meals from preaching engagements to feed his children, worked multiple hospital shifts earning $400 monthly, and why he removes his car battery when not driving to ensure sustainability. The episode crescendos with his most provocative insight: successful men have more to lose in divorce because reputation matters more than money. His solution? Become strategically stupid - apologize even when she's wrong, leave the businesses to avoid daily friction, and understand that peace at 60 matters more than being right. This isn't marriage counseling - it's a masterclass in building wealth while navigating the psychological warfare of long-term partnership, where financial orgasms matter as much as physical ones, and where men who can't feed their families create children who hate their God. My guest today is Richard Byworth, Managing Partner at Syz Capital, bridging traditional finance with Bitcoin. With over 25 years in global investment banking and asset management, Richard now spearheads Syz's $300m digital asset strategies and hosts the *Syz the Future* podcast. He's also a Board Member at Relai, and an advisor to JAN3. In this conversation, he unpacks the moment the 2008 crisis revealed the flaws in fiat money, his early dismissal of Bitcoin, and how conviction finally took hold in 2018. We discuss the launch of Syz's Bitcoin-denominated fund, the internal resistance it faced, and how it became the firm's most successful product launch. Richard explains why “one Bitcoin equals one Bitcoin” and why he believes Bitcoin treasury companies act as the release valve for a mispriced financial system. We explore his views on ego in finance, intuition in decision-making, spiritual dimensions of Bitcoin, and his conviction that Bitcoin represents not just an investment—but hope, and a benevolent force for human progress.► If you got value, please like, comment, share, follow and support my work. In this powerful episode of Pushing the Limits, Lisa Tamati sits down with visionary entrepreneur, Bitcoin OG, and author of The Price of Tomorrow — Jeff Booth. Jeff shares his profound insights on why our current financial system is breaking under the weight of exponential technological deflation and debt-driven inflation, and why Bitcoin offers not just an alternative — but a path toward hope, truth, and sovereignty. Together, they explore how exponential technology is rewriting the rules of economics, why central banks can't stop printing without collapse, and what a deflationary future built on sound money could mean for humanity's evolution. Booth's clarity on macroeconomics, human nature, and the moral imperative of Bitcoin offers a deeply philosophical — yet practical — roadmap for navigating the coming decade. If you've ever wondered how innovation, integrity, and decentralised systems intersect to redefine the future of money and freedom, this episode is essential listening. But, when you are fluent in Street, Hustling, Broke Money, and Wall Street it becomes the twist no one ever expected. Wallstreet Trapper comes from a troubled past that includes being homeless at 14 and serving 10 years in prison by the age of 16. What he has learned over the years reaches far beyond knowing how to trade stocks and build wealth. His super power is speaking Wall Street in a language that correlates to the same losing game he played on the streets that ended with being shot, in jail or in prison for nearly everyone he knew. His wisdom and willingness to share and make an impact is affecting future generations and bringing Wall Street to the hood, proving that human potential is truly nearly limitless when you put knowledge to use. “The Truth About Money” explains money as a tool for the measurement of value. Value is based on equity and created through work which is value added to assets. Equity can be and is measured in the form of preferred shares. As a monetary unit preferred share is contracted to prefers and designated by the symbol ₽. Herein is described a system in which work is exchanged for prefers. The use of a currency issued on the basis of equity, stabilizes the economy and eliminates the need for interest payments and state regulations. Employment is guaranteed through a guild-based system with Citizen Assemblies allocating resources to ensure all necessary work is performed. The utilization of equity backed currency creates a system in which money is nothing more than a tool for tracking exchanges. Preferred shares have no intrinsic value, reducing the risk of theft and fraud while creating a stable and unemployment free economy.
In this episode, Randy was a guest on 'Success Through Connections', and wanted to share this show with his listeners and followers.---Welcome back to Success Through Connections—I'm Zelda, and today I'm checking a big one off my “someday” list. Two decades ago I watched Randy Gage light up a room at the Florida Speakers Association. He was a phenomenon then; he's a phenomenon now. Not the glossy, “just manifest it” kind—the real, sometimes uncomfortable truth-telling kind.In this episode, Randy and I dismantle prosperity myths and rebuild them with brick, mortar, and doing the work. You'll hear how a kid who didn't know professional speaking existed became a global voice on success and prosperity—by training teams on a whiteboard, writing (and rewriting) ideas until they held water, and betting on himself with bold, prudent risks. We talk about:Why positive thinking alone won't create wealth and what actually willThe daily habits Randy swears by to keep his energy, focus, and success on trackThe biggest money lie people tell themselves that keeps them strugglingHow to tell the difference between a risk worth taking and one that will hold you backWhat prosperity really means beyond just making more moneyThis isn't about quick fixes or sugar-coated advice. It's about looking honestly at how you think about money, success, and the life you're building. If you've ever felt stuck between surviving and thriving, Randy shares a perspective that might be the shift you've been looking for.
Send us a textThe economic revolution we've been waiting for isn't just coming—it's already here. In this eye-opening conversation, Steve Clegg brings decades of financial expertise to explain how artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency are fundamentally restructuring global commerce by eliminating the layers of middlemen that have traditionally absorbed 20-30% of transaction value.Clegg's journey through international finance began in 1974 when, as a 24-year-old University of Chicago graduate, he wrote a paper identifying the three fundamental challenges of global commerce: exchange rate fluctuations, interest rate differences, and local pricing disparities. That paper caught the attention of Federal Reserve Chairman Arthur Burns, launching Clegg into a career managing foreign exchange for major corporations. Now, nearly five decades later, he's watching cryptocurrency solve those exact problems he identified as a young economist. What makes this discussion truly compelling is how it connects technological innovation to fundamental economic principles. "There's no such thing as one-hand clapping," Clegg explains. "It requires two people exchanging goods and services." This core transaction—buyer and seller—has remained constant throughout human history, but the systems built around it have grown increasingly complex and extractive. AI and blockchain technology are now enabling a "great inversion," where technology supports rather than exploits commerce. The implications extend far beyond finance. Manufacturing cycles have compressed from years to just seven months. Energy production is becoming decentralized through mini nuclear reactors. Local food production via hydroponics eliminates transportation costs that typically account for 50% of food prices. These advancements suggest a future where communities can become more self-sufficient economic entities.Whether you're a business owner concerned about staying competitive, an investor trying to understand market trends, or simply someone wondering how these changes will affect your career, this conversation provides valuable perspective on navigating the most significant economic transformation of our lifetimes. The question isn't whether these changes are coming—it's whether you're prepared to adapt. In this final track of the As a Man series, Izzy Baker sits down with Stoy Hall, a seasoned financial expert, educator, and host of the No BS Wealth Podcast, for an unfiltered conversation about one of the most triggering topics for men—money. But this isn't just about dollars and cents. It's about mindset, habits, and identity. They begin with a direct question: “As a man, why don't you have any money?” But quickly, the conversation digs deeper. Izzy and Stoy expose the “broke man syndrome” that keeps many men stuck—hiding financial struggles, making poor money decisions, and pretending to have it all together. Stoy, who has helped countless clients navigate financial confusion and reclaim their wealth, shares his journey from financial mistakes to smarter money decisions. Together, they unpack the shame cycle that traps men in secrecy, the worst money mistakes they've made, and why financial stress is directly tied to anxiety and low self-esteem. According to the National Library of Medicine (2022), financial stress can trigger anxiety, depression, and self-doubt—proof that money is more than just math. They explore why chasing “big money” is a trap and how true financial freedom is a mindset.Stoy breaks down the practical strategies and mindset shifts that helped him go from broke to financially stable, emphasizing the power of discipline, delayed gratification, and strategic investing. Send us a textMoney wounds run deeper than an empty bank account. They're energetic imprints left by those who weaponized financial control against your self-worth. When narcissists devalue you, they're not just attacking your character—they're severing your connection to abundance.Financial struggles after toxic relationships aren't random. They result from absorbing the silent message that you don't deserve more. Your nervous system, wired for survival, makes it hard to trust yourself, recognize opportunities, or believe in your capabilities. This isn't your fault—but it is your responsibility to heal.Survivors who release the weight of devaluation see their finances shift. They land higher-paying jobs, start businesses, or attract unexpected income. And here's the truth—these shifts don't come from financial strategies alone. They happen when you heal the four core pillars that determine whether money flows or stagnates:✨ Spiritual: Releasing subconscious beliefs implanted during devaluation. ✨ Certainty: Replacing doubt—the #1 block to financial miracles—with unshakable faith in your worth. ✨ Alignment: Tuning into your higher self through prayer—not just asking for money but receiving guidance on your next steps. ✨ Action: Moving beyond trauma-reactive choices into aligned, purposeful action.Healing isn't passive. It's about clearing the emotional blocks that stand between you and abundance—lifting each weight of fear, shame, and doubt, and setting it aside. The work is challenging, but what's on the other side isn't just financial freedom—it's the full reclamation of your power. And remember: no one devalues someone unless they are valuable to begin with. Your worth is untouchable. When you reconnect with that truth, financial transformation isn't just possible—it's inevitable. The question isn't whether you're capable of abundance—you've already proven your strength by surviving. The real question is: Are you ready to release what's blocking you from receiving what's already yours?Support the showResources Section Ready to heal from toxic relationships and reclaim your power?Join Dr. Amen Kaur as she shares tools to help you heal from toxic trauma. We are all stuck in a money cage. Money isn't the most important thing, but it is a thing and you can't get away from it. Birth costs money and death costs money. So even if you hate talking about money, you need to know the basics, the same way you need to know how to cook yourself a simple meal. The problem with most money books is that they are not written by practitioners and avoid hard truths. Paul Podolsky's The Uncomfortable Truth About Money: How to Live with Uncertainty and Learn to Think for Yourself (Harriman House, 2024) breaks down walls around financial knowledge. What a weathered investor knows is that stocks are not always good for the long run. They know that being stingy helps accrue wealth. They know the big thing when you buy property has nothing to do with the property. They know the big thing is less what happens to the markets in a day than if the entire system holds together. And they know what to look for if it's time to pull out. That's what this book will teach you: a lifetime of money learnings distilled to a thin volume, like a basic cooking recipe you can follow. Paul Podolsky writes about macro–politics and money. For many years, he was the strategist and equity partner at the largest hedge fund in the world. Previous to that, he worked as a reporter. As a sort of "Re-Boot" for The Leftover Pieces; Suicide Loss Conversations podcast after taking the last 6 weeks of 2024 "off" I am choosing to 'start over' this way .... please listen weekly to Down the Rabbit Hole episodes dropped at the start of each week and / or listen daily to these readings from The Daily Stoic-- nuggets as I call them -- of wisdom passed along from Ryan Holiday. Stephen Hanselman and the ancient Greek Philosophers such as Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus and Seneca. I hope you will do both. I hope you will consider journaling along with me. I hope it provides some inspiration, even motivation to keep going, to how we do what we do, to why we do what we do in moving forward 'after'...I hope it is a tool that you (like me) might find useful in your life after loss by suicide. The following is an excerpt directly from the book -- they are not my words and are placed here as a sample to help you journal. The full book must be purchased to follow along all year. I am ONLY doing this in January (on the podcast).TODAYS READING January 23 - THE TRUTH ABOUT MONEYGet your own copy of The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday & Stephen Hanselman**“I will keep constant watch over myself and—most usefully—will put each day up for review. For this is what makes us evil—that none of us looks back upon our own lives. We reflect upon only that which we are about to do. And yet our plans for the future descend from the past.” —SENECA, MORAL LETTERS, 83.2"In a letter to his older brother Novatus, Seneca describes a beneficial exercise he borrowed from another prominent philosopher. At the end of each day he would ask himself variations of the following questions: What bad habit did I curb today? How am I better? Were my actions just? How can I improve? At the beginning or end of each day, the Stoic sits down with his journal and reviews: what he did, what he thought, what could be improved. It's for this reason that Marcus Aurelius's Meditations is a somewhat inscrutable book—it was for personal clarity and not public benefit. Writing down Stoic exercises was and is also a form of practicing them, just as repeating a prayer or hymn might be. Keep your own journal, whether it's saved on a computer or in a little notebook. Take time to consciously recall the events of the previous day. Be unflinching in your assessments. Notice what contributed to your happiness and what detracted from it. Write down what you'd like to work on or quotes that you like. By making the effort to record such thoughts, you're less likely to forget them.
