Jason Roberts, born in 1970 Sussex England he is the man behind Seven Below Zero. At an early age Jason took an interest in art both drawings and paintings, his influence being his mother. Also he started to take an interested in music mainly electronic music. Not being a great performer at school leaving at just sixteen years old. Jason sort out work with various temporary agency and found work. Not being content with everyday life in Sussex Jason joined the British Army at the age of seventeen and commenced his training later that year. Jason was one of the eighteen recruits out of seventy six that finished the training course. Being offered a choice of three postings abroad Jason decided to opt for a combat tour which lasted two years. He continued his time in the military and looked at this as a life learning experience. Changing his attitude toward life in general and upon leaving the military Jason returned to Sussex. Being fortunate enough to find employment he worked for a large international company and specialized in logistics. In 2002 he found himself taking a boat across the channel and headed toward France to help his mother find a house there. To this day he is still there and what a journey it had been. Jason started to write poetry and was published in the UK and over time his love of music inspired him to try making music himself. The progression from art, poems to music just seemed natural. Jason was spotted by an Italian record label early on but during time the record label seemed to just become stagnant. So back to being an independent artist Jason got back to work on some new projects. After experimenting with some drum and bass style tracks Jason slipped into experimenting with more ambient and cinematic tones. His style is a mix of cinematic, ambient soundscapes and random synthesizers. Upbeat drums and random drum samplings wrap up his tracks. During 2018 Jason’s fan base started to increase generating over seven thousand fans on his facebook page. During 2019 whilst working on a twenty four track album he was rewarded with over ten thousand radio plays via an online music community. D.R.O.P.S is a recently formed collective of three like-minded, forward thinking musicians, Teksteppa, Cemtek and Arookai, with very different musical pasts. The sum of these parts equals a deep techy party vibe. Teksteppa has been producing DnB for a number of years, with releases on Blue Cheese Records, UKDNB and more. Recently his releases have gained DJ support from S.P.Y, Optiv, Muffler, AMC, Mutated Forms, Danny Wheeler, Hazard and Mind Vortex, amongst others. He has had tracks top out at numbers 11 and 32 in the Drum & Bass Arena charts.Teksteppa is a force to be reckoned with and it seems that this is just the beginning for him. Arookai AKA Mike Smythy has been heavily involved with the music industry for years and, although relatively new to DnB, has had countless releases on highly respected labels in other genres. He is an important part of the freeform hardcore scene, has had mixes featured in the top 5 dance compilations on iTunes and has played all over the UK. Arookai is a music junky, regardless of genre. Expect eclectic twisted sounds coming from his direction this year! Cemtek AKA Scott Geden is a purveyor of dirty, techy basslines and FX fuelled atmospheric naughtiness. When he is not glued to his studio he is usually found on the decks and has an extremely keen ear for music. His musical past has taken him through numerous production courses and after years of producing hip hop he has slowly moved towards DnB. Cemtek will become a name to look out for. Collectively they spend every waking minute in the studio, they have bookings coming up in London, Bristol and Stratford upon Avon and will be looking to release some serious sounds this year! A series of hot gigs across the Southwest also earned him a nomination as Best Southwest DJ at the 2009 Southwest Drum & Bass Awards. Grafix originates from from Exeter in Devon and studies music production at Bath Spa University, and has been producing Drum and Bass for several years. Josh's reputation seems to be growing everyday and is recognized as one of the Southwest's leading up and coming producers. As new members of the Grid Recordings label, they are currently flying around the world to play at the biggest Drum N Bass clubs and festivals. They have a discography that already includes several Drum & Bass classics and having worked with Estonian singer Lenna Kuurmaa in their debut "Homesick" or "Loomeinimesed" in Estonian at the Eesti Laui 2009 song festival. Original members Alexander (Zub), Artiom (G-ruff) and Alex H started experimenting with different genres of electronic music using any and all software they could find. It was at the beginning of 2004 when MF's tunes first began appearing on various drum and bass CD-compilations. During the course of 2004 they released an album on Prosvet Records, a Russian label, called MF Project No Limits'. The album was mostly jump up tunes but also consisted of liquid funk and a few experimental tracks and was well received by the drum and bass audience and critics, gaining the MF team further recognition. Then in 2005 they released again on an experimental label called Exegene Records. In recognition of their up-coming talent, UK drum and bass pioneer and label boss of the mighty Formation Records, Dj SS began keeping a close eye on their music and progress. It was their track My Feeling that finally got released on the Formation powered imprint World Of Drum'n'Bass Records catapulting the trios music further towards the mainstream of drum and bass music. Not content at reaching this goal, quickly followed a release on Formations sister label New Identity, proving their value as international drum and bass artists. Their studio productions are individually unique, never reliant of formulaic trends, each being notably different from the last, but all in all sprinkled with that distinct Mutated Forms magic.
