With the new year comes a new surge of energy for me to GET MY LIFE IN ORDER! My kids always laugh at me when I get these bursts of motivation because they never last. Flourish-Meant: You Were Meant to Live Abundantly

Have insecurity or other fears held you back from fulfilling your purpose? Today's episode faces the ageless issue of fear and how you can become emboldened to overcome the obstacles to fulfilling your dreams. Amy Debrucque, founder of the Life on Purpose Movement and host of the Life on Purpose Podcast, shares her story of overcoming years of severe anxiety to become a resource of hope for others. She and her daughter wrote a book on the steps from imprisonment in fear to living an emboldened and purposeful life. Amy shares specific keys to becoming fearless and therefore equipped to live out potential. She notes the importance of taking a pause to evaluate the barriers holding you back from your next brave step toward God's calling.  We explore the power fear maintains when we entertain our worries in the silence of our minds. If we name our fears and obstacles, the power of their hold over us lessens.  Amy and I discuss how fear lies to us. First, anxiety magnifies negative outcomes. The exaggeration escalates and convinces us that the things we fear are more powerful than God's ability to equip or rescue us.  Debrucque mentions the following steps of kindness and resisting temptation. She also emphasizes the need to evaluate whether each action we take will serve to embolden or hinder us with regard to fulfilling God's purpose.  We discuss the importance of stepping out of comfort zones, noting the simple win of showing up in obedience. Fear deceives us into believing we are better off if we don't even try. But we're not. No risk means no growth. No growth means we never live to fulfill our purpose. Amy recommends taking an inventory of what you've already done to step out of your comfort zone. Identify and celebrate the victories behind you to move forward with greater confidence.  Debrucque relates her mission to help women recognize their worth and potential. Amy hopes you will not be discouraged. She also encourages women to reach out to those who need support. Today Pete speaks to Alexander Inchbald, British born but currently living in Switzerland. Alex helps people learn to love what they do. He helps individuals, teams and organizations seize this historic opportunity in an ever-changing world and step into a new reality. He helps them by creating a solid foundation to forge their ‘masterpiece’. He does this through coaching, creating workshops and programmes as well as through his artwork.   KEY TAKEAWAYS A masterpiece is the greatest thing you can create for yourself, for your family and to society. Alex always felt he was a creative but followed what his father wanted him to do and really struggled with life. He got the job he thought he wanted but was miserable, when he was then made redundant he hit rock bottom but a series of events lead him back to painting. Alex now paints in extreme locations, he says this is what taught him to creative everywhere. We are living through the greatest transition since The Industrial Revolution. The institutions upon which the modern world was created - health, finance, education, military - are dissolving around us. This can be disconcerting and disorienting. However, nature abhors a vacuum. So, what world would you like to fill the space being created? The last time we had an opportunity of this magnitude was after 9/11. We missed the opportunity then, because we didn't have the tech or the mindset to take advantage of this opportunity but now we do. We all have an ‘outer’ and an ‘inner’ game. The outer game is our identity, we access this through our five physical senses. As a society we mostly focus on this outer space, the physical, what we can see. The inner game is the ‘sixth sense’, our intuition. The key to unlocking our inner game is via purpose.  BEST MOMENTS  “Everyone has a masterpiece in them” “Everyone is an artist today, but not necessarily the artist who paints, the artist who sculpts, or writes” “Is one season more powerful than another? No. But are we neglecting one season? Yes” “A lot of gurus say to empty your mind. Are you setting goals, creating your to-do list and taking action in an aligned way with your top priorities? The truth is, most people believe the lie that their number one priority takes up the most time. On this episode of The Everyday Mind Podcast, I talk about how to make sure you are moving towards what is most important to you. With 15 minutes and a quarterly review, you will be on the path towards the things that you really want.  “If you know your priorities you are going to get more time to do the things that are important to you because it takes power away from doing things that aren’t important to you.” Naphtali Roberts
