Galway United will park their Men's Premier Division form this season as they focus on getting back into an FAI Cup semi-final for the first time since 2023 when they travel to St. Patrick's Athletic this Sunday (14th September 2025). United's last league win was against the Inchicore outfit back in June. But they have had two victories since over Tolka Rovers and Salthill Devon. They've beaten St. Pat's twice in Eamonn Deacy Park this season but went down 2-0 on their last trip to Dublin. Galway's Eddie McCormack from Galway Bay Golf Club, Joe Lyons from Galway and Matt Donohue from Portumna have returned home following their performances with the Irish Senior Men's Team, who won the European Championship for the first time in eight years on Saturday. Following a stunning performance from Joe Lyons, who topped the individual leaderboard after the Strokeplay, Ireland beat Spain 4-1 in the Quarter Final, with McCormack a 4 and 3 winner over Gonzalo Paradinas. In the Semi-Final, Ireland were 3.5 to 1.5 winners over Finland, and on Saturday in the final, Ireland beat France 3-2, with Joe Lyons the big winner, beating Albert Galloy 2 and 1 in the deciding match. Portumna's Matt Donohue was the team's captain. All three spoke to John Mulligan on Over The Line.

With 6 changes from the side that faced Spain and strong players coming back into the starting XV, Bemand has shown they are going out to win this fixture.
