Explore your CI Futures options: http://completeintel.com/inflationbusterThis Week Ahead is a special episode because it was recorded live, with guests Albert Marko, Sam Rines, and Mike Smith, together with host Tony Nash in a face-to-face conversation. It's also the first time that we had a Twitter Spaces, joined by a few people and taking their questions.Gasoline prices have continued to decline here in the US. Since June, RBOB has been pretty much one way, sliding from ~$4.30 to $2.16. That's half. Of course, lower crude prices are a huge factor, but over the summer we were hearing all about refinery capacity. Is there more to it than the oil price? XLE vs crude – XOM closing in on 100, etc. How much of an impact is this having to help affordability given the broader inflationary environment?Inflation is proceeding unabated, as we saw Sam's newsletter this week. Some Goldman guy was out this week saying there may be a recession in 2023. Sam looked at the terminal rate in his newsletter this week. How would accelerated inflation or steepening of recession worries affect the Fed's actions? We had BOJ head Kuroda (who has been in the job for a decade) begin talking about Japan hitting its 2% inflation target. If that were to happen, how likely would the BOJ be to scale back is ultra-loose monetary policy? Impact on Japan's equity market, govt bonds, etc?Key themes1. How low will gasoline go?2. Inflation/Recession worries3. The day after Japan hits 2%This is the 45th episode of The Week Ahead, where experts talk about the week that just happened and what will most likely happen in the coming week.Follow The Week Ahead panel on Twitter:Tony: https://twitter.com/TonyNashNerdAlbert: https://twitter.com/amlivemonSam: https://twitter.com/SamuelRinesTracy: https://twitter.com/chigrlWatch this episode on Youtube: https://youtu.be/WK94po2V1rA

Everyone in the world could do with help with energy bills right now. The question is how did we get there in the first place?   Create an income online where you can take advantage of every economy in the world. Break the chains to being employed and join the break the chains community. Take a look around at different opportunities online and if your still stuck. Reach out send me a message. I love a challenge and I'm here to help Why Have The Worldwide Governments Got Into This Mess?   Who makes all the decisions all over the world? When every person needs help with energy bills, somebody is to blame for getting in this position in the first place. The government continue to make a mess of things. Not just over in the UK too. It's a world wide problem.   The UK currency is about to collapse. The US Dollar is in Danger Along with the Chinese housing market about to collapse the economy. How will this effect us – The tax payer.   The Global Recession The whole world is heading into recession, why? Lets start with the UK. Being in the UK myself and knowing some of the people who have to choose between eating or heating there home…. How did we get here? Who is to blame? Is it Putin for starting the war? Or the UK people wanting us to exit the European union?   Both of them and more. But who was in charge of all this? Who can give us the help with energy bills?  The government. With out last Prime Minister lasting as long as 45 days it seems even the government don't know what to do.   What Happened to The £ The value of the pound falling to its lowest level ever against the US dollar due to Liz Truss decisions when in power.   This has a huge knock on effect forcing the bank of England to intervene and raise interest rates, even more than it was planning.   Shooting up the interest on mortgages, where many people wont even be able to afford.   This effects everyone, even if you already have a mortgage. I have a friend who rents a property, the property has a mortgage on it. Recently they has to renew their mortgage, this would cost them and extra £200 on the mortgage payments.   The options they has was to increase the rent of the tenants, passing on the burden of the interest increase or pay the mortgage off. Which will add to them also needing help with energy bills.   There will be some people who haven't got option one.   Therefore have to increase the rent £200.   So for a family who is renting, maybe trying to save to be able to afford to get their own mortgage – this pushes them back even further! You can exactly go to your employer and say – my rents gone up, can I have a rise to cover it?   Even if you had a nice boss that would give you that rise, can they afford it?   Its Not Only People Who Need Help With Energy Bills   The fuel prices that are sky high, along with the energy prices. Its not only a problem for the people, it's a big problem for business too.   If you think of builders. The cost of materials went up a few years ago, they never came back down. This put the cost of work up builders did for the customer.   With how scared people are with the way the economy is, many people are deciding to put the building work on hold.   Then the small business owners who have purchased equipment cant afford to keep up the payments – so sell it. This makes it harder to keep the business going. In the end the business closes, the owner has no choice but to claim benefits from the government. All this is from the decisions of a Prime Minister of 45 days!   I'm interested to see how we can climb out of this hole the UK is in.   Needing Help With Energy Bills & Food Lets move on to the US.   The inflation in the US is the highest its been in 40 years!

Recession 2022: How It Affects Marketing and Advertising

There is no longer talk of a pending recession - the recession has arrived. With its arrival, it brought about hiring freezes, layoffs, rising interest rates, and companies attempting to minimize their overhead. As more and more companies become reactive to the situation, it is clear this will have an impact on the marketing industry and the marketers that make it up. As companies lay off talent, hiring would become easier if it were not for the economic raincloud over the country. Companies are still advertising but doing so with great caution and consideration in regard to their ad budgets. Eventually, we may see a change in the cost per click (CPC) due to potential changes caused by this recession. As with any disruption, companies and marketers alike will need to pivot and implement strategies that will allow for success in difficult times. In this week's Digital Marketing Mondays, Hans and Devin discuss how digital marketing is being affected by the recession, speculate on what the next few months may look like for the marketing industry, and discuss strategies for navigating what's to come.

U.S. stock futures changed overnight, coming off a positive week for the major averages, as traders brace for the busiest week of corporate earnings, as well as insights into further interest rate hikes from the Federal Reserve. There are still more earnings to come this week as the market prepared for the results. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slid 45 points, or 0.14%. S&P 500 futures dipped 0.11% and Nasdaq 100 futures dipped 0.01%, respectively. On Friday, the major averages fell on the back of weaker-than-expected earnings from Snapchat ($SNAP) that sent tech shares tumbling. The Dow lost 137.61 points, or 0.43%. The S&P 500 declined 0.93% to 3,961.63, while the Nasdaq Composite traded 1.87% lower at 11,834.11. The World Health Organization has activated its highest alert level for the growing monkeypox outbreak, declaring the virus a public health emergency of international concern. The rare designation means the WHO now views the outbreak as a significant enough threat to global health that a coordinated international response is needed to prevent the virus from spreading further and potentially escalating into a pandemic. Convenience store chain 7-Eleven has cut roughly 880 corporate jobs in the United States. This is a trend that we are starting to see in the market as more companies begin to restructure and cut costs to prepare for a rough economic future ahead.

With the pending recession of 2022 right around the corner, now is the time to think about your marketing campaigns and where your money is going. Many companies run fluff campaigns that produce nothing quantifiable; it is essential to actively collect data that is accurate & current to combat waste. This data will be the foundation on which you can make decisions going forward. It's a great time to review your data, determine which campaigns are unnecessary, and decide whether it makes sense to end them or make changes. This is not to say, however, that you should stop marketing and hold onto your money. Doing so will guarantee you have no new traffic through paid campaigns, and this fear response may very well squeeze the cash flow out of your business. One of the biggest benefits our clients get by working with our agency is that we've been around for over two decades. This will not be the first recession that we navigate for ourselves and for our clients. We've found that with fewer people are advertising, the cost per click is likely to drop. What many people see as an issue can also be viewed as a huge opportunity with the right perspective and experience. In this week's Digital Marketing Mondays, Hans and Devin discuss the upcoming recession, its effects on digital marketing, and what you should consider for your ad campaigns moving forward.

Everyone wants to know how to invest during a recession. We get it—things aren't looking too good. Inflation is crossing all-time high territory, your rent is going up and so are interest rates, and many investors are wondering if a stock market crash is on the horizon. It's normal to be scared, but it's even smarter to do something while all the other investors are trapped in analysis paralysis. If you do want to invest, what should you do?We're back with another bonus episode of On The Market where we're tackling the not-so-simple question, “should I invest in 2022?” If you think a bunch of real estate investors are biased, you may be right, but we'd highly encourage you to listen to the very end of this episode, as each guest on our expert panel explains why they're doing what they're doing and why you should try it too.Recessions are traditionally when much of the population loses money, but it doesn't have to be that way for informed investors. A world of opportunity is waiting for you, even if you have no money or experience going into this year. If you take what our expert guests say to heart, there's a good chance you'll not only make it out alive in 2022, but you'll also have a lot more wealth than when you started. In This Episode We CoverJuly housing market updates and what has happened since the start of the yearIs the housing market starting to cool? Benchmark #5 focuses on saving above and beyond your emergency fund in order to be sure you are putting money aside for aspects that align with what matters in accordance with your vision. The what is more important than the how and how much in defining what you are saving for and why. Your savings goals will vary greatly from your neighbor, so setting the goal of saving, how much you will then save over what time, then setting the next goal to accomplish will ensure you are always working toward something and moving forward. Margin Membership Sign-up: https://millennialmargin.com/learn/How are your finances doing? Legal marketing in a recession! Ok, no one wants to hear the big R word, but we wanted to get out in front of it because with rising rates and inflation there is a good chance growth will turn negative this year. The key question is what does that mean for law firms, and for us what does that mean for law firm branding and marketing! In this show Mike dives into three key factors that firm owners need to remember, how to best prepare and the key to pivoting messaging during any time of uncertainty. Historically, recessions and downturns have been great for brands who stay committed to their medium and long-term goals and act strategically, not just reflexively.

Inflation, Recession, Interest Rates, the FED... There's a lot of chatter around the economy and housing. Housing's combined contribution to GDP generally averages 15-18% of the GDP, that's everything from actual purchases to building, to insurance, to mortgages, to the commission, building material, etc... There's a lot at play when it comes to real estate in the United States so let's take a look at what is going to happen over the next few months. Famed economist Robert Shiller says there is a ‘good chance' of a recession https://fortune.com/2022/06/08/recession-prediction-economist-robert-shiller-inflation-consumer-confidence/ After 7 straight quarters when Americans got richer, household net worth just fell by $500 billion https://fortune.com/2022/06/09/total-household-net-worth-falls-500-billion-bear-market-inflation-federal-reserve-financial-accounts/#:~:text=Specifically%2C%20it%20fell%20by%20%240.5,they%20were%20six%20months%20ago. Real Estate Realities With Robert

Initial indicators are in and suggest we prepare for 'Recession 2022'! Are we in a recession? Right now, we have hit declining GDP for the first quarter. Indicators are there, but for many we are not 'officially' in a recession. However, the question is not will be hit a recession at this point, but when. What is a recession? Big declines in economic activity. Big slow downs in economic activity can have broad effects. With low activity comes lower needs for employees to do what they would normally do when the economy is healthy due to lower demand.  Goods and services produced drop. The stock market loses value and unemployment rates tend to go up. Recessions are normal. Recessions happen regularly. It is how severe a recession is that indicates how painful it will be for the average person. Recessions can turn into depressions. Recessions usually hit their worst point within 10 months then go into recovery. A depression is a deep, painful, long lasting recession. Calm preparation is the best tool. Buyers, investors and home owners can not only survive in a recession, but thrive. It can give an excellent window of time to acquire real estate and better prices.
