They are inspiring and entertaining, and the market seems to validate that.  On the other hand, Dad argues that nobody is worth that amount of money, especially when their contribution to society, according to him, is not as significant as other careers. That's where growth happens. The path to success requires us to step outside of our comfort zones and push ourselves to new limits. Have you ever misinterpreted what someone said? We all have. Miscommunication can be complex and lead to all sorts of trouble, and what we SAY isn't always what someone HEARS.Understanding how this works and why it happens can be useful in both personal and professional relationships. In this episode, Eddie and I explored why what we SAY and what someone HEARS can be profoundly different.A core reason for this is that we frame any communication from our own perspective, distorting the original message to fit within a certain context. We also discuss why it's so important to recognize that our own perception is not necessarily the same as the other person's.Communication lies at the heart of every relationship. Whether it's with our friends, family, colleagues, or strangers, we need to be aware of how our words are received. We need to be mindful of the contexts we communicate and be open to different interpretations.Only then can we truly build meaningful and lasting connections with those around us? As we grow older, it's natural to reflect on the past and reminisce about the good old days. Nostalgia is a powerful emotion that can evoke fond memories and feelings of happiness and comfort. It's no wonder that we tend to look back on our youth with rose-colored glasses and idealize the past. However, there's a fine line between cherishing memories and romanticizing the past to the point of losing touch with reality. As we age, we may feel a sense of loss or fear of the unknown. We may also worry about losing our relevance and connection to the world, especially as technology and culture change rapidly. But romanticizing your hay days can lead to stagnation and the inability to grow and learn new things.
