On today's episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy, Chris and Sids are back to it giving their hot take on all the biggest events in football over the past seven days. It is a bittersweet record today for the lads, the first time they have been reunited since the news of the passing of Sven-Göran Eriksson - the man who gave Peter his big break on the international stage and universally admired by football fans around the globe. In December, it was announced that Starky had received a 13-month sanction from Ironman for using a banned inhaler after getting pneumonia—and much of our conversation today is understandably about the circumstances around his use of the prescribed inhaler and how the process worked, or didn't, for him. It's important to note that Ironman has said they followed all rules and regulations laid out by the World Anti-Doping Agency and by the US Anti-Doping Agency. It's also important to note that no one involved is disputing the basic facts of what happened: Starky got pneumonia and was prescribed an inhaler in order to recover from the illness, and then raced Ironman Florida. No one appears to think or suggest that he was attempting to cheat. What is at question is if the letter or the spirit of the rules were broken. This episode is with none other than Ben Hobbs – one of the funniest, most controversial characters in the triathlon and endurance sports world. You may know him as “The Real Starky”. Ben started off as “just another guy” – another age group triathlete. As a joke, he began a parody Twitter account that poked fun at triathletes, and this snowballed into something much bigger – a blog, a very popular podcast, and eventually a legitimate news website that competed with major publishers in the triathlon space. However, after several years of making content, it all stopped rather suddenly. The podcasts trickled off, the articles stopped, and everyone started to wonder what happened. Where is The Real Starky and what is he doing now? Why did he stop? Is he ever going to come back? What about Ben’s side project, The Ben Hobbs Podcast (which, incidentally, was outstanding). Well, folks – now is your chance to hear the full update. Ben and I talked for about an hour, and caught up on all-things-TRS. Davey Rabinowitz found his passion for cuisine as a chef at Starky’s, one of Bozeman, Mt’s most popular restaurants. He moved to Bozeman to attend college but he soon found that cooking would be his future. Davey knew he wanted to build a life in Bozeman, but he wanted to do it as a chef. From Montana, he left for Portland, Oregon and completed formal training at Le Cordon Bleu. He gained further experience in some of the city’s finest restaurants, such as Castaña and Departure, where he was honored with the 2013 San Pellegrino Award and the West Coast “Almost-Famous Chef” Award. Before heading abroad, Davey apprenticed at Atera in New York then moved to Copenhagen to apprentice under renowned chef Christian Puglisi at Relae, the world’s most sustainable restaurant. In each position, Davey took careful note of what he would include in his own dining establishment. StaskY Nativo de Santo Domingo, 25 de enero de 1987. Fue allí donde su interés artístico desarrollados y donde su necesidad de “crear” a fin de expresar sus emociones se despertado.Desde muy joven, reconoce que le encanta escuchar y bailar la música más que cualquier otro niño de su edad. A la edad de 11 años, gracias a un amigo que estaba de visita en su casa y era adicto a la los beats electrónicos, Starky tuvo su primer encuentro con este estilo de la música.
