Elie Honig joined CNN as a legal analyst in 2018 and is the best-selling author of two books, Hatchet Man: How Bill Barr Broke the Prosecutor's Code and Corrupted the Justice Department and the latest, Untouchable: How Powerful  People Get Away with It, as well as the host of the podcast, Up Against the Mob. The 5-4 decision, with conservative justices John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh joining the three liberal justices, stunned legal experts. Few people know more about Vladimir Putin than Bill Browder. Browder, an investor and political activist, is the architect of the Magnitsky Act, which allows the US government to sanction foreign nationals who have perpetrated human rights abuses.  One of Browder's key allies in the passage of the Magnitsky Act was a fellow activist named Vladimir Kara-Murza.
