This week, we're chatting to Robert Whitlow, prolific writer of over 20 bestselling novels. His new one is 'Guilty Until Innocent', a legal thriller that looks an an old case being reopened, and the two lawyers who have to prove the convicted's innocence against the odds. His debut novel, 'The List', was adapted into a successful movie starring Malcolm McDowell. In fact, four of Robert's novels have been adapted for the big screen, and Robert still divides his time between writing and working as a local attorney. You can hear how he seperates his day, energy and creativity for that, and why he thinks the secret is to relax and be consistent... it's to discover your 'writing bio-rhythm'Faith plays a huge part in Robert's work, and we figure out why that is, how organic it can ever be, and whether he's bothered about how a reader's opinion towards religion might change with his writing. It's led him to win the prestigious 'Christy Award for Contemporary Writing' in 2001. He reveals why he loves editing, how he wrestles characters back to his ideas, and why he needs a few drafts to really figure out who his protagonist is.Get a copy of the novel - uk.bookshop.org/shop/writersroutineSupport the show -patreon.com/writersroutineko-fi.com/writersroutineSubscribe to the weekly newsletter - writersroutine.substack.com@writerspodwritersroutine.com Hosted on Acast. ECR Minerals, a gold exploration company with assets in Australia, is making significant strides in both its exploration activities and corporate transactions. The company recently welcomed Mike Parker as its new technical consultant, a seasoned geologist with nearly 40 years of experience in the exploration industry. Parker's extensive background includes working with major companies like First Quantum Minerals and leading projects in Africa and Latin America. Parker's addition to the team is expected to bolster ECR's technical capabilities, particularly in leveraging data to identify promising drill targets. His expertise will be crucial as the company advances its exploration efforts in Australia, including the tantalum-niobium pegmatite project in Lorth and ongoing diamond drilling at the Tambo site in Victoria. In a significant development, ECR's Victorian subsidiary, MGA, has attracted considerable investor interest due to its substantial tax losses, valued between AUD 18 million and AUD 22 million. The company has moved swiftly, with multiple parties entering the data room and signing confidentiality agreements. ECR is now in the process of selecting a partner to finalize the transaction, which could result in a substantial cash infusion for the company. CEO Mike Whitlow emphasized the importance of this potential deal, noting that the cash consideration would significantly enhance ECR's financial position and support its ongoing exploration projects. The rapid progress in negotiations has exceeded initial expectations, indicating strong market interest in the tax losses. Looking Ahead As the year draws to a close, ECR Minerals is poised for a potentially transformative period. The combination of strategic hires, promising exploration results, and the potential monetization of tax losses positions the company for significant growth. Investors will be keenly watching the developments, particularly any corporate transactions that could unlock substantial value. In summary, ECR Minerals is navigating a pivotal phase with a blend of technical expertise, strategic partnerships, and promising asset potential. The company's proactive approach and recent developments suggest a bright future, making it a stock to watch closely in the coming months. https://www.share-talk.com/ecr-minerals-aimecr-interest-for-its-tax-losses-and-updates-on-drilling-in-victoria/

Burt Whitlow - US Army Counterintelligence - Burt Whitlow is one of Pete's friends from their time at D Co, 165th MI Bn. They worked at the same field office in Hanau Germany. One of the things that's makes these shows so interesting is the era where these two counterintelligence agents were in the Army. The Cold War was over and getting further into the past. CI Agents were going more strategic. The US wasn't going to wars anymore. As the military sought to change CI the Dayton Peace Accords were authored. That means putting NATO troops on the ground in Bosnia-Herzegovina. In an instant, Burt and Pete's careers changed direct. Instead of civilian clothes and overseas strategic assignments, it was battle uniforms and the unknown of a NATO combat deployment. Whitlow joins Pete A Turner on the Break It Down Show. Two old spies sit down and talk about the work they did/do. We're looking around and it doesn't seem like anyone else is offering two actual field experience spies, talking shop. That's pretty cool!
