Thomas Price is the Director of Engineering of the Core Engineering division at the Standard where he focuses on the Core Applications and Enterprise Integration product teams. He was also until very recently responsible for the Application Security team at the Standard as well. Thomas started his career as a firmware developer and has slowly moved up the technology stack to desktop applications, mobile software and now enterprise software. He has spent a large portion of his career in regulated industries like medical devices, digital health, and insurance. He has also worked in commercial spaces like auto dealerships and storage servers. Most of his career has been in product development but now he is spending some time in IT driving the technology and platform transformation at the Standard. Thomas also sits on the Technology Leadership Committee at the Technology Association of Oregon as well as the Board and Steering Committee of the PSU/PDX Cooperative Education Program. He participates in one adventurous activity every year, which once included spending a weekend riding rodeo bulls, and this year will involve a Kayak/Camping trip through the San Juan Islands. Wei Wei is the VP of Engineering at FreeWheel. He has been working at FreeWheel since 2007 (Comcast acquired FreeWheel in 2013). Wei played various roles in FreeWheel across Engineering, Client Services, and Business Operations in his 10-year tenure. Currently, he leads a Big Data Engineering team in New York to build a Cloud-based Linear Viewership data platform to help grow Comcast’s advertising business and drive the unification of Linear and Digital advertising. Wei has been an active advocate of new technology such as Big Data and Cloud, and modern engineering practice such as CI/CD and Scaled Agile.
