    The Five Myths About Worry

Play Episode Listen Later May 6, 2024 24:41

Welcome, beautiful friends, to Episode 247 of "Be The CEO Of Your Life." Today, we're diving deep into the topic of worry. How many of you have found yourselves consumed by worry in the past five days? Or even in the past hour? It's time to challenge the myths surrounding worry and discover the truth behind this pervasive emotion. Myth #1: Worry Equals Caring: Many of us have been conditioned to believe that worry is a sign of caring. We've heard phrases like "I worry because I love you." But the truth is, worry does not equate to caring. We can be deeply caring individuals without allowing worry to control us. Myth #2: Worry Helps Us Prepare and Problem Solve: Contrary to popular belief, worrying does not help us prepare for or solve problems. It's like calling roadside assistance before you even have a flat tire. We cannot problem-solve for problems that haven't even occurred yet. Myth #3: Worry Motivates Us: We often convince ourselves that worry is what motivates us to take action. But in reality, we can choose to take action based on love and purpose, rather than fear and worry. Myth #4: Worry Protects Us from Negative Emotions: Many of us believe that worrying about bad things somehow lessens the impact if those things actually happen. But the truth is, worrying does not protect us from negative emotions. Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. Myth #5: Worry Prevents Bad Things from Happening: Lastly, we may cling to the belief that worrying can prevent bad things from happening. However, worrying about something does not have any influence on whether or not it will occur. Trusting in ourselves and our ability to handle whatever comes our way is far more empowering. Conclusion: It's time to break free from the grip of worry and embrace a life filled with trust, love, and purpose. Remember, changing our relationship with worry takes time and effort, but it is entirely possible with dedication and support. Join me inside "Reset Your Mindset" and let's embark on this journey together. Thank you for listening, and I'll see you next week. Ciao ciao!

Today's episode explores a topic that resonates deeply with both professional women and men: Imposter Syndrome. I invite you to only not identify this pervasive feeling of being a fraud, despite evident success; but to work on your own mindset to flip the script. Key Takeaways: Embrace Self-Awareness: Our journey starts with recognizing and acknowledging those imposter feelings. It's about differentiating between what's a fact and what's just a feeling. Remember, awareness is your roadmap to change. Reframe Your Perspective: Challenge those self-doubt narratives. Instead of questioning your belonging, affirm your unique value. Ask yourself, “What unique skills do I bring to the table?” This shift in perspective is crucial in transforming imposter syndrome into a source of empowerment. Normalizing & Overcoming: Understand that imposter syndrome often stems from societal pressures and our responses to success. It's okay not to have all the answers. Embrace your achievements and your journey. Let's cultivate a tolerance for success and recognize our extraordinary, unique capabilities. In this episode, we dive deep into the common challenges faced by working moms and explore practical strategies to find balance, overcome mom guilt, and prioritize self-care.  Key Takeaways: Prioritize Self-Care: It's not selfish to take time for yourself. In fact, it's essential for your well-being and the well-being of your family. Start by scheduling regular self-care moments into your calendar, and don't be afraid to ask for help or delegate responsibilities when needed. Remember, a well-rested and happy mom is a better mom. Normalize Asking for Help: You don't have to do it all alone. Reach out to your partner, family, or friends for support. Don't assume they know what you need; communicate your needs clearly. Building a network of support is not only beneficial for you but also sets a positive example for others to ask for help when they need it. Overcome Mom Guilt: Mom guilt is a common struggle, but it's not productive. Reframe guilt-inducing thoughts with self-compassion and gratitude. Celebrate your achievements and sacrifices as a mom and remember that it's okay to pursue your own interests and self-care activities. Your family will thrive when you do. This episode is a reminder that as a mom, you're not an octopus—trying to juggle everything at once. I am happy to be tuning in with you guys this week, I've got so much going on, in my own mind, and so many thoughts that I want to share with you guys, I've been taking lots of notes after my coaching sessions with my clients, just to see if I can find similar subjects of conversation, similar issues that my clients are struggling with. And two have struck me over the past few weeks. The first one is the sense of feeling of being neglected. And it comes hand in hand with feeling overwhelmed, where you begin to feel like you've got really no energy left to give anything to anybody. And you're feeling so depleted, that you begin to feel neglected, and you begin to look for who is neglecting you. And often those tend to be the closest people to us, that we point the finger at. So that's one of the things that I want to talk about today how to fulfill your cup. And then this other idea of finding the sweet spots in between spot in between being easygoing, but also high in high standards of, you know, living and work routine, and just boundaries and relationships. So like this duality that we might have some times in our mind where we're like, I'm either really easy going I'm really strict, and not really understanding, we're the in between eight, now I might be, I might be talking myself into two episodes.   Helpful links: Join Being the CEO here: https://olgasway.com/work-with-me/ceo-of-your-own-life/ Join Reset Your Mindset here: https://olgasway.com/reset-your-mindset/ Stress Reduction Course: https://olgasway.vipmembervault.com/products/courses/view/1155666/?preview=admin&preview_access=1155666 Instagram: @olgas.way.coaching Visit my Website: https://olgasway.com Join my weekly Newsletter: https://olgasway.com/newsletter/ Book a FREE Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/olgasway/discovery-call-15min

Today it's a rebirth in many ways. And so my wish for you, is that you give yourself permission to feel healthy remorse and to feel toxic guilt. And to be self aware of the difference and how those two things feel differently for you. And to choose from here own after you've done feeling it, so you still have to feel it. But then, you continue to choose to not go down the path of toxic guilt, because you deserve better.    That's kind of like a rebirth of how you operate if guilt is been an emotion that you feel often. Lately, I've been coaching women who feel this often, which is why I'm so motivated to share it with you.    I wanted to share with you a recent a part of a recent email that I've received that, quite honestly has brought me through through all the feelings, all these feelings, because it's one beautiful in nature with so much love towards me, but also because it highlights the impact that coaching has. And although I've been coaching for a long time, it never I never stopped being surprised by the reach of coaching into somebody's life.       ** Sign up for the ‘Should Detox'  PDF here: https://olgasway.ck.page/fbd7fcf10c  **   Helpful links: Join Being the CEO here: https://olgasway.com/work-with-me/ceo-of-your-own-life/  Join Reset Your Mindset here: https://olgasway.com/reset-your-mindset/  Instagram: @olgas.way.coaching Visit my Website: https://olgasway.com  Join my weekly Newsletter: https://olgasway.com/newsletter/  Book a FREE Discovery Call: https://calendly.com/olgasway/discovery-call-15min
