As an ND person herself, she is also a mom to three neurodivergent children, one of whom experienced early developmental trauma and is also autistic. Jennifer believes in the value of lived experience and that we must learn to meet children where they are, not where we think they should be. This shift starts a new path for any family to be able to experience growth, balance, and joy as individuals and as a whole relational system. The first step in this shift is curiosity. Curiosity leads to the connection that all humans need. See a child differently, see a different child- Dr. Stuart Shanker, PhD. Support the Show.

--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/malhete-podcast/message

When Imani Hill arrived at her new job, she learned that rather than a co-teaching position, she would be responsible for teaching six black boys with Individualized Educational Plans (IEP). The boys were currently spending their days in a conference room with the Assistant Principal. When Ms. Hill arrived, they were moved to a classroom where she was to be their teacher. The students' IEPs were not provided to her initially, nor was she given any guidance about the students' levels of functioning or what they needed to be working on. When Ms. Hill did receive copies of the IEPs, she saw that they were out of date. She also saw that the move from regular class placement to the segregated special education class was not documented, nor was there documentation of communication about this with the students' parents. In mid-January, Ms. Hill was asked to update the IEPs, but to backdate them to December. She refused. In this Facebook Live session, Imoni Hill will tell her story of working to assure that these boys received updated testing, updated IEPs, and the supports and services they needed and deserved. She will share the push back and retaliation she received from the school administration. As Ms. Hill tells the story of these six boys, Cheryl Poe, AASR's Director of Diversity Issues and the Founder and Executive Director of Advocating4Kids, Inc., will identify each action the school took that was against federal regulations. Ms. Poe and Ms. Hill will provide an update on what is currently happening in the efforts to assure that these six boys, who are referred to as "the Chesapeake Six" receive. Cheryl will share her experience working with the state Department of Education before and after Virginia received notification from the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) that the State was not exercising general supervisory and monitoring responsibilities in accordance with federal requirements.
- Michael Keaton gik så langt ned i rollen, at han senere begynder at hallucinere batman i sit virkelige liv. (Dokumentaren Birdman) - George Clooney havde uden tvivl de mest magtfulde brystvorter. - Christian Bale sagde "I'm Batman" totalt kodylt.- Og Batffleck pløkker kriminelle uden at tøve.

Forbered jeres øregange, for denne gang tager vi ud i fremtiden med: Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker!
I dag har vi nemlig set dokumentaren Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
Thanks for the kind words, for a change, Bro. Moyer at the top of the show! Welcome to Episode 60, with your regular hosts and special guest Bro. Matt Blaisdell, Creative Director for the Scottish Rite, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction (AASR NMJ). Matt talks about the recent update to the AASR NMJ’s logos and branding, we have a great conversation about the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction’s Path Forward and Masonry in general, but Larry’s mic broke, so you don’t have to listen to him as much, except for his “Message”… We’re taking bets. Anyway, Jason and Matt nerd out about their Erie, PA connection and hot dogs before Matt tells us about his involvement in DeMolay.
