Are you ready to unlock the wild wisdom of the animal kingdom? Let's journey through the mystical veil together, as we discover the power of spirit animals and their profound messages. This episode is a spiritual deep dive, an exploration into the symbolic tapestry of nature's wisest creatures, from the powerful bear to the vibrant pheasant. We will discuss the various aspects of our inner beings, such as animal guides who are powerful allies to self-awareness.In the heart of this adventure, you will be guided through a soothing meditation, helping to awaken your intuition and manifest your dreams through the ancient language of Sanskrit mantras. As we strengthen our bond with our own spirit animal, the doors to messages, healing and transformative power will be unlocked. We will also delve into the art of interpreting these messages through shamanic practices. I will further share resources like 'Animal Speak' by Ted Andrews, to help you deepen your understanding of your spirit animal. So, let's embark on this journey together, embracing the wild wisdom of our spirit animals. An inner animal guide or spirit animal can help you in your life, and give you qualities you desire to manifest.  An Inner Guide can be a source of inspiration, intuitive and heightened awareness.  These inner guides can be discovered deep in one's subconscious.  There are different types of Inner Guides such as: the Higher Self, Inner Healer, Inner Teacher, Inner Alchemist, Inner Warrior, Animal Guides as well as Past Life Personalities.  In this episode we will connect to an Animal Guide to offer messages and healing. This episode was inspired by A Bear.  In my Eastern Massachusetts seaside community and locally in other towns around there has been many sightings of a Bear or Bears.  Bears are not native to this area, only further west in Western Massachusetts or North in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.  The Bear visitations have created quite a stir in our local communities.  I asked a colleague who is very connected to indigenous and native elders to find out what the significance is of a bears being in places that aren't their natural habitat.  He told me the bear medicine shows change and transformation coming to those areas in which it is appearing.  I did some research and discovered more about bear medicine. We share our world with animals.  They can be our teachers about the lessons we are currently learning in life.  There are many interpretations of the symbolism of different animals we can find on the internet as well as in animal Medicine Cards, such as the deck by Jamie Sams or Messages from Your Animal Spirit Guides Oracle Cards:  Cards by Stephen Farmer, or  the Druid Animal Oracle deck The Druid Animal Oracle Deck by Philip Carr-Gomm , and Stephanie Carr-Gomm.Animals can give us messages, when we spot them in our day to day life.  It is especially important to note when an animal that is not native to an area shows up in your life, as did the bear down my street.  According to certain Shamanic practices, an animal needs to successively show up in your life 3 times or 3 of the same animal at once to be considered a messenger animal.  I often see three crows or ravens (when I'm out west) at a time. The Crow or Raven symbolizes the Planet Saturn known as Shani in Vedic Astrology.  So I always say “Hi Shani,” what you got for me today?  Usually something karmic is being burned off! So keep your eyes open for what Animal messenger is showing up in your life successively and then go google the meaning, or get some animal cards to interpret the lesson for you.www.jilljardineastrology.comSupport the show

I invite you to come back into being, to sit with me as we embark on the journey of great remembering. Remembering that we are not only the Little Brothers and Sisters to all that surrounds us, but also that we are them and they are us. They - we - have been waiting and watching for the moment to listen. The Animals have so much to share with us, not only wisdom but truth about ourselves. Even the most unexpected creatures, mundane and fantastic, offer up alliance if we are willing to sit and listen.   In this LIVE talk we discuss: •What is the difference between an Ancestral Ally, Lifetime Ally, and Situational Ally? •How can I identify my Allies? •How can I work with my Allies? •How can I honor my Allies?   About Casey Certain Casey Certain has felt deeply connected to the Blue Ridge Mountains of South Carolina since childhood and began welcoming the friendship and messages from the Animals since that time. Honing her skills through observation and education, she also works to collect and retell the Animals' cultural stories as they see fit. Her mission has been to aid in the universal process of learning, growing, and healing as we each acknowledge not only our own personal Divine existence but the Divine existence and connection of each and every other being. After serving youth who were from at-risk situations for seven years, Casey began to embrace her identity and role of not only teacher but healer in 2020. This episode is sponsored in part by Smalls Fresh Cat Food and Doobert.com. In 2017, Caron Tuttle answered a call for fostering help from a local rescue group in Pleasanton, Texas. Intending to foster one kitten, Caron left the shelter that day with five very sick kittens and one mama cat. Shortly thereafter, she and four friends founded Atascosa Animal Allies. Atascosa Animal Allies has since grown to provide a robust TNR program and a subsidized monthly spay and neuter clinic for community-owned pets. Stacy and Caron discuss the importance of sterilization in community cat populations and the value of inviting the community to take an active part in the process. This week, Tylor, Jordan, and Emma dive deep into the Hogwarts houses, and how the values attributed to each house correspond to its members’ approach to animal rights.   In this episode:   How Hufflepuff’s patience, justness, loyalty, constancy, and work ethic contribute to their work as activists. Newt Scamander and Cedric Diggory as examples of Hufflepuffs. Gryffindor recklessness and outspokenness, and how daring, nerve, chivalry and bravery help them command respect and use this to fight for the rights of others. Tylor shares the reasons he’s proud to represent Slytherin House, and why he thinks Slytherins and Ravenclaws are very similar in their approach to activism. The group discuss examples of good Slytherins, (because the series doesn’t give us enough to look up to!) Jordan and Emma discuss learning, communicating, individuality, and being a vegan Ravenclaw.   Does your Hogwarts house reflect or inform your approach to animal rights? Which characters do you see as the best example of their house? Are the Hogwarts Houses values-based? Let us know your thoughts by writing to us! How have you used your own Hogwarts house-based gifts to contribute to the animal rights movement?   We’ll return soon for another episode exploring animal rights in the Wizarding World, but in the meantime, be sure to send us your thoughts via email, leave a review, join our Patreon, and - on behalf of all magical creatures - Protego Maxima! Goddess Alive Radio is delighted to welcome back, Author and awesome Goddess Woman Walking, Maia Toll to talk about her amazing new book, The Illustrated Bestiary! For those of you that are familiar with her first book, The Illustrated Herbiary, you will LOVE the new book which again includes the evocative artwork of Kate O'Hara AND a set of cards in the back. Make sure you flash the cover in the sun too!Maia has chosen 36 "inspiring animals" to share in the book and each animal includes a description, a Ritual, and Reflection. As always, Maia is thoughtful and insightful, introducing us to some very specific forms of animal medicine. As an example, skunk is spotted skunk, bear is black bear, and cat is tabby cat. The detail and wisdom is fantastic and Maia makes connection with these allies easy.I collect quite a few decks, so I am especially appreciative that Maia not only drilled down for particular animals, but has also included some very unusual "animals". As a girl born and raised in Delaware, I could not be more tickled that the Eastern Oyster made an appearance! There is also a surprise in the deck that Maia and I talk about in the podcast.I would LOVE to hear what animals were a surprise and what animals really resonated with you!The Illustrated Bestiary is a must-have for those that love diving into the kingdom of our animal allies. It makes for a great holiday gift as well and so does The Illustrated Herbiary!ABOUT MAIA TOLL:Award winning writer Maia Toll has been many things— a horseback riding teacher, a clinical herbalist, and (oddly) a university professor— but by far her favorite title is author. Her best-selling Wild Wisdom series (The Illustrated Herbiary, The Illustrated Bestiary, & The Illustrated Crystallary) offers a glimpse into the knowings of the natural world and the wilds within ourselves. Maia contemplated these insights during her yearlong apprenticeship to a traditional healer in Ireland. Though apprenticeship sounds terribly romantic, it was most often lonely, leaving Maia plenty of time to listen to the ravens, roses, and rocks. She quickly learned that the world was a whole lot bigger than her human-centric upbringing had led her to believe. When not obsessively reading books and “talking” to trees, stones, and her two dogs, Maia drinks copious amounts of tea and helps run Herbiary, a multi-city natural wellness and sacred living store she owns with her partner Andrew. She teaches and blogs to an international following at maiatoll.com where she constantly reminds people that using critical thinking skills and talking to flowers are not mutually exclusive activities.

Hear what card I pulled today and the symbolism behind it. The description I read comes from two sources. The poster pamphlet that comes with the Animal Allies oracle cards and a book called Llwellyn’s Little Book of Spirit Animals. I break down the meaning in my own words and relate to my life. I hope you find your own connection with our animal guide today!

Over the years, there have been a number of significant events showing me that Owl is one of my power animals. As a primary totem, this bird brings the vibration of wisdom, cognizance, and knowledge. This totem is found in the east quadrant of the wheel of life lending clarity and perspective in order to know the truth in all matters. With its royal associations, indicolite is a stone of wise leadership which requires expanded awareness. Indicolite is blue tourmaline and has a very similar vibration to blue sapphire and gem-quality blue kyanite. If you have an inkling that Owl is one of your allies, take the time to connect deep within your consciousness. Trust yourself as you develop the ability to see, feel, know, and hear what lies beneath the surface. Follow your intuition. Pay attention to your dreams. If you don't have a habit of remembering your dreams then focus on what you feel and think when you first wake up. Inner guidance and knowledge are yours. Owl Affirmation: Knowledge and wisdom regarding secrets are revealed to me when needed. It's easy for me to see the unseen and hear the unsaid. I acknowledge and trust my intuition. When an animal appears repetitively and significantly in your path – in dreams, in nature, in cinema and TV, and all aspects of life – that animal is specific to that moment in time in your life.  In this podcast, we'll be uncovering what Fox medicine means when Fox shows up in your life. Hear a bit about the fox that shows up for meals in the backyard of Margaret Ann and Vincent (her hubby). Excerpt from Animal Totems and the Gemstone Kingdom regarding FOX: Contemplate This Is your assertive nature perceived as aggressive? Take the time to go within to find alternative solutions to achieve your goals. Calm your emotions in order to realign your perceptions and allow for objectivity and detachment. Open-mindedness releases the need to be aggressive. Use your memories and stores of inner knowledge as stepping stones on your future path. Allow your family and friends to provide you with care when you need it. Think outside the box, and create new circuits in the brain to help you arrive at solutions or new ideas. All creatures, great and small, in all species on this planet are interconnected. When an animal, insect, bird, or other creature from nature appears repeatedly, whether, in real life or dreams, it is time to pay attention and find the message that nature is bringing you. There are many teachings available to us through the observation of a particular animal totem and their habits and patterns.  The associated gemstone for each animal totem is a further indication of the energy of the animal as symbolism and a teaching on your sacred journey. Crystals, minerals, and stones hold the history of the Earth and all this planet has to offer you to evolve your soul and spirit in this incarnation. The color, formation, and the manner in which the stone grows in the Earth offers a teaching to know yourself and your life purpose. "I really want to minimize the amount of harm my choices cause every day... and do better and better." On this week's episode of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast, I sit down with the compassionate and positive Michael Broadhead. I am out in Singapore for the next few weeks, and through the connections of a previous guest on the podcast (Dan Stackhouse) I got hooked up with a number of vegans here in the country known as the little red dot. Almost everyone I spoke with directed me to Michael Broadhead. Michael is the founder of the charitable organization Animal Allies, as well as a local school teacher, and is a major leader in the vegan movement here in Singapore. We talk about how Michael went from growing up on a farm in rural Canada to traveling the world and winding up in Asia, what the vegan scene is like here in Singapore, the diabetes and other lifestyle disease issues in Singapore, the future of the vegan movement in the country, and much more. Michael is one of those people who you spend five minutes with and you feel like you've known him for years. He is one of the most travelled people I've ever met and it was an absolute pleasure getting to know him.

Susan Daffron talks to Dusty Rainbolt about a spayed female black angora cat named Sweetie who is available for adoption from the Animal Allies of Texas. Dusty is Sweetie's foster "mom" and has already taught this smart little kitty a few tricks like how to shake hands. Sweetie is about two and a half years old and at the rescue, they refer to her as the "WalMart Greeter" because she's incredibly social and friendly with everyone. She loves attention and is great with kids and other cats. Sweetie has striking yellow eyes that stand out against her gorgeous long black hair. She is solid black, except for a small white "heart" on her chest and white toes on her back feet. Dusty says that Sweetie is one of the smartest, nicest cats she has ever fostered. (And she has fostered quite a few kitties!) Won't you give Sweetie a chance to show you how sweet she really is?
