Happy Fourth of July! We hope you had a happy and safe weekend. Laura and Jeremy come with some very fresh complaints about noisy neighbors, and how the 4th of July gives people free reign to make ungodly noise at ungodly hours of the night. We then share two firework related murders, one a gang related murder of a Brooklyn resident over a firework dispute and the other a firefighter gone rogue in a multiple homicide. We end the night with our noisy neighbor hypothetical murders with an extension cord toaster electrocution and some good ole firework tampering. Happy Birthday America! Listen, subscribe, and tell us your most exasperating pet peeves! You can follow us on Instagram/Twitter @ddupcast or visit our website at DeathDoUsPartPodcast.com. Remember, while marriage is messy...murder is messier! Intro/Outro instrumental provided by CO.AG Music - https://youtu.be/l-JpnshJmlQ

What feels so good about being bad? For some anyway. We looked for the evil within us and name check Santa Claus, Hindustani Bhau, Hitler and also discuss whether hate can be manufactured in a lab. *Genesia's sound is really bad in some places. It's almost Fourth of July weekend and Andrew and Justin fittingly talk about changes to the state's fireworks law, including an interview with Sen. Judy Schwank (D-Berks). They also discuss the recent uptick in the state's COVID-19 cases and the difficulties Gov. Tom Wolf might encounter in enforcing his mask-wearing order. Like what you hear? Today, we talk about details for July 4th weekend!!! It's time for the fireworks!!!
We start off the episode by discussing the disappearance of Vanessa Guillen, who went missing from Fort Hood in April. Then we talk about the mysterious fireworks that have been (literally) popping off across the country, and delve into some theories about what it all means. On Saturday, May 22, 2010, authorities were called to the home of army veteran Sam Herr. The cold and lifeless body of Julie Kibuishi lay on his bed, apparently having struggled through a sexual assault that ended in a gunshot. Sam was nowhere to be found. The story seems pretty cut and dry; it was anything but. Daniel Wozniak was one convincing performance away from committing the perfect crime and walking off into the sunset. On this week... I've been very busy so this episode came together slowly over the course of a week. It's a good flow. I was surprised how well all the tracks came together. But it has everything from trap, boom-bap hip hop, funk, and grooves. One highlight would be the new single "I'm Sick" from Balming Tiger. I came across this guy unknowingly a while back when I found his acoustic version of "It G Ma" on YouTube. Now he performs under the name Balming Tiger and just released his debut single with a music video you should check out. He also has a previous project online, from which I played a song an episode or two ago, that you can check out on his bandcamp or soundcloud. So we'll keep it at that and enjoy! Even a rather embarrassing CONCACAF Champions League exit, some red cards and a couple league defeats since Ep. 143 can't put the RC crew in a bad mood. This episode sees our latest attempt in Understanding Esports. The Super-Special Guest showing incredible patience as we ask obvious questions was Deborah Mensah-Bonsu from Space Ape Games. We find out when the first ever esport happened and how Twitter changed the world of esports. In addition we try to see if you can deliberately design a game to be an esport. Ann then uses this information to make her own esport. Space Ape have made lots of games that can be classed as esports so Deborah was a good guest to have. But in order for their new game to become an esport we need one of the team to be a watcher. Which one will it be? Ste was back from Finland so as punishment we put him a cupboard with a dodgy microphone for the first half, Simon works out a new way to monetise the show by entering a competition and Ann tries to remember if she's played The Witcher before. But... does anything mean anything anymore at this point? Trump and the awkwardness that was the G20 summit. Finally, fireworks are super fun AND dangerous! Talk of banning fireworks in Utah because some yahoos almost burned down the state. Finally, Dan rants about town halls that take place in neither a town nor a hall.

Lanny & Scotty look back at a smelly week two, talk about some dubious distinctions & hand out a new award
Happy 4th of July y'all! We're celebrating by sharing all kinds of shenanigans of parties past. Rooftop fireworks, high emotions and PJ dressed as Sia's Chandelier dancer at a suburban Halloween party wherein no one was prepared for ALL OF THAT! Go ahead...
This week, part two of our look into Brian Epstein. We start by busting some myths common in the Beatles world. What involvement did Brian have with the trousers (and the rest of the suits?) We also discuss Seltaeb, Manilla, Robert Stigwood , and the "Our World" broadcast. A Splendid time is guaranteed for all.

Baby You're a Firework, Rogue Herpes and Botched Barbies
This week, Scav and Glo celebrate our nation's independence! They discuss fireworks safety and sometimes "lack-of", play another quick drinking game and so much more! HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!! http://www.facebook.com/thefakeassradioshow http://www.twitter.com/fakeassradio
We were joined this week by Sean Evans of the OMG Podcast and Omg Nexus, and he did not disappoint. If you are listening to this episode, it means we have thus far avoided elimination by North Korean forces. Get ready for a Zelda comic, 16 hours of sex in the Witcher 3, X-Men & Ghostbuster news and more. Netflixation this week was "The Interview", yes, that movie! This episode may be long, but it will not disappoint! Just ask yourself, "do you ever feel....like a plastic bag"....

It's weird when holidays fall in the middle of the week, because either you're kicking off a long weekend with the special celebration, or you're returning to work the next day with a fuzzy brain, a sunburn, and sand in your hair. We're in the latter situation this week at Pocketnow, the American portion of the team coming down from a day of BBQ and a night of fireworks, but in our case, it's a good thing. Because we love us some podcasting. We hope you do, too, because today's Pocketnow Weekly is quite possibly the longest episode ever recorded. Part of that is because we needed to catch up with chronic 'casting absentee Joe Levi, whose adventures providing crowd-control for last night's Utah fireworks gave us this week's show title. Another part is this week's listener mail section, which runs longer than twenty minutes and contains hardcore advice on how to deal with rooting and installing custom ROMs. And the rest of the extended run-time is due to Michael Fisher's absolute inability to discuss those latter elements of geek culture without stammering like a seventh-grader asking a high-schooler to the junior-high dance. Or something. But don't let that scare you away; we've got oodles of tech talk, polite disagreements, hearty guffaws, and no small amount of edited-out Skype failures, after the break. You ate your dinner and drank all your milk; you deserve the frosty Klondike Bar that is the Pocketnow Weekly Podcast. Send feedback, questions, and requests to podcast [AT] pocketnow [DOT] com.
