Are we literally talking about the work of, say, running your household. Domestic duties, grocery shopping, cooking meals, cleaning, taking care of balancing the checkbook... If you still balance your checkbook. Whatever it is, is that the kind of work that we're talking about? Or are we talking about things like stepping back and thinking about the quality of your relationship and whether or not it's what you want it to be. Neil Sattin: And if it isn't what you want it to be, putting in energy to try and make it different. Whether that's going to counseling or a coach, or reading a lot of books, or listening to podcasts. And then trying to bring everything that you're learning and all the perspectives that you're getting on how to do a relationship better to your relationship. Maybe that's the kind of work that you're talking about. Neil Sattin: It's important to get really clear on what you mean when you say... If you are the one who's saying, "I feel like I'm the only one who's doing anything for this relationship." And if you're listening to this show because your partner has said to you that they feel like they're the only one doing all the work in the relationship, then you should also get really clear on what it is they're talking about. Because as it turns out, we all have different ideas about what constitutes the work of relationship. Neil Sattin: And one of the most funny... It can be funny, ha-ha, but it's maybe a little bit more funny, weird. Things that can happen in a relationship is you can think like... You can think that you're the one who's doing all the work, and at the very same time, your partner may also think that they are the ones who are doing all the work in the relationship. Neil Sattin: And that's classic because... Interested in reading the transcript for the rest of this episode? Click here to download the full transcript of this episode!
I often talk about how hard it is to ask for help - especially when we have limiting beliefs around being a burden or bothering people. We hate to ask because we worry that someone might not like us or even be upset. But for some of you, asking is especially hard when you're the person who people turn to. There are some added layers of belief that make it hard to ask for help or even know what kind of support you might need - whether it's for your business or for your personal life. I really wanted to touch on this topic here because this comes up for so many of you who are used to being the person for your clients, your friends or your family - which leaves you unsure how to ask, who to ask or even what to ask. So, this is an opportunity for you to tap into learning how to get the support you need so you're not so overwhelmed constantly by the work you have! So, let's dive in.
Tammy Nelson, the author of the book When You're The One Who Cheats, joins me to talk about cheating and infidelity from the point of the cheater. She offers her interesting insight on why people cheat, what it's like to be cheated on, and the recovery process. Is it Infidelity? Tammy defines infidelity as forming a relationship outside of your primary partnership; a relationship with a sexual context such as flirting online or paying a sex worker, in which you are dishonest about these relationships with your primary partner. The pandemic has caused an increase in online infidelity. People cheat for various reasons, but Tammy says that defining what infidelity means to you can help to start a conversation with your partner and can establish an agreement of implicit monogamy. Kinds of Infidelity While some people cheat to break up, for others, it's a wake-up call to turn something around in their relationship. In Tammy's words, “People rarely look for someone to cheat with, they look for someone to be.” Only 7% of affairs end up in marriage with the other person, while most affairs don't last longer than a year. People who choose to make it work after the affair should acknowledge their changed relationship and incorporate their needs and desires into the new relationship to avoid another affair or any resentment. Recovering from InfidelityBefore sharing anything with family or friends, it's best to deal with the trauma in the conflict/crisis phase. The partners should process everything, from how it happened to how they've changed, in the insight phase. In the vision phase, the partners make decisions about moving forward. The goal of recovery is not to forgive, but to work on building a new sex life that is fulfilling. She points out red flags that people need to look out for before deciding to move forward. Should You Tell Your Partner? A partner who confesses to an affair after it's over to feel good about themselves, knowing it could devastate their partner, is selfish. Many feel that they would want to know if their partner ever cheats, Tammy suggests, considering the extent of information you would want to know. How to Avoid Cheating Tammy believes people also cheat because they have experienced developmental challenges of a second adolescence and seek to evolve their personalities. They rebel against their partners as they did with their parents. To avoid cheating, partners can work through this stage together to reinvent themselves and have fun. She also advises seeking therapy and outside support to grieve the end of the relationship instead of using your partner for it. Advice Tammy advises us to differentiate between intuition and fear because intuition allows us to trust and move forward. Dr. Tammy Nelson is a sex and relationship expert, an international speaker, an author, and a licensed psychotherapist with almost 30 years of experience working with individuals and couples. In private practice, she focuses on helping people of all ages, orientations, and genders find love, healing, and passion. In addition to this, Dr. Nelson teaches at several universities and is also the host of the podcast, The Trouble with Sex, and the author of many books, including When You're The One Who Cheats. In this episode… Affairs can be intoxicating, but they can also leave you feeling confused and ashamed once the excitement wears off. So, why do people cheat, and what makes an affair difficult to end? And, once you’ve been caught in your lie, how can you salvage your relationship? A lot of the answers for why we do what we do can be traced back to the chemicals flooding our brains. Much like being under the influence of a drug, our chemical response to a new or elicit relationship can make it difficult to see things clearly—and it can take time for the reality of a situation to fully set in. However, according to Dr. Tammy Nelson, even if you’ve cheated, you still have plenty of choices for how to move forward. As she suggests, there are ways to rebuild your relationship in the aftermath of an affair, but you may need to start with a whole new foundation. Join Dr. Marie Murphy in this episode of Your Secret is Safe With Me as she sits down with Sex and Relationship Expert, Dr. Tammy Nelson. Together, they discuss why affairs are often so exciting, the brain chemicals that influence how we interpret new relationships, and the importance of revisiting your monogamy contract after someone cheats. Plus, Dr. Nelson offers scientific insight into why people lie and provides advice on what to do if you’re the one cheating. Stay tuned.

Sometimes in life, we've gotta' be our own hero. It does us no good to sit around waiting for someone else to come and save us. Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we're talking about showing up for ourselves, making our own decisions and not asking permission from anyone to do it. The sooner we realize that there's no knight in shining armour coming to our rescue and that we're responsible for our own choices, peace, happiness & healing; the healthier and more complete we will be. Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying that we'll never need or want any outside help. From time to time, we of course, will need some assistance, guidance and input from our external world. In fact, it's totally OK and encouraged to seek support in the areas that we're struggling in - so long as we don't make that external support - the end all be all in every area of our life. We don't want to wait around waiting for others to fix us, clean up our messes, complete us or to give you permission to do the things we know we need to do. Go out and be proactive in your own healing. Seek your own liberation. Be your own hero! KK's Key Takeaways I Can't Do This Because They'll... There's that feeling of trying to pull or "drag" your partner along when you want to grow and strengthen your own relationship. Here you are with good intentions to make certain areas of your relationship even better... but it's almost like you are doing it on your own or that you are literally forcing your partner to participate. This can feel so draining and frustrating when your positive intention is met with resistance, push back, or even resentment. Almost like trying to get a child to eat his peas! But does this mean that you have hit the ceiling of where your relationship growth can go? Or that your partner will never be open to the kind of growth you are? NO.. but you do need to take this different approach that Jocelyn herself covers in this episode. About Us: We’re The Freemans, your go-to couple for authentic and actionable relationship advice. In John 21 we find the disciples fishing on a boat after Jesus had resurrected. When John told the others who was calling out to them from the shore, Peter leaped out of the boat made his way through 100 yards of water to get to Jesus. Yes, the same Peter that denied Jesus three times before the crucifixion was rushing to him after Jesus resurrected. What about shame? Condemnation? Embarrassment? None of that stood in the way of Peter and his Lord. No matter your mistakes, your past, or your failures, His kindness is there to draw you back to repentance. In Matthew 18 we find that the shepherd leaves the 99 to find the 1. The body of Christ is not, and will not be complete without the one. It isn't complete without YOU. Run back to Jesus today- even if that means you have to jump off a boat to swim through 100 yards of water.
YOUR THE ONE THAT I WHANT, tema escrito por John Farrar, miembro del grupo The Shadows. Label: Co & Ce 229Year: 1965Condition: M-Last Price: $25.00. Not currently available for sale. How is it that a vocal group from Pennsylvania got a crack at this great tune penned by then-popular Petula Clark and hubby Tony Hatch before Petula did? Her version of "You're The One" did chart as a single in the U.K., but only a couple of months after The Vogues release on Co & Ce. And don't forget, this essential Vogues recording had already been released on the small label Blue Star, which is what brought the group to the attention of slightly larger Co & Ce. (I suspect that Petula recorded this as a cut on one of her albums, and that's how the Vogues discovered it.) By the way, the reason I call this Power Pop rather than Sunshine Pop is because of the awesome electric guitar lead — it's a signature of the evolving Power Pop sound. Note: This beautiful copy has Mint labels and pristine sound. The A side audio is so awesome I had to make an mp3 snippet for the "jukebox"... so have a listen! question, “Why are you the one to tell this story?” Some people will avoid answering or avoid pitching to avoid an existential freakout: “I'm not the one! They can just let somebody on staff do it instead. I'm not experienced enough and will mess it all up.” Others use the same cut-and-paste reply for all pitches. They've found an acceptable answer that allows them to avoid serious consideration of the question. This one is for you people who love fixing others and vomiting out unsolicited advice. In case you were wondering, I am a fellow people-fixer and unsolicited advice vomiter-outer. I wish I could come up with something better than 'vomiter-outer' because it doesn't make much sense, but I couldn't. So that will have to do. I'm sure you get the idea. This is what happens when an over-thinker attempts to be funny or witty. Changing gears...does the following scenario sound familiar?... You find yourself giving the same nagging advice to your partner (or maybe a friend, family member, or colleague) repeatedly. You see what they could be doing better. If only they would just listen to you, they could fix their problem. It would be as easy as that. You keep giving this advice because you know it would work. You're surprised that it's not as clear to them as it is to you. You find yourself volunteering this advice constantly, maybe with an occasional preach or rant telling this person what they should do. Many iterations of these outward attempts to help or fix this person builds up what feels like heat in the gut. You judge. You're frustrated. You're angry. Why don't they just listen to you? Time goes by. You go through something in your own life. You're hit by some sort of unpredictability or vulnerability. And BAM. You realize you haven't been following that same advice you've been giving this person...at all. You're a phony. You're a fraud. You're exposed. But you had no clue! You really thought you could see what was best for this other person. You were trying to help. You became angry that they couldn't/wouldn't just listen to you, apply what you were saying, and fix it. Hint: the problem was probably never the other person. So what was it? What are you angry at? When you preach or give unsolicited advice to others, especially if it's volunteered, constant, and generates judgment and anger, this action can be used as an amazing queue to listen to the advice you're giving out...and take it/apply it in your own life. Because that's what you really want to happen. That's why you're frustrated. It's not the other person. You can't figure out how to take your own advice. You simply see the same thing manifesting in front of you in the other person (they don't know how to apply the advice you're giving), so you resist it because you don't know how to apply it either, and that hurts to face. This lesson comes up for me often, and it slapped me in the face again recently. I talk about it through a story in this quick episode. When you preach or volunteer 'fix-it' advice (as I call it), you are the one that usually need to hear it most. Us humans tend to project our own messes out onto others. This can be tricky or easily missed if you're not paying close attention. If you find yourself preaching or trying to fix another person, use that as a queue to check-in with yourself instead. Henry Johnson discusses his latest jazz guitar lessons available on TrueFire, performs, and answers questions. To learn more and watch the video from this live session, please visit truefire.com/live.About Henry Johnson: The Chicago-born guitarist began playing at age twelve. While spending some formative time in Memphis, he started playing gospel music at age thirteen. By age fourteen, Johnson was playing in R&B groups. Although Johnson's parents brought him up hearing the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Joe Williams, and other artists of that era, it was not until 1967 that Johnson was formally introduced to jazz by hearing guitarist Wes Montgomery. In 1969, Johnson and his family then moved back to Chicago where he developed a reputation on the south side as a good local jazz guitarist. In 1976, he went on the road with jazz organist Jack McDuff and was called to work with vocalist, Donny Hathaway in 1977.In 1979, Johnson began playing with jazz pianist, Ramsey Lewis. And in 1985, jazz legend, Joe Williams added Johnson to his regular group. Johnson's musical roots run deep into gospel, blues, and jazz. His strongest and earliest influences were Kenny Burrell, George Benson, and most significantly, Wes Montgomery. While influenced by these great guitarists, Johnson also cites the music of Herbie Hancock, Oscar Peterson, Freddie Hubbard, Miles Davis, big bands, and jazz orchestras as integral forces which shaped his sound and style.“You're The One”, his recording debut for MCA/Impulse! achieved #1 status on both the Radio & Records NAC chart, and Contemporary Jazz chart for two months – a rare occurrence for a first recording. This recording also won a five star rating in Downbeat magazine, and was nominated for a Grammy. Jazz Times reviewer Diane Patrick called “You're The One” “A thoughtful piece of work which may well become a jazz guitar classic.”Johnson's follow-up recordings, “Future Excursions” and “Never Too Much” also reached the top of the charts. New Beginnings was Johnson's debut recording for the Heads Up International jazz label. Johnson's music has been a favorite at radio stations world wide since the release of his very first CD, “You're the One” on MCA/Impulse! and the appeal of his music continued with the release of his second recording for Heads Up International, titled “Missing You.”In addition to his solo recording projects, Johnson has found time to record with the likes of Ramsey Lewis, vocalists, Joe Williams and Vanessa Ruben, and saxophonist Richie Cole among many others. He has performed with Nancy Wilson, Marlena Shaw, Angela Bofil, Dizzy Gillespie, the Boston Pops, Sonny Stitt, Freddie Hubbard, Grover Washington Jr., Stanley Turrentine, Dr. Billy Taylor, and organist Jimmy Smith, James Moody, David “Fathead” Newman, Terry Gibbs, Bobby Watson, Nicholas Payton, and many other great jazz artists

You're The One For Me (Petko Turner's Only Love Edit) Free DL >> https://hypeddit.com/track/fp7cnl Paul Louis Hardcastle: Born: December 10, 1957 in Kensington, London, United Kingdom. Renown British Record Producer, Multi-Instrumentalist Musician, and Songwriter famed for his hit single "19". Enjoyed success on the underground dance scene in the early 80s before, under the management of Simon Fuller, breaking into the mainstream with "19", an international smash which spent five weeks at number one in the UK. In the latter half of the 1980s he specialised in TV soundtrack work, and now records mainly under the pseudonym The Jazzmasters. Due to contractual restrictions, Paul was unable to release music under the Hardcastle name. So, in October 1990, under the pseudonym The Deff Boyz, he released a 12" single entitled The Deff Boyz Featuring Tony Mac - Swing, which crashed in at #4 on Billboards 12" sales chart and was a massive hit all over Europe. Another project under the name LFO also saw massive sales. In 1997, Paul did some work for the movie "Spice World", later working as a radio presenter in the US. He is married to his teenage sweetheart Dolores Hardcastle (born Dolore Baker) and together they have 3 children: Maxine Hardcastle, Paul Hardcastle Jr. and Richard Hardcastle. Susan Hardcastle is Paul's younger sister and she lent her voice to the backing vocals for the song "Fooling Yourself". He has sold over 20 million records worldwide.
Lookin' back on when we first met / I cannot escape and I cannot forget / Southgate you're the one / You still turn me on / Football's coming home again. It didn't in the end, did it? France won it. But for a few sweet, sweet weeks we dreamt. And we got a new national treasure. So that's nicer, in a way. We do not claim ownership of any of the music played in this episode, although the intro and bed music was made with Harry's very own little hands. Nice one, Harry.
Let’s start with a joke. A guy goes into a therapist’s office, “Doc, I think I might have a problem.” The therapist says, “Okay, have a seat. I’m going to show you some ink blot pictures. Tell me what you you see.” The guy sits down and the doctor shows him the first ink blot. “Well Doc, it looks like a man and woman having sex.” The doctor nods. “And this one?” The man gets even more uncomfortable. “Well, I think that’s a man having sex 3 women.” The therapist raises his eyebrow, “And what about this one?” The man, noticeably uncomfortable shifts in his seat, “Damn Doc, that’s a picture of a man in a gimp suit and a watermelon.” The therapist clears his throat, “Okay, I think you’re obsessed with sex.” The man gets angry and stands up. “Obsessed with sex? You’re the one drawing all the dirty pictures!” The Salem Witch Trials conjure up images of primitive minds terribly afraid of non-sensical superstition. People often look back at that moment in history with dismissive head shakes; lamenting the folly of an unenlightened and archaic society escaping persecution only to embrace it in a utopia of their own creation. On it’s face, they wouldn’t be wrong in assuming that. However, as with most things in life, the story is not that simple. McCarthy was an unremarkable freshman senator. He was desperate to make a name for himself. His invention of a perilous communist threat within the government at the time was nothing more than a shameless attempt to build his reputation. With little more that his word to go on, hundreds of lives were deeply affected by McCarthy’s modern day witch hunt. The Satanic panic had a more nebulous founding. While much can be said about “Michelle Remembers”, the most well known book about so-called “Satanic Ritual Abuse”, you can’t really point to any single asshole and say, “that guy started it”. There were a number of factors that brought about the nonsensical obsession with satanic crime. Conservative Christian values pushed by TV personalities such as Billy Graham, Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Bakker, Jerry Falwell, and Pat Robertson had ensnared Americans into believing there was a threat from the devil. Meanwhile, charlatans and buffoons with made up degrees from mail order universities did their level best to become experts in a phenomenon that didn’t actually exist. Finally, ignorance of Heavy Metal music and The Church of Satan provided smoke to the invented fire. These and other factors led to high profile cases like the McMartin trial and the wrongful convictions of Jesse Misskelly, Jason Baldwin, and Damian Eckles, known collectively as the West Memphis Three, in addition to many more less publicized errors in justice. Similarly, there were ulterior motives in the Salem Witch Trials. We will discuss some of these motives in the episode. What I want to end this blog on, is the undiscussed victims of these three horrible periods in American history. When all was said and done, a line was drawn between the known victims and the obvious perpetrators. What is less often acknowledged are the average people who were duped into believing that there were real witches, real communists, and real devil worshippers. While the first two threats are, at this point, largely laughed off as the mistakes of history, the final moment, the Satanic Panic, is still alive and well in America. People are still convinced that satanism is a dangerous threat to mankind. YouTube is packed full of videos where breathless fearmongers engage in one-sided warfare against a threat that simply doesn’t exist. They blame the Illuminati, The Globalists, Marylin Manson, and one woman even believes that Monster Energy Drink is a dog whistle to Luciferians everywhere. It’s important that we don’t feed into this lunacy. Ultimately we need to realize that they’re no different from the sex obsessed man from the joke, and we’re the ones “drawing all the dirty pictures”.

From my review... OK, let me start with a confession, this might be a slightly biased review. On Brian Hagen’s web site he has a list of his musical favorites and mentions ELP’s fabulous album Tarkus. Tarkus was the very first album I bought, I was 12 or 13, knew nothing of ELP but I could not resist the artwork! I still listen to ii today, the LP has long since been retired, but the music lives on online So, Brian gets a bonus point for Tarkus….. I found You’re The One to be a delight. There are 14 tracks, 7 original and 7 by classical composers. I really like this idea, it gives you a real sense of the players ability not only to compose, but also to play. There is a benchmark set and the goal is to fit in.
