we stepped into a different true crime realm with this episode so bare with us. On September 8th, 2017, 19 year old Kenneka Jenkins attended a party with her friends at a Crowne plaza hotel. At some point during the party, kenneka was separated from her friends and never seen again. 21 hours later her body was found in a freezer in the kitchen of the hotel, police ruled her death accidental, but many people, including her family believe there's more to the story. Was Kenneka's death truly an accident? Or was there foul play involved? It was still September when we recorded this episode. Although it isn't as you listen, sickle cell doesn't end on September 31st. For more information check out cdc.gov or medicalnewstoday.com. follow us on instagram & TikTok @20.somethingpod. A story of interwoven lives, deaths, and strangers, October's Suicides follows the tragic night of Melinda's planned death. With her finger on the trigger of her ex-boyfriend's gun, she recalls her father's smiling face from earlier that day. However, her father was murdered 5 years prior and the kind expression belonged to a stranger who helped her on the last day of her life. Unbeknownst to Helios, his generosity may have shifted the fate of the desperate girl in the grocery store that afternoon. Unfortunately, he can't remember his grocery list or the name of the young man in the Subway polo that helped him change a flat tire earlier that afternoon. Leo struggles with his new found homelessness and tries not to cry as he fills orders at Subway. Brought out of his sorrow by a compassionate voice from a customer, the two explore their troubled pasts and confess more than they ever have before. Hilda wakes up from a close-call overdose of prescription narcotics to confront the inner nightmares that have followed her for years. On her first day of sobriety, she decides to offer her shoulder to cry for a young man lost in his own life. As her night begins, without the pills, she continues to transform her life, making decisions she should have made years ago. “October's Suicide” was written and performed by Gabriel N Elizondo.Music and effects provided by Epidemic Sound.Narratives with Gabriel N Elizondo is a Crowne & Coil Production All written content and performances are exclusive properties of Crowne & Coil Productions. About the Show: In this episode of the podcast, we sit down with musician and live music expert, https://talkbusiness.net/2016/01/brian-crowne-named-vice-president-of-walmart-amp/ (Brian Crowne) to discuss the growth of the Music venue scene here in Northwest Arkansas. Brian and his family have owned https://georgesmajesticlounge.com/ (George's Majestic Lounge) on Dickson St for more than two decades. And, if that wasn't enough he purchased the https://waltonartscenter.org/amp/ (AMP) in the early 2000s and proceeded to help make Northwest Arkansas a regular stop for music acts both big and small. Brian's goal all along with the purchase of the AMP was to create, “ A small town vibe with world-class amenities!” It looks like he has done just that, attracting a lot of big names to the Northwest Corner of the State. So many great acts have performed at the https://waltonartscenter.org/amp/ (Walmart AMP), including http://primusville.com/ (Primus), https://www.theb52s.com/ (The B52s), https://www.charliedaniels.com/ (The Charlie Daniels Band), https://hankjr.com/ (Hank Williams Jr)., https://www.earthwindandfire.com/ (Earth Wind & Fire), https://lynyrdskynyrd.com/ (Lynyrd Skynyrd), https://www.zztop.com/ (ZZ Top), https://www.dariusrucker.com/ (Darius Rucker), https://willienelson.com/ (Willie Nelson), https://www.maryjblige.com/ (Mary J. Brian shares the thinking and process of running a music venue here in Northwest Arkansas. It's not an easy job dealing with performance artists, but Brian has had a lot of practice taking good care of his employees and the talent that comes to the area. Learn about the origins of the AMP. For instance, the original location was the parking lot of the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville before it moved up to its current space in Rogers just off I-49, and more importantly, how Brian teamed up with one of the largest companies in the world, Walmart to expand and improve the venue.
