In this week's episode, Keana explores a question many believers wrestle with but rarely say out loud: What does God's voice actually sound like when you're healing? When you've walked through trauma, heartbreak, or long seasons of survival mode, your ability to hear God can feel distorted. Not because God has changed — but because your nervous system, your trust, and your internal world are shifting. This episode gently unpacks how healing transforms the way you perceive God's voice, how to distinguish His voice from fear or shame, and how to recognize the tender, patient, protective tone God uses with His wounded children. If you're in a season of rebuilding your faith, reconnecting with God, or learning to trust His voice again, this episode will meet you right where you are.

Show Notes — How to Discern God's Direction for the New YearPastor Vlad SavchukIn this timely teaching, Pastor Vlad Savchuk explains that discerning God's direction for a new year begins with spiritual alignment, not hurried decision-making. He emphasizes prayer, fasting, and surrender as essential foundations for hearing God clearly. Direction from God is confirmed through Scripture, the peace of the Holy Spirit, and godly counsel—not pressure, fear, or impatience.Pastor Vlad reminds us that waiting on God is not wasted time. Clarity often comes in stillness, and God's guidance will always draw us closer to Him, never into confusion. He challenges listeners to distinguish between good opportunities and God-ordained assignments, noting that not every open door is meant to be walked through. As this message unfolds, our faithful studio cats, Jaggy and Tedi, quietly supervise the broadcast—resting peacefully and reminding us that discernment often flows best from a calm, attentive heart. A powerful encouragement to enter the new year listening more closely, trusting more deeply, and following God's lead with confidence and peace.

Many believers wrestle with one of the most common questions in the Christian life: How do I know God's will for me?In this episode, Pastor Jeff and Tiffany begin a new mini-series on Learning and Discerning God's Will. Pastor Jeff shares five key ways God reveals His will: Through Scripture, prayer, circumstances, other believers, and His direct leading. God's will is not hidden from His people but revealed to those who walk closely with Him.What We Discussed01:09 Discerning God's WillPastor Jeff explains why many Christians view God's will as something difficult to find, and how it's often simpler than we think when our hearts are in the right place.03:30 Two Approaches to God's WillSome believers wait passively for God to act, while others move forward and trust Him to guide or redirect. Pastor Jeff discusses finding a healthy balance between the two.05:12 Preparing the HeartBefore learning and discerning God's will, our hearts must be right with God. There are four steps of preparation: Yield fully to God, be willing to obey, confess known sin, and ask for His guidance.07:04 God Desires to Reveal His WillTiffany reads Colossians 1:9 and 1 John 5:14-15, reminding listeners that God wants His children to know His will and equips them with spiritual wisdom and understanding.09:11 Five Ways to Learn and Discern God's WillPastor Jeff outlines five ways God reveals His will: through Scripture, prayer, life circumstances, the counsel of other believers, and His direct leading.18:02 God's Direct LeadingWhile rare, God sometimes provides clear direction through His Word or the Holy Spirit. Pastor Jeff cautions believers to test every message against Scripture and seek wise counsel.19:21 Living in God's WillDiscerning God's will starts with the heart. When we are yielded, prayerful, and obedient, we can trust that we are already walking in His will.“If you want to know what God wants, you have to want what God wants.” – Steve BrownWe love your feedback! How do you know if that voice in your head is you, the enemy, or the Lord?
Hearing God’s voice can often feel like one of the greatest challenges in our faith journey. We long for neon signs or audible words, yet Scripture reminds us that God speaks in quieter, deeper ways. In today’s devotional, Jaime Hampton, host of Praying Christian Women, shares her own story of seeking God’s wisdom for an important family decision and learning that His voice doesn’t always come in the way we expect. Sometimes His silence invites us into deeper prayer, broader community, or even waiting until the timing is right. Isaiah 30:21 gives us this comforting assurance: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” We can trust that as we pursue Him with all our hearts, God will faithfully guide us — even when the path isn’t perfectly clear. When the noise of life grows too loud, remember: you don’t have to rely on your ability to perfectly discern God’s voice. You can rely on His ability to guide you in love. Today's Bible Reading: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” – Isaiah 30:21 (NIV) Key Takeaways God’s voice may not be audible, but it is always available through Scripture, prayer, and the Spirit’s leading. His silence doesn’t mean absence — often it’s an invitation to wait, listen, and grow in trust. We can rest in the truth that God’s guidance will always come at the right time. Even if we miss a step, God is faithful to redirect us back onto His path. Let’s Pray Loving Father, we praise You for being El Roi, the God Who Sees. We confess that we often let the noise and busyness of life drown out Your voice. Attune our hearts to hear You clearly and help us walk confidently in the direction You lead. If we step off course, gently correct us and guide us back into Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen. Calls to Action Start your morning by asking God: “What do You want me to hear today?” Write down moments when you sense God’s prompting and compare them with Scripture. This message revolves around three key principles for discerning God's will. Discern God's will through open and closed doors, wise counsel, and above all, the authority of Scripture. God never guarantees comfort. He never guarantees safety. But he guarantees eternal life for all who would believe. Unless God calls you to stay, Unless God forbids you and closes the door, if it's for the sake of the Gospel and to share the gift of eternal life… GO.
