Warmest of Welcomes everybody. As promised DLC Pack episode 6 welcomes the return of SluggerJD aka Josh, where we continue our PS+ Premium Classics Wishlist, this time focusing on the PS2 and what better time to be focusing on this console after Sony recently raised a middle finger to Nintendo and moved the goal post with 160 million PS2 confirmed to have been sold, a fantastic achievement. This time myself (Max) and Josh shortened our lists and named 10 games with 5 honourable mentions, but on an ultra rare occasion decided to open the flood gates and invited all TrophyTalk Podcast discord community members whether patrons or not to write in with PS2 games they'd like to see added to the service, and within the 18 hour window for submissions you guys came through with some great picks bringing us up to around 60 games mentioned. So thank you guys for your submissions. We hope you enjoy this one, please keep an eye out for the announcement as mentioned in the episode, until then I'll be back next month with ThePortlandKevin of the Playstation Plus Game Club to talk about our memories of the Nintendo 64. Until then enjoy the show and be excellent to eachother. Max
Warmest of Welcomes everybody. This month on DLC pack we're ''celebrating'' the 4th birthday of the PS5 and whilst the system has been the better selling console of the generation, the system and Sony themselves have been met with a lot of criticism by the user base. Like parents with dangerously high expectations of their children that only want to be loved, we thought it best to further criticize our pride & joy on its 4th birthday and talk about how we feel the PS5 can improve... Happy Birthday PlayStation 5. In the chairs this episode are of course myself (Max), along with the big man himself Colin (CKpresent), and a newish face around the discord Kade (TheGreenGorillaGamer). A dynamic power trio to say the least, I've been part of the PlayStation ecosystem since the PS1, Colin from the 360 and transitioned to PS4, whilst interestingly enough Kade had an extremely limited exposure to gaming until only a few years ago which gave us an entirely new and interesting perspective on Sony's growing trend of PS4 to PS5 Remasters. Also in this near 2hr 15min episode we discuss our level thoughts on the generation thus far, Sony's live service initiative, PlayStation's vacant first person shooter spot and our thoughts on the arrival of the PlayStation 5 Pro. We hope you enjoy and I'll see you in December where I'll be reunited with Josh to pick up our PS2 premium classics Wishlist episode. Until then, be excellent to each other. Max
Warmest of Welcomes Everybody. This month on DLC Pack, Max is joined by fellow discord member ZacLre to talk about the Final Fantasy series as a whole. With questions from the audience taking the wheel and steering the show to its destination, we cover our favourite and least favourite games in the series and our thoughts on the evolution of combat systems. Have you ever wondered 'how in great greagors gash am I supposed to get into this series?!' Well we covered that too with our own beginners guide for getting into the series and finally we talk about what Square Enix has planned for the future of the series. We know we can expect the final installment of the FF7 Remake trilogy in 2028 but what does the silent Square Enix have cooking in the meantime? When can we expect Final Fantasy 17? Is Final Fantasy 9 Remake cancelled? What will become of the 20+ year old MMO Final Fantasy 11 in its life support stage? To warm up we also took some time to talk about some of the games we've been playing and had some short thoughts on the previous DLC Pack episode following the September State of Play. We hope you enjoy this one and I'll see you next month for episode 5. Peace! Max [Pre-recorded 5th October 2024]
Well hello hello there everybody! Trophy Talk Podcast's DLC Pack series makes its long overdue return to your earholes with episode 3 or 1 if you consider it a reboot. Max is running the show this time and sat with him in the guest chair is Josh from the main show and Surviving the Horror. In this episode the boys discuss the revamp and future of DLC pack episodes moving forward. Whilst the main topic of the show focuses on the quality of the PS+Premium catalog and what PS1 games we would like to see come to the service that improve our overall score of the service as a whole. Along with some audience write ins we list a whopping 40+ titles. We hope you enjoy this lengthy discussion as we get nostalgic for these old gems and with Astrobot in the hands of the everyday consumers, this nostalgic trip couldn't have come at a better time. We hope you enjoy the show and keep an eye out for Pt2 where we will be setting our sights on the PS2. Peace! -Max
Mags and I discuss SummerSlam 2024! We also talk about the worst WWE 2k24 DLC Pack ever. Shoot us a message at MagsAndMelfunsky@gmail.com
Well well well, look at what we have here. After the boys were a bit hard on Xbox for some of their most recent business moves and studio closures, Xbox came back and delivered what has to be one of the best showcases in recent history. With the showcase came a litany of great game announcements and trailers, many of which are coming to PS5. Naturally we start off the show by discussing some of these titles that are coming over, and what the showcase means for our feelings and thoughts on Xbox as a whole. Truth be told, it certainly made us more inclined to check out the Xbox ecosystem in the recent weeks as we wait for more PS titles to come out later this Summer. From there Josh and Colin move on to discuss a topic submitted via Patreon. Just what is the "correct" way to play a video game? Are we as trophy hunters robbing ourselves of intended experiences by using video and text guides? The short answer is, it depends, but we get into much more detail and try to parse out the truth which lies somewhere in the middle. Finally Josh reviews a PS classic title that recently got trophies added to it in Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, and Colin talk about the shadow drop of a DLC Pack 2 for Astro's Playroom. Is this a brilliant way to market the upcoming Astro Bot title and drive excitement, or is a huge annoyance to the trophy hunting community and those who strive for the full 100%? As always the reality is it's both. Thank you so much listening, and take care!

Hello hello there everyone! Welcome back to another exciting episode of Trophy Talk! In this episode we're doing something slightly different. Normally the crew pre-records one episode a year so that we can release it around the holidays in December, and take a few weeks off from work and the show. However, this year, we didn't do that. As a result we thought we'd try to take a small break here in the beginning of the year. It didn't feel fair to only put out a spoiler cast though, as some of you reading this / listening maybe haven't played FF16, or have no interest in it. So, what we decided to do was record a normal show all the way up through answering Patreon submitted questions, and then, instead of doing trophy list reviews, we'd stitch on our FF16 spoiler cast. Our discussion of FF16 was recorded months ago, as you can tell from the speculation about potential DLCs for the game which were later announced at the 2023 Game Awards. Even still, I think it's one of the best discussions and break downs of the game I've seen. We sincerely hope that you enjoy it, and a special thank you to Max for lending a hand with this one! If you don't have any interest in the spoiler cast don't worry. As noted, the first 1 hour and 40 minutes of the show are unchanged and still involve housekeeping items, plat shout outs, Patreon shout outs, and answers to this episode's Patreon submitted questions. Thank you all so much for listening to the show! Please leave us any feedback you may have in the comments, or in the Discord as we're always striving to improve and get better. Much love, happy gaming, and take care =)
Hello Everyone! Welcome to the first official Trophy Talk Podcast review and spoiler cast episode. We hope to be able to bring you many more of these in the future! This first episode centers around the most recent title from the Assassin's Creed universe, AC: Mirage. Joining Colin on this episode is a long time community member, supporter, and friend of the show, Gary aka TheSlyGCooper. In this episode we do of course get into spoilers and a deep discussion of 9th century Baghdad, the combat, the visuals, and gameplay mechanics, and of course the story. However, the first 30 minutes or so we take our time talking about our history with the AC universe and the previous games in the franchise. There's quite a bit to love in this newest entry from Ubisoft, but there's also a good deal to critique. We hope that you enjoy this episode, and thank you so so much for your support!

Alas we are now in fateful June and the E3 birds are singing their songs! E3 is almost near and for that the podcasters of Negative World are in full swing! This episode puts together Joe (Ninsage), and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) with their buddy Hendrik (Jargon) as they discuss Nintendo gaming and run through E3 predictions. To start the gang gets another Yooka-Laylee Update from Stephen and then we hear Hendrik's thoughts on the upcoming Playtonic game. There's only a little over a week until the kickstarter ends so be sure to jump on it now if you haven't yet! Then Hendrik takes us down memory lane to the March Madness bracket he put on a few months ago. This one was based on third-party titles and we dive into how he put that together, the results, and what we learned about ourselves. After that the group goes into Now Playing where they start by having Hendrik run us through the latest Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack (2) and discuss each uniquely wonderful stage. Then Joe brings Mighty Switch Force to the table as well as Steamworld Dig. Both of which he nabbed in the recent Nindie Bundle by Humble Bundle. Stephen rounds things out with none other than Splatoon. Nintendo pulled a surprise Micro Nintendo Direct earlier last week so the crew dabbles into the little bit of news that brought us and then the guys dive in to an hour or so of E3 predictions pulled both from the internet and our own Negative World! We start off with more realistic ideas and then take on some more 'creative' ones. Music for the episode is borrowed from Chibi Robo! The show's theme music is from Negative World site owner and operator, Zero. Please comment on the topics, the podcast, the guests, hosts, etc. on Negative World! You can also reach us through Facebook or Twitter. If you find us on iTunes, please write us a little review there! We would really appreciate the feedback. It's the best way for us to know what makes our listeners happy and we'd love to respond to some things on future episodes. We mean it! Full list of episodes
