On the night of February 19, 2005, 34-year-old Danielle Imbo and 35-year-old Richard Petrone met up with friends at Abilene's, a bar in Philadelphia. By all accounts, they were having a great time, reconnecting after a breakup weeks prior. At around 11:45 p.m., they said their goodbyes and left the bar, planning to head to Danielle's home in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. But they never made it home. Despite extensive searches and years of investigative efforts, there has never been a single confirmed sighting of Danielle, Richard, or the truck. And after two decades, their families are still left asking the same question—what happened to Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone? 34-year-old Danielle Ottobre and 35-year-old Richard Petrone were last seen at around 11:45 p.m. on February 19, 2005, leaving Abilene's bar on South Street in Philadelphia. They were traveling in Richard's 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup truck, which was black with a silver bottom portion, heading toward Danielle's home in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. At the time of her disappearance, Danielle, who is a white female, was 5'5" tall and weighed approximately 120 lbs. She had hazel eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a dark jacket, a cream sweater, and blue jeans. She also wore three small silver rings on her middle finger and carried a black purse. She has a tattoo of flowers on her lower back. Richard, who is a white male, was 5'9" tall and weighed approximately 200 lbs. He had blue eyes and brown hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray Polo sweatshirt. On his left arm is a tattoo with the word "Angela," and on his right is a tattoo of clowns.  If you have any information about Danielle and Richard's disappearance, please contact the Citizens Crime Commission tip line at 215-546-8477. In this episode, we dive deep into the topic of how many cars are too many. This of course is after we discuss the recent patent filing by Ford Motor Company, one of which allows various ways to auto repossess your car. Derek does wonder how the salesperson will make that a selling point. Afterward the three key takeaways from our conversation about downsizing:Priorities matter: When it comes to owning a collection of cars, everyone has their own priorities. Some people prioritize the historical significance of a car, while others prioritize the thrill of driving it. It's essential to think about your own priorities and how they align with your collection.Time management is crucial: Maintaining a collection of cars takes time and effort. It's important to think about how much time you have to devote to your collection and how many vehicles you can realistically manage. There's no such thing as too many cars: Okay, maybe this one is a bit controversial, but hear us out. While it's important to consider your priorities and time management, ultimately, there's no limit to how many cars you can own if you have the means to do so. After all, who doesn't love a good car collection?Overall, our conversation on this episode was lively and thought-provoking. We hope you'll give it a listen and share your own thoughts on the topic. In the late night hours of February 19, 2005, Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone left Abeline's Bar on South Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and vanished, seeminly into thin air. To this day, neither Danielle or Richard have been seen or heard from, and Richard's massive Dodge Dakota pickup truck is just as elusive. Investigators have monitored all of their accounts, checked security camera footage from South Street and from the surrounding Philadelphia bridges connecting the city to New Jersey, where the couple was headed, with absolutely no trace of them. Theories have sprung up over the years, however, there isn't even enough evidence to start ruling possibilities out, so each and every avenue of investigation turns up no leads. Karwin explain how they successfully represented California high school student Nicholas Tusant after he was struck by a truck in a lighted crosswalk, resulting in severe, life-altering injuries. On March 24, 2017, 16-year-old Nicholas activated the crosswalk's flashing lights and yelled for Joseph Gervais, who was driving a Dodge Dakota truck, to stop. Instead, Nicolas was hit in the crosswalk and rendered unconscious. Nicholas, one of 10 teens injured in this crosswalk between 2007 and 2018, spent 30 days in a coma and months in the hospital healing from a stroke, bone fractures and severe brain damage — all of which continue to make it difficult for him to walk and talk. Despite the City of Hemet's attempts to use a design immunity defense, cast blame on Joseph Gervais' negligent driving and assert that an accident on public property does not constitute a dangerous condition, a Riverside County, California jury found in favor of the plaintiff. In February 2020, Nicholas was awarded $25,656,686.58 in damages, marking the largest personal injury verdict in California in 2020. After rekindling what was a teenage crush, in the midst of a divorce Danielle Imbo would head for a night of music and fun with Richard Petrone and two friends. The two would leave a Philadelphia bar around 11pm never to be seen again. Not only would the couple disappear, Richard's 3000lb Dodge Dakota would also go missing. Rivers were searched, but to no avail. How do two adults with kids they loved and tight knit families simply go missing? Ep. 48 — A close encounter with a Mack Truck on an icy freeway convinces a New York native to move to warmer climes and pursue a career in marketing / Linda Souza, Senior Vice President of Marketing, CareerArc. Driving home from her martial arts class in the middle of a January snowstorm in Pittsburgh, Linda Souza lost control of her pickup truck on the icy freeway and skidded straight onto the path of a Mack Truck. Fueled by adrenalin, Souza accelerated into a grassy ditch, narrowly avoiding serious injury even as the Mack Truck slammed into the back of her of pickup, substantially damaging both vehicles. The close encounter taught Souza a life lesson to trust her instincts in dicey and unpredictable situations. Needless to say, that was Souza's last winter on the east coast. She moved to Los Angeles where she's now Senior Vice President of Marketing at CareerArc. The company offers technology-based social recruiting and outplacement solutions to help Human Resources leaders recruit and transition employees. Souza says the unprecedented shutdown and slow resurgence of the U.S. economy because of Covid-19 raises many challenges for HR leaders, including work-from-home policies and pay scales. “I don't think it will be everybody will permanently work from home at all companies, but I think there's going to be a bigger appetite for that and a bigger demand for that,” says Linda. “And then that opens up things like, "Okay, well does that mean, for example, if I'm in a place where it's very expensive to live and so salaries are elevated, does that open me up to talent in different parts of the country if I don't need someone to physically come in every single day? And that also entails, "Well, now we have to rethink the compensation structure. Do I pay less if I'm hiring in Kansas versus Los Angeles?" But Souza is seeing one positive trend behind all these murky questions — and that trend is that companies are slowly but surely starting to hire again. As she merged onto the icy freeway, Souza lost control of her Dodge Dakota pickup truck. The Mack Truck could not avoid hitting the back of Souza's pickup, but she was able to accelerate into a grassy ditch, narrowly avoiding serious injury. Hello everyone, I'm Chitra Ragavan. And this is When it Mattered. This episode is brought to you by Good Story, an advisory firm helping technology startups find their narrative. Chitra Ragavan: Needless to say that was Souza's last winter on the east coast. She moved to Los Angeles where she's now Senior Vice President of Marketing at CareerArc, which offers technology based social recruiting and outplacement solutions to help HR leaders recruit and transition employees. Souza is a 7 x tech startup marketer with more than 20 years of experience helping lead early stage and growth stage startups to successful exits. Prior to CareerArc, Linda served as Vice President of Marketing for cryptocurrency and blockchain startup Gem, where she was my colleague. Souza also served as Vice President of Marketing for Deep Six AI, an award-winning artificial intelligence company. Linda, welcome to the podcast. Linda Souza: Thank you Chitra, I'm excited to be here. Chitra Ragavan: Tell us about that potentially fatal highway accident that January day. Linda Souza: So I was training at a martial arts workshop actually. This is back when I was living in Pittsburgh in the early two thousands, and it had started snowing while I was in the class because it was in January. And by the time I got out and had to hit the road to get home, which was a good 30 or 40 minute drive home, it was full on snowstorm. And I was driving a pickup truck at the time, which unfortunately does not have great traction all the time in the snow.

Thirty-four year old Danielle Imbo was going through a divorce and raising her eighteen month old son. Through her best friend, Christine, she reconnected with her high school crush, Christine's older brother, thirty-five year old, single father Richard Petrone. The two clicked instantly. Their relationship was going well when Danielle's ex-husband began attempting to rekindle their romance. Unsure of what to do, Danielle decided it was more important for her to be single and provide a life for her son, and so she told both men that she needed space and time to work on herself. Five weeks later, on February 19th, 2005, Richard reached out to Danielle asking if she'd like to come out for a drink and see some bands perform. Needing a night out, Danielle agreed and the two headed down to South Street, in Philadelphia, where they met up with Richard's friends Anthony and Michelle. After a the music ended, they decided to call it an early night. Both were picking up their kids the next day and didn't want to be too tired. At 11:45pm, they walked out of the bar and were never seen again, nor was Richard's 2001 black Dodge Dakota that he drove that night. For thirteen years their families have wondered what happened to them, and the Philadelphia and New Jersey police, as well as the FBI, have been heavily involved in attempting to solve this bizarre disappearance. How can two people and a three thousand pound truck simply vanish? Did the two single parents choose to run off and start a new life? Could there have been an accident which resulted in the couple sinking into the Delaware river? Did Danielle's ex-husband, Joe Imbo, play a role in her disappearance? Or could the couple have been murdered, either in a random act of violence or in an orchestrated murder for hire scenario? Join host Steven Pacheco as he explores the confusing details of this utterly baffling case and attempts to answer the question: What happened to Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone?
