Tenemos una hija estadounidense quien cumple 21 años en noviembre del 2024. ¿Quiero saber si ya es tiempo de aplicar para la residencia permanente bajo la petición de mi hermano? ¿Podemos aplicar por mi hija cuando ella cumpla los 21 años y usar la protección de la ley 245(i)?PREGUNTA:En diciembre del 2023 aplicamos para el estatus U y en julio del 2024 fuimos a poner las huellas. ¿Que tanto avance tiene mi caso?PREGUNTA:Yo entre a EE. UU. sin visa hace 35 años. Tengo hijos mayores de 21 años y no tengo familia en México. ¿Tendré alguna posibilidad de que alguno de mis hijos me pueda pedir y que yo pueda pedir el perdón aquí en EE. UU.? PREGUNTA:¿Hay alguna ley que le otorgue estatus a los menores de 21 anos quienes entraron indocumentados a EE. Precisamente la seguridad es uno de los grandes problemas a los que tendrá que hacer frente la próxima y primera presidenta mujer de México, la recientemente elegida Claudia Sheinbaum, del partido oficialista Morena.  En el podcast Las madres buscadoras de México conocemos esta realidad que flagela tanto a mexicanos, como a migrantes. Sostiene que al igual que el mandatario, la candidata presidencial, Claudia Sheinbaum, “tampoco escucha”. On Monday February 13th, approximately 20 workers began a work stoppage at Mt Baker Roofing Company after several workers were fired for bringing a list of complaints, including lack of access to bathrooms and drinking water, to their boss. Dulce works at the Washington State Labor Council and has been helping to spread the word about the strikes on her Facebook page. Hundreds of striking workers are demanding PPE and hazard pay at a series of different warehouses throughout the Yakima area. In this segment of By Any Means Necessary hosts Sean Black and Jacquie Luqman are joined by Edgar Franks, Washington State Political And Campaign Director at Familias Unidas por la Justicia, to talk about the hundreds of farm workers currently on strike over a lack of adequate PPE and hazard pay in Yakima Valley, Washington, how the strike evolved from a handful of disparate actions to a regional effort shutting down six agribusinesses, and how this ongoing struggle fits into the long fight for fair treatment by farm workers in this country.

Workers in the apple-packing industry in Washington State’s Yakima Valley are not receiving sufficient protection from COVID-19, according to Edgar Franks, Political Director of the union Familias Unidas por la Justicia.
