Khalil Gibran wrote "Children" over a century ago, but its challenge to parents hasn't aged a day. In this episode, Kshitij and Burair sit with the poem — closely, honestly — and ask what it actually looks like to raise children the way Gibran imagined. They explore Lighthouse Parenting: the idea that your role isn't to clear the path or carry your child through the storm — it's to be a steady, visible light on the shore while they find their own way through. How close does that get to Gibran's vision? And where does it fall short? The conversation gets personal. First heartbreaks. Failures. The moments that shake a child to their core. Real parenting, they argue, isn't about speeches or lessons delivered from a safe distance. It's about presence. It's not your job to turn on the light in the room — it's to sit with them in the dark while they find it themselves.A conversation about poetry, philosophy, and the hardest job in the world.

Newsletter Marketing Radical: https://marketingradical.substack.com/welcomeNewsletter Negocios con IA: https://negociosconia.substack.com/welcomeLibro "Libertad Financiera" Gratis: https://borjagiron.com/libertadMis Libros: https://borjagiron.com/librosSysteme Gratis: https://borjagiron.com/systemeSysteme 30% dto: https://borjagiron.com/systeme30Manychat Gratis: https://borjagiron.com/manychatMetricool 30 días Gratis Plan Premium (Usa cupón BORJA30): https://borjagiron.com/metricoolNoticias Redes Sociales: https://redessocialeshoy.comNoticias IA: https://inteligenciaartificialhoy.comClub: https://triunfers.comThis content is under Fair Use: Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act in 1976; Allowance is made for "Fair Use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship and research. Corruption is always a hot topic in Indonesia, but where does the situation stand right now? In this episode, we talk to Egi Primayogha who is the advocacy coordinator for the NGO Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) about their assessment of the current government and their recent report entitled Catatan Kritis (or critical notes) on the first year of the Prabawo-Gibran government. ICW was formed in 1998 and, unfortunately, their role in keeping the government accountable is as important as ever. The report highlights a number of areas of concern, many of course are not new in Indonesian politics. The impact of dynastic politics, patronage driving cabinet appointments and the lack of oversight that the parliament is having over government policies and activities are all mentioned as ongoing issues. The report also looks more closely at corruption and lack of accountability in the Free Healthy Meal Program, known as Makanan Bergizi Gratis or MBG, which has been in the news recently for large numbers of students being struck with food poisoning. All in all, the report is a reminder that democracy is tough road with many obstacles and civil society groups like ICW are crucial for keeping corruption and transparency in the spotlight. Our guest today, Egi Primayogha is a member of Indonesia Corruption Watch with more than 10 years of experience leading investigations, research, and advocacy to promote transparency and accountability. His work focuses on state capture, politico-business corruption, and the intersection of governance and climate issues. Image used with permission, Indonesia Corruption Watch.

Dr. Reedy discusses how rebellion is a response to a situation where the project of individuation is threatened or stalled. He explains that individuation is the answer to the soul's longing for itself. He invites listeners to consider disregarding what they were taught about parenting, children and even this broadcast. He explained the attachment requires that we accept the premise that “our children are not our children.” (Gibran)
Let us know what you enjoy about the show!Have you ever considered that our obsession with measuring time might be missing the point entirely? Khalil Gibran's masterpiece "The Prophet" offers us a profound alternative perspective that could transform how we experience each moment of our lives.Today I felt moved to share a beautiful passage from "The Prophet" that speaks to the nature of time itself. Published in 1923, this timeless work continues to offer wisdom that feels startlingly relevant to our rushed modern existence. Gibran challenges our conventional understanding of time as something linear that can be divided, measured, and controlled. Instead, he invites us to recognize the timelessness that dwells within each of us.The passage I read contains some of Gibran's most breathtaking insights: "Yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream," and "that which sings and contemplates in you is still dwelling within the bounds of that first moment which scattered the stars into space." These words remind us that our consciousness participates in something eternal, beyond the constraints of clocks and calendars. When Gibran describes love and time as "undivided and paceless," he offers us a powerful metaphor for understanding our own boundless nature.I hope these words provide a moment of reflection in your day. What would change in your life if you embraced the timelessness Gibran describes? How might you move through your days differently? Take a moment to contemplate this wisdom, and perhaps you too will find yourself inspired to "let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing." Remember to subscribe for more moments of reflection and inspiration that help us all live more fully in the present moment. If you are enjoying the show please subscribe, share and review! Let us know what you enjoy about the show! What if your home was not just a place to live, but a living, breathing extension of your very essence? Inspired by the poignant words of Khalil Gibran's "The Prophet," I, Lisa Hopkins, invite you on a journey through the philosophical and spiritual dimensions of what it means to call a place home. We uncover Gibran's insightful vision of houses that inspire freedom and untamed passion, challenging the notion that comfort should define our living spaces. Through his eloquent prose, we are urged to see our homes as masts that propel us forward, not anchors that hold us back, and to fill our spaces not just with objects, but with peace, beauty, and meaningful memories. This episode asks you to reflect deeply on what you truly hold within the walls of your home. Are they shelters of peace and beauty, or merely fortresses of comfort that stifle the soul's yearning for freedom? As we explore Gibran's poetic call to live restlessly within rest, we delve into the idea of letting your spirit dwell in the vastness of the sky, unconfined by physical boundaries. Join me in embracing the wisdom of Gibran, and let his words inspire you to live in the moment, with a newfound understanding of the profound essence of home. Stay safe and healthy, and allow this exploration to resonate with you as it has with me.If you are enjoying the show please subscribe, share and review!
