Galway play their second game in this year's Very National Camogie League on Saturday (1st March 2025) away to Waterford. Carrie Dolan and the evergreen Ailish O'Reilly came up with some important scores as Galway got the wraps off their season with a win down in UPMC Nowlan Park over Kilkenny. It's another away day for Cathal Murray's crew, and a first home tie for the Suirsiders and with both sides assimilating younger players into the panels and dealing with injuries, it should be an enlightening game. Having faced the All-Ireland champions, Cork in the opening round, Waterford must now take on the runners-up. Beth Carton remains their attacking talisman but the concession of early goals had them on the back foot. They showed good resolve in the second half, however, without ever looking like reeling in the Rebels. Galway senior manager Cathal Murray gave his thoughts to Galway Bay FM's Tommy Devane. == Galway have made three changes for their game against Waterford. Carnmore's Jennifer Hughes and St. Thomas' Áine Keane return following their Ashbourne Cup success with University of Limerick.  Oranmore-Maree's Ailish O'Reilly struck 0-3 against Kilkenny and that earns her a starting spot.  They replace Katie Manning, Annmarie Starr and Niamh McInerney.

Send us a Text Message. In the UK, more older homeowners are choosing to downsize due to rising living costs, including higher utility bills and maintenance expenses, and the desire for a simpler lifestyle. Recent data shows a 13% increase in home sales among those aged 66 and over, contrasting with stagnant or declining sales among younger homeowners. For example, Peter and Jennifer Hughes left their Regency townhouse due to health issues and the impracticality of a multi-storey home, while Modupe Olufunmilayo downsized to enjoy a mortgage-free retirement, even though it meant moving away from her community. For others, downsizing offers a fresh start, such as Kate and Stan Urbaniak, who are relocating from Aberdeen to Brighton, and Hilkka Fraser, who moved to Mersea Island after her husband's death.Meanwhile, Zamira Hajiyeva, wife of jailed Azeri banker Jahangir Hajiyev, has forfeited a luxury mansion near Harrods and a golf club in Ascot to the British government. Valued at about £18.5 million, these properties were seized following an Unexplained Wealth Order (UWO) related to her husband's financial misconduct. The National Crime Agency (NCA) traced the illicit funds through offshore accounts, confirming that the assets were acquired with money from fraud and embezzlement. The UK government will receive 70% of the proceeds from the sale, minus NCA costs, as part of ongoing efforts to combat illicit financial inflows. In response to soaring housing costs, young people in the UK are increasingly pooling resources with friends and siblings to buy property. Jack Robinson and Gemma Griffin, after years of expensive renting in London, chose a shared mortgage to purchase a flat in Woolwich. Similarly, Joe Almeida and his extended family bought a three-bedroom house in Feltham, and brothers Dylan and Marcus Hall purchased a home in Dunfermline. Lloyds Bank research shows that over half of young people are open to joint property ownership, despite concerns about complicating personal relationships. Finally, the ultra-wealthy are enhancing their homes with luxurious security features. Al Corbi, founder of SAFE (Strategically Armored & Fortified Environments), notes growing demand for opulent secure spaces, which now include extravagant features like underground escape tunnels, bowling alleys, and shark tanks. With rising concerns about climate change, pandemics, and political instability, these secure areas are being equipped with advanced protections such as blast-proof doors, unbreakable windows, and biometric systems. Graham Harris from SHH Architecture highlights that secure spaces are expanding in both size and functionality, reflecting a growing desire among the wealthy for comfort and preparedness against various threats. Maximize your property wealth with London Property. Jennifer, like many of us really thrive off of finding and establishing deep connections in our communities. Specifically, in our church congregations. However, even though the gospel of Jesus Christ will always be the same no matter where you go, congregations in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are not the same wherever you go. This made it easy for many and as mentioned in this episode, for Jennifer, during the COVID-19 pandemic, to possibly opt out of church attendance, question their relationship with the gospel, etc…However, Jennifer shares that its okay to evaluate your intention behind how you live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because at the end of the day, your faith journey is truly between you and God. We must work together as congregations in our church to serve one another like Christ did. Become truly, the family of God and become one as God has asked us to be. This is Why She Stays.

Episode SummaryThis episode of the Sunny Side Up Specials discusses overcoming impostor syndrome and cultivating inclusion for women in the tech industry. The speakers shared their diverse career journeys and experiences navigating the challenges of being women in tech. They discussed ways to challenge stereotypes through representation and open conversations. Advice was given on overcoming impostor syndrome through self-confidence, seeking help, and gaining experience. The speakers also suggested ways companies can better support women, such as providing resources, encouraging innovation, and promoting women into leadership roles. About the guests Jennifer Hughes Jennifer is the Principal Digital Expert at Demandbase. After a decade-long career in law and starting a family (three kids in four years), Jennifer turned her sights to writing and marketing. After years in B2C marketing, she moved to the B2B world. She started at Demandbase as the head of Digital Marketing in 2021 and is now Prinicipal Digital Expert, a client-facing role. She is delighted to be part of the Demandbase Expert Team, helping customers to succeed in all things account-based advertising. Since joining as an intern, she has taken on increasing responsibilities while advancing her knowledge of the technology industry. Stella is committed to challenging stereotypes through representation and encourages women to embrace learning experiences outside their comfort zone. Key takeaways - Speaking up about experiences and having open conversations can help break down stereotypes   - Finding representation and a support network boosts confidence and combats impostor syndrome - Companies should provide processes to encourage innovation from all employees Quotes"I think representation is such an important factor in fighting stereotypes. And it's not only for yourself but for other women to see that there is an example out there, there is representation out there." - Stella Wei. "What I would love to see is companies normalizing and rewarding trying new things and taking risks. Women are taught to be so much more risk averse than men." - Jennifer Hughes. “Companies need to start leading by example and we hear that we need more women in the tech industry, we need more women in STEM and stuff. But it's when the companies start creating these opportunities for women, I feel, that's where it motivates these women to try out something new.” - Ashwini Manjrekar. Recommended Resource Stella Wei recommended the "Woman at Work" podcast from Harvard Business Review which covers topics on career, leadership, and personal growth for women. Ashwini Manjarekar suggested the books "Atomic Habits" for implementing changes professionally and personally, and "I Am Malala" as an inspiring read about fighting for women's education.
