Californians seem poised to approve sweeping reforms to get tougher on crime, even though overall crime is falling The latest polls show overwhelming support for Proposition 36, which would roll back some of the reforms voters approved ten years ago in Prop 47 Prop 36 is the most important issue on the November ballot, according to surveys of voters, and roughly 70% of them say they will vote for it. It would reclassify some of those lower level property crimes and drug possession offenses, so that prosecutors could treat them as felonies instead of misdemeanors. It would also mandate drug treatment instead of prison for people caught in possession of fentanyl, heroin, meth and some other drugs. The measure would also allow for longer prison time for a third conviction for shoplifting or burglary, or if three or more people commit the crime together, as in a retail smash-and-grab crime spree. Tomorrow's program will explore the arguments in favor of Proposition 36 with Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley, who supports it. In September 1977, during the Joint Attack Weapons Systems Test (JAWS) at Fort Benning Georgia, the entire base witnessed a UFO invasion. As many as 1300 troops were involved in the event. Most were left with severe psychological trauma and "missing time" gaps. John Vasquez was courageous enough to undergo counseling, regression therapy, and hypnosis. Your Learning Curve Never Sounded So Good The Panel: Clint White holds the ASE Master Tech, Under Car Specialist, & Service Writer Certifications. He started wrenching in 1995 and landed his first job via BBB chat room connection. Clint moved on to manage & tech at Midas and then at an independent shop. He moved to Idaho to get away from the overcrowded West Coast and worked as a Chevrolet/Cadillac tech. Next, he managed another independent in Meridian Idaho.  While there, the owner of the business sent me to shop owners training through RLO and ATI 2-3 times a year and he also took it upon himself, at the same time, to attend Bible College full time for 2 years and become a licensed Pastor (talk about being stretched!!!).  His fire was lit !! Clint found out quickly he has a passion to OWN his own shop and a passion to TRAIN/TEACH people. His world was rocked when his father (also a Pastor) was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, Prostate Cancer, had neck surgery and a knee replacement all within a short span of time. Clint moved home to spend time with his Dad. It was a tough choice to leave what he had in Idaho but for him, family must come first. As a child, John was always into cars. That love never went away and he thought that the automotive industry would be a good place to start his career. He first worked in a parts department for a local distributor, then moved on to detailing vehicles at a Volkswagen dealership. After about a year and a half, he worked his way up to valet, then greeter and finally, service advisor which he really enjoyed and just confirmed for him that he had picked the right career path. He enjoys spending important time with his wife and daughter. If he is not watching the Niners, Warriors or Giants, you’ll find John enjoying some delicious food and/or taking in a movie.   Role Plays:   #1. They start off talking about revenue, and they are developing or using a product with just making money of that product in mind.  This is a dangerous person to go into business with or a dangerous way to run your business.  Here is why!  When you are providing a system or a product you are in the business to solve people’s problems and make their life more manageable or easier. When you build a system or product just to make money you will lose sight of the emotion behind it, and how it will truly make the customer feel or in turn solve their problem or make their life easier.  I recommend always starting with the problems and  building the product or system to solve that problem.  When the system is able to solve that problem and create an emotional connection with that customer you will make a customer for life and the end result will be making money.  Listen Now!
