Jorge Fornés... (Barcelona, Cataluña, 1975) Es un artista autodidacta que ha llegado a ser uno de los talentos más importantes del cómic norteamericano actual. Después de varias colaboraciones para editoriales independientes españolas y estadounidenses, las cuales compaginaba con un empleo en un taller de coches, comienzó a trabajar para DC en 2014. Sin embargo, su trazo pasó a encontrarse en el centro de todas las miradas unos años después, en 2019, saltando a la fama al ilustrar varios números de Batman enmarcados en la etapa del guionista Tom King, un creador con el que repetiría colaboración en la miniserie Héroes en crisis. En estos años, destaca también su labor en Daredevil para Marvel o en Hot Lunch Special para AfterShock Comics. En 2020 volvió a reunirse con King en Rorschach, donde ambos autores profundizan en el universo Watchmen en una serie limitada ambientada 35 años después de la obra original de Alan Moore y Dave Gibbons.

Once upon a time, in a far-off kingdom, Tom King returned! In this episode, we go into the woods and down the dell; the path is straight toward Danger Street! We're talking with the creator about his utterly absurd and equally delightful maxi-series, illustrated by Jorge Fornés, colored by Dave Stewart, lettered by Clayton Cowles, and currently on the stands from DC Comics. What's the tougher task - knocking out another Batman story or creating a narrative where twenty-three random superhero rejects make perfect inhabitants? Tom King takes us through Danger Street's creation, the mission he's hoping to accomplish with it, and how these characters have caused him to reconsider other staples from the DC Comics stable. Our conversation also allows us to delve into our recent obsession with comic book dollar bins, an obsession that Tom King most definitely shares. Within those glorious longboxes, you never know what you'll find; for Tom, they might be the basis for his next weirdo spandex drama. Most importantly, Danger Street radically aligns with a larger conversation that we've been having at Comic Book Couples Counseling. The tiniest acts, the tiniest kindnesses, can have the most massive of impacts on our larger society. Sometimes, the greatest superpower is your availability. En esta ocasión, Tom King recoge el testigo de Watchmen para ofrecernos una serie de thriller policiaco ambientada en el universo de Moore y Gibbons. Veremos pues, como un supuesto impostor, que se hace pasar por el antiguo justiciero, termina siendo abatido en un intento por atentar contra uno de los candidatos a Presidentes de los Estados Unidos. Todo ello desembocará en una conspiración mucho más grande, y que se irá volviendo más compleja según avance la obra.
