In this Weekly Roundup, Brad Onishi and Dan Miller unpack the National Prayer Breakfast and what it revealed about the collapsing boundary between religion and state power in the Trump era. They analyze Paula White's over-the-top praise of Trump, Trump's own religious illiteracy, and his threats to weaponize tax-exempt status against critics, all while positioning Democrats as incapable of genuine faith. The conversation highlights how these moments reflect a broader push toward state-controlled religion and the dangers that poses to democratic pluralism. The episode also examines the racial and cultural flashpoints shaping the current moment, from Trump's reposting of a racist video depicting Barack and Michelle Obama, to Speaker Mike Johnson's theological defense of ICE and mass deportation. Brad and Dan break down how scripture is distorted to justify ethnonationalism, what they call “ICE-egesis,” and how figures like Stephen Wolfe are reshaping Christian nationalism. The episode closes with a look at Super Bowl culture wars, contrasting evangelical counter-programming with Bad Bunny's public resistance, and exploring how Christian parallel culture has shifted from evangelism to exclusion. Today's Headlines: The Epstein files continue to ripple outward. Hillary and Bill Clinton are pushing back on House Republicans by agreeing to testify about Epstein only if the hearing is public, after being subpoenaed for a closed-door session. House Oversight Chair James Comer wants the testimony recorded but not publicly aired, while Epstein's longtime benefactor Les Wexner is expected to give his own deposition later this month. Meanwhile, Brad Karp resigned as chair of powerhouse law firm Paul Weiss after emails revealed his close ties to Epstein, offering yet another reminder of how insulated powerful people stayed for years. Elsewhere, the Trump administration rolled out a new rule making it easier to fire roughly 50,000 senior federal employees, raising alarms about turning the civil service into a political patronage system. Trump also delivered a very on-brand speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, touching on missiles, enemies, and his personal afterlife odds. On the economy front, January layoffs spiked to their highest level since 2009, while hiring hit historic lows, signaling a cooling job market. Investigators are still searching for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, as authorities investigate a possible kidnapping and ransom demands. And finally, in lighter news, the Winter Olympics kick off in Milan tonight — followed by Bad Bunny on Sunday.  Resources/Articles mentioned in this episode: PBS News: Hillary Clinton calls for public hearing in House Epstein investigation Threads - Ali Vitali: Les Wexner expected for House Oversight deposition on Feb. 18th CNN: Chairman of major law firm resigns after Epstein emails become public Axios: Trump administration makes it easier to fire thousands of federal employees PBS: WATCH: Trump says he 'probably should make it' to heaven in wide-ranging remarks at National Prayer Breakfast CNBC: Layoffs in January were the highest to start a year since 2009, Challenger says AP News: Savannah Guthrie's missing mother is 'still out there,' sheriff says, but no suspects NBC News: How to watch the Milan Cortina opening ceremony Morning Announcements is produced by Sami Sage and edited by Grace Hernandez-Johnson Learn more about your ad choices. Dear Humans, Today on The God Show, Jesus and I covered the National Prayer Breakfast, where Donald Trump did his usual holy cosplay while the Epstein story keeps tightening around his neck. At one point he literally told the country to "move on," which is a totally normal thing to say when you're innocent. Then the opening prayer happened. Rep. Jonathan Jackson stood right in front of Trump and prayed for him to find compassion, courage, and clarity, while directly referencing the families burying their loved ones in Minneapolis. In other words: he told Donald to stop being a monster, right to his stupid face. Watching that evil bastard stew through it was pure catharsis. (NOTE: The prayer begins around the 18 minute mark). On today's episode of The God Show, Jesus and I also covered: Trump throwing Pam Bondi under the bus while trying to create legal cover for the Georgia election raid Trump attacking Kaitlan Collins for asking about Epstein survivors, including the "they released too much" lie AI misinformation Epstein distractions and Zoran Mamdani's response A quick run through headlines, including Dem leaders caving on the mask ban for federal immigration agents, GOP retirements, and Elon getting ordered to sit for a deposition

It's Friday, February 6th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus 21 of 22 churches destroyed in Christian town in Myanmar since coup On January 30, the Burma Research Institute released a scathing report detailing destructive attacks, murders, and harassment of Christians and churches since the military coup in 2021 that forcefully took control of Myanmar, reports International Christian Concern. Some of the key findings include: 21 out of 22 churches in Thantlang Town, a majority-Christian town, have been destroyed and the town's population displaced since 2021. More than 340 churches and Christian buildings have been destroyed. 149 Christians murdered and 218 imprisoned from 2022 to 2025. One unnamed church leader, who is still living inside Myanmar, testified powerfully that the faithful are now scattered across jungles, remote areas, and informal shelters, struggling to preserve their faith and communal life under constant threat and insecurity. Pastor in India forced to eat cow dung After accusing a pastor in Odisha, India of forcefully converting Hindus to Christianity, a group of Hindu nationalists forced him to eat cow dung and drink sewer water, reports International Christian Concern. The incident occurred on January 4th, but only became widely known in recent days, prompting nationwide outrage and criticism. A mob of 40 people, reportedly affiliated with the Bajrang Dal — the militant wing of the Hindu nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh — stormed a home during a prayer meeting in Parjang village, and accused the pastor of conducting “forced religious conversions.” Pastor Bipin Bihari Naik was dragged from the house and beaten with sticks. His face was smeared with red vermilion. Sandals were hung around his neck. He was then paraded through the village for nearly two hours. Pastor Naik was eventually taken to a local Hindu temple, where his hands were tied to a metal rod, and he was forced to consume cow dung and drink water from a sewer. They also tried to force the pastor to chant Hindu slogans, but he refused to do so. In a statement on X, Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, wrote, “Forcing a human being to eat cow dung is a deeply inhuman act, emboldened by the silence and complicity of BJP-led governments.” Landslide in Congo kills 200 miners A landslide last week collapsed several tunnels at a major coltan mine in eastern Congo, leaving at least 200 people dead in the rebel-controlled site, reports the Associated Press. The collapse occurred  Wednesday at the Rubaya mines, controlled by the Rwanda-backed M23 rebels, after heavy rains caused several hand-dug tunnels in the unregulated mine to cave. The M23 rebels and the Congolese government traded accusations over responsibility as reports from the remote region began to emerge. The collapse is one of the deadliest disasters in years in an area already facing a humanitarian crisis and ongoing conflict. Trump announced prayer gathering to rededicate America to God Appearing at the National Prayer Breakfast, President Donald Trump explained that the Department of Education will protect the right of public school students to pray. TRUMP: “Today, I'm also pleased to announce that the Department of Education is officially issuing its new guidance to protect the right to prayer in our public schools. That's a big deal.” (applause) President Trump also announced that Americans are invited to attend a special prayer event on the 250th birthday of America in our nation's capital. TRUMP: “In the last 12 months, young Americans attended church at nearly twice the rate as they did four years ago to support this exciting renewal. This morning, I'm pleased to announce that on May 17, we're inviting Americans from all across the country to come together on our National Mall to pray. We're going to rededicate America as one nation under God.” (applause) Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.” NBC anchor Savannah Guthrie addresses kidnappers of her mother In a tearful video posted Wednesday on Instagram, “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie — flanked by her sister, Annie Guthrie, and her brother, Camron Guthrie, pleaded for more information from the possible kidnapper of her 84-year-old mother, saying her family is “ready to talk,” reports NBC News. GUTHRIE: “Our mom is our heart and our home. She is 84 years old. Her health, her heart is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine. She needs it to survive. We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you. And we are ready to listen.” In the Instagram video, Savannah thanked the public for “the prayers for our beloved mom,” Nancy Guthrie, who was last seen Saturday night in her home outside Tucson, Arizona. She was reported missing after she did not show up for church.  Nancy had no cognitive issues, and her disappearance was not linked to dementia. Blood was found on the front porch of Guthrie's house. DNA analysis has confirmed the blood belongs to Nancy Guthrie. A doorbell camera to her home was disconnected and removed at 1:47 local time and at 2:28, Guthrie's pacemaker was disconnected from her phone, an app shows. Fox10 TV reports that investigators are taking seriously a ransom note sent to a handful of media outlets connected to her disappearance. Heith Janke, the FBI chief in Phoenix, announced that they have arrested Derrick Callella in Hawthorne, California. Shocking lessons taught on college campuses today And finally, according to Students for Life's January newsletter, college students are being taught shocking lessons – often paid for by our tax dollars. * Harvard University has a class called, "Come hammered. Get Nailed: Safe Sex Under the Influence.” * Ohio State University features a class entitled, "Fighting Abortion Stigma with Planned Parenthood." * And Grand Valley State University has one called “Breaking Up with Purity Culture.” If that's not enough, they'll be encouraged to write Valentine's Day “thank you” cards to abortionists! The truth is many colleges have turned into little more than recruitment centers for Planned Parenthood's bloody business by first encouraging students to experiment sexually and then funneling vulnerable young women to abortionists to “take care of” or murder the natural consequences of sex – precious little babies. Campus missionaries with Students for Life are confronting the Culture of Death with three outreaches. First, setting up Cemetery of Innocents displays that visually expose the gruesome reality of abortion featuring 1,102 bright pink crosses commemorating the preborn babies aborted by Planned Parenthood every day. Second, hosting table events that spark one-on-one conversations with pro-abortion college students. And third, screening the pro-life movie Unplanned which tells the incredible conversion story of Abby Johnson, who was a Planned Parenthood director-turned-staunch-pro-life-activist, after she witnessed a preborn child squirming for its life away from an abortionist's tools during an abortion. Learn more about the great work of Students for Life at StudentsForLife.org. President Donald Trump says he spoke with Savannah Guthrie and is “deploying all resources to get her mother home safely.” Amid a resurgence of faith across America, Trump suggests this spiritual awakening may be fueling everything from historic drops in crime to renewed national strength. Speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington today, the president rededicated America as one nation under God. ICE is demanding that California turn over 33,000 illegal immigrants from state jails for deportation. Meanwhile, Democrats today unveiled their official proposals to reform the agency, as the clock ticks down on DHS funding following the end of the partial government shutdown.

Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Proof of Life in an AI Age Clay Travis and Buck Sexton begin by highlighting President Donald Trump’s remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast, where he addressed faith in public life, new Department of Education guidance reaffirming the right to prayer in public schools, and ongoing federal responses to unrest and crime in major U.S. cities, including Minneapolis. They preview Trump’s wide‑ranging interview with NBC News’ Tom Llamas, which becomes a central theme throughout the hour. A major portion of Hour 1 of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show is devoted to the alarming and emotional kidnapping case involving the mother of NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie. The hosts play audio from Guthrie’s public plea and analyze the unusual nature of a modern‑day ransom kidnapping in the United States. Clay and Buck discuss why the crime appears targeted rather than random, speculate on possible inside knowledge of the victim’s home and routines, and explore why this type of crime is now rare in America compared to other parts of the world. They also examine how advances in surveillance, DNA evidence, and digital tracking make successful ransom kidnappings increasingly difficult. Throughout the segment, they note that President Trump and FBI Director Kash Patel have committed significant federal resources to the case, underscoring its national visibility and seriousness. Kamala Woofs? A lively and humorous debate about the future of the Democratic Party, centered on Vice President Kamala Harris and the 2028 presidential race. Clay Travis sharply mocks what he characterizes as Kamala Harris’s inauthentic political style, using her recent “Kamala HQ” announcement as an example, and compares it to a famously absurd storyline from The Office. This sparks a prolonged back‑and‑forth between Clay and Buck over whether Harris will run for president again—and whether she could realistically become the Democratic nominee. Clay argues that Harris is likely to run and could benefit from changes to the Democratic primary calendar that elevate Southern states with large Black Democratic electorates, while Buck strongly disagrees, insisting that her past electoral failures and poor performance in swing states make her nomination politically disastrous. The conversation broadens into a larger analysis of Democratic strategy, race, primary politics, and voter turnout. Clay suggests Democrats may once again make a risky strategic decision based on identity politics and narrow electoral margins, while Buck counters that party elites will ultimately coalesce around a different candidate, particularly California Governor Gavin Newsom. Throughout the hour, the hosts reference betting odds, past primary performances, and voter behavior to argue their competing cases, turning their disagreement into an ongoing bet that becomes a recurring and entertaining thread. Clay's Needle and Poop Walk Clay delivers an extended firsthand account of his morning walk through downtown San Francisco ahead of Super Bowl weekend. Broadcasting from the iHeartRadio studios in the city, he describes being advised not to walk for safety reasons and then encountering widespread homelessness, drug use, abandoned needles, and human feces along a short route in the city’s core. Clay uses the experience to argue that urban decay, public drug use, and lack of sanitation are policy failures, contending that visible filth and disorder directly correlate with higher crime rates and declining quality of life in major American cities like San Francisco and Washington, D.C. A central segment of Hour 3 of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show features a detailed live update from Daily Wire reporter Lynden Blake, who monitored the full Arizona press conference on the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping. Blake confirms that a single ransom note was sent to multiple outlets, demanding millions of dollars in Bitcoin, with an initial deadline the same day and a secondary deadline the following Monday accompanied by explicit threats. She explains why authorities believe the notes are credible, citing accurate descriptions of the crime scene, and discusses lingering questions about security cameras, possible inside knowledge of the home, and inconsistencies regarding forced entry. The hosts also explore the family’s request for proof of life and the challenges posed by AI‑generated imagery, underscoring how modern technology complicates hostage negotiations. Sen. Dave McCormick A substantive interview with Senator Dave McCormick, who addresses major national and state policy concerns. McCormick discusses the growing national debt, massive federal deficits, and what he views as Washington’s unwillingness to enact even modest spending reforms. He criticizes resistance to work requirements for able‑bodied Medicaid recipients and warns that without structural changes, entitlement programs will collapse under their own weight. McCormick also speaks at length about bipartisan cooperation in Pennsylvania, highlighting his working relationship with Democratic Senator John Fetterman, their shared stance on issues like fentanyl, energy production, Israel, and government shutdowns, and his willingness to publicly defend Fetterman when he was attacked by his own party. Election integrity and voting laws are another focal point, as McCormick strongly advocates for the SAVE Act and nationwide voter ID requirements. He argues that requiring proof of citizenship is a basic safeguard supported by overwhelming majorities of both Republicans and Democrats and says lawmakers must publicly justify opposition to voter ID to restore trust in U.S. elections. The conversation then shifts to the economy, where McCormick credits President Donald Trump’s tax cuts, deregulation, and energy policies with fueling major investment in Pennsylvania, including tens of billions of dollars committed to energy infrastructure and data centers. He frames U.S. energy dominance and AI development as critical components of global competition, particularly with China. Today on Stinchfield, undeniable proof that President Donald Trump has assembled the greatest cabinet in American history. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent delivered a masterclass before Congress, calmly dismantling Democrat hysteria while laying out a rock solid defense of President Trump’s America First economic agenda. Clear, confident, and in full command of the facts, Bessent showed exactly why Trump’s cabinet stands head and shoulders above anything Washington has seen before. Bessent’s testimony exposed the left’s economic illiteracy and reaffirmed why President Trump’s policies are working. Lower inflation pressure, stronger markets, and a government finally focused on growth instead of globalist fantasies. When Democrats tried to grandstand, Bessent answered with precision and authority, leaving no doubt that the Treasury is in the hands of a serious leader. We also break down President Trump’s powerful remarks at today’s National Prayer Breakfast, where he delivered an unapologetic defense of religious freedom in America. At a time when faith is under constant attack from the radical left, Trump stood firm for believers, churches, and the foundational role faith plays in this nation. Did you hear President Donald Trump's inaugural speech? How about his remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast? In both, Trump spoke openly, bluntly, boldly about the need for America to get back in the faith -- to reclaim the greatness of our country that comes from the Creator. And after four long years of having the previous administration push transgender rights, gay rights, and all things secular, all while hanging the rainbow flag from the White House -- having a president who actively and unabashedly embraces God is not only refreshing; it's a bright shiny ray of sunshine on America's future. God-given rights and liberties are the basic building blocks of American Exceptionalism. Thankfully, faith seems to be surging in America right now, and that all bodes well for the fate of American individualism. Pastor, author, podcaster and public speaker David Fiorazo discusses the crucial links between faith and liberty.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Show (02/06/2025): 3:05pm- Democrats continue to panic over the Trump Administration's threat to dismantle and restructure the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). On Tuesday, the administration announced that many employees within the agency will be placed on leave—with many contractors being laid off. Secretary of State Marco Rubio explained that many of USAID's activities are currently “conflicting” with State Department priorities. According to reports, USAID may ultimately be merged with the State Department. 3:15pm- As the Trump Administration begins to reconstruct USAID, Congressman Brian Mast posted a video to social media highlighting some of USAID's most outrageous expenditures. Rep. Mast's list includes: $15 million for contraceptives to the Taliban, $20k for drag shows in Venezuela, $450k to promote atheism in Nepal, $1 million to unionize gig workers in Brazil, $55k for a climate change presentation in Argentina, $350 million to build pier in Gaza, and $450k to help Indonesian coffee companies become more climate and gender friendly. 3:40pm- While speaking with the press, Kansas City Chiefs tight end—and Taylor Swift's boyfriend—Travis Kelce was asked how he felt about President Donald Trump attending Sunday's Super Bowl. Kelce said he considers it an honor to play in front of the president. Progressives on social media were, of course, outraged by the comments. Notably, Taylor Swift vocally backed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. 3:50pm- On Sunday, President Donald Trump will become the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl. Rich, Matt, and Justin wonder—who is Trump rooting for? The Kansas City Chiefs or the Philadelphia Eagles? 4:05pm- On Thursday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order preventing biological males from competing in women's sports. During the White House event announcing the decision, Trump was surrounded by female athletes and women in sports including Paula Scanlan, Riley Gaines, Jennifer Sey, and Sage Steele. CNN Senior Political Writer and Analyst Harry Enten noted that, according to polling, 79% of Americans agree that biological males should not be permitted to participate in women's sports. 4:30pm- Eugene Kontorovich—Professor at George Mason University Scalia School of Law—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his latest op-ed for The Wall Street Journal, “The U.S. Has Rights Over the Panama Canal.” Kontorovich notes that Chinese firms currently control two large ports on the Panama Canal—one on each end of the canal. But because China is a communist regime, there should be no distinction between privately-owned and government-controlled firms. Consequently, this could amount to impermissible foreign influence. It's Friday, February 7th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Vietnamese pastor harassed and arrested by Communists Pastor Nguyen Manh Hung, age 71, was arrested on January 16th for a Facebook post that criticized Vietnam's communist government, reports International Christian Concern. Authorities charged Nguyen with promoting “anti-state propaganda,” a charge that carries a maximum of 20 years in prison. Police reportedly cut off the power to the pastor's home, entered the home, and arrested the pastor. Officers also confiscated documents, laptops, and phones. Matthew 5:10 says, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.” Authorities have harassed Pastor Nguyen several times in the last 15 years. But he has continued to publicly challenge corruption and human rights abuses from the communist government, including appearing in 2015 before a U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee investigating violations of religious freedoms in Vietnam. According to Open Doors, Vietnam is the 44th worst country worldwide for the persecution of Christians. Trump: “America will always be one nation under God!” President Donald Trump spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast yesterday which was held in the Washington Hilton, reports The Christian Post. TRUMP: “From the earliest days of our republic, faith in God has always been the ultimate source of the strength that beats in the hearts of our nation. America is and will always be one nation under God.” President Trump referred to the Christian faith of John Winthrop, a Puritan lawyer who helped found the Massachusetts colony, and Roger Williams, a Puritan minister who founded Providence Plantations which became Rhode Island. TRUMP: “Just steps away from here, in the Hall of Columns, is the statue of John Winthrop, who famously proclaimed that America would stand as a city upon a hill, a light to all nations. “In that same hall, we also find the statue of the great Roger Williams, who founded the state of Rhode Island, named its capital city, Providence, and built the First Baptist Church in America. It's Williams that we have to thank for making religious liberty part of the bedrock of American life, and today, we must protect the fundamental freedom with absolute devotion.” Trump forms task force to stop anti-Christian bias in government President Trump indicated he would form a task force to stop anti-Christian bias in the federal government. TRUMP: “Today, I'm signing an executive order to make our Attorney General, Pam Bondi, the head of a task force, brand new, to eradicate anti-Christian bias. The mission of this task force will be to immediately halt all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government, including at the DOJ, which was absolutely terrible, the IRS, the FBI and other agencies. “In addition, the task force will work to fully prosecute anti-Christian violence and vandalism in our society and to move Heaven and Earth to defend the rights of Christians and religious believers nationwide.” That task force will be a welcome respite after four years of demonstrable anti-Christian bias at Biden's Department of Justice and the FBI. District Judge has delayed Trump deadline for federal workers to take buyout Yesterday, a federal judge has delayed a midnight deadline issued by the Trump administration for federal workers to make a buyout choice as more than 60,000 staffers have already opted to take the offer, reports NewsNationNow.com. Millions of U.S. government employees had been facing a Thursday deadline to decide whether to accept a buyout offer from the Trump administration or remain in their position. Those who chose to stay still risked being laid off. U.S. District Judge George O'Toole, a Bill Clinton appointee, ruled in favor of several labor unions that had requested a temporary restraining order against the plan spearheaded by Trump adviser Elon Musk. The judge didn't express an opinion on the legality of the program and directed administration officials to extend the deadline to apply for the program until after a hearing scheduled for this Monday. President Trump's push to reduce the size of the government is unprecedented, causing turmoil in Washington, and triggering protests and union concerns over potential legal violations. So far, more than 60,000 employees, about 2% of the federal civilian workforce, have accepted the buyout with more expected to join them. It remains unclear how many of the federal government's 2.3 million civilian workers will ultimately agree to the offer, which guarantees pay through September if they resign by Thursday. U.S.. taxpayers funded transgender opera in Columbia and trans comic book in Peru The United States Agency for International Development, which was created by President John F. Kennedy in 1961, has become a conduit for waste, fraud and abuse.  With a budget of over $50 billion, USAID is one of the largest official aid agencies in the world and accounts for more than half of all U.S. foreign assistance. Thanks to Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency the taxpayer-funded gravy train is finally coming to an end. Outside the White House, Karoline Leavitt, President Trump's Press Secretary, listed some objectionable expenditures of the United States Agency for International Development. LEAVITT: “If you look at the waste and abuse that has run through USAID over the past several years, these are some of the insane priorities that that organization has been spending money on.  $1.5 million to advance [Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion] in Serbia's workplaces. $70,000 for a production of a DEI musical in Ireland. $47,000 for a transgender opera in Colombia, $32,000 for a transgender comic book in Peru. “I don't know about you, but as an American taxpayer, I don't want my dollars going towards this crap. I know the American people don't either. That's exactly what Elon Musk has been tasked by President Trump to do: to get the fraud, waste and abuse out of our federal government.” Nearly all 14,000 staff members for the U.S. Agency for International Development, will be placed on leave tonight, according to the agency.  In addition, all overseas missions for USAID had been ordered to shut down yesterday, reports CBS News.  Jump-roping champion saves teen out of icy waters And finally, a famous jump-roper, David Fisher, recently saved a young man from drowning after he fell through the ice on a frozen lake, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org. Near his home in Westfield, Indiana, Fisher, age 61, discovered a teenage boy who had fallen into the icy waters through thin ice as he tried to rescue his dog who had met the same fate, according to the Washington Post. Fisher instinctively grabbed the two long cloth ropes he uses for Double Dutch jumping and ran out to the lake. In God's providence, the boy grabbed the jump rope, got back onto the ice, and Fisher pulled him to safety. John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.” Or, in this case, an absolute stranger!
