We're digging into why these symptoms matter when you are TTC. Many times we get myopically focused on egg health and miss all the other symptoms that may be contributing to our fertility diagnosis. Our body wants to procreate, but right now, it may be under attack by seemingly healthy foods, gut infections, environmental toxins and more. We can research and figure out what worked for someone else or take a targeted approach and determine what is right for our bodies. With a targeted approach, you can get pregnant naturally or increase your chances of pregnancy success with your eggs. This episode is for you: 1. You know there is a reason why it's not working, but no one has run the tests to figure out why (hint, it's not about focusing on egg quality) 2. You want to get pregnant naturally, but you were told that IVF is your only option, and it has you second-guessing your decision 3. You are moving to IVF in the next 3-6 months and want to improve your chances of it working. In this episode, you'll learn: 1) The top symptoms and themes we see with low AMH, high FSH, premature ovarian insufficiency and diminished ovarian reserve so that you can improve pregnancy success 2) Why IVF may not be your next best step and how to know when it is right for you 3) How to optimize your chances of a successful IVF after failed, cancelled or being told you are a “poor responder” --- Fab Fertile Method https://www.fabfertile.com/what-we-do/ Stuck in a food rut? When was the last time curiosity got the better of you on a business trip? In this rare solo episode, Jason explores roads less traveled. Literally. The world has reopened. Airports are busier than ever. Calling on clients is what business travel is all about, but is there room in your schedule for unexpected experiences? It doesn't take much (if any) planning to get off the beaten path for a few hours, as Jason discovered on a recent trip to Salt Lake City. When a wonky gap in the schedule left him with some time to kill, he had two choices: head to his hotel room or let a Google Map suggestion lead him in a completely serendipitous direction. The following day, when Jason mentioned the excursion to his client, she shared with him a website (and podcast) that lists many such hidden gems: Atlas Obscura. For those unfamiliar with Atlas Obscura, think of it as a virtual concierge with suggestions for weird and wonderful experiences worldwide. There's probably a business metaphor connected to Jason's pedal-to-the-metal experience out on the Flats. Instead, he's content to keep the lesson literal for now. “You know, this little Google Map suggestion totally opened my eyes, and it reminded me that there are some really cool things in the world.” Make time for wonder on your next business trip. Numbers 13:33 And there we saw the giants. It is easy to be a realist and only see what our physical eyes show us. But this often leads to a faulty interpretation of reality. In all things, we must take our faith into account and remember God's promises.
The power of our own understanding can enhance or destroy our walk with God. Because this is a Faith walk, we have to believe in the impossible. Many things that we want to see happen are not obvious or feasible within our natural means. So, we have to step into the realm of faith and allow the hand of God to navigate our situation. Studying and embracing the words of the Lord allows us to embrace our primary assignment. First, please, subscribe, in your preferred app, to partake in freshly released anointed prayers and receive Spiritual insight. All honor and glory belong to the most high God for he is worthy of the praise. Acknowledging on today that God is mighty and all situations, circumstances and sicknesses. 161: Measuring Success: How Nonprofit Leaders Can Look Beyond the Numbers (Megha Desai)SUMMARYHow do you measure nonprofit success? Unlike the for-profit sector, where metrics are clear, the charitable sector isn't always as straightforward. In episode #161 of Your Path to Nonprofit Leadership, Megha Desai takes a hard look at how, as nonprofit leaders, we measure success and how we communicate that success to our donors and key constituents. Megha explains how she makes decisions based on the people she serves then uses the data to validate rather than the other way around, something large institutional donors have been shifting towards. Having converted her family foundation to a public 501(c)(3) programmatic nonprofit, she shares some unique opportunities and significant challenges the organization faced. Do you allow mission creep to acquire funding? Learn how to resist designated giving and remain mission focused.ABOUT MEGHAMegha is President of the Desai Foundation, a public foundation that aims to elevate the health and livelihood of women and children through community programs in the U.S. and India. She helped transform the organization's mission, work, and message leading to its transformation from a small family foundation to a robust public foundation. Her leadership has helped put the Desai Foundation on the map through heralded events, like Diwali on the Hudson and the Lotus Festival, along with highly impactful programming leveraging strong partners on the ground in the US and India. The Desai Foundation focuses on sustainable development through vocational classes, health camps, community volunteer outreach, and sanitary napkin programs. The organization, to date, has impacted over a million lives in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh, India; Metro-Boston; and Harlem, New York. Megha currently sits on the advisory boards of several start-ups and non-profits, including Take Two Academy, TYE Boston – TiE Young Entrepreneurs, and NPR's Generation Listen. Megha was nominated for India New England's Woman of the Year Award in 2017. Megha holds a B.A. in Economics from Barnard College of Columbia University and completed the Executive Program for Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford Business School.EPISODE TOPICS & RESOURCESGood to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap and Other's Don't by Jim CollinsLearn more about the Desai Foundation herePatton's new book: Your Path to Nonprofit Leadership: Seven Keys to Advancing Your Career in the Philanthropic Sector?

Guest Joey Seeber prides himself on bringing out the best in his team in the courtroom, at his legal firm, and as an elected public official. He says finding the right person for the job starts with understanding yourself and your organization's values. Seeber reflects on what went right and what went wrong when assembling teams. At his company, Level Legal, he focuses on culture and fit by identifying core values and living by them: “Give a damn. Get it done right. Show respect.” Everything starts with the interview, asking important questions that align with the organization's values instead of checking boxes. What interview questions are you asking? Do they connect to your values? Before you seek a new team member, do you understand what makes your organization work? Hear how Seeber focuses on indicators of success and learned the difference between a “job description” and a “role description.” As he says, “look beyond the resume.” Special thanks to our sponsors LawClerk, Alert Communications, LawYaw, and Scorpion.

I have a candid and interesting conversation with Evita “Lavitaloca” Sawyers a Non-Monogamy Coach about how as a society, we can get out of the default Standard Model of relationships and on to an Individualized Relationship style. As you know this is a favorite topic of mine, as I have been doing some form of Non-Monogamy for over 15 years. Evita has also lived the Poly Experience, an educator on the subject, she is the creator of “Today's Polyamory Reminder” on IG (@Lavitaloca34 highly recommend you follow, her content is on point). Featured in the groundbreaking polyamorous documentary “Poly-Love, she is both frank yet empathetic. I appreciated her vulnerable openness about her own challenges in Non-Monogamy and helping others to grow. The great common thread that is being shared is how no matter your relationship style goes the first and most important relationship you have is with yourself.

It's not uncommon for marketers and business leaders to hear the methodologies we talk about at Refine Labs and immediately dismiss them as “ineffective”, “clickbait”, or a number of other things. But the reality is, companies only fail to succeed with our methodologies when they continue to measure marketing with the same vanity metrics that have been pushed by MarTech vendors since 2010. When you stop measuring success by the quantity of MQLs and start measuring the quality of the leads that come directly to your website asking for a demo, the results speak for themselves. In this episode, Chris demonstrates this point by diving into a modern buying journey. You'll notice that a huge majority of the touchpoint can't be measured by MarTech. Look beyond where you fall short. Don't see your weaknesses as your downfalls. See them as a way to make your strengths stronger and your weaknesses weaker. Life is not about being perfect. So why do you keep striving for perfection? Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. http://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT Let go of the excuses that keep you shackled to what holds you back. Look beyond where you fall short. If you think about it, failure is simply an opportunity to learn and grow. And with growth comes wisdom. Take the wisdom that you learn day in and day out, and start becoming what you desire within yourself. The K.I.S.S. ~ Look beyond where you fall short! I had a conversation with one of my son's friends after school. He had convinced himself that there was no way he could reach his dream because of his circumstances, because of his weaknesses. He quickly resorted to the excuse of, "I lack motivation for anything. I don't like school and find it difficult to do what I don't like." Within a few minutes of inspiration, he left our vehicle knowing that he is not defined by his failures. There is still hope for him to do exactly what he desires. It won't come with ease, but he still can achieve that which he desires. Look beyond where you fall short. We most certainly can be our worst enemy. We see what stands in the way instead of seeing what is possible with hard work along the way. The difference is knowing you can and not accepting what you can't. Look beyond where you fall short. When many of Jesus' disciples returned to their former way of life after Jesus confronted them on their belief of Him and His words, Jesus turns to the 12 apostles and asks them, “Do you also want to leave?” Simon Peter responds, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.” What a profound response.
